Super comfy beds and friendly, lovely staff
Posizione
Camere poco insonorizzate.
The view of the water front
Great location.
Clean, nice property
I had an oceanview room which did not disappoint! Amazing views out over the ocean. The breakfast was nice.
Super friendly staff. Huge beautiful room. I liked the split bathroom. Check in went very fast even though all the people from the ferry arrived at the same time. Nice breakfast. Liked the view.
The location was very central to downtown, with good proximity to restaurants, good parking, and good access to the highway. We especially appreciated that a) the room had a fridge, and b) because we were leaving so early, we had the option to request a take-away breakfast, which was delivered to our room, ready to go. We had a room with a "city view", so cannot comment on the harbour views ...
Centrally located, easy to walk around downtown and to marina. phenomenal view from the dining room even if you don't get a room facing the water... we faced the city/mountain. decent complimentary continental breakfast and friendly staff. clean and spacious room. lots of free parking in hotel lot out front.
nothing
Alles bestens, inkl Frühstück. Alle waren sehr freundlich und bemüht.
Quick check-in and great location after 17 hour ferry trip from Port Hardy. Nice room. I was on the city side, but enjoyed the view from the café in the morning.
They must have dialed down the water heater to save money, because the water doesn't really get hot.
Breakfast included, served and good choice for continental. Made very welcome. Centrally placed.
Must put in blackout curtains
Breakfast was OK but pretty limited. They did put together a to-go bag of food for an early morning ferry departure. Overall room was clean and comfortable. Nice view on the harbour.
Breakfast choice could have been better.
Eine schöne Lage
Zimmer zum Parkplatz - daher recht laut
An absolutely beautiful room. 102, downstairs, Harbour view. The king bed was amazing. Great pillows. Loved the colour scheme and art work. Loved how everything was sectioned off. I felt we had a livingroom, bedroom, bathroom and coffee bar. There was even binoculars to watch for wildlife!
Nothing. Everything was great.
The staff, the location, the early morning take away breakfast. All were excellent
Nothing really. Maybe they could have more than 1 washing machine / dryer
Great location
Location. We only spent one night there after arriving early morning from the ferry. Staff very welcoming
Nothing. Would have stayed longer but had other plans
All good
Nothing
Central
Had a drain issue but management switched our room immediately
I booked 2 nights at Inn on the Harbour but had to cancel when I changed my route. I canceled months ahead and it was a free cancelation. However, on the day I was originally due to stay, Inn on the Harbour took £108.81 from my bank account. I protested, they apologised but because of GBP£-CDN$ conversion charges I was refunded only £102.18, leaving me to pay £6.63 for a mistake that was not mine. As I had never even stayed at Inn on the Harbour and cancelled long beforehand, I did not think I should bear any charges or take responsibility and asked this to be paid back to me. I protested to the hotel but they never contacted me again. I then tried to complain to booking.com. They contacted the hotel at least twice but again no reply. Unacceptable of Inn on the Harbour to do this to me.
The location was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great including the view from the breakfast lounge. The room had all kinds of amenities that I needed.
The wi-fi was quite spotty.
Rien
We rented the " family suite" which advertises as for six people. The room was extremely small, the bathroom was the size of a closet, and the fridge ruined our food. There was hair all over the beds when we first arrived and the toilet hadn't been cleaned. Really disappointing for 300$ a night. The hotel lobby also had a very strong sulfur odor which the staff tried to diffuse with essential oils.
Unfortunately our stay was less than pleasurable. The staff were not friendly at all. Our room was dirty, hair, dust, things on walls. For 250$ a night youre definitely better off with somewhere else.
