This was absolutely the best experience of my life! It was worth every penny! We had the most phenomenal stay with the best staff and the food was amazing. I would recommend this place a thousand times over !
We normally do not take the time to write a review but this was such an exceptional trip. The first day we arrived we were greeted immediately and taken to the reception area where we were treated 1st class. We asked for an upgrade and the personnel at the counter were extremely accommodating. During the 1st evening we met an employee “Saul” who manages the entertainment. He was so helpful walking us around the property and showing us where the restaurants were located. Throughout the week he helped us with so many things that were not in his job description but his consistent message was he was here to help! He helped make this trip an incredible vacation. We also decided to pay for the Hyatt Club upgrade which we were pleased with. Every morning Wilin, who was actually security, helped us get set up around the pool, again, not his responsibility but he did it with a big smile. Jose the club bartender and Jose the club pool area attendant were also super gracious. We ate at the Club Shutters restaurant several times. Our waiter, Bryon, was exceptional and Chef Enoc even came out to make sure everything was prepared to our liking. The manager also stopped by to check on us. The food was amazing at all the restaurants and so much variety. We always had plenty to choose from. The gym is the best gym we have ever experienced and we travel the world. The gym instructors, Fendi and Jose’ were great! At the pool, Dio and Manuel did a great job with activities in and out of the pool. My favorite activity was the “Make and Take” at 3:30 everyday. Leon was great here. I can’t say enough about the staff at this facility. One of the manager upfront walked to the Ziva cafe shop just to get me pistachio ice cream. I insisted I went with her of course. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating. Even Darling, the Rooms Division Manager took time out of her day to see how our trip was going. We could really kick back and relax. We did not have to worry about dinner reservations or anything. We were originally scheduled to stay six nights and we extended to nine. We are already planning to return next year.
This was my second time staying at this resort. The first time was in 2019 before Covid and the service was top anotch. That was not the case this time around. Everything from service, entertainment to hospitality went down hill. Food was okay, nothing special, staff were not always pleasant. Limited entertainment, after dinner there was nothing to do! I remember in 2019 there were themed shows nightly, and multiple bars in the resort to have a drink or go dancing. I was very, very disappointed with my experience and will not be returning to this resort. The experience was not worth the price.
Don’t like being scouted for membership.
Our swim-up Double room
Our room needed to be updated, remodeled would have made the room perfect..
The location of the hotel was great the staff were great and very helpful. I had room service for 2of my meals because I was tired and found this to be the best choice for me. I had one meal in the restaurant and I got what I requested the Resturante staff were great including the chef who prepared the meal.
I didn’t like the overall cleanliness of the place. The carpooling in the hallway were not very pleasant. I understand it is difficult in a highly trafficked area to keep the place clean however something can be done about it.
That there were no kids
The staff was friendly and very helpful
THE STAFF!!!!!
paying a delivery fee for room service
Pésima experiencia, no recomendable!
I visited Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall in Montego Bay in late October 2025 for what was meant to be a short four-day getaway. Just two days after we arrived, Hurricane Melissa rapidly intensified into a Category 5 storm, forcing all flights to be canceled and leaving us stranded for 11 days. Even in the midst of chaos, the Hyatt Zilara team demonstrated true leadership, compassion, and professionalism. General Manager Adrian Whitehead and his staff communicated updates clearly, prioritized guest safety, and worked tirelessly to restore services. Although we temporarily lost Wi-Fi, running water, and air conditioning, Wi-Fi was restored within 24 hours and water within 48–72 hours. Throughout it all, we were continuously provided hot Jamaican meals, drinks, and entertainment to keep guests calm and comfortable. What stood out most was the resilience and kindness of the staff. Though ALL staff was wonderful, I want to give special thanks to employees like Callela, Unique, Seanah, and Ro who continued to serve guests with smiles, even while facing uncertainty about their own families and homes. Their warmth and grace truly embodied the spirit of Jamaica. Once travel resumed, the hotel arranged safe transportation for us to Kingston, nearly three hours away, so we could finally fly home. Hyatt’s coordination and support during such a stressful time made all the difference. I am deeply grateful for the care and humanity shown by everyone at Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall. They turned a frightening experience into a reminder of what hospitality really means. If I ever return to Jamaica, this is the only place I’ll stay. 💚🇯🇲
We arrived about a week before hurricane Melissa and got stranded there. Great facility and staff helped us survive, and continued to provide the best services they could offer during that time. I give two thumbs up to this resort and the Hyatt Corporation.
