no idea as we were told they no longer work with booking.com, so our room had been cancelled, without anybody telling me about it, so i had to find another hotel to stay in, so i want my money back.

Attention, arnaque! Beware FRAUD! L'hôtel a refusé de me donner une chambre, pourtant déjà payée, et même en leur montrant le reçu et les mails reçus de leur part via Booking, en disant qu'ils ne travaillaient plus avec Booking. Pourtant j'avais fait la réservation la même journée et sur la semaine suivante, l'hôtel apparaissait aussi en proposition sur le site de Booking. The hotel refused to give me the room that I had already paid on Booking when showing up at the reception, saying they do not work with Booking since 2 months. They refused to confirm their refusal by written and refused to help me by calling thBooking or the hotel chain OYO that signed the mails to confirm me the booking. The reservation was made the same day and the hotel was still reported as a proposal on Booking's site the following week (as an example). Do not book this hotel via Booking or you will loose your money.

Departure

Payment was taken by Booking.Com a day before arrival. On arriving at the hotel before check-in time, our reservation was confirmed and we were allowed to store bags behind reception. On returning later in the evening to check-in to our room, we were advised that the new hotel management would not honour bookings via Booking.Com nor Expedia, Agoda, etc; and that we'd have to pay them for the room (ie pay twice), leading to lots of disgruntled customers in the lobby. Booking.Com were excellent; immediately telephoning & emailing the hotel but got no response. So Booking.Com refunded our money allowing us to either keep our reservation & pay the hotel directly or find somewhere else. We chose the latter. We felt we were lied to by the hotel staff. Customers of other brokers were left to pay twice.

Room and facilities OK - I notice lift is still not working though

Refused to check me in as Booking.com!!! Had to pay again to obtain my Room - they had the booking on screen!! Recepionist stated they do not use Booking.com since June! but looking at other reviews you would think they would have sorted this. Now I'm chasing Refund via both Booking.com and OYO - I have also charge back both payments via credit until this issue is resolved.. This is very poor from the hotel as they could have easily just cancelled the booking as soon as it appeared on their system instead of waiting for me to arrive to pay extra!! Note all comms still forward me to the same reception number.

The hotel's location was excellent and very convenient. It was right by the sea, and within walking distance of the pier and the bus stop, making it easy to explore all the nearby attractions. The room was clean and well-organized, and the property was very peaceful and quiet.

Location

On checking in the hotel staff made me cancel my booking.com booking and rebook with them direct. They advised it was necessary and that I would.get.a.full refund from booking.com. I received £4.79 refund from booking.com rather than the full £68.40 and despite.messagingnand.contacting the hotel and booking.com almost.daily for the last month I still haven't had a refund. I have been conned and would strongly.advise.persons.not.to stay at this hotel.

The hotel is positioned opposite the promenade.

The room I stayed in had a very squeaky floor so walking around was not relaxing. I couldn't get any heat from the radiator despite moving the thermostat - the room was cold at night. The bathroom was extremely small but manageable.

Terrible accommodation, the door wouldn't lock as it was broken, the windows didn't lock as the locks were broken, the room was awful, SO BAD THAT WE DIDNT STAY THE NIGHT,WE USED THE ROOM FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS WHILE WE WERE AT THE BEACH,AND THEN WENT HOME.

THE FACT YOU COULDN'T LOCK YOUR DOOR,THE WINDOWS HAD NO LOCKS AND THERE WAS COMMUNAL BALCONIES SO VERY UNSAFE,IT WAS WARM SO WE WANTED THE WINDOWS OPEN, BUT COULDNT BECUASE OF SECURITY

Staff were really lovely and helpful. Location and sea view was good. We were lucky to find a free parking spot just around the corner.

Although it was in the heatwave, (which the hotel has no control over!) the room was oppressively hot. One window didn't open which didn't help air flow although the hotel did provide a fan without having to ask them. A large group of foreign students were staying in the hotel when we were there which, although they were very well behaved, made the hotel feel a little overwhelmed. I also didn't like that the hotel door was locked at 11pm (because the students were staying) although there was a 24 hour desk and you could use an alternative door by knocking. Decor was comfy but a tad jaded.

The weather was so extremely hot, with no air conditioning the room was extremely warm. Given the new hot summers, windows need to be able to be opened, much more and some type of fans would be good.

