Location and secure parking for my vehicle

It was not clean! Black mould in the bathroom, on the windowsills, on the curtains and windows themselves and the toilet brush on display in the bathroom was black with mould! The shower was dirty and mould came off quite easily so clearly it had not had the most basic of cleans for quite some time. Staff on check in weren’t overly friendly, abrupt even however the checkout staff in the morning were more pleasant.

There was a funny smell in the hallway of our floor.

I was charged at security bond not once but twice which hasn’t been refunded yet and the room was $20 more than advertised on Booking.com, not very excited about the experience at this point in time.

The staff have been incredibly helpful and very friendly. Great view, good location, a short walk up the hill to K'rd where there are a lot of food options, plenty across the street and more down the hill too. We needed somewhere close to Starship hospital and this is. Beds comfy enough. I just personally like a very firm bed. Good aircon.

Unfortunately our room had a few things that wasn't working well, however if I let reception know earlier, I'm sure they would have been happy to move me. The microwave didn't heat very well, the microwave plate didn't turn and was the wrong size. The toaster only cooked one side of your toast, the dishwasher says error and doesn't work, and the stove top wasn't wired into anything, therefore not working. Once they knew things weren't working they tried to rectify this situation, by offering me another room and apologizing.

Good location and reasonable price

Loud fridge and air conditioning in the room that could not be turned off. Therefore, there was a constant noise of n the room which isn’t great for sleeping.

Very very Dirty Downstairs carpark had so much rubbish and even rats running around!

Everything was perfect! The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!

The staffs are so kind. Even I was not native people in Zew Zealand, they listened to me politely. Also, the room was large enough for me. I once stayed at the hotel in Japan and the room was smaller than this one although the price is almost same.

Could of provided more pillows

It had everything I needed. TV was easy to use. It was pretty central, but up a hill. I was walking so a few minutes closer to central shopping would have been good. Not easy to change location though! Id probably stay here again if I ever had to travel alone.

It was hard to use the toilet. I had to sit sideways. I think a pedestal basin would have worked way better and given more space near the toilet. I wish there was a sink in the living area but only having one in the bathroom is to be expected for a less high end room.

Overall the cleanliness of this room was far below reasonable or acceptable. Almost every flat surface in the room was caked in dust, from the headboard on the bed, lamps, power points by far worst offender for dust was the top of the cupboards which looked like they had not been cleaned in months the dust was that thick. The air-conditioning vent was also caked in dust and was falling out of the wall. There was also mould on the curtains and around the window frame. The breakfast of the following morning was very mid and lack Luster certainly not worth the money paid for it. The bed was not a queen sized bed as advertised but rather two single beds that had been pushed together, as a result they kept sliding apart through the night making for a very restless and unsettled sleep. The only positive thing to come out of this day was the fact that I received a 50% refund as a result of the overall cleanliness or lack of of the room. 0 out of 10 would not stay again.

The location

It would be good to have a couch instead of two chairs in the room so you can relax more. It would also be good to have a place where you can get a coffee.

Clean and location

The lock on bathroom door was broken, the phone did not work. Wanted to order room service and then went to reception to find out the restaurant was not open. Pillow was very very soft and uncomfortable.

Everyone in the staff was willing to help me. Although I did not go to Auckland to watch TV, the available range of television productions was better than I expected. The lobby-and-restaurant is classy and I regret not trying the breakfast that was available for a small extra fee. (I had things to do.)

The shower was a little grimy. The room was clean and the bathroom was clean, but the shower was a little grimy. (Not too grimy, I was still content to use it.) Also, I was supplied with instant coffee and chocolate, etc ... but I was also supplied with plunger coffee but there was no coffee plunger to use them with. (Which I found quite amusing.)

No lock on door specially toilet

The room was tidy and comfortable, with everything I needed for a short stay. The staff were polite and helpful, and check‑in was quick and easy. The location on Queen Street was perfect close to cafés and walking distance to the interview venue.

The room could use better soundproofing some street noise at night.

The facility is old and to be honest the cleanliness was lacking - the bathroom tap/sink, shower, cupboards etc weren't very clean, not what I would expect from a hotel. Window reveals had visible mould spots. Bed was comfy but the light from the hallway was very bright underneath the door. Breakfast was average.

Not really an issue but the drive way and parking are terrible the hill , how narrow it is and also the key tag to get in , but clothes then that the stay was amazing thabk you (am I able to add photos later )

Bed was fairly comfortable and it had everything we needed

It was very damp when we woke up, condensation all over the windows and mirror, mould forming along the top of the windows. No extractor fan in the shower and small amounts of mould creeping in in there too. Receptionist in the evening seemed like he would prefer to be anywhere but there, and we had trouble finding someone at all when we went to check out in the morning

Room was so smelly, bed sheet and matress condion was worst.

The pressure of the shower -Fabulous The bed was really comfortable/firm had the best sleep. The space was just right for my partner and I Nice and Clean Buffet breakfast was exceptional and hot 👌🏽 The price was really great for 2 night stay

Was a bit rough around the edges- carpet the air conditioner was making a rattle - which I had to turn off as it was too noisey