Tv and breakfast were good
Room window right in front of cars
The hotel is well located and providing you book a room overlooking the harbour it has good views. The room my wife and I had was reasonably spacious with a comfortable bed, but it had inadequate lighting particularly in the bathroom which just had a single rather dim mirror light. The reason I am giving this hotel only 2 stars is largely because of the staff. Some of the front desk staff didn’t come across as welcoming and seemed indifferent towards us as guests particularly when we asked for information. A not inexpensive hotel like this without a restaurant should be able to recommend or at least have a list of local cafes/restaurants for its guests to choose to eat at, but this hotel apparently didn’t. Maybe the attitude of some of the staff was because they hadn't had sufficient training in the hotel business, or perhaps they were just bored and disillusioned with their job. One member of staff who came across as particularly unfriendly and abrupt to the point of being rude was the lady whose job it seemed was to guard the food for the guests’ complimentary breakfast. We got the feeling that she really didn't want us there and she snapped at my wife and I for not putting our used plates, cutlery, and mugs in a washing up bowl on a trolley even though there was so sign indicating that we should do that. On our second morning we decided that we didn’t want another encounter with this lady, so we decided not to have the complimentary breakfast and instead we went to a local coffee shop. Although we had booked for three nights at the Inn on the Harbour, we decided to cancel the remainder of our stay there and move to the Crest Hotel, a few hundred yards along the road, where we spent the rest of our time in Prince Rupert. The Crest is excellent, a bit more expensive than the Inn on the Harbour, but well worth it in my view, not least because it has a very good restaurant. To compare these two hotels is like comparing chalk with cheese.
The room with a harbour view is well worth the splurge. It is a great location near shops and restaurants and about 1 block from the airport shuttle depot.
The parking lot is a little too small.
It’s a nice quiet place to stay when having to stay in Rupert overnight
The property was conveniently located. Premises were always in very clean condition. The property is well maintained. Everything functioned well. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of options. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I liked that the bedding was eco-tex certified, so no harmful chemicals. Also it was nice not to have carpet on the floor. None of my allergies flared while staying there.
I was very satisfied. It was a good place to stay and I would stay there again.
We stayed for four nights in March of 2026, and booked a 2-queen-bed room on the harbor side of the hotel. The room features a magnificent view out over the water below, giving lots of natural light. Blackout curtains and a quiet atmosphere are perfect for a good night's sleep. The beds are very comfortable, with extra pillows and blankets. The heater is quiet and efficient. The free wifi is adequate, if not the world's fastest. The hotel provides complimentary coffee all day long, as well as filtered water. The continental breakfast of fruit, pastries, boiled eggs, cereal, waffles, toast etc. is a good way to ease into the day. Staff are very professional and accommodating. The one caveat is that rooms on the parking-lot side of the building would provide a much different experience. Vehicle noise, headlights coming on mere feet from the window, and a view consisting of those same vehicles is a whole different reality. Spending a few extra dollars makes a huge difference here!
We love the location and the feeling of comfort. We also enjoyed the breakfast and appreciate the cleanliness of the rooms and the fresh smell of the linens. The beds are so comfortable and pillowy soft, the heat works and the fan in the bathroom turns on and the shower head comes off and its adjustable.
Figuring out how to use the tv and explore the channels was a bit frustrating. there's an arm chair but there isnt an office chair, it would be crowded if there was. so we just used the luggage holder as an extra chair because there's three of us. we like to get takeout and eat in so seating is important to us, but we don't mind making do. there was nothing that we didn't particularly like about our stay at all.
this small hotel is user-friendly, nicely equipped and the location on the harbour is picturesque. the breakfast area and client lounge is quiet and we were able to usedit well for working. Lots of coffee available in the lobby - good! the room was comfortable, the shower alittle tricky to figure out and couldn't be adjusted without actually getting wet. the TV system was not user-friendly.
TV system was confusing. Shower would only work on the hand-held appliance and could not be shifted to the overhead. could n't be adjusted without actually getting into the shower and getting wet.
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Vet good location.
Bed was comfy & had wonderful view. Clean & quiet.
Stay was too short!
Location and decor, ambience - cozy.
Location was great. Staff friendly
Heater was extremely loud every time it kicked in. Was awoken multiple times in the night due to this
We recently stayed 2 nights at the Inn on the Harbour. Overall it was a very nice experience. The hotel is older but it was clean, friendly staff and free coffee, water and cookies for guests. We had a lovely room on the top floor, king size bed and view of the ocean. The bathroom is a bit small but fine for 2 people. Our bed was amazingly soft and comfy with awesome pillows and comforter. The hotel offers a continental breakfast but everything is behind a counter so you can't "help yourself". You have to wait to order from a staff person. I have stayed at many hotels and the continental breakfast is always open to guests. I think the Inn should rethink this as it backs up when it gets busy. Overall I would still rate their continental breakfast as good. They also have a great sitting area with a view. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay there again.
