Locazione pace e luogo eccezionale e storici Servizio a pranzo e collazione
Servizio pool.
Place is amazing. It’s probably the most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed. Pool was wonderful. Everyone was so nice and kind.
Nothing
So beautiful grounds but were closed for the afternoon because of a wedding. Nobody told us about this before and were followed around by a security guard making sure we did not go into gardens. Room was hot. Had to call front desk to lower AC. Curtains covered the AC vents and no shade on window. Beautiful setting but for $2000.00 a night, they should do better.
This hotel and gardens are what dreams are made of. The breakfast is superb! The views from the hotel are breathtaking. The concierge is amazing. The luggage service was the best we ever experienced.
This hotel checked all of our boxes.
Location and garden, very friendly staff
Very high price for such a very small tiny bathroom. Room was beautiful but also small for the price
We took two rooms for 3 nights having driven in convoy with our daughter and her husband plus a dog from London. It is impossible to park at the hotel or even get near it with a car due to the terrain, but they make every effort to offer advice on secure parking. Everything was in place and the parking company delivered us to the spot where a charming valet collected our luggage and we walked up the quaint and perfumed alleyways to the hotel. What a beautiful, historic hotel set in stunning gardens. With only 19 rooms but a plethora of staff it was a perfect stay. Breakfast, poolside lunch, bar and dinner at Il Flauto di Pan were all perfect. Not over fussy and the flavours clean with wonderfully fresh ingredients. We will be back!
Incredible Location

wonderful location, great staff and amazing food
What an amazing place. It was like staying on a film set. The most beautiful views and grounds. The staff were fantastic. Thoughtful touches in the rooms and the pool was divine. Places to eat are also in walking distance.
Nothing
Beautiful gardens. Morning was spectacular
You expect excellence and they deliver, especially the staff! At every turn, and with every interaction, the excellent staff assisting us at the hotel and restaurants were exceptional. They felt like a family. So very thankful.
We wanted to get a nice lunch in this place that is so beautiful. What a disappointment !!! 3cm of local wine glass. For 38 Euros per unit ( I would not day glass as it was almost empty, proposed to you with a smile.... what an expensive one. Tasteless Risotto with one poor broiled raw scampi. 30 Euro per plate. Stop the shame. Do not enter this place.
First - we were never told about the parking situation. After a brutal drive to the hotel from Paestum we pulled up to where Google Maps told us to drive to. NO HOTEL THERE AND NO SIGN. So we call and they tell us to go park in someplace that is like a town away?!? HUH?? We do not understand this and end up driving thru the tunnel into the town square (FOR 100 EURO FINE). Both of these things are done by hundreds of tourists a year trying to find their way to Villa Jibrone - per numerous conversations after the fact and in reading the reviews online. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT VILLA JIBRONE! We ended up parking at the Oscar Niemeyer Auditorium which was a LIFE SAVER! THEY WERE GREAT THERE and it reminds me to write a wonderful review about them. Thank god for them as we handed them our keys and our luggage completely blindly and walked away in dire need of a cocktail! Second - there was no empathy at the front desk at all for the $hyt show created. They were so over dealing with their guests and that could clearly be seen. There were high maintenance Americans dealing with a wedding that were stressing them out and they had the program to a science. Go sit down below with a welcome prosecco and wait for us to call you. They were just cold as ice and completely clueless as to how the front desk should be run at a high end boutique hotel. We went down to the pool on our own and ordered lunch and the pool worker was so much better than the front desk staff - he clued us in to getting changed and enjoying the pool while we waited. The food there was good and the atmosphere was chill and nice down by the pool. Third - the room was just so below average. The hotel itself is exceptionally nice but the room we got was just crap. I have stayed in hundreds of amazing hotels and we had just been on Amalfi at a wonderful hotel and the room was as disappointing as the whole parking situation. Fourth - the hotel is part hotel part sightseeing destination for the general public. That was our next surprise - as we sat and had lunch any idiot that had paid the admission to the park would walk in and take pictures of the pool and the hotel. So you have that to look forward to as you lie out at the pool - like a monkey in the zoo. Fifth - departure is as stressful as arrival as we needed to catch a flight out early in the morning. But I have to leave you, my reader there, as I have vented long enough. If you have gotten to this point and have read this much you will perhaps find out on your own the departure procedure (especially if it is early am!) GOOD LUCK - Or as they say in Italian - buona fortuna
Also was uns gefallen? ALLES!