It was my 50th birthday getaway. I booked a king room with an ocean view. When we arrived we checked in. They confirmed the room. When we get upstairs to the room. We enter and it has two queen beds. Didn’t look as pictured. I contacted my travel agent about the room. It was a huge room. He messaged me back and said they gave me a free upgrade to the jr suite. They wanted to do a king but it wasn’t available. That was the best birthday gift ever!!!! The next night there was a knock at the door. It was a bottle of wine two glasses and a slice of cake with a birthday card. As soon as there back up and running next year I will definitely be going back.
My wife and I just visited the Hyatt Zilara/Ziva property in October, right before the hurricane. We were there one week prior to Hurricane Melissa, and will talk about the great experiences that we had, and the beauty of the property. I really enjoyed the 2 in 1 feeling of this property as we stayed in the Zilara side in a swim up junior suite but had access to the Ziva side as well. Most of the food was on the Ziva side anyways which wasn’t a problem for us. Everything about the resort, including the people, the vibes, the atmosphere and beauty of the island, was truly spectacular. Donjay at the pool bar held it down, kept the party going. Sharon and Tanieka at the Zen Spa gave us the best couples massage we’ve ever had. Sharon gave us a great price (special deal) for the Pimento Bamboo massage, which my wife and I would both highly recommend. The spa itself was also beautiful. We went parasailing as well right off our resort for a great price. The food I would rate about 9/10 overall. Plenty of options are available. Two nights before our departure, the whole building that our room was in lost AC. We received a note under our door stating the air would be out and take 48 hours to restore. We received a call shortly thereafter from Kay, Director of Relations for Hyatt who was able to offer us another swim up room, ready for us to check into right away, along with resort credit for the inconvenience and a refund on the difference in room rates, as we would be downgrading from a swim up junior suite to a swim up king room. It was no inconvenience for us, really, but the resort staff was very helpful during this time. We know that the property just underwent some damage from Hurricane Melissa. We pray for those workers and people of Jamaica. They have the best spirit and did a great job during the hurricane as we followed along on social media. We were happy to see the resilience of the Jamaican people and how they tried to make light during the darkness. Hyatt Zilara and Ziva Rose Hall will forever be loved and we are excited to come back in the future!
I had the pleasure of travelling to this beautiful resort twice in 2025. We went as a girl’s trip in March to celebrate a milestone birthday with some friends who had never been to Jamaica and returned again in October with my daughter to teach yoga. Both groups were blown away by the resort, staff and food. The property itself is beautiful with gorgeous landscaping everywhere. Pools on both sides were perfect but we spent most of our time at the beach. Ziva is more calm due to the breakwall. We had no problems securing a lounger anywhere and had really quick drink service at both pools and beach. Food was excellent at all the restaurants and we didn’t ever have to wait in lines. The fitness facility is huge and fully equipped. We loved it. The resort itself is worth the trip but where this hotel really shines is the staff. Both trips we felt so spoiled and had fun chatting with the staff. They went above and beyond in every way. We had to leave just as the hurricane was rolling in, and the staff was still going the extra mile for the guests.. In all of my trips to Jamaica (this was #15), this was the kindest and warmest staff. . If you are considering this hotel, you’re making the right choice. I look forward to returning once they have reopened. One Love .
I think it’s somewhat unfair because a hurricane came near the end of our stay, but the hurricane didn’t break our bathroom door or cause some of the other issues that we had with our shower, water or food. However most of the staff were very nice
You will not be disappointed. The staff here is amazing. They are very attentive and exceed your needs and expectations.
