L’hôtel est bien décoré, les chambres sont grandes et toutes face a la mer. Personnel très gentil.

Il y avait une mauvaise odeur dans la chambre qui nous a gêné toute la nuit. La plage en face de l’hôtel est en travaux en ce moment et l’hôtel est plutôt assez loin du centre avec des taxis/ Uber très cher (plus cher qu’en France)

room was big and good , pool area was ok but beds were taken too often, breakfast was ok but could be improved with variety and the egg station was in a differnt area outside which was akward , the buffet area could be larger

the gym was dated with as in the weights machines were not modern and not enough of them to do a decent work out ,didnt have a seperate bar with a cool vibe, also didnt notice a differnt restaurant maybe they did have

Great location. Beautiful hotel. Beach pretty much off limits due to construction. Staff not the most helpful. Had issues checking in even though I had pre called the hotel, IHG customer service and even written to advise of check in instructions.

Fantastic all around! From the breakfast, the service, to the incredible upgraded room. The pool was amazing! The one icky thing was when we wanted to bring our couple friends up to hang out with us, we were told they weren’t allowed in our room whatsoever, and if we wanted them to hang at the pool we needed to pay 100 dollars. Didn’t make any sense. Otherwise my honeymoon with my wife was PERFECT.

Everything has been great and everyone has been super nice from pre lobby staff up. The suite is amazing with a great view and is always clean and very spacious. I would get it again if we come back. I booked through an online agency and I feel like the value-to-quality ratio is completely worth it. This hotel is located in Bocagrande, which is away from the center in a good way, since it feels like a different region altogether. We ubered for most of the trip to city center and nearby places and never had an issue, although expect traffic around 8am and 4pm if you have a timed activity, nothing major though. The breakfast is buffet style and worth it if you compare it to similar restaurants nearby. Very happy overall and would definitely recommend to family and friends and would love to come back!

The hotel is beautiful. There is construction keeping direct access to the beach limited. It is scheduled to be completed in six months Front desk, maid and security are great. The restaurant has issues but I am willing to put the blame on me since I don’t Speak Spanish. Miscommunication seems to be a big issue there. Overall, I loved the hotel.

"ir la milla extra" ... pagué por una buena habitación... si bien únicamente me quedé por dos noches, era porque tomé un crucero desde la ciudad... al regreso del crucero (por la mañana), mi vuelo salía ese mismo día pero por la tgarde, no tenía donde dejar maletas para seguir conociendo la ciudad, pregunté si me dejaban dejarlas en el hotel ya que había sido su huesped, la respuesta fue "no, porque no se quedará con nosotros cuando regrese" ... si hubiera dejado maletas luego de mi checkout por unas horas, no hubiera habido problema, y no importaba si fuera gratis o no, entiendo que el core business no es rentar espacios para maletas, pero lo vi como el mismo servicio unos días después... no era un año después, era porque prácticamente aún estaba en la ciiudad.... se que es un evento con bajas probabilidades de repetirse, pero lo dejo por si se puede extrapolar a otras ocasiones, el servicio sería más completo y aún pudiera cobrar un fee si gustan... el espacio lo tenían, no generaba un gasto.... este tipo de cosas terminan de dejar la experiencia como excelente o como simplemente satisfactoria.

We had an amazing time at this beautiful hotel. Our room was gorgeous with incredible views of the ocean. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful- especially Andres and Isaias who went the extra mile several times to accommodate our unique needs as a family with a toddler. Isaias set us up with an incredible boat ride to the private beach on an island and Andres made everything run smoothly with check in and check out. The hotel is gorgeous and the pool is incredible. We are already trying to figure out how we can come back again!

The hotel is a beautiful property, centrally located to all the great sites. Everyone is so warm and welcoming. We had a wonderful experience visiting Columbia and this property for the first time.

The InterContinental Cartagena is a beautiful hotel and makes for a really nice getaway. The rooms have a very luxury feel—clean, comfortable, and well designed. The service was great, and everyone I interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made the stay even better. The location is one of the best parts. The area is beautiful, and the beach is literally right across the street. Just look both ways, cross over, and boom—you’re at the beach. I also thought the value was good, though I’d say it is definitely American-priced, so don’t expect it to be especially cheap compared to other places in Cartagena. Still, for what you get, it felt worth it. One thing I really appreciated was how quiet and peaceful it felt. There was hardly any noise, which gave the hotel a more secluded and relaxing atmosphere—perfect if you want to unwind and disconnect. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the hallway had a damp smell, almost like the carpet had been cleaned but didn’t fully dry. It reminded me of clothes left in the washer too long. Overall, I had a very enjoyable stay and would still recommend it, especially if you want comfort, great service, and easy beach access.