Scenic views helpful staff
Exceptional service
Views were great and gardens were lovely, but outside of this the hotel was not great. When we arrived we had to walk up about 15 minutes of stairs to reach the actual hotel entrance. The rooms had AC but were too small to unpack. The staff were not very welcoming and acted almost as if they did not want us there. While using the facilities we felt very rushed, especially when using the pool. The staff at the pool was constantly cleaning up to close down the place even during the hours of operation which felt as if they wanted us to leave and like we were an imposition. They also asked for our room number repeatedly in scenarios in which it was entirely unnecessary, making it seem even less like they wanted us there, and more like they didn’t believe we were guests. Finally, when it was time to leave we had kindly asked the workers at the front desk to have the porter service assist us with our bags. We even had a family member go down to confirm this request 45 minutes prior to our departure. Despite all this, the porter never showed up so we dealt with our baggage by ourselves. He finally showed up 15 minutes later resulting in a late departure. We recomend to visit the gardens, but not to stay overnight.
This is one of my favourite hotels in the world. Sitting on top of a mountain, with stunning views of both the sea and other mountains for miles on end. Pictures don't do it justice, it has to be seen with your own eyes to be truly appreciated. Just be prepared for a short 10 minute hike with stairs to reach the hotel, since there are no direct roads accessible, but your luggage will be taken care of by the hotel porters. The walk to the hotel is a refreshing experience itself, giving you a taste of the Ravello mountain life! The staff were all polite and professional, catering to our every need. We went for our wedding anniversary, and the staff accommodated us at every moment, even opening up their helipad for our pickup during departure. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful escape far away from noise and people!
The Gardens and views
N/A
incredible location, views, resonably priced!
nothing
The view and the city but the property is so overrated. Full of tourists, service crap
Dining was extremely subpar. Took forever, nothing special, they messed up multiple things. Took forever dark in the garden, not that cosy
The experience begins the moment you enter the enchanting medieval building, rich in Norman architectural charm. The atmosphere is steeped in history and elegance, setting the tone for a truly special evening. The staff welcomed us with warmth and professionalism, making us feel immediately at ease We began our evening indoors, surrounded by timeless beauty, and later moved to a table on the terrace. We had the ‘orti e lampare’ menu’ a perfect blend of elegance and flavor, with a clear tribute to local ingredients and the sea. Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious. We enjoyed a sensory journey through taste, history, and landscape. A must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable culinary experience in Ravello.
Incredible venue with extremely efficient staff We were there for a wedding which went perfectly except for a couple of things which considering the size of the celebration can be forgiven Cooking for 100 people can be difficult and I definitely dropped the ball here Extremely expensive, so come prepared but you really have to pay for the privilege of being in such an incredible place Structures like this on clifftops with many staff don’t come cheap If you want to have the most spectacular wedding on earth then have it here Just be prepared for the bottom line Although it’s expensive, I’d say worth every cent
The most spectacular place I have ever stayed. The Villa and the gardens are outstanding. A true slice of heaven!
What an incredibly special place. Everything about our stay was spectacular. The staff was so kind, the rooms were beautiful…. The grounds were absolutely breathtaking.
Sublime
Villa Cimbrone was exceptional! The hotel was gorgeous with amazing views to be had around every corner. The staff was very attentive and worked to anticipate all our needs. I would highly recommend a stay at Villa Cimbrone.
Excellent choices for breakfast. The breakfast is served on a terrace overlooking the Amalfi coast. The location of the hotel is very unique, in the corner of a beautifully manicured old garden perched over the cliff over the Amalfi coast . Absolutely stunning views from all corner of the hotel.
Minor issue- the quality of the cocktails in the pool side bar might need to be revised and improved- we did not feel it was matching the otherwise very high standard’s of the hotel and its restaurants.
