Wonderful team that looked after us from start to finish on our visit for our 10-year wedding anniversary.
Impeccable service and views
We booked the room with two separate beds in advance. Also we informed the hotel that we’d come late at night. The hotel rejected to give us room with two beds due to maintenance problems with the room. They didn’t inform us before. We was too tired to book the other hotel and decided to stay with Shagri-La. Especially for such a price. But I won’t reckoned it next time.
The location
The view and room were awful for the price honestly very disappointed and let down
The views and facilities were awesome
Nothing comes to mind
The views and rooms were perfect. The restaurant Oblix and cocktail bar gong were phenomenal
We were lucky enough to get an up graded room, the view was magnificent especially in the dark / evening. The room was amazing comfortable and the seating meant we didn't have to just sit on the bed.
There was nothing not to like. It was a 1 night special treat and you ticked every box for us.
The room was beautiful, high up in the sky with absolutely fantastic views across London. Just walking in to the room and watching the blinds raise to reveal the view was incredible. The room was extremely well-appointed, with everything you could think of in there for you. The staff were also absolutely incredible, very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The nightly turn-down service was a lovely touch, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I would love to return again one day!
Leaving! I wish we could have stayed for longer, but hopefully we will be able to return one day and experience the Shangri-La London again!

Horrible staff gym facilities were limited unfriendly team and extremely over priced. Didn’t see that there was a breakfast included on our booking either when we clearly booked it. Made us extremely uncomfortable and awkward.

Good location and very clean
Cleaner too long to clean my room
Room was spacious and has some technology and bath and shower together ❤️. Was at a height. Also, sound proof .
I didnt like the hotel welcoming, we went there for our anniversary and as complementary gestures was nothing been placed like, fruit, small cake ... I found that very cheap as other hotels or cafes least give you some sort of token of wish left in the room and welcoming... also, never was asked after checked in how we are comfortable. Bed was not comfortable for a 5* hotel. Ordered room service, what we asked for totally something else arrived. At the end the total amount booking. Com charge the hotel will put 5% discretionary on top but that's optional if you want to pay. Went to the gong restaurant didnt like the service and food.
Location & views..
Krasny vyhled. Skvely personal. Vse perfektni.
Everything about this property is just incredible
Absolument tout
Everything was excellent as always
Just wanted to inform money was stolen by the house keeping staff from our suitcase, we did not raise any concerns as we did not want to spoil our vacation but need to keep a careful attention. Thanks.

I organised a surprise overnight stay for my husband, for our 35th anniversary. I informed the hotel of this, and the staff (customer services, reception and at the lounge bar) were very helpful in enabling me to keep it a surprise. Including informing me when the room was ready whilst we were enjoying cocktails in the lounge on the 52nd floor. The suite was exceptional and the views were stunning. It was a wonderful stay for an amazing husband (and me). I would certainly recommend it. Thanks again to all the lovely staff who helped me in the surprise.

The magnificent view from our room
The discretionary cost added without any notification, and the extra €300 per night charge for possible use of room extras
World class location Top class accommodation Pool + spa (and views from them) are unbeatable
Nothing to say here - other than v expensive (but worth it!!!)
This is a luxury stay in a special building with stunning views Staff were excellent and I liked how we were able to swim when we arrived even without a booking At breakfast there was no marmite - so the manager went and found some for us - much appreciated
It’s a busy place and guests tend to arrive and leave at the same time Things like Express check out , coffee on the buffet , clearing tables quicker would help ease the pressure

Amazing property, supported by absolutely amazing team of staff who went the extra mile and beyond all expectations to make our stay the most memorable ever. My wife and I had wonderful stay at Shangri-La The Shard. If it was possible to do so I would give them an overall score of 15 out of 10. Just cannot thank the team enough and would love to return to this beautiful hotel in the future.
What’s there not to like? Perhaps the only thing we did not like is that our stay was only for 6 nights. Wish it had been for 2 weeks and we could have enjoyed ourselves even more!

The best view in London! I still rate this as the best hotel experience in town. I’ve stayed at many of the other luxury hotels in London but nothing compares to here in my opinion, not even the Savoy..
A hotel with excellent views over London from all areas. The room was quiet, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Great location.

