Provider-sourced guest reviews.
The views from the property were lovely . The breakfast was really nice. They catered well for vegetarians . It was very clean
The incline to access the property by foot but the views were worth it
The hotel architecture was magnificent and the views were stunning
The hill up was hard, but you don't have views without the climb.
Great views and location. Breakfast lovely
Dining room and dressing are tired and need renewing. Eg table mats, chairs Breakfast plates too hot - blistered my finger. Could be dangerous for a child.
The hotel was clean Comfortable staff polite
Unfortunately the location Was not good The walk up to hotel was difficult at times
Best breakfast you could ever eat
The hill climb
Bett und Blick
Lage, kein Parkplatz, Bad leicht veraltet
Lovely old hotel but very nice and well maintained with stunning views from the rooms we had the very top room with the best views of Llandudno and Conway the breakfasts where lovely with a great choice of cereal and fruit the full English breakfasts are really nice using fresh local produce the staff are amazing and go out of their way to help you would highly recommend
At the top of a steep hill would be a struggle for those who struggle to walk
Ideal location for us woth our dog with easy access to the happy valley park
Stunning views
Sticky surfaces on the bed headboard. The bar top. Dusty greasy mirrors and bottles throughout the bar. No hotel information in the room. No local tourist information leaflets. No breakfast menus.
Old world charm and position
Nothing to speak of
Lovely views and lovely staff
Table cloths for breakfast needed changing as they were dirty
L'emplacement est parfait est la vue exceptionnelle.
Un petit rafraîchissement serait nécessaire mais on oublie vite avec la vue et le petit déjeuner.
Decor was superb and spotlessly clean
Nothing it was beautiful
We easily parked in front and the place has lovely views over the seafront. The room was comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and still smelled of bleach a bit. The breakfast offered cereal and bread options as well as cooking to order. There were a lot of food options and they were good. The windows in the breakfast room had a great view. It was quiet at night. The free wifi worked well. The tv worked well. The room was supplied with a kettle, coffee and tea tray.
The parking was all fit into a drive which meant the people parked in front of us were stuck until we moved out. When, we arrived, we had to go searching for someone to check us in and then I did not find him very friendly. This was minor though.
The Hotel is high up over looking the Town giving us a wonderful view of the promenade and the wider surroundings. Our room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was good. The breakfast was very good, plenty of cereal, fruit and croissants and freshly cooked to order bacon ,egg etc. The original features of the building have been retained and the staircase especially is wonderful. The staff, especially Katie were very friendly and helpful .
The whole place needs a 'tidy up' with some new furniture and carpets and some redecorating, however this did not detract from the enjoyment of our holiday. If you appreciate old buildings and can manage to walk uphill take a look at the photographs on the website.
No lift a lot of steps to get to room on top floor
The breakfast was very good. Many many options and the ability to have your breakfast cooked to order. I liked the location as it was close to and easy walking distance to town. But away from the hustle and bustle at the same time. Nicely located at the top of the hill and not too terrible for parking. Free as well.
The bed was a bit small for the two of us.
Location is fabulous,
Great views from the Hotel and free parking outside. Good breakfast in the morning.
Important to know that the Hotel is up a steep hill so if you have limited mobility, not the Hotel for you. The flip side of course is the wonderful views. The room decor made the room very dark, so would benefit from brightening up a bit.
Breakfast was great the room was good and the view was good.

The best view and hospjtality
Loved everything
Quiet. Seaview and parking
Staff were really nice and the breakfast selection was very good.
No lift. The room was very small and had a rickety four-poster type structure. Generally very tired. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable and hard. The hotel is located at the top of a hill and quite a hike back up from town. Chatting to another couple at breakfast, and they had the exact same concerns. We only stayed one night as my wife was sat up half the night as unable to sleep on the pillows.
Handy location, spacious room, good breakfast. Good sea view.
The hot water took a while to come through. The shower water pressure could be better.
Breakfast was lovely with a lot of choice. Even made an extra sausage for the dog :) Staff were really helpful and friendly.
Rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment and modernisation.
View was not great, room was nice, location was good.
