Hot tub en steam room gesloten voor renovatie zonder vermelding tot we er zelf naar op zoek gingen, ook niet vermeld bij het boeken. Bedden niet zo comfortabel, badkuip schilferde af als we er in zaten, rare en onaangename geur en smaak in het kraanwater.

Staff trying their best. Three rooms in 3 nights but I didn’t have a reservation. 1st night had to move because of rain dripping on ceiling above bed…that could turn into a nightmare for repair. No maintenance staff at night but what can you do people can’t work 24 hours a day. I was moved … but moved to a “less adequate” room and not discounted anything on my room…yikes. 3rd night nicer room but had to pay more because the hotel was booked a bit more. Needed two more nights and was told sure for double the cost. I moved to a different hotel.

A very clean room with a view of the bay. Convenient shampoo, conditioner and body wash on wall of shower. Good water pressure. Comfortable bed. The best gym at a motel i have stayed in.

Spa unavailable as being revamped.

We had a room with two queen sized beds and a water view. The bay window and window seat made for some fun boat, otter, and eagle watching! The views were amazing and we really enjoyed that. Having two queen beds (our choice) made the room a bit tight for space so if you pack a lot of luggage keep that in mind. We made it work. The hotel should be commended for having heat pump AC and heat. The unit in the room was quiet and cooled the room very well (it was warm in the afternoons when we were there). The bathroom was also small and has been remodeled but the shower controls were a bit hard to figure out. Overall though the rain shower was nice to have. The restaurant has very good food and drinks. Wait staff in the evenings were a bit more knowledgeable and attentive than in the mornings but overall we recommend the restaurant. The views there are also excellent. Front desk staff were very nice and helpful. We also appreciated the guest laundry facilities as we were on an extended trip-bring your own soap. There is really good grocery store right across the street which was great for take out food and snacks.

It would be nice to have a way out of the hotel other than walking in the front parking lot. It made for some awkward pedestrian/car interactions. The walking path behind the hotel is great, it would be nice to be able to get to that directly.

Waterfront, easy access to everything you want or need! Walking or driving distances. Staff were incredible. My 13-year-old forgot his Nintendo Switch in our room and was in a flat panic. I called and emailed and received a call back and an email back letting me know it was found and confirming they were holding it until we get back from Haida Gwaii. Breakfast at the restaurant was excellent. The room was so comfortable and the soap/shampoo/conditioner made me wish you could buy it on site!

I wish I’d booked an ocean view room, but that is on me.

We absolutely loved our room overlooking the water. We were fortunate enough to be in Prince Rupert on a sunny day so the view was stunning. The patio of the restaurant was also beautiful and was a nice place to relax and enjoy the view.

We decided to book a room at the Crest because it was advertised to have a hot tub overlooking the water and splurged a little more to book there. So, you can imagine our disappointment that the hot tub was out of commission as they were renovating to make a spa. The hotel and restaurant/patio were lovely but it was disappointing that no one let us know that the hot tub would not be there.

You cannot beat the location and view of this property and one additional really wonderful very helpful aspect was the restaurant downstairs. Excellent food!

The breakfast was outstanding, the Ocean view spectacular and it was close to other amenities in town.

The cost was a little inflated given some facilities were not open and it is an older hotel but it was peak summer tourist season.

Excellent King Room with panoramic sea views a large very comfortable bed. More than adequate clean bathroom. We enjoyed our dinner of fresh fish at the well appointed restaurant, in all a very enjoyable stay.

Our room was lovely. We had an unobstructed view of the water from a little nook by the window.

Initially our room was right above a smoking zone. As soon as we entered the room, it smelled awful! We're not smokers and had little kids with us. After speaking to the front desk,we were moved to another room. We were there for 2 nights and unfortunately, the second night was charged at a different and higher rate than our original booking. We were moved from a room with 2 double beds to a king.

I liked the location

The first time I stayed was over 20 years ago and I have stayed numerous times. The last time was over 5 years ago and I have noticed the decline. When we arrived which was approximately 5 pm there were about a dozen dirty wine glasses in the hall. They were still there the next morning. Jacuzzi wasn’t working. Carpets looking worn. The hotel is definitely in decline. I won’t stay there again

Great meals! Gorgeous view.

