A few room details need attention: the toilet flush didn't work very well, and the shampoo bottle cap was broken (surprised housekeeping missed this). Fortunately, they replaced the bottle for me once I brought it up.

Reviewed Apr 7, 2026The location is great. It's surrounded by a popular and good quality seafood restaurant (Layar Seafood) and coffee shops (Aucafe, Drama, and Seniman). It's 35 minute drive to the terminal 2 of Juanda Airport. The facility is also good. The bed is very comfy, suitable for being the rest spot for your adventure trip.

Reviewed Jan 11, 2025got a super generous upgrade room: got upgraded to a suite, super spacious with high ceiling, a dining table, smart tv, a sofa, and a bathroom with rain shower. super clean and comfy. great and creative welcome amenity. staffs: great front office staff, great initiatives, great manager, great breakfast staffs, all so friendly and helpful. breakfast: dishes were quite variative and tasty enough, better than ibis but below the average mercure. chocolate and cappucino were great. parking: super small parking space, better to not bring vehicles while staying here. front side was also being renovated so access was a bit hard. overall a good 3 star hotel with no swimming pool and super small parking space.

There’s dried rice on the complementary water bottle. Stains of foods on the tables and glass window. No hand wash on the sink, no hand towel and face towels. Plus no additional toilet paper. The shower floor was slippery, I nearly felt couple’s time. Lots of black moulds in the shower. Shampoo and body wash bottles are pretty old. Found random threads on the carpets, haven’t been vacuumed maybe. The towels are old and greyish, the threads are frayed. Found few stains on the beddings. Very bad experience for me as first timer in Mercure.

small park area only about 6 or 7 cars can be parked independently, other than that the hotel will park them, variation in breakfast time, the bathroom floor needs to be repaired because the remaining water from the shower cannot flow to the drainage area, so it can cause guests to slip

Reviewed Aug 5, 2024Breakfast is so so. Meat ball is a bit hard, sausage very dry, bubur/porridge could have been better. The best thing from breakfast is the thematic warm drink (chai, honey lemon, wedang uwuh).
SDB was locked, so I have to call technician (takes time), He came, and the battery was low. Change battery :-( Refrigerator was off, should have been on when the room is ready. So I put cafe latte and dimsum and become bad. No hand / face towel, and the towel was not brightly white (butek dekil), sarung bantal juga Long response for housekeeping staff - maybe lack of personel Long service to call taxi by the hotel. I call Blue Bird my self via gocar - very fast (yet, what about international tourist then?)

Minibar not working properly , leaking and not frozen ( it same with some of rooms at my previous stay) The colour of the towel needs to be changed for four stars hotel chain level.

The shower's drain in my room (910) needs to be fixed (water pooled and not drained properly). They only gave 2 bath towels, no hand towels, nor face towels. When I asked on the day I checked in, they said it is still in the laundry and will be ready the next day, yet until I checked out 2 days later, I still didn't see any face towels.

Reviewed Dec 20, 2023Stayed here for 1 night only. I got a superior room. It is very compact, although the amenities were all good, although it is standard amenities. The air conditioner is not cold, anyway it is good for me because i didn't like too cold either. I didn't try the breakfast, the committee which booked ny room made a mistake and order the room without breakfast. Although they correct their mistake later, I already ate my breakfast outside. This is a good hotel, however I cant believe that Mercure will provide such a budget style hotel. I thought that mercure will provide a decent full service hotel. Anyway. It is ok if only for an overnight stay like me

Reviewed Nov 4, 2023The hotel is compact, small but high. Checked in was quick at the 2nd floor. My room was small but comfort and clean. There are many restaurants near the hotel. One of the biggest mall in Surabaya is also close enough to the hotel. Breakfast was delicious enoug although there were not too many choices of menu.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2023I came here for a business trip. This hotel was still new so I thought I would give it a try. Upon arrival, I was a little bit surprised by how small the hotel was, and very compact. My room was big enough, very clean, and with decent amenities. Sleeping here was very comfortable. Breakfast was lack of variety, the taste of the food was also so-so. Location was not really at the city center but still close to many decent restaurants/cafes. Overall, it was a nice stay, but it's not like the Mercure Hotel I usually stayed at. Thank you.
