No ac was a bummer. And the decorating looked like my grandma's house in the 90's. And the TV was smart but lagged so bad it wouldn't load any streaming

Cosy feel. Nice decor. Free toiletries, including shower caps. Thats a big plus for me! The photos are from Drogheda.
Not enough water pressure in the shower for me. Personal preference. It was hard to wash off soap in the shower. Maybe it's a hard water area. It had a strange taste.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026Lovely clean hotel and nice and quiet on arrival .Was delighted checkout was not till 12 MD, as didnt sleep great however was woken by small children running up and down the corridors shouting and chatting out loud with no parents in sight so that ruined a lovely stay however would not put me off staying again

There was a beer garden right outside our bedroom window, it closed at 10pm, which would have been fine if we had been on our own but we had our 6 yr old with us and it was a bit noisy for her.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026Recently refurbished hotel with great rooms all on one level. Very clean and comfortable with a good restaurant and a daily carvery. The staff are exceptional from the reception through to the cleaners- highly recommended.
Some small adaptations would really help wheelchair using guests- a sloping ramp from the carvery room to the gardens and handrails in the bathrooms of a couple of designated rooms would be great.

At really hours of the morning roughly 4am there was a lot of banging and noises coming from kids in the corridor and it went on fir what seemed like forever so myself and my partner slept in and missed the breakfast I had already paid for and when I was leaving I told the staff at the desk and her response was very unprofessional. Were I thought they might have compensated us in some way or form she just laughed it off and and make a remark about going home to bed. It really ruined what was otherwise a good night

Reviewed Jul 18, 2026This hotel is excellent! The location is perfect for exploring Dublin or further North to Castlebellingham. It is also 10 mins by car to amazing beaches in Laytown and Bettystown perfect for families. The bedrooms are extremely clean, comfortable and newly decorated and are all at ground level with easy access for guests with disabilities. I cannot praise the staff enough who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The chefs deserve a special mention for the excellent food and their willingness to adapt the menu for me as I needed gluten free. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained providing a lovely place to sit in the evening with a glass of wine. We will be returning for our annual trip to visit our Irish relatives.
That our stay was only 7 days 🙂

The staff were all exceptional with a particular shout out to Michelle and Christine for making us feel so welcome and always going above and beyond. The evening food was terrific and the breakfast was just perfect. My husband and I loved the fact we were offered a range of coffees and not just filtered coffee in the morning. I honestly couldn't fault the hotel in any way. We will definitely be back.

Room wasn't very clean - dead insects around the window, towels were stained. Also tv didn't work on any channel - couldn't get signal. The fan in the bathroom was quite loud and sounded pretty knackered. The mattress felt very uneven which was quite uncomfortable.