What views! Everywhere you look is another of the most beautiful views you’ve ever seen. At breakfast position yourself towards the coast or the gardens or even the beautiful old building and it’s breathtaking. Breakfast itself is a buffet and lovely. Staff very attentive (although the music is a bit special). The deluxe room was smallish and traditional but with a fabulous view worth the upgrade. Staff generally very helpful and friendly Lovely pool although the iron day beds get very very hot and you have to be careful to lie in a straight line and not be too tall lest you sear your skin. However, there seems to be a large wedding on every day, which closes parts of the gardens and even the infinity terrace, and the disco goes on late into the night with little consideration for those trying to sleep There was a small issue with the laundry not being taken away and the shower gel not replaced when empty. The flex on the lamp had exposed wires. However, a lovely stay and quite the best location (a sweaty walk to get there but your luggage is taken care of in the buggies, so it’s not too bad really)
Everything before our arrival, from making the reservation to liaison over arrival and transfer of bags to the hotel was exceptionally professional and made to seem very easy. The hotel is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the start of the pedestrianised historical centre of Ravello so you meet the hotel’s porter there who arranges transfer of your bags and provides you with a map of the walking route to get there. Of itself this was an enjoyable experience. Check in is straightforward and we were provided with a choice of welcome drink. As expected, due to the time of our arrival, our room wasn’t ready but it didn’t take long and bags were waiting for us in the room. Room facilities were very good, as you’d expect. The only negative was that there is no ability to make yourself a cup of coffee (or tea) which seems increasingly unusual in today’s world. Staff were super helpful and organised a restaurant booking for us in Ravello and then an onward car transfer on our departure. There is a beautiful bar area, with garden, that affords sea views. Also the house is in a beautiful public garden which opens at 09:00 but as residents you can explore this in the peace and quiet before opening. Whilst the gardens are open to the public we had no disturbance to our stay from that dynamic. There is a small, but well equipped, gym which is to the side of a lovely pool area. The pool area has a bar service during the day. The hotel is home to a Michelin starred restaurant. That is reviewed separately. I would note that this hotel seems to be particularly popular with American visitors and also acts as a wedding venue.
The views are absolutely stunning and the building and gardens are full of traditional old school Italian charm, the food and selection of wines was amazing, living up to it's Michelin recommendation. Some reviewers had mentioned the 10m walk to the hotel from the town of Ravello, we found this to be a very pleasant experience, a lovely walk through Ravello after lunch. There was a wedding on while we there, but this just added to the charm in our opinion.
Nothing really, I will definitely stay here again and for longer, the only issue is how busy and tight the Amalfi coastal road is, but that's nothing to do with the hotel.
Beautiful gardens and service. Friendly and attentive staff. The hotel itself is the biggest attraction in the town so it’s cool to stay at it. Stunning experience overall. It’s a bit of a trek to get to, but definitely worth it. The views are breathtaking.
Great property and close to a lot of restaurants and shopping. Staff was great and very beautiful and clean property. Amazing views too of the Amalfi.
Beautiful old building Stunning location Lovely restaurant staff Traditional interiors felt like someone’s home The view The gardens
Nothing
Breakfast was very good and the staff very helpful. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The garden next door was beautiful and stunning views.
Swimming pool too cold Not comfortable bar area and disappointing snack food Expensive resturant and food not Michelin star standard. The hotel should have an additional restaurant for lunches and dinners. Guests should be warned ghey have to walk uphill to reach the hotel No drink service at the pool
Beautiful hotel, did not know until we arrived that you could not get there by car. You must walk 20 min up! This also means if you want to eat you will need to walk to restaurant/hotels in other locations. They do have a gelato/snack restaurant pretty close, and a Michelin star rated restaurant for dinner ($$$$$) but other than that you’ll be walking a bit. Very pretty, very elegant though.
Beautiful garden and comfortable rooms and very good breakfast
Reception nit very good.. not much lunch on offer snack dinner very moderate Room service too expensive and no coffee/tea provided in rooms .. lack of comfortable places to sit in the hotel.. bar area not comfortable ... outside sitting good
Fantastic !! My wife and I spent 5 nights in August and this is the only Hotel in Italy we will ever go to. Every detail was perfect from the General Manager Donato, The Maitre d Raymando, Waitresses and Waiter Rosana, Danielle and Salvador were such wonderful folks and treaded us so special. Their attention to detail along with the incredible food, was wonderful. The rooms are very spacious, air conditioned and beautiful..Our Luggage manager Armando was also such a pleasure to communicate with and his professionalism and personality was special. I wanted to thank everyone for your service, attention to detail and the friendly demeanor all of you gave to us to make lifelong memories and friends !. We cant wait to come back next year and see everyone again !! Please if you want to stay in the best Hotel with incredible views, beautiful rooms and perfect staff I would not even consider any other Hotel. Thank you all again for making our stay so enjoyable ! Rick and Wendy USA / TEXAS
We loved Villa Cimbrone overall. It is a bit of a walk from the centre of town up and down lots of steps so not great for those less fit but we loved it. There is no vehicular access except bu the tiny electric buggy which serve the town which is mostly pedestrianised. The hotel staff were so cheery and helpful. The location is romantic and sensational. The buildings are very atmospheric and the views stunning. The hotel is all you might expect from a very high end establishment with an excellent reputation. The service is superb and breakfast is a masterpiece. I find myself somewhat uncomfortable and embarrassed when the waiters insist on carrying my plate of toast or bowl of fruit up the half dozen steps between the buffet area and the dining terrace. This is a bit of added service, perhaps a bit too far, but it does really make you feel like royalty! The hotel is very expensive but is worth it for the way it makes you feel so special. If I had to highlight one issue which impacted negatively on our stay and drops the rating from five to four is is this. Ravello seems to have become the wedding capital of the world. People are getting married everywhere and Villa CImbrone is no exception. We were kept awake until midnight one night by an excessively loud live band. I mentioned this in the morning and received an apology but I do think some form of recompense would have been in order for this. It was not a good night's sleep. This aside Villa CImbrone is fabulous, with a price tag to match.