Resort was beautiful customer service with extraordinary idea have a butler cow and prince they were great young helpful with restaurant recommendations anything that was needed I feel loose so the resort needs to come up with the other activities for the adult part of the resort because there was nothing really to do after dinner on Adult side.
definitely don’t think it will be somewhere we will come back. I feel like we have had to pay for a lot like room service, certain things off the menu, and the cabanas and spa on top of requiring a $300 deposit as soon as you check in. and at the beach they don’t have people taking care of the things you need and were kinda rude about things and we didn’t really know where anything was and half the restaurants have been closed idk for it to be labeled “all inclusive” it’s not all inclusive.
Don't waste your money--there are better places to go. Not much beach. The pool is loud. The food and drink are subpar. I would recommend going somewhere else.
Tropical Storm Melissa coming and because I went to hotel website and booked directly then Hyatt cannot help me with my reservations, I have to hold to talk to the reservations desk directly at the hotel so I do not recommend booking with the hotel because of this even if they say that’s what you should do to get better rates. You can only get a full refund on your reservation if the airport MBJ closes (which they have 24hrs to do so within a hurricane)or if the flight is cancelled. Today is Friday 24 I’ve been emailing the concierge all week about cancellation and now rescheduling so I don’t just lose my money however they have added reservations to the email and I still not have heard from them. I do not want to go for 5days of rain and be worried about a hurricane coming. You would think for the safety of the employees and guests that Hyatt would make this easier. I’m still on hold and will be posting how long I’ve been on hold but they close at 5pm today. I’m also worried if we did go here Sunday that the airport or Delta would not be able to get us out of there on Friday am. I don’t like putting my safety in other peoples hands. Everyone I talk to keeps saying that they can’t predict the weather and yes I know that but no one can predict my safety either with a hurricane on the way. I was on hold for 30mins waiting for the Zilara reservation desk and I just got hung up on!!!!
Hyatt Zilara is a beautiful resort, and having access to Hyatt Ziva is an added bonus! I made dinner reservations with the concierge desk right after checking in. Jerk Hut was my favorite dining spot! The pools and beach were both fantastic. The atmosphere was perfect for us. I already miss it!
The food was amazing, the ocean view, the beach and being in Jamaica was amazing. Unfortunately, the resort was outdated. The room was not the cleanest, the floors appeared dirty, and the bed was not very comfortable. Seems like an average resort to my husband and I.
The stay at Hyatt Zilara was a wonderful experience. Beautiful atmosphere and ambiance. Looking forward to my next trip
Great experience from arrival to departure. The Butler Suite is incredible, food was good and there was a great mix of entertainment options as well as quite spaces if you wanted to simply relax and unwind.
Great experience, far exceeded my expectations! They upgraded us to an ocean view suite with three butlers! After this experience I never want to travel without butlers service again!! lol
This place is not worth the money. The food is terrible, the staff is not hospitable, and the entertainment is severely lacking. The beach and pools are nice but there is only 1 swim up bar for both sides of the resort. Id say if youre looking for an all inclusive, check out any of the places in Mexico. They are not only less expensive, but also significantly more enjoyable. Also BEWARE: if you book airport pickup through the front desk, make sure its through the company on-site. The employee sent us one of their friends instead and it was very sketchy.
Location of resort is 20 minutes from airport and close enough to main street and harbor street to venture down to. Atmosphere is great, the resort really focuses on presentation, cleanliness, and customer service and it is noticeable. The ocean area is by far my favorite part about the resort. The water is shallow and has rocks to break any waves coming in but waters are really really calm for most part. The one thing I will remember most about our trip was the Jamaican people and workers at resort. My wife and I have traveled all over the carribean and the Jamaican vibe and commitment to making you feel welcomed and their love is unmatched. They are genuinely generous and humble people. We will Def be back.
The service, entertainment and facilities were all above and beyond. And LGBT friendly. We will definetely return to this location.
Great stay grounds are beautiful food good beach area was great.
Beautiful property! Great staff 10/10
Staff was great
The view was amazing. The only thing I didn’t really like is entertainment didn’t start until Wednesday and my trip was from Monday through Thursday but overall I had a great time.
