Central location, clean and the breakfast was lovely

This was my second stay at the Kingston Theatre Hotel whilst appearing at the theatre in Hull, and once again it was absolutely wonderful. It really is such a lovely, friendly hotel with a warm, family-run feel. My room was beautiful, the food was amazing, and every member of staff was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. There’s such a lovely atmosphere throughout the hotel and you really feel looked after from the moment you arrive. Whenever I’m in Hull, this will always be my first choice of hotel. Lovely, friendly and absolutely fabulous — I can’t recommend it highly enough!

The room was very nice and clean and well appointed. The shower was the best ever and I appreciated the rubber mat to stop me slipping. The restaurant looked very new and recently decorated and there was an excellent choice of hot and cold food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The area felt very safe and there was a beautiful Catholic Church nearby that has an amazing choir on Sunday and would be worth a visit on any day.

We liked it all. I can't think of anything negative to say, maybe that's it's a bit of a walk from the main attractions but that was good after a nice meal.

Really nice property in the middle of the city. Only stayed one night but it was a very comfortable stay. Victorian style room, very clean with a big bathroom. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The free parking was also a plus for us. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Spacious suite, good breakfast, location fabulous, reception staff absolutely lovely.

From moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble for the staff - everyone was so welcoming, courteous and helpful. The room was very well appointed and well serviced daily. The quality of the breakfasts was exceptional - we ordered from the menu, which had a wide choice, and the food arrived quickly. The qualty was excellent. I had eggs Benedict twice and the eggs were cooked to perfection - chef really kows what he's doing. The service was of a very high standard and, again, nothing was too much trouble.

The hotel was exceptionally clean, staff were very helpful, the breakfast was excellent, great choice and vegetarian option too. The location was a short walk to the old town and the marina.

The shower needs replacing although was adequate for the time spent.

Quiet homely feel. Free parking permit, and parking available close by. Super clean. Lovely staff and an excellent breakfast. Check out was up to 11am which suited us.

Mooi klassiek hotel met vriendelijk personeel en we kregen een grote kamer, sanitair deed ons aan de jaren '80 terugdenken, maar het was wel netjes en in orde.

Ontbijt was ok, Engels ontbijt, maar wat meer fruit en wat kaas zou ook welkom zijn.

What a welcoming hotel this is, theres a kind of homely feeling to this hotel, thick carpets, lovely curtains, wallpaper in the bedrooms, immaculate, and very friendly staff, the young man on reception was a delight to talk to.

There was nothing I didn't like about the hotel.

The Property Was Beautiful And Clean We Were Offered An Upgrade To A Bigger Room With Tea Coffee Making Facilities And Complimentary Water But The Room Was In An Annexe That Was Up A Steep Flight Of Stairs My Wife Is Disabled So Very Difficult For Her To Climb Stairs The Food Was Excellent And The Service Was Superb I’m Not Sure What Type Of Room I Originally Booked And The Cost Unfortunately We Missed Breakfast Because We Had. an Appointment

The location was perfect. A short walk into town. The room was large and airy, very clean. The breakfast selection was great. The staff were ver obliging and attentive I will certainly recommend to friends and family.

The bathroom was very small.

The hotel is set in quiet, attractive square in the central city with free street parking adjacent to the hotel. Attractive, relatively new, 'period' decor throughout. Friendly helpful staff. Traditional English breakfast in the attractive breakfast/dining room (white tablecloths etc). Very good value for money - would definitely return.

Fabulous hotel and location!

De upgrade naar een prachtige luxe Victoriaanse suite met zicht op het park😁. In deze suite was er aan alles gedacht. Lekker a la carte ontbijt met veel keuzes. Vriendelijke personeel. Heerlijk centraal gelegen binnen steenworp van de mooie nieuwe Queens Gardens.

It was very clean and the staff very helpful. A good choice meals on the menu and a great breakfast.

The room was like a sauna which I realise was due to the weather so could have done with the option of a sheet rather than the duvet.

This is at least the sixth time I have stayed at this hotel. Its location is in a quiet area; it is very comfortable, the staff are very helpful, the food is good. It's ten minutes walk from Paragon station, but that is compensated by the quiet location.