Friendly staff ,great location to where I needed to be
Nothing everything is great
Interesting view across harbour
The colours in hallway were a bit too bold for me.
Extremely friendly and competent staff. Being near the bus station needed for the airport transfer was a bonus!
Room had a very odd small and stale air. Drainage in the sink and tub didnt work very well.
Staff were friendly and location is great. Very near a Tim Hortons and other food places. Nice view of Harbour. Nice extras in room like binoculars and a rag for makeup etc. Can’t go higher in the ratings as the value is just there for what you get compared to others. Rooms are def. dated and a bit cramped. It was ok clean but in need of a deep clean. Beds were comfortable Breakfast was continental and manned by one person which caused a bit of a backlog. Seems spread out with self serve might be easier and more efficient. There was a boil water advisory on while there and needed to get drinking and toothbrushing water from the cooler at front. Over all ok but the value for price point was not there.
The room was good. The amenities were good. The check in was awesome. The guy checking people in was amazingly efficient. We got off the ferry late and tired There were loads of people checking in and we expected a long wait, but the man at the counter was awesomely efficient so there was virtually no wait. I was not fond of the way they do breakfast. The food was good, but you have to ask for each item.
after our ferry from port hardy we had booked this hotel to stay at once we got off and glad we did knowing the front desk was open 24/7. we arrive around 2:30am with other passengers and then went off to our room which had comfy beds, great pillows (no lumps) and what was needed in a clean bathroom. only gripe was the continental breakfast which most of it wasn't self serve and a person behind a desk prepared what you wanted...that was odd, but maybe necessary due to most people being slobs.
Convenient to the harbour
Was friendly, accommodating for early clevk in and reasonably clean. Upon closer inspection, the rug and under the rug were filty and had a lot of crumbs. I tried taking a nap after only 2 hrs of sleep the night before, sounded like a heard of elwphants above me. They didnt offer to move me and didnt have any ear plugs. All night i vould hear doors opening and closing loudly and voicea. Very thin walls/doors.
Breakfast was included and there were lots of choices. Trish served us and was very friendly. She helped us plan a walk for the day too.
The room is dated.
The room smelled like smelly feet. I changed rooms and the smell was the same. There was a water restriction in Rupert and you were supposed to boil your water before using it for anything. The front desk charged for bottled water. I paid over 250. for the night and I would have thought they would give you a bottle of water.

Great beds
Toller Service!
Nichts
Like the area. Stunning views.
Zimmer war gut, sehr sauber
Die Empfangsdame bei Ankunft war sehr unfreundlich
View from our room. The breakfast room process - more hygienic this way.
We were not advised of the water advisory. Reception did not seem pleased when i asked for bottled water. Had to supply the water for our room via paper cups at the water dispenser in the lobby. The room rental was overpriced.
Great views and comfortable room. Service was a little abrupt but still the best place to stay in Prince Rupert.
Ok whatever else great local choice. Forgot my wallet/ purse in commotion of leaving after one night on way to Haida gwaii. Notic d in ferry lineup. Freak out. Called hotel manager who kindly got local taxi to rush it over. He zoomed in just n time and wouldn’t take payment. What a great place and town.
Good place after late night ferry arrival. Check in fast efficient and friendly. Breakfast with a view
Enjoyed our stay.
Nice water view - very kind & accommodating to late ferry arrivals - clean room - great shower - comfortable beds - great location - easy free parking - quiet and secure. Binoculars in the room were a nice touch!
Breakfast was limited.
Recently redone comfortable room. Very clean. Staff was great. Friendly and helpful! It was easy to find and we were tired getting off the ferry. Breakfast was good. I liked the breakfast attendant, she knows her stuff!
The bed was a little too soft. The room and bathroom a little small.
Check in was great. Room was comfortable. View was fantastic. The breakfast area was interesting. Access to the breakfast cereals and some bagels premade waffles yogurts and boiled eggs was restricted. A guest had to request the breakfast. Not terrible until 6 folks came in and bottlenecked the breakfast area maybe consider a different approach. Other than that it was really nice very expensive for what it was. Sparkle hills in Kelowna expensive.
