Very convenient to metro and tsukiji market. Very friendly management. 3rd stay there.
I received such a nice welcome at this hotel. Had a wonderful stay. Also, I love the dog who greets all the guests. That's an extra perk at Ban Hotel. I would like to thank all the staff members for providing such a great service. The location is great too! You can walk to Tsukiji outer market and the subway is a walking distance.g
I have never slept on a WORSE BED in my life. It was rock hard, it was truly like sleeping on the floor. The hotel staff refused to acknowledge this was an issue, trying hard to convince me it was an expensive mattress. Initially they said they didn't have any extra blankets that I could pad the bed with, but eventually they found a couple of extra blankets but honestly it did very little to make the bed better and I woke up with terrible back pain. We were supposed to say 4 nights, but left after the first night, which ended up being an expensive nuisance and a frustrating experience.
The staff were very friendly, the room was clean, and nearby is Tsukiji fish market which has really fresh food.
A quality and budget place to stay in Tokyo. Excellent location just opposite to Tsukijin Fish Market and near Ginza. The room is not small when compared to other budget hotel in Tokyo. It even included tasty sukiyaki breakfast. The staff was helpful and friendly. But I lived on 3/F and i was still able to hear a bit of the traffic outside at night and the curtain of the room was not long enough to block all the sunshine in the morning. Still, I will choose it again when I visit Tokyo next time.
Razoável para uma estadia curta, não longa.
It’s a pet friendly hotel and my room smell really bad
Nice room but most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. It was a pleasant experience though!
Convenient place, lots of restaurants and close to the subway
築地場外市場や地下鉄築地駅が近く移動に大変便利です。
It's a convenient location and the staff are great. Good places to eat near by.

Front desk staff were very friendly! They were able to store my luggage before and after checkout with no problem. It's an older hotel, but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room was pretty spacious as far as Japanese hotels go. Some rooms allow smoking but I didn't smell any smoke in my non-smoking room. Incredibly close to Tsukiji fish market, making it a great breakfast option. The dog at the front desk was very cute!
As was the case with my entire stay in Japan, the staff was more than accommodating to my lack of Japanese. Nice small (as is the case with most Japanese hotels) room. Convenient location, especially considering the amazing Japanese transportation systems.
This hotel is just 5 minutes walk from Tsukiji station and 2 minutes walk from Tsukiji market. Perfect location if you are planning to have breakfast at the fish market. Plenty of options and most of the restaurants and shops open by 8am.
昔ながらの良さを感じました。
I enjoyed the ambiance and the staff was amazing definitely try this hotel again
smaller
Simple and small clean hotel, near tsukiji and toyosu fish markets for easy visiting. Has strong heater to keep warm and everything was clean in the room.
Reception staffs are nice and talkative. Extremely convenient location near Tsukiji station and market. Cute and friendly dog is a bonus!
This hotel is located just 5-10 minutes walk from the Tsukiji Fish Market. It's also a convenient walk from the train station. The hotel is simple and no breakfast provided. However, there are several food choices around the area. The rooms are clean and comes with a bath tub. The entrance of the hotel has some cigarette smell but other than that, its an awesome stay. Will definitely stay here again next time.
The place is better than i expected. The receptionist is kind. Located across tsukiji market ❤️
The place is clean.. the location is good.the staff is the best
Very friendly & helpful staff ... great location ...
Very clean, small but fully equipped and enough room for a large suitcase even.
Good customer service, let us check in early. Walking distance to Tsukiji fish market
The hotel room was very clean and their staff were very friendly. The location is close to Tsukiji and Higashi-Ginza subway stations and the famous Tsukiji Market.