The room was incredibly well put together and catered to of our needs. The hotel made our stay special for our wedding anniversary and the views of London from our room was just beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Everything, Staff were so friendly and helpful, views absolutely amazing. Calm environment definitely go back again
Everything
…..obvs the city view, the breakfast, size of room and its serene calmness
They add a 5% optional service charge to the bill that they will remove if asked but this ‘emotional blackmail’ approach should be ended. Poor form and it is added to all the bill including gratuities you may have already added to meals. If they aren’t paying the staff well enough out of the £1,000+ bill they should be reflecting on the way they treat the staff.
Beautiful hotel. Amazing views and room. Lovely staff. Great breakfast. Very special experience for a special occasion.
It is certainly expensive but it was a very special experience and treat.
Had the most amazing stay at Shangri-La The Shard. The staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived. It was a birthday treat and I was greeted in the room with a ‘happy birthday’ message written on the glass and a fabulous delivery of cakes. We were on the 44th floor with a view over the city but could see as far as Wembley, Ally Pally and the Emirates Stadium. The night view was spectacular! The room was large enough with ample storage, the bathroom was huge with a separate shower and bath. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast buffet was lovely with so much choice. Absolutely loved our stay - only negative was the leaving!!
Update 2026: We stayed for another couple nights and the hotel is just aa excellent as ever. We tried the Elemis massage treatment this time and it was great too. It's situated in one of the rooms of the hotel and the staff does a great job at finding you to bring you there. Original 2024 review: Easily one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in - be sure to book and check out the Sky Pool, it's a must! The location isn't the best as it's a little far from the city centre, however there's a tubes station right next door for easy access to the city.
Another lovely time in the Shangri-la with my daughter and grand daughter. We knew what to expect as we had had a short break there last year and it was as good as last time, they even gave us the same room as last year as we requested. The rooms are fabulous and a great comfort to return to after a busy day in London. We did not use the bars or restaurants, but had room service dinner one evening and it was excellent, promptly delivered, beautifully presented and excellent quality. The staff are terrific. We hope to return…..
The literal height of luxury and service. This hotel is an architectual marvel. It is luxurious and matched by the exceptional service a guest expects when staying at property of this notoriety. Everything about this hotel is worth it. It is a must try. As an added bones, the hotel is readily accessible to the tube and a famous farmers market.
Rien !
Extremely nice view and spacious room. Food is mediocre except for the breakfast . The pool is not very clean and has only few hours when children ( under 16) are allowed
The pool was below average
most things....the view is epic..rooms are great and staff supper helpful
you should do staggered checkins so you coulds checkin at say 11.00 am but would then need checkout at 10-11 the next day..that way you wouldnt have half the hotel wouldnt be leaving at the same time and you could have more generous checkin. i think checkin at 4pm and checkout at 12 is really poor..
Liked the room and bed
Had to pay extra foe bath over looking the city
Stayed at The Shard Shangri-La for 1 night as part of a work event. The Hotel was welcoming and the staff from start to finish were fantastic. The room I had was on 46th floor and was nice along with the fantastic views, as per my photos. We had dinner in The Li Room and the staff were brilliant along with the 3 course meal being wonderful too. After the meal we spent the evening in The Gong Bar and the drinks, views, atmosphere and staff were all brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, i didn’t get time to use the pool or other facilities but colleagues did and said they were great.

Friendly staff, Stunning views, convenient location, and the room is clean and tidy. Suitable for families and business guests.
My experience in the Shard has always been 10 out of 10 and myself and my wife has always had an amazing experience and this was helped on New Years Eve and today by Elias Loecker who has been nothing short of amazing and a true assent to the Shard, I would recommend anybody to come and experience this for themselves. Thank you again for a truly amazing experience and will be back for sure!
Everything was fabulous
Views are great. Location is great. That’s about it.
To be honest our stay was just average. The room and views were amazing but some of the windows were not just dirty they were filthy. We booked a window experience in Gong, the space we were crammed into was tiny, for £250 I would have expected more and much better service, we asked multiple times for sparkling water that never arrived, glasses not topped up, dishes not cleared away, a very average experience, later that evening I asked if they or another bar would be showing the England quarterfinal and I was laughed at and told “this is a five star hotel of course not” I was well aware it’s a five star hotel that’s why I booked it! The staff member was rude and condescending. Breakfast was also poor, a limited selection that you’d find in any decent 4 star hotel. The room and the views are 5 star but everything is really isn’t.