Brilliant location .near the beach and pier and plenty of local cafes pub and shops nearby to. The staff were really nice and friendly . Was there in the heatwave and having a back facing window the room stayed cool .was staying in a budget double room for 3 nights.

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and in an excellent location. The beach was only a short walk away, and there were plenty of great restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything we needed was close by. We would definitely stay here again

Very stuffy, windows barely opened Dangerous stairs - fire door right on the top step so you are balancing all your luggage while trying to open then door Lift not working No wardrobe in the room as advertised. We were staying for 3 nights so you can imagine how fun that was. ‘free toiletries’ was a soap dispenser in the shower

I knew I wasn’t staying at a 5 star hotel, so wasn’t expecting much, As we were at the tennis all day we just needed a clean room, shower and comfy bed. The room itself wasn’t too bad, basic and tired. Unfortunately it was 30’, the room felt like 50’, we asked for a fan, but they had ran out! It was unbearable we didn’t sleep all night. This hotel needs to understand that customers are paying for a good nights sleep. How much would it cost to supply each room with a fan, especially, when they knew we were expecting a heat wave??? Couldn’t use the milk pots as they were off, due to the heat. Also be prepared, that this hotel is used for overseas young language students. At times I thought I was entering a youth club. There were no warnings before we arrived! Staff were unhelpful, they didn’t care we hadn’t slept.

Stayed in Room 106. the size was ok, but toilet/shower was very small. Sink was placed in a akward position in shower room just enough room to wash hand (impossible to wash your face as no room to lean your head). Tiny bugs in toilet. Tv cabinet/tv was placed just by the window obstructing the view (we booked a sea view room as advertised). Did not try food /bar as the receptionist didnt explain where it was and what were the timings. we went out for dinner. Difficult to find the parking space.

My single room had a double bed!

I was not impressed with the check-in process. Wasn’t until 3pm so a lot of people were waiting but the guy at the counter wouldn’t check anyone in until 3:00 on the dot which led to a queue. It took over a quarter hour til I got to my room. And I found the guy at the desk quite rude. This was not a good start. Shower had to run for 15 minutes until I got hot water. A bit expensive for what it was. Stayed in much better and closer to the town for cheaper.

For a budget hotel it was great. I forgot my toothpaste and they gave me a small pack free of charge, that was really nice.

The stay was disappointing. The hotel needs better maintenance, and the overall experience did not meet expectations. There is definitely room for improvement.

First night we arrived, we were shocked that the lights were to be turned off at 11pm, as we were told the boss didn't want the lights on after 11pm as it was too expensive. We had no one to help with luggage 20kg case the lift was out of order. We were on the 2nd floor. We had to use the torches on our phones to guide us to our room, which was really bad considering we had luggage to carry. The room was nice but very warm the window only opened a certain width as thwre was a lock on the window. As per description regarding free toiletries, there was no shower gel in the shower dispenser, I didn't bring some as I thought there would be some there. I had to buy shower gel shampoo & conditioner as thwre was none either. I have stayed in hotels which have complimentary soap, shampoo conditioner & shower gels. We did however have clean towels toilet rolls & soap in the dispenser. Overall I had a lovely few days holiday the weather was fantastic just a pity about the problems.

The size of the room was considerably smaller than what I booked for as per the room pictures of the booking site. These rooms are not shown and give an incorrect image of what we stayed in. These rooms room had no air conditioning or even a fan provided and the small window only opened approximately 3”. The shower unit was extremely small and the shower water pressure was extremely poor with only a dribble from the shower head. The noise of the third night was so bad, this was due to teenagers running around banging doors. These teenagers were staying as part of the EF group.

Very clean & the staff were lovely. They even gave me a sea view in a budget room 🌞 very comfortable bed and pillows.

Lift broken.Steep stairs + heavy fire doors to open.Which then slammed shut.Very noisy.No hot water on first day.Then had to run water for ages before it got hot.Poor curtains.Could not keep the room dark.

The location was perfect , staff very friendly , nothing too much trouble , room clean and comfortable and great value. would stay again .

On arrival we were told no car parking although it was listed on the hotel details when booking We parked in a side street We were given a room on the third floor and the lift was not working The room had not air con or a fan in a very warm period. The shower was not always working and in a very small space together with the toilet.
