Zenmaya Oceanfront Phuket, Trademark Collection by Wyndham vs Similar Hotels

Rooms were spacious, clean, and had a nice structure.

Rooms are described as clean and in some cases spacious, but there are recurring notes about small rooms, hill-side layout with many stairs, and some dated fittings (e.g., shower products, window issues).

Rooms are often described as spacious, pampering and offering private pools; issues mentioned include bathroom door/privacy and occasional insect presence, so room quality is positive but not perfect.

Rooms described as old with outdated facilities.

Some inconsistency in room cleaning and reports of hairs in the bath.

Mixed mentions: several guests praise cleanliness (rooms, spa), but there are complaints about overall hotel cleaning standards, old pool towels and a bathroom window that doesn't close properly causing odors.

Mixed reports: several guests praised clean rooms, but multiple reviews explicitly mention unclean bed covers and occasional insects/gnats, so cleanliness is slightly below the overall target.

Guests reported dirty rooms and poor maintenance.

Beautiful location right on the beach; however, access to town could be challenging.

Many guests highlight the convenient location near Patong beach and local restaurants and describe walking distance or quiet but close to center. Some note it is not truly beachfront and rooms are up a hill requiring shuttles.

Mixed: some guests cite a great, quiet location and proximity to a pound/attractions, others note it is a bit far from tourist spots or uphill and less convenient for shops, so location is slightly below top score.

Location was generally described as good.

Staff provided great service and were professional.

Service is frequently praised (friendly and helpful staff, spa staff highly professional, specific praise for staff member Khomsan). A few reports of rude restaurant staff reduce this slightly but overall service is a strong point.

Generally positive: many guests note quick, helpful and friendly staff and good reception; isolated complaints about poor check-in experience and long waits reduce consistency but overall service is strong.

Mixed feedback; some praised the helpfulness of staff.

Breakfast options were limited and did not meet expectations.

Generally praised: breakfast and food receive multiple positive mentions. Some guests note limited variety at times and pool towels/serving issues, but overall F&B is a strong aspect.

Positive mentions of excellent breakfast and liked the food offerings in several reviews, supporting a score above the target.

Breakfast quality was reported as poor.

Limited amenities noted, including a lack of food options after hours.

Good amenities overall: multiple pools, spa and gym well regarded. Negatives include repetitive/no music at waterfall pool, old pool towels, and limited shuttle frequency to upper rooms.

Strong amenities: multiple comments praise pools, water-park, lobby and private-pool rooms; one note about a cold pool temp slightly reduces enthusiasm but facilities are generally highlighted as a major pro.

Some amenities like the gym and pool were noted as inadequate or closed.

Hotel considered expensive for offered services, but good overall quality.

Mixed value perception: food and staff praised but complaints about extra charges (child bed fee), crowded/limited breakfast space and some worn facilities reduce perceived value.
