Great location and facilities. The kitchen staff was great: we had an early morning tour and they packed breakfast for us. There are water/drinks and fruit in the common area.

It took more than 10 mins to confirm the room was ok to check out. We booked two tours from the tour desk in the hotel, one was good, one was terrible. The taxi ride we booked was terrible: the driver was constantly on the phone and no air con in the hot weather.

Taxi- I was going to get a taxi to go to airport and they said they could call a taxi for me. The taxi guy charged 300 pesos and when I arrived at airport and took taxi they only charged 100.00. They have a group of taxi drivers they use. I think they increase the price due to that.

Rooms were good sized and clean. Location was safe, walkable and close to Zócalo. Breakfast was excellent and varied day to day. Staff was friendly. Parking is available.

There was a lot of echoing noise from the courtyard as workers began their days—usually by 7-8 AM. A couple mornings we had no hot water in our room but that was fixed later in the day. Parking garage is 3 blocks away.

Excellent location, close to the zocalo (1 block) with a good breakfast included. Room (201) was spacious, had a little kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave and sink. Bed was comfortable, shower had good pressure and hot water. 2 bottles of drinking water was in our room every day. Parking was included, about 2 blocks away, convenient and secure parking. Staff was very helpful and friendly yet professional. Based on our experience, a great place to stay and would stay there again if we are in Oaxaca.

No están muy coordinados en el check in Ninel check out. Espere mucho dado q no encontraban sábanas y fundas de almohadas . Cosas q el día anterior a la limpieza no las colocaron . Por q mandaron a la señora a limpiar otra . Y en lo q aparecía la señora nos atrasamos en el check out . . En el desayuno hay q llegar temprano por q solo ponene 3 bananas . 4 manzanas y dos mangos . Si no llegas temprano ya no colocan de nuevo

Excellent location right across the street from Mercado Benito Juarez, close to everything downtown, the free breakfast is very good and with good portions.

The rooms had a funky/old smell when you first enter them, as when you go to a room that is not used.

Tambien me encantó su ubicación puesto que está a tan solo una cuadra del zócalo, y como detalle especial nos gustó el hecho de que en una de sus puertas se encuentran sobre el piso las letras de Oaxaca y las fotos lo agradecen

My shower was blocked on arrival, leading to flooding of the bathroom. I was only there for one night, but this could have caused an issue - though it is easily resolved! The mosquito net on the door of the room was incomplete, so some bugs did get into the room. I'm quite susceptible to bug bites!

The hotel is beautiful overall, spacious, and very comfortable. In addition, the staff was always friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. Its location in downtown Oaxaca City is excellent and makes it easy to explore the city’s main attractions. I had a very positive experience, and everything was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

Unfortunately, there was a large teachers’ protest affecting a significant area of downtown Oaxaca during our stay. It did take away some of the magic of being able to fully enjoy and explore the city, but of course, that had nothing to do with the hotel itself. It was simply a social situation taking place at the time. Other than that, I honestly have nothing negative to say about the hotel. The property, service, staff, and overall experience were excellent, and I would gladly stay there again.

The cleaning staff was phenomenal, changed the sheets daily, new towels daily, the common area was clean.

The shower knobs were incredibly wobbly, which made the water shift from scorching hot to freezing cold. We informed to the front desk about this and they said they would send someone to fix it. They never followed up so we had to go speak to them again in order to find out that they wouldn’t be able to fix it. We were told that all the rooms had the same issue, however, during an excursion, we spoke to other people staying at the hotel and realized that was not the case. Our stay was five days and we dealt with this for four until they finally allowed us to switch rooms. The hot water also was not working for a portion of the stay, but that was due to the electricity and their boiler messing up due to the rain. The lady who sells the excursions beside the front desk also makes a lot of fake claims and once you book the excursions with her is the last time you see her. During the excursions sold at the hotel be expected to be asked for money multiple times by the drivers for the toll booths and as a donation for the small towns you go through, this is never mentioned by the lady selling the tickets, Carmen.

The staff were professional and kind. The continental breakfast was delicious. We got two bottles of water for free and clean towels every day, and the location was perfect for us.

There were a few minor dislikes but nothing that would deter us ftom returning.. We had a leaky toilet and there was at times excessive noise above our room which was the rooftop.

