Room was clean ,big and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was hot and plenty.

Close to the main roads for convenience, but tucked away so no road noise.

The staff in the main were very helpful and pleasant and it had an Ev charger (when WiFi worked and someone wasn’t using it)

The WiFi kept cutting out, I had to set up Ev charging 5 times each time loading 60 on my card, luckily I had that spare ! Could work send emails use television for long stretches

It was a real bonus to find that after a long drive, we did not have to venturev out to find an evening meal. We really lioved the evening meal in the Bistro, so fresh and delicious . The buffet breakfast too was freshly prepared and tasty. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable

There was nothing we didn't like about the hotel, but the bath with shower above and shower curtain combination could benefit from updating.

Good location for an overnight stop on a long south-north journey. Simple rooms, but clean and comfortable. Food in restaurant was quite adequate and service pleasant. Secure car park is a plus.

Most things. No air-conditioning. Dated facilities. Breakfast only available from 8.30-9.30am. Very loud music until after midnight. No bar area available to get a drink.

Hotel doors didn't have a thumb turn lock, which is illegal for hotels. You can't have a mortice lock in case of fire; if you can't find the key, you won't be able to get out. Breakfast was 8.30 to 9.30, we didn't have breakfast, it was too late for a hotel serving breakfast. Place look svery tired it was too much money for the quality.

We were welcomed on arrival by a really nice chap, I’m sorry I don’t have his name. He explained that no food was being served at the hotel but there was a Mediterranean restaurant a 15 minute walk away. He booked us a table there and it was very good. We were in room 10 and loved the view over the fields. The trees just outside the window had long tailed tits hopping around in them. Our room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The water pressure was really strong so we had a lovely shower. We filled up our tank at the Asda superstore, about a 10 minute drive away, very convenient.

There was a bit of road noise because we kept our window open, but it didn’t really disturb our sleep.

Food wasn't hot,not enough food for intolerant allergies. Rooms were very tiered and need up dated.

Location was good, breakfast was fresh and plentiful, staff nice and friendly.

The bed was very uncomfortable it dipped in the middle, not a good sleep due to the bed.

The setting is lovely - surrounded by countryside.

We felt that the breakfast was overcooked and lacked any fresh fruit.

wifi, the room I was in on this stay, the wifi kept dropping out every 10 mins, which was a problem for working purposes, I have stayed in other rooms before and the wifi stays connected better

Had dit hotel gekozen vanwege de ligging en de goede reviews over het personeel. Daar was geen woord over gelogen. Zeer gastvrij personeel dat de tijd neemt om een praatje te maken; dat doet niet alleen de manager: al het personeel is uiterst vriendelijk. Ondanks dat het vlak aan een doorgaande weg ligt, hoor je hier helemaal niets van. Heerlijk in stilte geslapen.

Volgens mij zou er een raam open moeten kunnen, maar dit was afgesloten. Daar had ik een sleuteltje voor moeten hebben. Maar de kamer was ruim genoeg zodat het niet heel erg stoorde.

I stayed one night at the hotel with my son due to an event nearby. The property has a secure gated car park, with spacious rooms that are clean and tidy. The staff are very helpful and friendly and they have the best selection of gins I’ve ever seen at a bar! Nice breakfast and would definitely stay again.

If I had to think of one thing I would change it would be the chairs in the restaurant as they made it feel a bit like a cafe.

We had our Christmas party here, and it was a great night. Parking secure, room was comfortable, a hearty breakfast and lovely friendly staff.

The rooms are a little tired and would benefit from a refresh.

It is situated on a busy road and the signage isn’t over clear when you are trying to find it especially in the dark. Could have done with more of a lounge/bar area even when they have a function on .

Clean room, but my stay was let down by the attitude at reception. I asked earlier how to get back in through the electric gate and was told simply to press the button, yet when I returned just after 11pm I was spoken to like a naughty teenager for being ‘that late’. Guests should be given clear access instructions and not feel they need permission to come and go. Heating needed frequent adjustment and breakfast was entirely self‑service. Because of the attitude, I wouldn’t stay again.

THE BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT ALSO THE EVENING MEAL. ALL WELL PRESENTED AND ENJOYED.

I realised I had forgotten toothpaste and unfortunately the hotel did not have this on site to purchase, despite it saying in the guest book in the room they had toiletries to purchase, meaning I had to go off site to buy this.

I had an issue with a noise in my room which could not be explained, but I was moved to another room immediately.

The staff and kitchen were fantastic. We arrived late and they still served us.

The room smelled of cleaning materials. But we booked very last minute as we were travelling through to our destination. So we probably didn't receive their best room.

Good simple overnight (or conference) hotel. Big bedroom and bathroom. Quiet (no conference or event on when we stayed). Helpful friendly staff. Road outside extremely busy, but good double glazing so not a problem.

Bistro closed Thursday-Sunday but we used Deliveroo.

On paper it looked perfect for my needs. Initially I was given a room downstairs with a view of a hedge, as my stay was foe three nights I enquired about an upstairs room that would have a view from the window. The man at the desk kindly did some shuffling around of people and made that happen, much appreciated. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room had everything I needed but was rather worn. Whilst the location was perfect proximity for my work needs the proximity to the A5 made sleep a challenge. Being summer there was no choice other than to have the window open so had the thundering A5 traffic until around midnight and then when they all got going again around daybreak. I didn't rate the food, the fish (it said cod on the menu, £19.95!) was over cooked as were the chips. As a result I ate elsewhere inc. breakfast even though I'd paid for it already.

We spent quite a lot of the evening in our room but only one chair so I had to sit on the bed for a long time. A second chair would have been welcome

The evening meal was very good in the Bar with very polite staff. Breakfast was a buffet and only just lukewarm. The Showerhead in my room was scaled up and not clean. ( Photo taken) And I barely slept due to how noisy the place was due to constant banging doors and what sounded like a dance class above me until late.😳 Not a good experience, and there wasn't anyone on reception when I left to complain to !!

Great clean rooms. Initial journey to the area did not hold out much hope but this hotel is a gem amongst some dodgy truck stops. Good food and staff, wifi poor and it was supposed to be a new system.