The place was clean, the service fine but this nowhere NEAR a five star hotel. The room was outdated and I could hear everyone in the halls until late at night. I arrived through the garden and was barked at until they realized I was trying to check in. It’s not an awful place but it is WAY overpriced for what you get.
stunning location, beautiful grounds, amazing dinner
Simply amazing . Great staff . Very quiet place far away from the ferry crowd
Too short stay :)
Everything was to perfection!
The garden was lovely. Breakfast on the terrace was gorgeous because of the view. Garden view Room was only okay. It was small, had one draped window, old furniture. Bed was comfortable. Dinner at Flauto di Pan was tasty but lasted too Long for us.
The view from the restaurant terrace is the main event here - it’s heavenly! The climb from the village center (where we were staying), helps work up a good appetite, but sadly the food didn’t live up to expectations. We started with the local tomato and mozzarella salad - cheese was delicious, but the tomatoes were under ripe and disappointing. They should be glorious in late summer, but they were hard and had little flavor. Maybe it’s been a rainy summer this year… one of us ordered the mixed seafood girl and that was very good, but I ordered the red prawn and fennel risotto. Ok, to be scrupulously fair, risotto is not at all a local dish - it’s much more a northern Italian dish - but this was so bland and boring, that even dousing it with EVOO and seasoning failed to liven it up. There was zero discernible flavor of fennel, and only about a teaspoon of shrimp atop the dull, but creamy rice. Still, the cocktails were excellent, ditto the crisp local Ravello white wine, and service was also very good. Although the food was disappointing, we still really enjoyed our lunch - life is good with a gorgeous view and good wine!
Stayed here for the weekend. It was a pretty upsetting experience. Pros: this is a beautiful property with amazing views. Probably the prettiest site in Ravello, and definitely worth a visit to the gardens which are open to the public. Cons: -the bedrooms are tiny, drab, and extremely outdated. For $1,000 a night, a complete and total ripoff. The walls were scuffed, the shower leaked all over the floor, and the bed was two very uncomfortable twin mattresses pushed together and it kept breaking in the middle of the night. It was very difficult to sleep due to the terrible beds. -It’s really a hassle to get in and out of here. There is no parking or even a road to the hotel. You have to pre-arrange for the hotel to meet you almost a mile away to pick up your bags, and then walk to the hotel. Expect the whole thing to take about an hour upon arrival before you get to your room with your bags. -They nickel and dime you for everything. At $1000 a night you expect at least the basics to be included. But everything here is an insane extra charge. They even charge to deliver each item of luggage you arrive with to your room, even down to a small backpack! Just steaming two suits was 120 euros, and they don’t allow you to have an iron or steamer to do it yourself. And they don’t tell you upfront that there will be charges. -Worst of all is the staff. We’ve never been treated so rudely. Your presence is rarely even acknowledged and they treat you like they are annoyed you are there spending $1000 a night. They ruined my brand new suit at the laundry with stains and then tried to claim the stains were already there and that I was lying. Fortunately I took pictures before sending off the suit so was able to prove they caused the stains. Still they were so strangely rude about the whole thing, and tried to charge us anyhow for the steaming! The staff is totally rotten from the general manager down. I have never been treated so poorly at a hotel in my life. The owners of this hotel should hire new management and give the rooms the renovations they desperately need. It’s a shame to see such a beautiful property ruined by bad rooms, bad beds, and bad management. Until they do, avoid at all cost.
