From check-in to check-out my stay was excellent. From service to quality and comfort everything was a 5 star.

Stayed Sunday-Monday for an anniversary. Love the jetted tub. Wish we could have tried the restaurant!

Clean and quiet

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, we had a great sleep. The location is great, easy to get to from the highway and close the McMaster Hospital where we had an appointment to attend.

The staff and the property is always above average.

The most comfortable bed we’ve slept in for ages. No pain overnight. It was amazing.

I will say that the hot tub and pool are usually above average. This stay I was extremely sad to say it didn’t look like the pool/hot tub area had been cleaned. It seemed ok until I got in and noticed the about of dirt around the water’s edge.

Room was clean. Wasnt at the hotel for much other than to sleep.

Check-in was friendly and efficient. Our room was a little musty but very clean. The pool is wonderful. And we have loved The Hungry Traveler restaurant in the hotel. Excellent food and service and we would stay here again for the delicious homemade meals. It’s not fancy but this hotel has the basics covered which was what we were looking for.

Great hotel, I love the early check in. Not very walkable, but that rarely bothers me. Very convenient to the highway.

It was perfect for our stay . We were close to wedding venue at RBG . The restaurant had great service and very friendly .

Paid for a top room. Unable to sleep due to excessive noise from the AC ventilation. After over an hour, was offered another room, but exactly the same issue. Staff were totally uninterested. Would rather sleep in the car than stop here again

What I didnt like is the way this hotel handles payment. Ive booked several hotels and never had one hold $630 in payments plus make me pay $230 at checkout for staying 1 night. I also selected to pay at the property and was charged the night before for the whole stay plus a deposit.

Location is great if you're visiting the Hamilton area. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very pleasant and accommodating. Highly recommended and will definitely stay here again.

The check in gal was very rude, which was rather shocking. Informed management the next day and they took care of it promptly. Other than her, it was a very nice location and very comfortable beds!

Very clean

Was right on top of where two highways merge, so I was very concerned about the noise. But…it wasn’t bad at all. The windows blocked it out quite well. Room was modern and seemed super clean! The restaurant was only staffed by one person. She was the greeter, server and then went back and cooked your food. We sat at our table a VERY long time before getting menus or acknowledgement. Something didn’t make sense…and sure enough, the poor women didn’t want you ordering food if she was still busy with the prior customers. It was all linear for her—no ability to multi-task. But honestly, it became comical for two retirees with time to spare.

Was a good stay for a night as I had an appointment in Hamilton. There is a highway right behind the Hotel that makes for loud traffic noise and it smelled like sewage outside, I was told this is normal for Hamilton prior to travelling there.

Pool and hot tub were great. Rooms a little small. The restaurant is closed Monday and closed early Sunday night

It was a very nice hotel. The hotel pool and room were extremely clean and felt very luxurious nice amenities like ice and water also a well stocked vending machine will definitely stay again was lucky to have the pool room to ourselves during the day and was happy to see even though the hotel is smoke free there are spots on the property further away from the hotel to smoke

Getting into the hotel is a little strange, by way of a "bicycle lane / slip way just after traffic lights / bus stop!! Large billboard obscures hotel sign until the very last minute. Could prove dangerous in high traffic situations.

I gave my king bed up for another guest. He was 6'8". The offered me free breakfast.

A lovely property to stay at.

Ate at Hungry Travelers for dinner and again the next day for breakfast. Food was great and staff were super friendly. I'll be back next time I'm in town.

We stay here several times a year as it is convenient to taking our daughter back to University. We usually don't have time to use the pool but this stay we did. Most hotels we've stayed at have very small pools but this one is nicely sized. They also have a hot tub and dry sauna. I nice way to unwind after a long drive. Will make sure to make time to use these more going forward.

This was our second visit to the Visitors Inn. The place is just a great hotel. Very easy check-in, hyper clean room, very comfortable bed, strong shower, even electric charging for our car. It may not have the hype of a big-chain name but this place is simply an easy, affordable stay. Well worth a look.

Wonderful stay in the family suite which comfortably fit 6 adults. The hotel was very clean, and the room was spacious. Would recommend to anyone staying in the Hamilton area.