Staff were very friendly and sorted out our car parking issue on arrival, food was good and breakfast was hot and well presented, room on the whole was lovely and spacious in a separate annexe, close to the Theatre which we had booked for Saturday night

Noisy neighbours, either above or to side could not quite work out but disturbed early on Sunday by loud voice and also trips across the carpet, sounded like a small herd of elephants. First issue was on arrival no Car Parking space, which has been indicated on booking site but this was very quickly resolved by reception and no issue after this first contact, note try and avoid arriving when the Theatre has a show on.

The friendliness and helpfulness of every member of staff from the moment we arrived. Loved my room. Breakfast and dinner all superb, and efficiently served so that there was no rush for pre-theatre diners. Lovely to be able to have a late night drink too. We will be back soon.

Everybody absolutely charming, and hotel gorgeous.

Another excellent stay - all the staff are so helpful, efficient and cheerful. Thank you again for making me and my friend feel so welcome. Rooms quiet and so clean and comfy. Breakfast fabulous and also so easy having pre theatre meal and just walk over to see a show. Highly recommend.

2nd stay here for trip to the theatre which is just across the square and 15min walk to the quayside.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this hotel for a trip to the theatre. It's just across the square and a short walk to the quayside. The room we had was really spacious, clean with bath robes and slippers. The staff are very friendly and attentive and breakfast was good quality and cooked well. Will definitely staff here again next time we visit the theatre.

We were extremely happy with our stay at the Kingston Theatre Hotel. We arrived by car, and there was free parking just outside the hotel. We had just come from a 3-day stay in another hotel in Hull, which we didn't like, and staying at this lovely hotel in a quiet part of Hull exceeded our expectations. At check-in, we were upgraded to a large, luxurious room with lovely views of a park across the road.

Hot breakfast cooked to order. We were upgraded to a spacious suite. Comfortable bed and adequate water pressure for the shower. Quiet location despite being directly opposite the theatre.

The hotel is perfectly located for Hull theatre and other attractions. Staff were extremely helpful and the room we were allocated was very spacious

I was sceptical with it being such an old hotel but it is absolutely beautiful. A little dated in places but absolutely spotless. Loved having a fridge in the room and the bonus of a fan during this heatwave. Breakfast was delicious and the blonde lady serving (sunday morning) was lovely. Fantastic location for the theatre and it was nice to have a late bar to have a drink after the show. My daughter although 14 was absolutely over the moon with her gift bag of bubbles & treats on arrival to our room. Lovely and convenient for the shops and the staff were all lovely. Will use again next time we come to Hull.

We wasn't aware there was a wedding taking place. It was a little intimidating coming back to the hotel with large groups of weddings guests hanging around the front. When we arrived in the afternoon we was checking in and the bride and guests were in and out of the bar area. Made us feel slightly awkward like we had gate crashed their wedding. On the upside, the music was very loud, but surprisingly couldnt hear a thing from our room on the 3rd floor.

Went for business and stayed over. Beautiful city full of original architecture including cobbled streets. The cathedral and William Wilberforce museum are worth seeing. The restaurant we chose was very slow left before they served after waiting 30 mins. Massive breakfast at a cafe the following day.

Quaint, clean, homely hotel with a real family feel. We came to Hull to see a show and the hotel stay made it a memorable experience. Great food too!

The friendly staff and the lovely room, which was a free upgrade to an executive room. Spacious, comfortable and clean. Dressing gown and slippers provided. Quiet and peaceful location too, not always easy to find in the hubbub of a city.

Breakfast. The assumption that everyone would love to eat a cooked breakfast every morning. Personally, I don't enjoy cooked breakfast and would rather have buffet style. I believe the hotel thought they were providing this alternative but in truth it was a poor selection of cereals and fresh fruit (hard unripe melon dominating) and unimaginative bread for toast. I would have liked a choice of different breads, rolls, croissants. There was also an assumption that everyone would be happy with jam/marmalade/honey but I like savoury food at breakfast, such as peanut butter, cheese slices, cooked meats, Marmite. I think more imagination in providing a breakfast that would suit everyone is needed.

All 1st class across the board. Staff all most helpful. Room up to date design. No loose tiles or plaster. Room and bathroom spotlessly clean. Bed comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Requested alarm call came on time.

A wall clock in the room and a note pad would have been helpful.