The housekeeping and receiption staff were courteous and helpful, however the server for the breakfast was a nightmare. She was rude and maybe racisit to us as she was polite to other guests. Parking is limited and street parking is a hit and miss. The hotel has no elevator so had to carry luggage up 2 flights of stairs.
Cosy and welcoming.
My mother is elderly, and we were placed in a room on the very top floor of the hotel. This made her feel unwell at times; she struggled with the stairs.
Breakfast room view was lovely. The room balcony also had a good view. 2 useful tub chairs in the very tight spaced room were useful and comfortable
Decor tired, cobwebs in ceiling corners. Balcony had potential but seating and table needed a refresh, not really useable Ensuite could be improved with more sustainable wash products. There was no hand soap. The paint was peeling badly on radiator and skirtings yellow staining. Bed side lights had dodgy connection one side then failed, other bedside light had no accessible plug
The hotel was quite close to the sea front and pier and near good bars and restaurants
The hotel is very dated,in need of major decoration.the staircase creeked so much you could here people walking up the first floor when we was on the second floor.the bed was so small and rock solid and the pillows was also like blocks of concrete,we did not sleep very well if at all,.The noise coming from the room next door was unbelievable.the bathroom was so small I myself couldn't sit on the toilet properly due to the sink s position.even though we had a sea view the window was dirty and full of condensation so could barely see through it,it looked so much nicer on there website and due to all this we came home a day early as we could not bare to sleep in that bed another night
Foarte veche , este catalogată la 4* , dar este foarte veche și neîngrijită
Foarte veche , este catalogată la 4* , dar este foarte veche și neîngrijită .
Lovely old hotel with some of the best views of Llandudno and the beach. Very friendly staff, amazing breakfast, great facilities in the room with a good bathroom.
The only thing, what comes with an old building, is that our bed and the cabinet with coffee cups shook like we were being hit by an earthquake, every time the people in the room next to us walked around, what they did a lot at night.
The position of the hotel and the original features.
Would benefit from drawers dressing table and table with tv on sprucing up.
Excellent breakfast, good variety. Lovely pure white towels and Bed linen. Fantastic views from the hotel.
La posizione e la struttura suggestiva, ricorda gli ambienti di Agatha Christie.
Odore sgradevole in corridoio, stanza troppo piccola per 4 persone, non si poteva aprire la valigia, letto scomodo.
Very nice location with the beautiful view. Very friendly staff.
Parking is very frustrating. There are just a few parking spaces available.
Location. Vibes, character & feel of an old hotel.
Nothing
Nice and clean, old fashioned Victorian vibe. Lovely views. Friendly helpful staff.
Rattling windows with a draught. Curtains very heavy and difficult to draw. Room small and not much room with 2 big chairs. Bed very hard and solid pillows.
Location was amazing with excellent views .
It’s an old hotel - everything that we needed was available from an old hotel - we are both active so wasn’t a problem but it is on a slope
The rooms are clean and well maintained, the breakfast is well prepared varied and tasty..the staff are chatty but effectively efficient...the whole place is excellent..
Nothing, but for some the hillside position could be a problem
The view and our room had a private balcony. Breakfast was really good they made you hot breakfast of your choice.
Had no fridge and the parking is a bit like tetris.
Location Good breakfast Staff friendly
Furnishings very tired and run down
地點和風景很好。
Good choice of breakfast, hot or continental. Staff happy to provide just what you wanted. Room was clean and comfortable.
We would have liked fresh tea and coffee at the table rather than from a machine. Chairs in the room not the most comfortable.
Location; staffs are friendly, all good.
Very helpful staff Lovely clean hotel Great breakfast choices 3 comfortable nights sleep
Our room looked out onto the side of the hotel. The window in the bedroom could do with a net curtain on it as people passing by could see directly into our room.
El lloc i les vistes
Pàrquing i un hotel amb poca accesibilidad
Great location beautiful room
Parking is a bit tight
Just good location
Rooms were very small
Breakfast was good, as was the breakfast staff... Bed was comfortable, location was good albeit up a very steep hill !
On site parking was non existent, we had to park 5 mins away and then walk up the very steep hill We couldn't access the door entrance properly as ridiculously no room between parked cars !! Room was small, no TV access Breakfast tablecloth and placemat grubby (clearly not cleaned properly from the previous diner). Overpriced !
