The hotel set up and especially the reception staff who were very helpful.

They ran out of certain beers I prefer.

Located in the heart of town this historical building and restaurant is a lovely, cozy find. Can't praise the staff enough. We arrived later than expected and the staff in both the front and back of house in the restaurant were more than accommodating. But, it's the staff that brings this place to life.

Breakfast arrangements. poor temperature of the coffee added with the cold milk made it a very an annoying issue. Inadequate serving spoons for cereal. Poor placing of toasters. signage for breakfast ingredients.

Reception staff were lovely and friendly, put us in the most amazing room for our anniversary and left a card and brownie which was really generous and thoughtful. We went for food at the restaurant at night and for the free breakfast which was really tasty! Would highly recommend, thank you for a wonderful stay.

Loved the whole stay, car parking straightforward, Lucy on reception was v friendly when we first checked in and all the other ladies on reception were so bright and friendly everytime we passed through the reception area. Our room was great, spacious and warm, lovely big bathroom w choice of roll top bath or seperate walk in shower. The welcome brownies were a lovely suprise. Breakfast was amongst the best we've had, fab continental choice and the cooked options spoilt us. The hotel and its own historical features made our visit for our wedding anniversary v special and one that we will remember.

Excellent range of drink choices on at the bar, but it would have been nice to have at least 1 non alcoholic beer available on draught rather than all bottles or cans.

Some of the day time staff could work on attitude issues. If you’re having a bad day, leave it at home or stay home. This is an exception, however, the lion’s share of employees go all out for their guests.

Gorgeous hotel with beautiful interiors. We had to check out at 6am and they offered us breakfast to go which was waiting for us at reception in the morning, which was so thoughtful.

The room had all the features we needed: air conditioning, a modern bath, TV. The property was old and interesting but felt very modern and up to date.

Bathroom could do with a little tidying in places but didn’t need much. Such as bath panel and other small areas. But still a very clean and nice bathroom. Food was ok but expected better but breakfast was excellent.

The air conditioner did not work in our room and their response was that we could leave and they would refund the room. But it was at that point too late to find another room. They did not offer to comp the room until I basically let them know that would be the right thing to do. They finally did it, the manager never apologized never once came to see the room to see how hot it was. I got the impression that the manager could really care less about our situation. My son was dealing with a foot injury and the whole thought of packing everything up and moving to another hotel was ridiculous. so, we spent the night in a very hot room. I understand that things happen, but usually management is a lot more professional. I did not get that feeling in this particular case.

The room wasn’t cleaned on the second day of our stay. Also the fact that the wrong ket was allocated to someone else and therefore had access to our room.

The bathroom could have been cleaner but was adequate. The room was quite 'cosy' with no draws or shelves to put clothes. The shower seal needs attention as water escapes.

The White Swan will definitely be my hotel of choice next time I’m in Stratford. It’s the perfect experience. The front of the hotel is a timbered building dating back to 1450. The back is modern, beautifully appointed rooms. My room was in the front and I couldn’t have asked for more. The rooms are air conditioned which was a good thing on the very hot days we were visiting. The staff were helpful and very pleasant. The pub/restaurant was also top notch. Can’t wait to come back!

The only unpleasant thing about our visit was it was hot and the ground floor isn’t air conditioned. It’s an ancient building so that’s to be expected. The rooms are air conditioned which helped a lot.

Great historical hotel. We were lucky to get upgraded to the "haunted" room 😁 which we absolutely loved. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was pretty good and location was perfect. We will probably return.

The AC was a bit loud. My partner had to wear som ear plugs. Luckyly there was a pair already in the room. Bit expensive overall, but worth it.

Unser Zimmer hatte ein Fenster, das nicht zu öffnen war. Es war heiß und die mobile Klimaanlage kühlte das Zimmer nicht wirklich ab. Da wir in dem Raum ohne zu öffnendes Fenster übernachten mussten, fühlten wir uns wie in einer Gefängniszelle.

I’ve stayed here many times but this was the first time in the original medieval part of the hotel. The room was very cosy, well decorated and the bed was very comfortable. I ordered room service and the food was delicious.

There was no double glazing and the room was directly above an outdoor drinking area which was very noisy until 11pm. Also the breakfast menu has changed since I last stayed and I preferred the old one.

Lovely place to stay for a short visit in Stratford. The hotel room was very comfy and clean plus cool on these hot Summer nights. Check in was quick and simple and Lucy on reception gave us a great recommendation for a restaurant to try, it was fab - thanks Lucy. Breakfast was lovely and it rounded off a great stay. For sure we will be back!

The room was very clean and comfortable. Location is awesome, close to the station and to all the touristy spots in Stratford upon Avon. Bed was comfy and breakfast was great too! Great spot to stay if you're staying overnight in town.

We stayed in the historic, older part of the hotel, which was great. Especially happy that they figured out how to put air conditioning in a historic building! Location is very good, very close to the Shakespeare Birthplace. We were very impressed with the included breakfast-- buffet for some items and then you also order a hot item from the menu. The restaurant atmosphere (historic character) is great. Friendly staff. I suppose because it's a historic building, once we took the elevator to the upper floor there were still a couple steps up and down as we walked along the corridor to our room, but this was not a problem.

We stayed in the hotel and were very disappointed by very noisy building works on the first floor. Builders were working above our room and there was scaffolding and builders outside of our windows. We felt imprisoned and were unable to relax in our room in the afternoon after a day out in the sun. Avoid this hotel until building work is completed.

Stayed here on the 27 July for wife’s birthday it’s about are 15th time at this hotel and from booking in to checkout absolutely fantastic reception staff are so helpful and friendly food and drink amazing they put a birthday card and chocolate brownies in the room for when we got there and brought us a bottle off prosecco in ice bucket 2 glasses such a lovely touch carnt thank the swan enough be back very soon

Breakfast was OK but not as good as expected. Bits of the pastries and yoghurt were not kept stocked up. The table service was good.

The cooked breakfast wasn't the best. Fried eggs not nicely presented and a bit overcooked. Bacon sometimes very crisp, sometimes not cooked enough. Sausages well cooked but didn't like the taste.

The hottest hotel rooms in the world. The room temperature is controlled centrally and is set very high despite the mid summer heatwave. The temperature panel in your room is only for decoration - fyi. Awful nights sleep.

We loved the location and atmosphere with dedication to white swans and Shakespeare! Darcy at the front desk was especially friendly and welcoming!

The receptionist, on our first evening, was amazing. She went above and beyond what was expected.

I had contacted the hotel regarding my strict diet in advance. The dining room team had no prior knowledge and so my meal was sadly lacking. The fish I was presented with on the second night was overcooked and unapertising. I was left feeling hungry.

Ideal, cosy room with lovely air con which worked well on a horribly hot day. The room was perfectly, the bed was large and comfortable and the Molton Brown products were an unexpected surprise.

No car park may be an issue for some but the one we used was pretty much in the hotel garden and, for us, was reasonably priced.

Reception staff were amazing, super friendly, the room was well appointed with everything you need. Breakfast was very nice with attentive staff in a superb environment.