Love the old world decor of the rooms - nice break from common modernist black and gray decors nowadays. Modernized bathrooms are also a nice feature, albeit small. Water view is fabulous - even got to see cruise ship dock right in front of us. Excellent restaurant! Great location for walking into the quaint parts of the downtown shoreline and the regional museum. No problems with late check in at 1am because of late ferry arrival.

Coffee maker (how about a pod machine!!), and no floor mat for the bathroom.

It was way overpriced and being right beside the casino. There were a lot of people outside yelling and partying through the night. Do not recommend this hotel on weekends for people who are travelling for business/working

This is a beautiful hotel. The views are stunning. One frustration was the hot tub was closed and price did not account for this. I found the price too much for the hotel but it is a lovely spot and there are limited options in the area. My one criticism is the room was very tight for two beds...it was quite tight getting around. We enjoyed sitting on the deck each night with the stunning views.

The location is super, very close to the centre. The restaurant provided a very good evening meal and excellent breakfasts. The room was a little small (though the view across the sound was fabulous) and the decoration is becoming a bit tired but it's not significant really. The only issue we had was with the attitude of one of the reception staff: we asked to pay the evening before an early departure but they don't do that, apparently, and we also asked to book a taxi for the following morning but that couldn't be organised either. Disappointing.

They could remind all staff that the customers pay their wages.

Loved the location, the view, friendly staff, clean rooms, air conditioning, restaurant/lounge with patio. Great gym/fully equipped (clean facilities). Appreciated water bottles in the fridge. Loved being able to walk everywhere from the hotel. Close to Cow Bay.

Disappointed that the hot tub and sauna were closed for repair. Washroom was a little small. Not much space to store toiletries. Lots of condensation on the window (perhaps due to window seal issue?)

Good location, wonderful view over the bay. We stayed just for one night.

Great location. Our room had a window seat, great for taking in the harbour views. Ample parking.

Hot tubs were out of order. They are doing a renovation, which is great, but in my opinion, price should be relaxed if amenities are not fully open.

The staff were great. They kept our belongings secured after we checked out so we could enjoy breakfast at their beautiful restaurant and then walk cow bay along the water. The Crest has always been my go-to hotel when staying in Prince Rupert and the hotel did not disappoint. Loved the ocean view room…a great way to enjoy my first coffee.

Great restaurant and great location...we came on the train so did not have a car.

Great location. Friendly staff. Restaurant food was excellent.

The room we had was two double beds. They are very tight to each other and the wall. The pillows are two large for the bed size. Could not put them side by side without them hanging over the edge and touching the wall.

Breakfast was good, a bit expensive, but quality, had water facing rooms which was excellent. I understand there will be many upgrades in the near future which is exciting. We'll be back again for ure.

Had some water issues that caused some havoc, also, the lights on the 3rd floor went out, but otherwise all good.

The hotel has an old worldly charm, rooms were clean, but time has not been very pleasant to the interior decor. The food at the Waterfront Restaurant was surprisingly good, we enjoyed our meals so much that we will definitely return just to experience the rest of the menu. Come for the charm, but stay for the food!

The first room we stayed in was a bit damp and had a fairly noticable musty smell. We chalked it up to the age of the hotel and the proximity to the ocean front, the room was city facing. However, when we decided to stay an extra night, we requested the ocean facing side, oddly the room was not damp and had no smell.

The view is beautiful, customer service was great, room was upgraded for no extra cost, food was great.

The quality of the TV was horrible, no fan in the bathroom and sink spout way to close, hard to wash hands, View of the roof takes away from the scenery. The restaurant sat us in the Lounge but we made reservations for the window view dining area.

We loved everything about the hotel, the location, the furnishings, the style but moat of all the number of staff and the professional, efficient and personable nature of their service. The food was excellent as well as our room and of course our view over the water. I travel often. I cannot think of a better experience in a hotel including my frequent visits to Europe.