This is a clean Inn in a quiet location of the city. We had no issues and felt it was well worth the cost, a great value. The pool area looked very well kept but we didn't use it.

I had a great stay this is my go to spot when I visit Hamilton.

Our room was very clean, bed was comfortable and we loved how we could park right outside our room for easy in and out access. We would stay here again.

Beautiful rooms. Comfy beds. Only thing was the pillows were a bit high for us. Otherwise super quiet and excellent room.

The room was not vacuumed after the first night. I appreciated my stay. It was comfortable.

Very neat and spacious. The staffs were very friendly.

The staff was extremely rude and even refused to greet or communicate. The ground floor felt like a basement. While the room appeared clean, the refrigerator and coffee pot were practically unusable. Most importantly, the attitude of the front desk staff was highly problematic. I came here because of the high ratings, but I would not recommend this place.

I booked a room for my brother, myself, and my two nephews for Saturday. I wanted to pay ahead so that it was an easy check in, so I called ahead on Thursday. The staff member I spoke with over the phone informed me that my card would be charged on the Friday for the cost of the room, which it was. However, when I arrived on Saturday, I was told I had to pay an additional $200 deposit on top of what I'd already paid. The concierge was incredibly unwelcoming and unsympathetic to the situation. Fortunately, I was refunded (still waiting for the money to go back on my card but that's due to my bank) and we were able to use another credit card to pay for the room. There's also no breakfast included and I wasn't informed by the concierge what time breakfast ended. They just said we could eat in the restaurant. The hospitality staff were the nicest staff members we interacted with in the entire hotel. They stayed open late and offered to serve us breakfast as long as we ordered quickly. The concierge in the morning was more accomodating, allowing us a late checkout, but still not friendly. I didn't feel welcomed at the Visitors Inn and I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone else. I also didn't love staring at a United States of America flag that was posted outside my window.

Friendly staff. Excellent Resturant !

Both sides of the hotel face toward the high way, so very noisy. If you are sensitive to the noise, it’s not a good choice. The staff is very nice, empathetic and helpful though.

Very good location for getting around Hamilton. At times first drive up suites have smokers that can be at times filtering through into upper floor rooms

I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times and I always enjoy it. Front desk staff is nice, rooms are clean and comfortable; and the bed and pillows make it feel like you’re sleeping on a cloud. Highly recommend.

The general condition of the hotel is fine , but i was feeling discriminated because i bring my Pomeranian service dog , and the guy from the front did a really bad expression and also was telling like “this is a service dog” I really felt discriminated it was a really bad experience I couldn’t sleep that night, people with services animal are not welcome in that hotel.

The staff were amazing. Always smiling and offering to help with anything we needed. Such a great experience. We will definitely book next time in town

What a gem of a hotel! We were on a road trip and wanted a hotel near Toronto. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Every employee was pleasant and welcoming. Our room was super clean and the bathroom was nicely updated. We used the pool and hot tub both nights, both clean and well cared for. From the clean hallways, stairways to the restaurant and parking lot, you can tell that the owners take great pride in this hotel.

Great location and the friendliest staff I’ve ever met at a hotel.

This was my first time staying at Visitors Inn, and all the staff were super friendly. The room was super clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was nice to have a room on the bottom floor where I could unload right at my door. I was worried about the noise from the highway, but it was super quiet. I decided to stay in and order diner from the restaurant and it was amazing. The young lady that was working was friendly and she mentioned that her mom was the cook. I took my food back to my room and was so good. I could tell that she she cooks with passion. My chicken fettuccine was cooked to perfection. I will definitely stay here again when travelling back and forth from Nunavut to New York.

Great price, with a hot tub and a pool.

Front desk employee refused to check my daughter in at 8pm at night because she did not have a personsl credit card. ..would not accept her VisaDebit card. The reservation was made by me on my card for her. This was the reception they got after driving 5 hours to Hamilton from Sudbury for their son's surgery at 6:30 a.m. at McMaster children's hospital the following morning. I eventually convinced the desk person to process the reservation on my card as was planned. We will not use this hotel again...