Chewing gum stuck under the tables Sur charges on every thing
good location very warm and kind professional staff and kind and professional and helpful reception desk
Wow, wow, wow! My partner and I stayed in the Westminster Suite to celebrate her birthday. The best room I've stayed in, simply breath taking. The whole experience from the moment you walk through the revolving doors is world class, ultimate luxury. ALL of the staff we interacted with, the spa, the suite. Unreal! Thank you to everyone at the Shangri-La The Shard for making it so special
This review is long overdue. We stayed at this hotel in August 2024. The manager was fabulous and let us preview several view rooms until we found one we loved! We had an exceptional stay and ate at the hotel restaurant twice (both the food and the view were great). We would definitely stay here again.
We had an opportunity to book the Sunday Brunch at the Shangri la. What a wonderful experience. From the greeting, to the views , to the food and the attentive staff. Such an amazing place. The lift to the 35th floor went so smoothly you hardly knew it had moved. Would recommend for that special occasion or just for a special Sunday indulgence
Location
We went to the Shard for a room with a view. Unfortunately the view from our room was obscured by mucky windows.
Der Blick auf die Stadt von allen Seiten hervorragend. Zentrale Lage, gute Anbindung an die Tube

I love to stay with Shangrila hotel whenever I travel to China ,Singapore and Australia since 1993. Myself and my family members all concurrently agreed to spend eight days visit recently to London for holiday because we feel safe if stay with Shangrila hotel as I have full confidence that all their staff are willing to support and help us whenever advice and hospitality services are needed. After returning to HK, we all felt that staying comfortable and peacefully every night in ShangrilaHotel London is absolutely wonderful to travellers like us! I should have to say many thanks to Shangrila hotel The Shard for all their efforts to help their guests to have such a wonderful staying in London. As travellers , they could continue to provide us excellent hospitality service which are extremely vital. That’s why I continue to stay with Shangrila hotel no matter it is for business travelling or for holidays!
Great property and view
Reception on level 35 but not much we can do about that
Another excellent experience staying here. A three night stay and the service continues to be top class. Pool/sauna on floor 52 is excellent too!

I wanted to write to express my sincere thanks following our recent stay. We were incredibly grateful to be upgraded to the Shangri-La Suite on arrival. It was such an unexpected gesture and truly made our trip unforgettable. The suite was simply spectacular and every member of the team we encountered was warm, welcoming and professional. Please would you pass on our thanks to the front office team and anyone involved in arranging the upgrade. Their kindness and generosity made a very special occasion even more memorable, and we are genuinely so appreciative. Thank you once again for creating such a wonderful experience. We are already looking forward to returning to Shangri-La The Shard in the future.
We usually stay at the Grand / Park Hyatt when we go to Japan / Sydney / Hong Kong. But whenever we travel to London, we always choose to stay at Shangri-la The Shard. This time we stayed at Shangri-La The Shard, London between 23–27 June to pre-celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday, the members (special thanks to Kurt and Bruna) at the Hotel has made our trip so memorable by providing us earlier check-in, room upgrading, and offering a birthday cake. Magnificent views from the room overlooking some iconic buildings like St Paul's Cathedral, the London Eye, One Blackfriars,..., etc. Whenever we go to London again, I will not choose other hotels to stay at. Shangri-La The Shard, I see you again next time!
The view was nice but after looking at it for a little more than 5 minutes it is just a view. The rooms are clean but no thing spectacular. I have been to 3 star hotels abroad much nicer. There wasn't a welcome drink, no complimentary biscuits. I called concierge to find out if I could get some buscuits for the room and was told they no longer offered complimentary biscuits. We has only 2 bottles of water for our stay which was on a very hot day. The food was honestly not remarkable both for supper or for breakfast. The building is beautiful to look at. Unfortunately you can only look at it from the outside. The inside is just a clean building. We were not given an experience, we were given shelter for the day and night. Just shelter. The pool was a nice novelty and refreshing early in the morning.
Lack of " an experience". No complimentary anything important and worthwhile. Lack of value for the money paid.
Loved it
Spa area could have been improved and hot tub by pool would have been nice
The view is amazing and having room facing the city is a must