The staff were very attentive, professional, fun and attentive. The swim up bar was fun, the views were amazing and the food was fantastic!
Rooms are nice but dated. An upgrade should be in the works.
Honestly the place is really nice but the staff especially Tiana ( I hope that’s correct spelling) she at the front desk when checking in makes everything just amazing . I had a swim up and loved it . I do think the family side is nicer & the pool is bigger than the adult side but everything was nice
The staff was wonderful. Lots of food options. Pool bar was super fun. Guests had a good vibe. Great place. Donjay is the best at the pool bar. Go see John at the cigar shop. Such a cool guy.
Property need renovation it’s clean
Cons: I disagree with the 5-star rating. While the rooms are acceptable, they are extremely humid, and there was a strange smell coming from the AC vents. Additionally, the hallway carpets are filthy, showing clear signs that they haven't been replaced in quite some time. The food options were decent, but at every restaurant we visited, they were almost always out of something or missing ingredients. I also noticed that room service trays were left outside doors; for instance, a guest next to me left their tray out at night, and it was still there in the morning. While this may not be a concern for everyone, to me, it's a red flag—potentially indicating a roach problem. Lastly, the hallways leading to the rooms have an odd smell, and the lighting is quite dim. Pros: resort's outdoor areas are beautiful, and I spent most of my time there. I loved the beach, the pool, the swim-up bar, and the entertainment. The staff provided excellent service, showcasing great Jamaican hospitality. The spa is outstanding as well. I had a massage overlooking the beach, and it was amazing. The spa facilities are very clean, and the staff there is incredibly friendly. To sum it up, I would definitely stay here again. Personally, when I'm on vacation, I only use my hotel room for sleeping. However, if you prefer spending more time in your room or plan to stay for an extended period, I would not recommend it. For me, the beauty of the resort's outdoor spaces outweighed any drawbacks I noticed..
The staff was veery friendly and professional. The compound was very safe and comfortable. Food was good. My only complaint was it was very loud and noisy outside until quite late at night every night, and you couldn't turn down or block the sound.
Great hotel and staff
Beautiful resort
Enjoyed the views, food and people
Clean beautiful rooms and great staff services
I heard so many wonderful things about this resort but must admit I was somewhat disappointed in our room. It was a but dated yo say the least. Honestly I would have expected and would have liked a more modernized room considering we selected a swim out room. Another thing we were not use were the cost of food items in the restaurant whereas every other place we have traveled was definitely ALL INCLUSIVE. One of our days there we were not greeted with a server for breakfast so that too was disappointing. I will honestly say that another those hiccups were disappointing, this doesn’t deter us from visiting again prayerfully with at least the accommodation of a modern room. The food was delicious and as stated in many reviews. Shoutout to Nesha in Urban Eatz and Chaze our poolside server and another bartender (something McCoy) we called him the REAL MCCOY. Their level of service was definitely top tier
I loved everything about the resort. The staff was super helpful, food at many locations around the resort, stocked mini bar and my room was spacious and beautifully decorated with marble in the bathroom. I recommend staying here!
This property is the Carnival Cruise of resorts! The food was TERRIBLE! The majority of the staff had a bad attitude! The only positive thing I can say is about our server at the pool area - “Ms. Tony D” was AMAZING! She was the bright spot in this vacation and saved this review from being one star!
This was a beautiful, peaceful resort. My only complaint is there was no warning of the $300 incidental deposit that takes 15-21 days to go back into your account.
The best all inclusive resort I’ve been to. The staff were all great, super supportive, and very friendly. The food exceeded my expectations. Everything I ate was good. The property was beautiful and the entertainment at the pool was so fun! Can’t wait to come back.
The room smells terrible, staff very unfriendly, food poor taste,
Property was awesome. Everything was clean and staff was great.
Everything was amazing. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. The beach was clean and peaceful. Always good food options to choose from. I had a great time, and I will definitely be back!
I fully recommend the hotel is the best. The staff is so good. I will go back there.