Beautiful surroundings. Incredible service at breakfast. A very long hike to hotel for those people who are not young . Great place for capp. in the park
We stopped here for drinks on the terrace after visiting the gardens. We had a wonderful time. The drinks were expensive but the staff brought water first which was so needed in the heat, and then antipasti (mini pizza balls and anchovy bruschetta) so it felt in the end like good value. The setting is beautiful, there was perfect service and a lovely vibe, with a pianist playing beautifully too
Fantastic views and attention to detail in the hotel and room.
Very difficult to find and no instructions sent telling us where to park which was out of the town. Then charged us an extra 50 euro for transfer in. The pool is not great and definitely not an infinity pool. Michelin star restaurant good but taking mickey with some of the prices or 26 euro for a bottle of water!
I had a dinner yesterday with my family at the mediterranean restaurant at Villa cimbrone. Very disappointed by the services rendered in such a type of establishment. Very unpleasant hospitality (perhaps you need to pay for a smile!) and so expensive for small portions and it was only pasta. I do not recommend this restaurant at all and I regret my choice.
The property is amazing, and the staff has been simply fantastic.
The location was exceptionally beautiful. The views were gorgeous, hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful. The service was great, the food delicious. It’s unlike any other place in Amalfi, it’s not crowded with tourists, very serene atmosphere in the whole of hotel.
No spa, however it’s not that big of a deal.
breakfast and server staff excellent .
The room was a little small
I recently stayed at Villa Cimbrone for three nights, and unfortunately, my experience did not live up to the expectations set by the hotel's price point. While the hotel grounds and the town are undeniably beautiful, several issues significantly impacted our stay. Despite the delicious breakfast, the overall service was poor. The pool service was particularly disappointing—no one offered us water, food, or towels, and we had to get everything ourselves. The rooms were outdated, and our bathroom flooded, which added to the inconvenience. The baggage cart to get up to the hotel was 40 minutes late, and no one was answering the phone. When we finally arrived, the staff claimed the phones were working fine and even asked us to check our phones. We also requested a third bed since we were three people, and it was incredibly uncomfortable. It felt like sleeping on a wooden plank and resulted in the worst three nights of sleep I've ever had. Additionally, there was no coffee machine in the room, which is surprising for a hotel of this supposed standard. We had to call room service because there was no water in the room, and instead of promptly rectifying the situation, they asked if we had already checked the minibar. The luggage service is unreliable and can significantly delay your plans. I've heard of people missing their flights due to this issue, and there's an extra charge if you need to leave before 7 a.m. At the end of the day, the villa is beautiful, and you can go there f
I stayed for 3 nights in April. I am disabled (crutches) and the staff gave me thorough information on the rooms when I booked so I could choose something suitable. I chose a third floor room with a walk-up balcony for the sea view and was really pleased with my choice. There was a lift to 3rd floor so the only steps were to my balcony. Staff very kindly brought breakfast to the hotel terrace/bar since my crutches don’t work for a buffet. Delicious breakfast in the most beautiful setting. I already knew from a prior garden visit years before that the walk to Cimbrone is challenging but hotel provided information before my arrival about a local gentleman who can transport a visitor in a buggy (photo 3). I was happy to pay for this service that made the hotel/gardens reachable and once I was there I paid for an extra trip to/from the village to visit the other famous Ravello garden. Because of my crutches I knew the only way I could properly see the garden was to stay on the premises and go back and forth between hotel and garden, which worked very well. It also gave me garden access before and after garden opening hours. I would definitely stay again and April was a nice month to visit - the garden was already pretty and away from the famous terrace the gardens were very quiet. Everything wonderful - hotel, staff, garden. Yes, expensive - but worth it.
Visited the villa and grounds a few days ago , whilst the gardens and views are beautiful the nice experience stops there . The pool water was not clean and no service whatsoever from staff . You are left to your own devices with getting towels , deck chairs , umbrellas and any kind of drink service is just non existent. We had lunch at the Mediterranean restaurant which was the worsed I have ever experienced in my life . Food was cold and tasteless, had to return for them to be reheated much to the chefs annoyance we could tell which actually made us feel very uncomfortable to eat the food once reheated and given back to us . Not a 5 star hotel , no customer service what so ever , even after several emails to the manager explaining our experience, still no responce . If you must visit just do the gardens , don’t bother staying here it’s just not worth it . Definitely not 5 star !!!!!