Beautiful hotel with stunning views
It's an amazing experience while sitting on 32 floor for dining
Everything about this hotel is exceptional! We have stayed at many luxury properties throughout the world, including The Four Seasons, Ritz, Carlton, Mandarin Oriental, Montage, Rosewood, etc. and this particular hotel had the best customer attention and care over any hotel we’ve stayed at. I only had to mention my food allergies once and during the 4 days we were there, every server remembered it before I had to mention it. They truly made us feel like family. The views are a no-brainer- nothing beats them at any time of the day! The food was amazing and our room was beautiful, clean and exceptionally comfortable. The a/c gets extra cool, which is rare for Europe. I actually slept better at this hotel than I have anywhere else the world, including home. Thr location next to Burroughs Market and the Tube made it very convenient too.
Location and luxury standards
It is expensive for food and drinks
Such an amazing hotel with great staff!
The hotel is lovely, the room was beautiful and nicely appointed, and the views over The Tower and Tower Bridge obviously stunning. The pool and sauna on 52nd floor are a joy. We arrived at 2pm but our room was not ready, so we had something to eat at Ting, which was just ok, seemed overpriced for what we had? We were promised a text on our room availibility which never came, eventually i went to reception to ask if we could have keys yet. Rate included breakfast which was a buffet, which was fine, I would prefer waiter service at thos price. We were asked if we would like an omlette (nothing else was mentioned), i asked for a menu but there is no breakfast menu?? The tea served at breakfast was truly dreadful. Weak stale luke warm tea poured into teapots from jugs on a side serving table, it tasted of coffee. We had had enough and didnt linger. The final irritation was again having to ask for the removal of the discretionary 5% " hotel service charge".
The view, the room, the location, the service
Couldn’t fault it

I stayed at Shangri-La The Shard, London between 24–30 May. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious, clean, and modern, especially by London standards. One of the greatest privileges of staying there was being able to enjoy the breathtaking view of London from above at any time from the room. You can see The Shard from almost every part of London, which makes the experience even more special. We had booked our stay with breakfast included, and the breakfast was excellent. It was also very nice that halal food options were available. Another great advantage of the hotel is its location. The underground and train stations are right next to the hotel, and the Uber Boat pier is also very close, making transportation around London extremely convenient. The concierge team was also very helpful, and the staff serving breakfast were extremely kind, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay.
La chambre exceptionnelle la vue sur tout, Londres la salle de bain, magnifique vue sur la cathédrale Saint-Paul, le petit déjeuner exceptionnel et le personnel aux petits soins
We just got back from eight nights in the London Suite at Shangri-La The Shard and honestly — it's one of those stays you keep talking about long after you're home. The suite is on Level 38 and the views are simply extraordinary. Floor-to-ceiling windows, 180 degrees of unobstructed London skyline — Tower Bridge and the Tower of London are right there in front of you, St Paul's, Canary Wharf, the Houses of Parliament, and on clear mornings we could even spot the Emirates Stadium to the north. The deep soaking tub faces the view directly, which sounds like a small thing until you're actually in it with London spread out below you. The furnishings, amenities, and butler service all matched the setting perfectly. Not a single weak detail. But the real reason to stay here is the people. Jessica (the manager) is exceptional — she's the kind of person who quietly makes everything work before you even notice it needs to. Proactive, warm, and consistent across nine days. And Wyine at the front desk — our welcome on arrival day after a long overnight flight was warm, graceful, and set the tone for everything that followed. We didn't forget her name. The London Suite is a genuine bucket list experience. Views, soaking tub, suite quality, staff — it all comes together in a way that's hard to find anywhere. We're already talking about coming back.
It was a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. Definitely recommended for a special occasion. The view from the room was dreamy and the bathtub with the view was the highlight.
Everything

I stayed 3 times now and every time I've stayed and visited the swimming pool.ive had an absolutely amazing welcoming and service from matt
I was on a 3 day business trip to London in the middle of a very long international journey. I stayed here because my meeting was in the hotel and I am so very glad I did. When I collapsed into my room at 10 pm after a long flight from India, I was so pleased at the comfy bed, the spacious room, the AMAZING heated toilet. And the room smelled sooooo good. The rooftop sauna overlooks the city and is not to be missed. I will arrange to stay here if possible in the future.

Always a pleasant stay. Lovely views and breakfast and quick commuting via London Bridge station literally one minute away.
Great view and very intentional with the room arrangements
Lighting could be improved. Not enough light for a picture at night in my room.
My stay at Shangri-La The Shard, London was exceptional from start to finish. The warmth, professionalism, and attentiveness of the staff truly set this hotel apart. The hotel was also impeccably clean, with every area maintained to the highest standard, creating a comfortable and luxurious experience throughout my stay. A wonderful combination of outstanding service, elegance, and attention to detail. I would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting London.