Excellent location and good value. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Nice staff and very clean rooms. Rooms are very small but efficient. The hotel is within walking distance to many attractions. Front desk staff very gracious and helpful. Some speak better English than others. When I left the staff helped me out with my bags and flagged down a taxi. He did not speak English so she translated in Japanese! I got where I needed to be on time!
everything is good. Will come back again . Or recommend to friends
Even though the people at the front desk and their little dog are adorable and sweet, the hotel is pretty rotten. If you don't care for smoke: Our room stunk of smoke, maybe it was coming from above, or maybe from the floor below. In addition, when you enter the hotel, there is a small bar/breakfast area, very handy except that everyone inside smokes non-stop and so the entryway (and dining area/bar) stinks of smoke. Also annoying is the fact that they have music playing in the hallways from 7am until midnight which- I don't know about you- but I do not want to hear for hour after hour in my room. On the plus side is the great location, but there are MUCH NICER hotels in the same great location, so I, for one, will never again make the mistake of stepping foot into this hotel when I go to Tokyo.
A small hotel locate just opposite Tsukiji Market. The hotel is near the train station and staff are very friendly. Although the room furnitures are old but it is neat and clean. Toiletries are provided and ladies get a small amenities bag.
excellent location; service wonderful; good bed.
Tsukiji Market was just across the street from the hotel which is great if you're catching the auction. Staff are friendly and explained to me in simple English about the hotel. It was within (5mins) walking distance to Tsukiji station which is convenient especially when I have to catch the first train to Haneda airport when going back. Housekeeping cleaned the room everyday so the room was neat and tidy throughout my stay. Toilet was elederly friendly. It was a simple and convenient place and at a reasonable price too as accomodations are usually pricely in tokyo.
We booked this hotel for proximity to the Tsukiji Fish Market, not realising that it would be so convenient to subway, convenience stores, coffee shops, post office and restaurants. An added bonus was the beautiful Buddhist temple almost next door which provided a shortcut to the subway.
If you are planning to go for the tuna auction viewing, this hotel is an ideal choice for staying as it is located just opposite with a few steps walking down.
The hotel is close to the fish market and provides good access to the Tokyo Subway network. Furnishings are dated and room small.
This hotel is just across road from the Tsukiji market, so it's convenient if you want to go there very late or early. It's also close to two subway stations. Our room is spacious and inexpensive by the central Tokyo standard, but the room feels dark and furniture look old. We stayed at the 2nd floor and the street noise was pretty obvious in the morning. The service personnel are courteous.
Great Hotel with great staff. Understand English well and was of great assistance getting around Tokyo. Rooms were cleaned and bed is comfortable.
This was the first place I stayed in in Japan. I expected the hotels to be small but this one had enough space for 2 adults with 2 bags without having to climb over them or each other! It’s no hotel that you’d find in UK or Australia but it did the job. Good shower. Lovely staff. Fab location for Tokyo city-walkable to the main station for JR and close to several subway stations. The only bad thing really was the standard of decor - outdated but it was very clean.
We booked a last minute room so we could go see the Tuna auction at the Tsukiji fish market. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, excellent staff, literally across the street from the market and very affordable. Trip worked out perfectly
Efficient, quiet, perfect service. Great deal for the price.
Great location, easy access to the metro. Small room but great place to sleep and enjoy the city
First of all, its location is very convenient for travelers. Especially, if you aim to visit Tsukiji market, it will be excellent choice to stay. It is also near from the bus stop of airport shuttle(to Narita) and subway station. The facilities are quite old, but also clean and well managed. The people, who work there, are very kind and helpful
Very convenient to the market and train stations. We enjoyed our stay.
We looking for cheap hotel for exploring Tsukiji market in the morning this hotel was cheapest and just opposite the market .Everything small lobby ,elevator ,guest room small same as the others in japan but we feel cramped because of the room ceiling is too low , room not clean if you have budget tokyu stay opposite sides is the better choice. However all staff they was very friendly and polite.
near two metro stations, tsukiji and higashi ginza. Can take direct train to haneda airport from higashi ginza. Just directly opposite tsukiji market and next to a temple with dome shaped roof which I thought was a church. Also walking distance to ginza(15-20 mins). Nice location. No safe deposit box in room or free drinks provided. Very basic facilities.
Nice location, efficient and friendly staff. True this.