I was extremely disappointed with how InterContinental Cartagena handled my stay. I was informed at check-in that my reservation included a $100 hotel credit, so I spent money at the hotel expecting it to be honored. At checkout, I was told the credit would not be applied due to a reservation system issue that management refused to resolve. Rather than making things right, management showed very poor hospitality and hid behind a reservation technicality instead of putting the guest first. A luxury hotel should stand behind the benefits it advertises, not look for reasons to deny them. This experience left a lasting negative impression, and I cannot recommend this hotel based on how this was handled.

The staff is outstanding. Facilities in top share. True Intercontinental experience. Andrés at reception, top notch. Breakfast yummy, what else can I say?

The room was very clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. I loved the bathroom, and the service was excellent. All of the staff were very friendly, and the food was delicious. The location is perfect, close to all the main attractions. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Spectacular job. The staff is exceptional. The suite with a truly sweet view. This hotel is fun, social, clean and well organized. The pool facility and bar/wait staff are sociable and know how to make it fun!

Maravillosa hotel

Bravo à Envengelina, au service au restaurant. Elle est souriante, chaleureuse et elle est soucieuse de nos besoins. Le personnel est très aimable et ils semblent aimer leur travail. Le restaurant et le coin piscine est agréable.

La musique beaucoup trop forte, ce qui m’a fait fuir l’espace piscine. Aussi, les vitres sont si sale que même si l’hôtel est face a la mer, on la perçoit peu. Enfin, aucune terrasse ou espace tranquille pour simplement regarder la mer, ni pour manger, ni simplement boire un café. Et il y a un gros problème avec l’utilisation des espaces à la plage. C’est un espace public mais qui n’est pas régit, ni sécurisé, par la ville ou les hôtels. Ce qui fait en sorte qu’il y a des groupes criminalisés qui font les lois. Il y a abus auprès des touristes et fraudes afin de ne pas dévoiler les prix et rehausser ceux-ci. Les vendeurs itinérants sont incessants et on ne peut se reposer plus de 2 minutes sans interruptions. Alors pour cette principale raison, j’y retournerai plus jamais.

We visited Cartagena stayed at intercontinental Cartagena de indias. For my wife’s birthday. We couldn’t be happier with our accommodation from the from front desk to the concierge personnel. Special thanks to to our server Ledy on the club floor that attended us during our meals. Very attentive and kind. 10/10 thanks again ,will be returning.

Que hay veces donde los eventos corporativos ocupan espacio para el desayuno y eso hace que si no ocupas un asiento tengas que buscar alrededor, suele demorar más la atención pero luego todo bien. Igual en la piscina tal vez incluir más espacios porque si faltaban en las mañanas, se llenaba mucho.

I stayed at the InterContinental Cartagena in February and had an excellent experience. The hotel’s location on Carrera 1, right in front of the ocean, is fantastic and only about 10–15 minutes from Cartagena’s historic walled city, making it ideal for both business and leisure travel. The property is beautiful, with exceptional design and stunning spaces throughout the hotel. Everything feels elegant, modern, and very well maintained. The food and beverage experience was another highlight. The hotel does a great job showcasing Cartagena’s local flavors while blending them with the international standard you expect from an InterContinental property. What truly stands out is the service. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. The concierge team was attentive and helpful, and the food & beverage team provided excellent service throughout the stay. Even though I was traveling for work, the hotel made the experience feel relaxing and enjoyable. I felt very comfortable, well cared for, and genuinely welcomed. I highly recommend InterContinental Cartagena and would gladly return.

It was my fourth time at the Intercontinental Hotel Cartagena , and as always, it was an exceptional stay. First of all, I would like to thank all the staff across the different departments who made me feel at home. The best hotel in town

The doormen and waitstaff were great. They were friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was atrocious during my 8 day stay they cleaned the room twice. One of those times I specifically had to ask for it the other time they charged me extra to have it done. The front desk staff were not helpful and lied to me during the entire stay. I would not go back to this property again.

Excellent service , particularly in the club level access. Khadija and Yazmin did an exceptional job : friendly , professional, very attentive. The club level has exceptional views , great Cofee and teas and happy hour is very well catered.

Friendly service excellent venue and excellent quality food I’ve been to about 20 restaurants in the area. Evangelina was a great host.
