On night so difficult to getting the room

Great location in town, friendly and helpful staff, spacious, modern and comfortable rooms, an enclosed shower that doesn't get the whole bathroom wet, and a rooftop swimming pool and bar, what more could you ask for?

Location is more convenient for travelling to adjoining areas including Galleface, Fort, Bambalapitiya and Wellawatte.

Even though the location is more convenient for many activities and transport to nearby areas, this area is frequented by scammers in the name of three wheel drivers. We had a couple of encounters with these men while we were staying at this hotel. The porters in the hotel were a bit unprofessional as they talk loudly along the coridors and come and go all the time rather than having a set time for their routines. Restarant food quality was not up to the standard expected from a well established hotel which has been in business for several decades.

The location of the hotel is great . On the main road with great accessibility to nearby restaurants, supermarkets. Very easy to get a cab. The staff is very polite and attentive to the guest's needs.

The size of the room was a bit smaller than I had expected.

Chambres communicantes pour famille; chambres spacieuses et fonctionnelles. Emplacement qui nous convenait bien, proche bord de mer, cafés à proximité et autres services. Le toit terrasse avec sa piscine est simple mais très appréciable.

Prix du buffet petit déjeuner élevé. Problème de climatisation dans les deux chambres, malgré l’intervention du personnel.

Emplacement très pratique pour visiter la ville. La piscine à débordement avec vue sur l'océan. Les chambres qui sont confortables et le room service pour les ados (BK de l'autre coté de la rue aussi). Personnel souriant et attentif.

Chambres un peu tristes par rapport aux photos. Petit-déjeuner de l'autre coté de la rue dans un bâtiment sombre. Rapport qualité prix moyen au final : la mer n'est pas belle (saison des pluies fin juillet/début aout), il n'y a pas de plage (le train passe en bord de mer sur un remblai) et la piscine sur le toit n'a pas de vue sur la ville. En fait Colombo .... bof.

I liked the rooftop pool, it had a good view overlooking the ocean, especially during sunset. Location was convenient by taxi, car or bus. They were able to accommodate a late check out

My room had cigarette smoke scent even though it was a non-smoking room. I was only there for 1 night and didn't bother providing feedback.

L’emplacement est plutôt bon. La propreté est correct.

Le personnel de la réception n’était pas avenante, ni accueillante. Facturer 800RS une simple bouteille d’eau. Alors qu’elle coûte 75RS à la supérette qui se trouve à 200m ce n’est pas correct. Aussi le bar censé être ouvert. Ne l’est jamais.

Good Location with Sea view and Good Checkout Time

Water In the tap, was hot like steam. Its centralized water heater. I burn my Hand badly just by one touch. I was so careful my kids should not open the Water tap without us. Also the shower was having that much heat water. Be very Careful

The staff were really accommodating!

I was bitten by something pretty aggressively in my sleep and had a rash across my stomach for over a week.

Mijn eerste kamer bevond zich op dezelfde gang als een rokerskamer - aantal keer van kamer moeten veranderen om een kamer zonder sigarettengeur te krijgen. Maar personeel heeft hier geen probleem van gemaakt

Nous avons réservé pour 4 personnes. On nous a donné une chambre pour 2 et malgré une discussion avec eux, nous devions nous débrouiller avec ça. Soit, dormir à 4 dans le lit ! Du grand n’importe quoi ! Ils n’ont rien voulu savoir.

This property is extremely ordinary, just don’t stay there!

On arrival our first room had a vile smell that was nauseating, we were moved to another room that also had the same smell. The whole property has a very musty damp smell. The rooftop bar/pool facilities and service is very poor.

Zimmer wurde nie gemacht, man musste selber nach WC Papier fragen, Kübel wurden nie gelehrt.

Hotel has 3 sections so getting from one to another and the pool was not straightforward, may e due to middle east problem but checked online and better hotels for the cost.

L'espace piscine en rooftop n'est pas comme illustré sur les photos, beaucoup moins attrayant. L'hôtel est situé en bord de mer mais séparé par une voie de chemin de fer.

Everything else was bad to be noted. Body felt itchy due to bed bed had cockroach bad standard to be noted.

Only good thing about this hotel is the location. Its very close to Adyar Ananda Bhavan...thats all...nothing else!

Useless Staff who cancelled our booking saying AC is not working. Morons ! Totally incompetent. Stay in a good place and save yourself these idiots. Only reason we booked this was it was close to Adyar Ananda Bhavan we needed a veg restaurant nearby.