Good location with views over the bay. Good breakfast. Close to the Great Orme, Happy Valley gardens and Chair Lift.
No lift to floors.
Beautiful views, clean hotel, love the vintage feel
Liked everything
Wunderschön, über der Bucht gelegene alte Villa mit Charme.
Problematisch ist es einen Parkplatz zu finden, vor allem in der Hauptsaison.
We had a spacious room with a lovely sea view.
Great staff, lovely breakfast and good location.
Pillows and bed slightly too hard for us personally. Parking not great.
Stayed in The Bungalow. The views were exceptional especially at night with all the lights from the pier & town. We self catered & the kitchen facilities were good. Large lounge over looking the bay four bedrooms which was great for a family holiday Woke every morning by either Sheep or goats near by which my Grandson loved, and even a cheeky seagull who knocked on our door for breakfast every day - very funny.
Decor a little dated - needs possibly updating ie carpets & curtains Car parking not great - not many spaces or turning room, as at top of hill. Very steep hill up to hotel & quite a lot of concrete steps up to hotel & bungalow from car park. Older people or those with disabilities will struggle,
Clean. Great breakfast. Great staff.
Nothing , apart from the hill & parking was tight.
Breakfast was good, very hot and service was excellent. Thanks to the staff very helpful and kind
None
Lovely hotel and great location. Easy to park as well.
No lift but with it being an old hotel I can see why there isn't one
Couldent fault hotel
The approach to hotel you have to climb Cardiac hill apart from that couldent fault hotel
Friendly staff super location
Needs some tlc , furniture in communal areas , outside seating area very untidy
Located by the beachfront
In as much as the hotel is a victorian style, it is very dirty and does not seem well maintained. The carpets were old, dusty and had visible dirt stains everywhere. Everything in the hotel looks very old and dated. The rooms had an awful stench and there was hair stuck in one of the showers. Breakfast was served on dirty table cloths with visible dirt stains on the placemats. Everything was awful and looked dirty.
Needs renovating. Weaking water. Damaged walls dated
The buffet was not the biggest I have seen, however the food was fresh and good quality. The cooked part was excellent.
The furniture in our room did not offer enough storage.
Läget var bra, nära en vandringsled, men lite jobbigt att gå i brant uppförsbacke när man varit i stan. Frukosten var toppen!
Lite trångt rum.
Lovely friendly staff who were always positive and helpful. Breakfast selection was good. A great place to come away with our granddaughter.
.
The view
Breakfast poor. No soap or shampoo in bathroom. Bed uncomfortable. Whole place a bit dated. Parking very tight. This was supposed to be 4 star and in my opinion was anything but, 3 at very best.
L’emplacement, la serviabilité du personnel, l’originalité
Chambre et salle de bain exiguë
The hotel was well located, with the cable car just over the way & the town including the pier at the bottom of the road the hotel is on. Great location for a family. The building is a beautiful old building and we liked the way it’s decorated inside to be in keeping with its age. The staff were the stars of the show for us, from check in, to getting drinks at the bar, to breakfast & checking out the staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was very clean too.
If we had to pick on something it would be the finish to the bedroom & bathroom. It’s a little dated and basic, it didn’t cause us any problem but a freshen up would go a long way.
Stunning views of Llandudno
No lift
Das Frühstück war hervorragend, die Lage gut. Alles war wie beschrieben und hat uns gefallen.
Everything
It was all good
Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was a good choice and cooked nice. Got to choose as we are fussy with food. View was amazing. Lady was lovely and very welcoming and helpful.
