Reviewed Sep 12, 2026I was very happy with cleanliness . The room was very spacious. The gentleman at the reception was very nice. I would stay again.
My only issue was the bathroom in our room. The shower would make a loud noise every time the water was turned on. The towels were very thin and small, I would recommend changing out the towels, and the bathroom door would not close it needs some repair.

Reviewed Sep 1, 2026Value! Seriously, of the four hotels we stayed at on this trip, it was both the cheapest and the nicest. I don't want to overstate that though... that's mainly due to the others being overpriced. This is very good for a basic motel, but it is still a basic motel so keep your expectations appropriate. It was clean and quiet and everything worked.
There was nothing in particular not to like. While it is unlikely I'll ever be in Cochrane Alberta again, if I am, I would stay here again without hesitation.

The carpet really needs cleaning or changing. Baseboards should be attached properly and a heavy duvet in the heat of August was not welcome.

The room and motel needs more attention to detail when it comes to cleaning. Behind the bed was very dirty, seems like it’s never been vacuumed. Corners of the room were dirty, walls were very dirty. Outside, lots of weeds and garbage. It wouldn’t take much to clean it up. Cigarette butts in front of most of the rooms, McDonalds coffee cup outside my room, and looks like it’s been there for a long time.

The room had 2 separate bedrooms with queen beds. They were very comfy. The kitchen area was well stocked and it was great to have a dining table as well as sofa. Was very clean.
The shower was a little noisy but didnt interfere with the stay

Reviewed Jul 6, 2026Cleaning staff came in each day to change towels and make bed. Nice location across from Mitford Park. It was quiet. Was the cheaper of all accommodations available in the area which I suppose, is why you can't expect too much.
Beds are uncomfortable and pillows are flat. Was a little grossed out to find a nail clipping on the bathroom floor.

The door wasn't secure. Bolted yes... but when we checked the door it was opening enough to not be secure. From the inside the door frame was lifting off the wall. We wanted a refund as we didn't feel safe. The guy said yes at first. We had an appointment s we said we'd be back in an hour. After half an hour they called us saying we had to come back if we wanted a refund. After repeat calls and us saying we were mid appointment, and them complaining that out car was parked outside of the room we paid for, they said fine. We got there and got the refund. Went a cross the parking lot to days inn for a far better experience.

The location was easy to get to, and there is a playing field, and pond behind the Inn so it was very quiet. I recommend the Bow Valley Inn. Good value!