The staff are not professional at all ( front office staff knock on the door from early morning asking to pay immediately if we need to extend the reservation and the hold POS payment machine!), also the breakfast ends at 9:30 am it should be 11

Manque de transats à la piscine en fin d'après-midi trop de monde donc pas de baignade pour moi...

The pool and gym were great.

Unfortunately, there was a very bad cigarette smell. We moved rooms three times because the smell was so bad. Only when we moved to a different part of the hotel did the smell subside. It wasn't particularly clean and the staff weren't very accommodating.

We have had a great couple of weeks travelling around Sri Lanka. Our final stop was Colombo (12 March 26) and unfortunately we experienced the rudest hotel staff ever at this hotel. It is certainly the ‘Fawlty Towers’ of Sri Lanka! Clearly this hotel does not train its staff in customer service at all. At checkin we were not acknowledged, the man on the desk did not say hello and we had no idea if he actually planned to check us in. When he ‘finished’ he just walked away and I had to ask him from across the room if he had completed our checkin!?!! Check out was just as bad, no hello or questions, just rudeness. We needed extra bath towels, 4 phones calls over 4 hours and they finally arrived. The saving grace for this hotel was the food in the restaurant and the staff there, both the food and staff were great. Perhaps the staff watch Fawlty Towers videos for customer service training? Thankfully the rest of our experiences in Sri Lanka were nothing like this!

You seriously need to train your staff in customer service and communication, there are no excuses for being so rude.

Die Zimmer waren groß, sauber und gut ausgestattet. Der Pool mit der Rooftop Bar und dem Meerblick war fantastisch. Sehr zentrale Lage in Bahnhofsnähe.

A nice hotel for a couple of nights, in a good area, close to public transport and within walking distance of the city center. It’s nice that there is a balcony, and there’s also a small rooftop pool.

The room is quite small (though this is generally typical for Singapore). If there are two of you, it’s even difficult to open a suitcase.

We loved the roof top pool with views over the sea. The restaurant served delicious food. A good location for exploring the city and getting back to the airport.

Rien à reprocher au niveau de l hôtellerie. La chambre était spacieuse et très bien équipée. Rien ne manquait. Le personnel aimable, poli. La piscine sur le toit est un.plus pour se detendre dans cette ville bruyante et poussiéreuse. Le restaurant en sous sol est bruyant. Serveurs attentionnés. Parfait.

Sur le site , j ai acheté une chambre avec vue sur ville et vue sur mer. A l arrivée, je me retrouve avec une chambre au 2 étage avec vue sur un mur ! Le réceptionniste m informe que l hôtel ne dispose que de 4 chambres de ce type et qu elles sont toutes attribuées. Pourtant, puisque j ai pu acheter en ligne ce type de chambre, j aurais dû l avoir telle que présentée. Un conseil : soyez vigilant à ce que vous payez et ce que vous avez en réalité à l arrivée in situ. Pratique malhonnête à mon avis.

Un hôtel bien équipé avec des chambres joliment décorées. Petite piscine sur le toit terrasse et salle de sport. Très bien placé pour visiter Colombo. Restaurant disponible dans le bâtiment en face de l'hôtel (au sous sol).

Greedy ppl who denied our booked rooms on 23rd jan. We stayed 21st in renuka only because it was close to Adyar Ananda Bhavan. We drove 6 hrs back from Nuwara Rliya and we're shocked to be told that they cancelled our reservation as their AC compressor was malfunctioning. Jokers can't even lie properly. Highly recommend not booking here as you might be told no water or bulb not working. Absolute clowns 🤡

В целом отель хороший, чтобы остановиться на одну или пару ночей в Коломбо. Нас заселили пораньше, но с условием, что мы отменим бронь на букинге, не приятно, но мы пошли на это так как очень устали после перелета. К слову, в других отелях на Шри-Ланке нам делали ранний заезд или поздний выезд, если было необходимо, без каких-либо отмен брони. Номер просторный и чистый. Персонал вежливый. Не далеко, в сторону жд дороги есть кафе Monkeys, мы там завтракали и пили кофе, рекомендую это место. Бассейн с прохладной водой, полотенца для шезлонгов дают, есть небольшой спортзал.

В номере не понравилась вода в термосе неизвестного происхождения, мы не стали ее пить. Питьевой воды в бутылках не было. Нашим друзьям дали номер с двумя кроватями, хотя бронь была на двуспальные кровати. Не понравились лифты, лестницы в отеле, с которыми было не просто сразу разобраться, ходишь как в лабиринте.

Bon séjour dans un établissement propre et le personnel est accueillant. Il y a un restaurant et une piscine sur le toit.