Old windows were hard to open making the room very hot. Didnt realise it was up such a steep hill. Difficult for older people to walk up
We picked this place because the old features had been kept, and the fact it had a bar, the views were amazing. The room was supplied with a fan, iron and board, and a hairdryer
We know you can't suit everyone all of the time and we are a little fussy but with money we paid we expected a little more. The room was small we felt more like a single size room than a double, the bathroom was so tight to get into and if anyone flushed their toilet or ran water in another room it sounded like it was in our bathroom. The bed wasn't level and everytime someone moved next door it moved our headpost, we didn't sleep well at all. As far as breakfast is concerned I would recommend anyone not to book for the latest time available, when we went down there wasn't much left to choose from as far as fruit or juice is concerned, you have to get your own tea/coffee, toast and deli - if any left! - as far as cooked breakfast is concerned I had no trouble with mine but my husbands was both undercooked and the beans I'm not sure how to discribe them - more like mushy beans! Parking - not enough room for cars and once the parking spaces are full there are problems trying to walk past them, once the car park is full (5 cars) you have to park on the road and it's very tight at the top for you turn your car round, we actually reversed all the way back down. We knew it was on a hill but didn't realise it was so steep so be aware when booking, I have fibromyalgia and my husband has COPD and the hill along with the fact we didn't sleep well and wasn't too happy with our accommodation we actually left a day early.
Great room and breakfast.
No lift
La situation geographique, le côté surrané de l'hotel
Le petit déjeuné moyen, pas d'internet à l'hotel
Arrived early, but staff still allowed us access to the drive to park the car while we explored Llandudno town. A few minutes walk to everything we needed. Lovely views over the bay.
Nothing
The location was great, although up hill walk from the town. Easy access to the Orme. Our room had an outside verandah which weather allowing is great. It's a lovely old building with a grand staircase, and lovely views over Llandudno. There is parking, but first come first served, so you have to be lucky.
Not a problem for us, but no lift.
Fabulous position with amazing views. Lovely sun terrace. Great breakfast but you need a good appetite to do it justice 👍
Shower room a little cramped but understandable as it is a beautiful Victorian building
The hotel is on top of the hill with a breathtaking view. Staff are friendly and nice. The cable car is just nearby the hotel
The hotel itself is old-fashioned and not well maintained. It seems like carpets are not cleaned, and furniture needs refurbishment. Every step you make in the stairs will make noise. The room we got is also smaller than I expected. It looks big as advertised. Toilet/Loo is also small, unpleasant, and uncomfortable
Great value, lovely breakfast and superb location whilst quiet
Parking a bit limited but manageable
Very convenient location by the park. Lovely views and very dog friendly.
Very friendly efficient staff, nothing too much trouble
Not ideal for people with mobility problems as it's situated on a steep hill
Great location... Helpful staff... Car Parking... Marvellous views from top floor sea room...
Sausages at breakfast...!
Location. Staff very nice
We were in room 25 . There were 3 mirrors in the room but unless you were very tall you couldn’t see yourself .
Beautiful room, old fashioned charm. Great that there was a fan in the room as it was hot. Also great there was a shower cap! Loved the decor and the fact that the hotel has kept its character. The lady who served breakfast was very nice.
There was no one on reception when I arrived and when the man eventually appeared he wasn't particularly friendly or welcoming. The breakfast wasn't great. Mushrooms were either tinned or microwaved.
Nice staff and a good breakfast. Good view towards the pier and town.
A little dated with some room for improvement but did not detract from our enjoyment
Very lovely. Beautiful bay view. Pets friendly. Good breakfast.
Staff excellent . First class breakfast . Accommodation very comfortable.
Lovely old hotel. Very clean friendly staff. Extremely comfortable bed. Breakfast delicious and good service. A sausage for my dog too!
Nothing. Just a steep climb up to it but not a problem for me.
The one member of staff tried valiantly.
Breakfast did not happen - only served from 8am. Hotel was straight out of the 1970's, and nothing like as advertised.
Clean and tidy. Beautiful views
Stiff walk to hotel
The location and view from our room.
A little dated, blinds in the bathroom would have been nice.. it was very hot and nothing to keep the sun out.
Perfect location , friendly staff, lovely breakfast, clean & comfortable room.
Nothing
Die Lage war wunderschön.
Herausforderung mit der Duschtemperatur
Views over the township were great. Good breakfast.
Stairs - we were put in the second floor - too many stairs for an 81 yr old. A double bed - very small for tall people such as us. Not a friendly welcome when we checked in.
Great views location and car parking and good size room
Good location friendly staff great breakfast although no menu
The room was very dated with old furniture and no hair dryer
Good breakfast
Clean bed but rest of room tired and in need of up grade
Love this style
