Lovely hotel & in a great location near Cannock Chase & close to family we were visiting.

The rooms don’t have air conditioning, a fridge or a safe which isn’t really a problem but would be nice

Disappointed with breakfast on second day. Room was tired sink was leaking. Toilet flush was difficult. Loose electric socket by bed. Room needs a general refresh.

Very quiet despite hosting weddings on each of our three night stay. Large room. Excellent breakfast included in price. Lots of parking. Plenty of staff. Semi rural location yet easily accessible to Birmingham.

It doesn’t have a garden.

Staff were not overly helpful or friendly. Breakfast options limited, staff did not explain what was where and what was included. On a Saturday apparently it depends what chef is in to get eggs cooked any other way other than scrambled.

Unfortunately there was a large wedding on the night we were there and there was no car parking space, there was a lot of noise in the corridors when the Reception was over and noise as cars were leaving. May be worth checking on booking for any large celebrations on going if you are looking g for a quiet stay.

It was clean and comfortable and we were made to feel very welcome - all staff being very friendly and efficient.

The dinner felt overpriced for standard pub fare.

The room was massive compared to what I was expecting, the bed was fantastic size ,didn't need our travel cot.breakfast was lovely and staff so friendly.

Evening meal. We ordered garlic chicken kebab. The chicken was dry and the sauted potatoes were greasy. I had the barns burger with chips and salad. The chips were lovely but the burger was dry and tasteless. Very disappointed. The highlight was the jam sponge and custard. Breakfast options were good. Choices of cereal and fruit. With yoghurts and pastries. The hot full English was so disappointing. The bacon wasnt cooked and although the sausage was it wasnt coloured, the hash brown had been fried and was dripping in fat,,,inedible. Unfortunately we have stays several times but not again.

Location was good with a decent size room.

The room had a fan but i could not use as it was full of dust. due to the weather i had the window open and there was lots of noise from the kitchen opposite - music, staff. I ordered poached eggs on toast for breakfast, the bread was hardly warm and not toasted, poached eggs were not drained adequately and i had to soak up the water on the plate with the serviette, they were also hard.

In a great location for our visit to Chase Forest. Clean and comfortable room. Good helpful staff. Nice outside seating area.

Breakfast was good and plentiful, but would have liked option for fried egg rather than the standard offering of scrambled eggs.

As I'm not a lover of a cooked breakfast , there wasn't much choice of an alternative . coffee wasn't very nice . fan in bathroom was very noisy .

Beautiful property with fantastic food. I made a last minute request to adjust to a twin room and it was no issue. Really comfortable and quiet room. Would highly recommend.

I used this hotel when playing golf nearby so the location was perfect for me, the food in the bar was excellent and the staff are very friendly.

Poor facilities in bathroom, no makeup mirror, no tissues, no face flannel. Perhaps better soap/ shampoo availability.

i did not enjoy the breakfast as we had no option on the brekkie full English, i felt the scrambled eggs were just over runny and none of our party really ate them, Also we were with the wedding party but i booked through booking.com, told them when we arrived that we were with the wedding but they still charged us the full price for the room when the rest of the party had discount, i understand they booked direct with yourselves but we were invited at a later date and no rooms were coming on your site so did it through booking.com but thought they would have honored the discount with us, Oh well live and learn,

Problems with the water supply

Checkin 2pm onwards which is nice and early. Room very clean and comfortable. Staff went out of their way to accommodate our vegan requirements and we're friendly and approachable. Value for money and very good breakfast.

We couldn't find any negatives

The evening meal was lovely. Staff are all really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was individually cooked and was lovely. Bed was very comfortable. Free parking.

The room needs a good clean,thick dust in the skirting boards..cleaning staff think it’s ok to slam doors and talk loudly very early in the morning.

Great staff lovely food . And the hotel is spotless . Comfy beds and just a really pleasant place to stay can’t wait to go back . Second stay hopefully not long till our third .

Lovely big room with extra large king size bed, function room was a perfect size for a small party.

No bar in our function room so had to keep going downstairs to use the bar in the larger room. There was a wedding on there so the bar was very busy with quite a long wait.

The hotel was clean and tidy, rooms warm with wonderful decor and good tea making facilities. Excellent shower and toilet area, the hotel has an amazing restaurant serving meals which are wonderful and all the staff are friendly giving great service. Local shops are with in a short walk but the hotel is a short drive away from our friends house so ideal for us when visiting them.

Wi-Fi could have been a bit better but it didn’t spoil our stay.

The shower is great, but needs a shelf for toiletries. This had been pointed out by a guest in a previous review. The toiletries provided were disappointing, & dispensers would be much more environmentally friendly. As would bin divided into components for recycling.