Second time staying here. Check in time is 2pm, check out time is 10am. Staff were polite. Room was renovated hence better than the room i stayed previously. I stayed here because of the close proximity to the tsukiji fish market. There is also a convenience store just across the road.
We were surprised because the room was bigger than other ordinary hotels in Japan. Comfortable bed & good location to visit Tsukiji fish market. The iron board was useless. It was not hot at all.
Hotel was convenient but room was small with a very small double bed. Asked for no smoking room but it smelt of tobacco. Hotel is on a busy street so quite a lot of traffic noise.
It was perfect location to visit Tsukiji fish market. Nice sushi restaurant was near by. Close from Ginza
Excellent hotel staff who speak good English. Very convenient location right across Tsukiji Market and well connected with main Tokyo attractions. The rooms are a old, but bigger than the average for Tokyo and clean. The whole place needs to be modernised, but the price is good value for money.
We wanted to visit the tuna auction for a long time, but due to the limitation on early morning transportation, we never bothered to get a taxi there. This time we want to try our luck to see if we could get in, hence we booked a hotel super close to the market (2-3 mins walk). We got to the fish market information centre at 12:30am for registration, but the security said we were too early and told us to return at 2:15am. By the time we got back at 2am, there were already 30 people in the line. Anyway, if you get there by 2:30-3am, you should have no problem to get into the auction. Going back to the hotel itself, location is superb if you are there for the tuna auction, you will save the taxi fare to get there for sure. We tried to sleep at 830pm, but the bed was a bit too old and there were some fleas biting me, hence I could not sleep at all especially when you could hear the outside traffic. It was ok for me since I only needed that place for one night to get into the auction but I would not recommend it to people for a longer stay. You need somewhere cleaner or somewhere you can actually sleep comfortably.
Well... What You can you expect with such low price... Hotel is small... Room is small... Bathroom surprisingly not too small... The bedroom seems old but clean and all functioning well... But very near to Tsukiji Market.. And the staff is very nice... He even step outside to stop us a taxi. Even tough he is alone in the reception... And I think it's safe also for family...
Very friendly and helpful front desk. Clean room all amenities including pj's. Complementary drink and breakfast. What more could you want?
We were barely there as we stayed there New Years Eve, and were out partying most of the night. Front desk let us have a later check out (11am instead of 10am) which was very much appreciated. Had an awesome sushi dinner at the fish market that is basically across the street.
An ideal hotel for those who want to get an early start to the fish market, which is literally across the street. I paid $110 on agoda.com. This was our first night in Japan and we stayed here specifically for its proximity to Tsukiji. The room itself is basic, but comfortable. WiFi was strong and fast. Some may complain about small size, but that is normal for Japan. They also provided extra amenities at check-in for female guests. If you need a place to crash near the fish market, this place is a good choice, depending on price.
Good if tsukiji is what you would like to see. 5 min walk for 2:30am line up for auction. Close to subway. Staff speaks very little English. No frills , clean and water is hot. Subway to center of Ginza is easier. Coming from airport. Go to tsukiji station walk though the hongwanji parking lot to hotel. Quicker than walking around.
I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is close to Tsukiji market, good sushi restaurants, next to the metro station and also could walk to Ginza. The hotel is clean and has necessary toiletries for staying.
We stayed at this hotel for 4-night as part of our Japan tour. This hotel is perfect for fish auction and eat fresh sushi at anytime as some restaurants in outer market open 24-hour. It also close to three subway stations so you can use them to visit other Tokyo sites. Hotel is very clean and provide all necessary toiletries for our stay including free laundry service (a big plus). I highly recommend this hotel for visiting the fish market.
The location is good, near to many restaurants. It is also near the hospital. The room is kind of small though but enough if you will only stay for a night. I went there without prior reservation and just asked the staff if there's an available room.