Given the high price, I expected much more from Villa Cimbrone, and I believe you could find better value elsewhere
Best hotel you could ever stay at. Breakfast is amazing, don’t waste your money on the Michelin restaurant it is well below average.
Very much enjoyed our stay here, relaxing and beautiful and food was delicious!
View and Gardens
Everything (from down to top) everything was really bad..
Views and garden
Co access by car, you need 15 minutes up and down the hill to walk to any destination you could need..
Such an amazing hotel
The hotel is beautiful, the apartment is extremely comfortable, each room, each corridor is beautiful, especially the ceramic floors, which are beautiful. The gardens are a highlight in themselves, much more beautiful than in the photos, we went in autumn, I was imagining what it would be like in spring.
I missed a heated pool and a better gym.
Location amazing Lived up to high expectations …a real Wow!!!! Staff amazing …room gorgeous .. loved the pool and gardens
The view from our room (we had the Greta Garbo) was magnificent, however for €2500 a night, you’d expect the toilet seat to be working and sufficient blinds/curtains to block out light from the window right next to the bed at the very least? Apart from the loud music till midnight due to weddings (I’ve been told there is a wedding every day this week), it is absurd that while using the hotel’s pool facilities, we have constantly been asked by wedding photographers to move so they can get the ‘perfect shot’. Call me old-fashioned but I believe that hotel guests should always be prioritised and not be disturbed in this instance - sadly, hotel staff seem to give precedence to wedding guests etc over hotel guests. I’ve never written a bad review on a luxury hotel but this place has really left a bad taste in my mouth.
Very beautiful and felt privileged to stay there. A bit of a trek if you aren’t mobile. Gorgeous breakfast. Wasn’t enamoured with the incredibly expensive dinner. Wasn’t really worth the money. But I’m glad to have stayed there and experienced it once.
Stayed at Villa Cimbrone for a wedding. Wedding venue and grounds are wonderful. Hotel is complete opposite. So many factors go into poor review: AC in room could not keep room cool, room safe was not secured in the closet (you could literally pick up entire safe and walk out!), septic smell in bathroom, power went out several times throughout our 2 day stay, when power would go out at night, a bright emergency light would come on, trying to arrange luggage transfer was an ordeal, service and hospitality were almost nonexistent. Management was no help. I would not expect this from any hotel, much less a hotel that charges €2000 a night. Visit the gardens, stay at another hotel in the Ravello area.
Stunning villa in beautiful gardens, staff very welcoming, nice Pool area, beautiful room, lovely welcome gift and complimentary non alcoholic mini bar, lovely lunch and dinner. Friendly, helpful sommelier.
Breakfast. Coffee was awful. Stayed once before, years ago and had a wonderful experience at breakfast, so good it made me come back. A wonderful lady had bought me out beautiful pastries and anything I’d wanted, But this time it was a poorly stocked buffet, the apple juice had gone off and the bread was disappointing . The staff were lovely and tried hard but were uncoordinated, coffee took forever to come and then had no taste. Others waited an age too for their hot drinks. Beautiful view but a shame they changed the original set up.
Perfect start to our honeymoon. Hotel is stunning and truly 5*. First room was small #28 and disappointing but we were offered for a just a little more room #15 Dahlia which was perfect. The grounds are breathtaking. You need to be fairly fit to stay in Ravello (many steps) but it was a dream come true.
Classic beautiful Ravello villa. We'd visited before but never stayed, and the views are as stunning as ever. Breakfast was good but sadly upstaged by the hotel we'd stayed in the previous few days. The view from the breakfast terrace is stunning. The hotel in general is impressive and attractive. We were very impressed by the bar adjacent to the restaurant, lovely setting and the staff there were friendly and pleasant.
While historically impressive, we didn't find the villa super comfortable as a hotel. We'd been wowed by the gardens on a previous visit to Ravello and returned as part of our honeymoon as a 'special treat'. Sadly we were disappointed. It's nice enough but (for us) not worth the hefty price tag. Just little things like not being allowed to use the air conditioning. The very fancy and expensive restaurant also sadly didn't quite live up to expectations. We will certainly return to Ravello, i would happily visit the Cimbrone gardens again and i'm glad to have experienced a stay there, but we will not be staying again.