Me gusto la limpieza de las habitaciones y en general la de hotel. Nos gusto mucho la ubicación, ninca habiamos estado en Oaxaca y la verdad esta en un punto muy bueno

El Wifi en la habitación no se podía usar por la baja intencidad con que llegaba, el desayuno lo sirven despues de las ocho y los tours empiezan a las ocho por lo que te tienes que ir sin desayurar y el día que si desayunamos muy raquitica la porción de fruta que te sirven y no hay opciones por si no pueds consumir un alimento que ellos tienenprogramado, el sabor bueno pero muy pocas alternativas. El estacionamiento esta a tres cuadras del hotel loque complice un poco la salida y la llegad

A charming hotel in an historic building. The room was very comfortable. The air conditioning and hot water were great. The included breakfasts were lovely as were the staff serving them. Tea and coffee making facilities were located on the ground floor for use anytime and fresh fruit was also available. The hotel grounds were spotless and constantly being cleaned. It is opposite the markets and only one block to the Zocalo. Tours can be organised from the hotel.

Breakfast was lovely, different choices everyday. It seems we got the gringo menu. Location was superb. There were two panes of glass, reducing the noise from the street. The room was large and the foam mattresses were firm, in a good way. The AC worked well. Receptionist during the day was so helpful.

Even if we ordered jugo in spanish, "jamaica" we got naranja. "chilaquiles con jamon" came out as huevos. Even while concurrently pointing to each item on the menu led to different dishes coming out.

La actitud del personal fue muy buena en todo momento y respondieron amablemente a mis preguntas. Me dejaron hacer check-in anticipado porque ya estaba listo el cuarto, lo cual se agradece. La cama está deliciosa y siempre doy un buen review cuando en los hoteles hay jabón, shampú, acondicionador y cremita corporal, porque no todos lo ofrecen y el producto me gustó.

Únicamente considero que servir el desayuno a las 8:00am es un poco tarde si se toma en cuenta que hay muchas personas que toman tours (que incluso te invitan a adquirir en el lobby), y ya no te da tiempo de aprovechar el desayuno incluido por el que pagaste. Sería bueno tener la posibilidad de solicitar unos box lunch para esos casos porque el desayuno está rico.

The noise echoes a little at times, I think this would be everywhere as buildings are historical with hard surfaces which makes them beautiful. This didn't effect my sleep

The only thing is there was no refrigerator in my room which I didn’t mind during my stay.

The location is fabulous in the center of town. We stayed on the second floor with a garden view which ment that we didn’t hear any of the street noise. The hotel is absolutely spotless and the breakfasts that were included in the price were generous, delicious and changed daily. We would definitely stay here again.

It is a beautiful hotel and so clean. We had a large room that was so nice. The tour agent who works there is a great source for planning trips. She was friendly and did everything to make extra trip arrangements go smoothly. Also the staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is the best we’ve ever had that is included with your stay. The location is excellent. It is just down the street from the old town square, the Zocalo.

excellent location- safe, close to the city center, right across Benito Juarez Mercado and Mercado 20 de Noviembre, walking distance to shops and many restaurants exceptionally clean- no stains or smell in bathroom, no clogs in the drainage, clean sheets, great water flow and temp in the shower. The common/shared spaces such as the breakfast area, lobby and hallways are well maintained and staff are always mopping the floors, wiping windows, etc excellent breakfast- made to order local breakfast served daily with fresh fruits, pan dulce/crepes, juice, coffee/tea in a beautiful and inviting courtyard, provided with cozy and comfortable seating. wonderful staff- Monse, the front desk associate was very accommodating with all our questions, she was always happy to help us whenever we needed something translated. Luis was also very nice and everyone we met including the kitchen crew- Maria, Rebecca and Luz. They were all amazing people.

The hotel was very clean. Our room smelled fresh , not like cleaning products but actually a clean and fresh smell.

There aren’t any elevators so my 70 year old mother didn’t appreciate that, but I understand none of the hotels in the area have one.

The hotel is near the center of historic Oaxaca so it was very easy to walk to most places. Taxis were readily available and relatively cheap if you needed one

Not the hotels issue but, the room was noisy from street noise. We were there over Christmas so there was a lot going on in the center. If you are booking at Christmas or Easter, I would recommend asking for a room not on the main street side

The breakfast was cooked to order . About 5 options were offered. Service was super nice. The room was very quiet except for some minor noise as the staff was preparing the kitchen for breakfast. The location cannot be better...close to the zocalo but away from the noise.

The curtains could be improved to darken the room. The water temperature in the shower required careful control but we learned how to make this work.