Stayed there 2 nights about a week ago, the hotel room size is a bit bigger than normal business hotel. People staying there most likely are targeting the tuna auction in Tsukiji marker, you need to be there before 3AM!! And this hotel is within walking distance. Hotel staff has detailed instructions for those who wants to see the auction, so we won't get lost in middle of night :) P.S. They do have free laundry for your T-shirts (no pants), which is really good as it was fairly hot in summer time and I always sweat.
From Tsukiji market close also close to the subway and convenience stores regularly organize daily room clean and the rooms are great bed very comfortable counter service is also very good very good English staff
We were so disappointed with this hotel, but it was close to the Tsukiji Fish Auction that we wanted to attend (another disappointment). The mattress was waaay too soft. I believe this building is also a residence as we could smell curry cooking. There is a bar in the small lobby, but we did not see any patrons during our stay. We woke up at 2:00 am to get to the auction by 3:00 am. I don't know if it had anything to do with it being a Saturday, but all the 160 slots were filled by 3:00 am. We also had difficulty finding the area to check in for the fish auction. We stayed at the Toyoko Inns for all the rest of our stops and we were happy with that business hotel chain.
We stayed here so we could easily walk over to wait for the tuna auction at 2:30 in the morning (it's right across from the market) but it's a great little hotel - the room (we had a twin) was surprisingly spacious for Tokyo - there was even room for a little couch, and space to open more than one suitcase at a time - the staff were friendly and spoke English, it was a five minute walk to the closest metro station, and there are tons shops and eating options in the immediate vicinity. Breakfast wasn't included, but you're better off having a sushi breakfast in the market. Definitely good value for the price. The wifi was really strong and fast.
Reasonable pricing and very closed to fish market
I used this hotel to business. I think It's comfortable to stay if you need at least. You can choose the kind of breakfasts in hotel or outside. If you will choose outside you can eat some fresh raw fish.
Enjoyed every minute of it! Nice small hotel. Don't plan to have a party in your room, thou :)
Stayed here for a night post-cruise, and it served its purpose, with beds and bathroom. The fellow at the front desk spoke almost no English, but we were able to check in without any problems. Small elevator but it held us and our luggage, so we were happy. Very short doorways into the rooms, so both of us had to duck. Bathroom was nice. Beds (we got a room with 2 single beds) were minimal and fairly hard with a very thin pillow. No view from the window. Thin walls. Short walk to the Ginza District, and across the street at the corner is a nice restaurant in which we had breakfast the next morning (the hotel DID offer a breakfast but our companions wanted to go out). Good location and a good price.
Great, great, great!!!
perfect. Helpful staff, 5 mins from tuna auction or 10 mins from ginza & the hotel was PERFECTLY cleaned everyday. Highly recommend it.
the best.
It's hard to rate this hotel. It served a purpose, a place to spend the night, sleep and shower. The bed was OK, but a bit low. I slept well. The walls were thin, heard the woman next door talking and screaming. The door was low and I am not tall. I had to bend down to see myself in the mirror. The front desk person spoke almost no English. But, the place is clean, the water pressure was wonderful and it was inexpensive. It was a 10 minute walk to the heart of the Ginza District, easy access to the metro and restaurants everywhere. If you don't mind small and not fancy, it's good.
This hotel is in walking distance of the Tsukiji fish market, and there are tons of street vendors around. The hotel room provides body wash, shampoo and conditioner, toothbrush and toothpaste, and a razor.
At check in, desk clerk didn't speak much English, but understood more. For a business hotel, there were no computers to use or printers for flight on-line check in or boarding pass printing. Very, very small room for two, even the entrance door to the room was low for average Western tourist. Room was very clean and had a tub with great water pressure. Hotel also had fast WiFi. Overall not a bad place for the money compared to cost of hotels in Tokyo. Okay for one night.
We arrived in the evening, went out for dinner, slept, showered and left early. This hotel was good for that, nothing more. The bed was comfy, but short for tall people. The door is short, I had to bend down to shave, as the mirror was low. The room was small, but OK for a quick stay. Walls are thin, heard woman screaming next door. It is at best a two star hotel. They speak almost no English. The pic of the included breakfast was not appealing, so I skipped it. It is a 10 minute walk to the heart of the Ginza District, so a good location.
