Amazing experience and amazing owner and staff

What I liked most about the hotel was its convenient location, which made it easy to walk to nearby places. The staff were also very helpful, especially when assisting with taxis and providing useful local information.

The main issue I encountered was the bathroom. The water pressure was low, the water was occasionally discolored, and there were some leaks. However, the bed was very comfortable, and overall, the stay was still pleasant.

Can’t fault it! Friendly service, clean, great shower and central location. They stored our belongings while we went on our trek. Fyi - the hot water isn’t available if you are showering at random times (like late at 10pm). For the price paid it was excellent value.

Das Hotel ist super in Thamel gelegen. Das Zimmer selbst war groß genug, hatte aber wenig Charme zum Wohlfühlen. Es gibt eine Dachterrasse mit toller Aussicht. Dort konnte ich am letzten Tag auch noch einige Zeit auf meinen Nachtbus warten.

Das Badezimmerfenster zeigt auf den Gang des Hotels. Das Badezimmer selbst hätte etwas größer sein können und das Zimmer insgesamt etwas sauberer.

Standard rooms don’t have windows directly connected with the outside, but on a well lit corridor.

Nearby to thamel street and many eatery. Quiet and peace place. Friendly staff with good lift facility especially after your hike. Basic amenity without heater as price is expected. We book most basic room.

まずはシャワーがコールドシャワーでした。部屋の綺麗さや水回りの綺麗さは値段相応という感じです。エアコン、ドライヤー無しなので、少しその辺りが大変でした。エアコン無しなので、湿気がありました。

Excellent stay! The staff were always helpful and ready to assist. The room was in a silent location,no noise from the streets. Appreciated the hot shower and free luggage storage after checkout. Fantastic 360° rooftop views of Kathmandu! Highly recommend.

The location is at the central of Thamel, 5 minutes walking you will be in Thamel, quite area and many cafes around the guest house. The staff are very helpful. We manage to stay longer than we expecting. Will definitely coming back when we are in Thamel again.

Not really sure who, but there was a time at the evening many people talking loudly and walking back and forth at the rooftop area.

Good location, easy to access with taxi or scooter and easy to go around to most tourist attractions. The hotel is near a busy area for tourists and offers a lot of options for restaurants and shopping. The staff are all very helpful and welcoming to make you feel right at home.

Room needs some maintenance as stains and broken objects can be found. But it was all good for a short stay. Hot water is not always available.

La struttura è in buona posizione, fuori dal caos di thamel però la consiglierei solo per una notte, non di più. Alcune stanze le stavano ristrutturando e dove ho alloggiato io c'era un leggero odore di sigaretta, quindi secondo me ci avevano fumato con o senza il consenso dell'host. Terrazza panoramica per vedere il tramonto sui tetti di Kathmandu.

Amazing place! First of all, the location is perfect! close to everything you need. The hotel conditions are excellent… there’s an elevator, the cleaning staff keeps everything spotless, and there’s always hot water in the shower! The hotel team is wonderful! everyone is super friendly and helpful, and they made us feel so good and comfortable. I highly, highly recommend it! 🩷🩷

This is a great hotel in the center of the tourist area of Tamel. It is clean, the staff is friendly, and the prices are very affordable. There are only positive things to say. In fact, I was able to check in early and check out late. I highly recommend this hotel!!

The location is in a quiet part of town and the shower was the strongest and hottest of the showers I've had at 14 different hotels. It was quiet from midnight to 9am.

There is a large dog in the courtyard below that barks all day and at night at passing strangers. Rooms that end with a 2 or 3 are directly across from the stairwell, so the noise from the lobby resonates upward if people are chatting until midnight. You can feel the bed springs sagging as you sleep, and smell smoke coming into the room. There is no a/c.

Świetna lokalizacja! W samym centrum turystycznej części Katmandu. Super widok z tarasu na dachu. Bardzo miły personel. W pokoju wszystko co potrzebne - czysta pościel, czajnik, woda butelkowana, nawet szczoteczka do zębów i pasta.

Dość ciemne pokoje, ogólna czystość pokoju na średnim poziomie.

Its prime location in Thamel was a huge advantage, everything I needed was just a short walk away! The hotel staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and made sure I was well taken care of throughout my stay. Their hospitality truly stood out. Staff were always available and offered exceptional customer service. I would definitely stay here again without a second thought!

If I had to mention one small thing, it would be that the area around Thamel can get a bit lively and noisy at times, but honestly, that is part of its charm. It’s the heartbeat of Kathmandu, full of life, colour, and energy. The good thing is, once I was back in my room, the hotel felt like a calm little sanctuary in the middle of all that excitement. It actually made me appreciate how peaceful and comfortable the hotel really was.

Chambre horrible, odeur de tabac froid, cafards et autres insectes sur les murs et dans les draps qui étaient très sales. Pas de fenêtres qui s'ouvrent correctement. En revanche personnelle très gentil.

Rooms are very small and unmentained, hygiene are not proper.

New hotel panda is my go-to-hotel in Kathmandu and I’ve tried a few. For a low prize it offers everything I need: a comfortable bed, warm water, a beautiful rooftop and soap, toothbrush and towels. I tried out other places but always ended up here again. It’s in a quiet area which is nice, they are open 24/7 at the reception and very uncomplicated:)