Overall a good time was had. Clean place. Food was 6/10
The atmosphere and the staff made everything so much more welcoming
Great
The food was good and the staff were friendly
The entertainment could have been better
The resort was amazing 1000/10
Beach view, room was comfortable
Awesome💛🌴🌞
Everything🌞🌴💛
I will definitely be back again I love this place the best
Toni D and Angeleta were amazing staff when we rented our cabanas.
I was there for 2 nights and i enjoyed my stay. Awesome staff. Room was and comfortable bed.
Loves the resort it was wonderful probably needs a bit of paint but otherwise wodnerf
Great property. Friendly staff. The beach view was not the greatest, it was partial view.
This was an awesome place to stay. Jamaica and Zilara was great.
The overall stay was nice but the early closing of the pool bar and lack of entertainment/music on the adults only side was disappointing.
Excellent! Swim up rooms are very luxurious and worth every penny
Not enough daily or nightly entertainment. Until the resort fixes this, they will be light years behind other resorts. For the price, I expected better. Buffets were good, restaurants were not. Very dull at night. Very small lobby where people just sit and listen to piano or music. No excitement. All restaurants on family side except 1. It makes sense you get access to the other side, if you didn’t you wouldn’t have anywhere to eat honestly.
I absolutely loved it, I came here for my boyfriend’s birthday it was a surprise, he also loved it, staff is very friendly and nice. The only thing I did not liked was I don’t feel like there’s much going on, it is very quiet which is nice but if you want a bit more fun or nightlife they don’t have. Otherwise I would definitely recommend, their food is delicious by the way!
We had a really great time!!!! Lovey small resort with everything you need on the resort and close to the attractions.
Everything
I loved everything about this property. My only complaint is that the rooms could use some updating as well as lightning.
I had a great time and I can’t wait to go back
The cups for the adults could be larger
I had the view of the gym. I will be making modifications to my jext trip. I will make sure I have a better view. I did have a good view despite not upgrading. It was of beautiful landscape. Had the word LOVE and landscaping staff made a flag of Jamaica.
Nice views and quiet, relaxing resort
I like the all inclusive and adult-only. I didn't like that I paid for an oceanview room; but didn't get one. However, I was given a room sooner than originally planned.
Everyone was extremely nice and accommodating . The food was great I will be back. And I definitely recommend.
I only got my bed made ONCE during my whole stay. I had to get beach towels to use after a shower because I never got new and clean towels. My trash was never taken out and my towels began to pile up on the floor due to slow room service
It was such a pleasure staying here with our family and other relatives. We had the most amazing servers and other staff. At dinner we had Atasha and Sandra, on the beach we had Renaldo as our Cabana Butler, at Calypzo Sharlene and Shantel and Trisanne were spectacular. At the front desk, Kimberly was just awesome. Duty Manager Paul was super helpful and accommodating. We will surely return to this property and are truly appreciative of everything and everyone that made this trip memorable.
Beautiful resort and I will definitely be returning
I'll keep it short and sweet - 10/10
This is connected to the family hotel. So if you want adults only, this is not the place. Most restaurants are on the family side.
Nothing but amazing, calm but the entertainment is great. Clean and very friendly staff all around
Loved it
I’m not happy with the property my daughter was supposed to come with me, bust she was electrocute by lighting through her working computer, her job is the location where the incident took place, she couldn’t join me on the trip and she didn’t come on the resort. When ask for an emergency refund I was denied. This place has a lot of visitors throughout the years and they couldn’t refund my daughter who battling healing out of work in the process. My whole family come there every year but I will make sure we never choice this establishment that don’t care about their customers.
Everyone is very pleasant and the dining options were really good.
I was very disappointed with this property. I have been to many all inclusive resorts and this was by far the worst one. Would not recommend to anyone. What is advertised online is not even remotely close to the condition of this resort. It is severely outdated. Rooms are dark and depressing, not nearly as many bars and restaurants as they claim to have, and the female workers are very rude. The food is stale and not great. Only one or two good places to eat. Will never be coming back.
Staff was friendly and attentive. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure comfortability during our stay
Friendly staff, good food and drinks