Hotel is very near tsukiji market, a hotel to consider if you want to queue for sushi or watch tuna auctions at 3am. Nothing to rave or complain about. Spotted some tears in the blanket but it was not important to me.
The location of this hotel is excellent for touring the Tsukiji Fish Market and for queuing for the tuna auction. It is only a 5 minutes walk away from the the market, and from the nearest subway station. For a hotel in Tokyo that is this close to Ginza and shopping, the rooms were decently sized and clean, although it was clear that the hotel is showing its age. The toilets look to have been recently renovated and were extremely clean and pleasant. Generally, would recommend this hotel as a budget option.
Stayed here for 3 nights last week and it was a bit of a struggle. I know that "business" hotels in Tokyo have smaller rooms but this was too small for a couple with luggage etc. The bed was saggy and uncomfortable and way the room is laid out / furnished is dated and cramped. Check out is 10am which is ok for business travellers but too early for tourists. The positives are friendly staff, half decent breakfast (albeit sitting at the tiny bar in the tiny lobby) and they do store your bags if you have a late flight.
Originally picked this hotel as it was incredibly close to the fish market and we wanted to see the tuna auction, but apparently the market is closed to the public in the winter. The hotel is incredibly close to the fish market, but is also a short 5 minute walk from the subway station. The lobby is small but staff are friendly and helpful. There are also complimentary drinks (alcohol option included) served upon our arrival. The room itself, is not too compact, but headroom through doorways is not too ideal. My 6 foot tall friend had to duck walking through doorways. It is clear that the hotel is a little old, but still it was very clean and well maintained. The room also seems to lack a bit of heating. It wasn't warm (but acceptable) in the room when it was a round 5 degrees celsius outside. Free wifi was available, but a little slow. Will definitely recommend this hotel for those who want to stay close to the fish market.
Just across the street from the famous Tsukiji fish market. Literally just across the road. Really accessible from Tsukiji train station exit 1. Relatively easy to find and great location. Room is comfy and nicely sized. Comes will all amenities that you'll need from a hotel and includes free WiFi in the room which makes internet accessible from the comfort of your room. Great neighbourhood to be in. Although the room facing the main road can get abit noisy.
Good location for the fish market and akihabara shopping.
The hotel is really near to tsukiji fish market which one of most visit place in tokyo. I had a lovely stay, though the place is quite small. Their staff is super nice. They gave me a free welcome drink at the bar and free amenities for ladies. They let me keep my bagage till night time even after i already check out from the hotel. They also have a weight scale which i use to measure my bagage. I'll definitely stay here again if i get a chance to visit tokyo again.
The Hotel is the Business Market District...If you love fish; sushi, sashimi. Check In in this Hotel or the nearby Hotels.Similar to other Business Hotels, it is small, but all your needs are present and met. Very Clean walking distance, like its just across the street to the fish market where you can eat the freshest, mouthwatering sushi, soup etc. The Staff, especially Toshi(Front Desk) was very helpful. Thank you, guys. Love to Check-In again...
Alright place, served its purpose as a base for the surrounding area. Standard japanese size room
The hotel room furnishing is a little old but otherwise it was a good place to stay. Within walking distance to the Tsukiji fish market if you want to catch the fish auction. Service was good. I went shopping and left my bags at the reception. The bags were already in my hotel room by the time I got back from shopping. Staff were also friendly and helpful. Can speak a little English.
Room was bigger than normal for a business hotel. The staff was so helpful and friendly, lots better than a five star at Shinagawa. Hotel is right across from the Tsukiji Market and walking distance to the new Kabukiza and the department stores in Ginza. I would recommend to anyone visiting Tsukiji.
Good price , very clean ,to small , nice stuff, good pressure water. Thank you!
Good hotel....However the employees make it a great place to stay....the "outside" breakfast is very good...would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone going to the area
Great location if you intend to visit Tsukiji fish market.
