The location is good for a one night stay

I would not stay here long-term; the hostel was not clean, and it was so unbearably warm in the rooms on an Autumn night, avoid in Summer!

Location 10/10, Stuff 100/10 and the pods are confy enough.

La proximité avec la gare de Saint Pancras et King Cross. Tous les moyens de transports de la ville à proximité et les lieux de restauration.

La hauteur des lits de dortoirs. Quand on à celui du dessous, on ne peux même pas tenir assis sur le lit sans se tordre le cou. Les prises électriques sont bof... manque de modernité.

Personal war unfreundlich und man hatte das Gefühl, dass man nur nervt. Sie wussten ausserdem über einige Dinge nicht Bescheid und haben teilweise falsche Infos gegeben (zB dass ein Handgepäckskoffer in das Schliessfach passt-dann passte es nicht!), die Reaktion darauf war dann so nach dem Motto “Pech gehabt und ich wurde sogar ausgelacht von dem Mitarbeiter, ziemlich unverschämt!

Sehr dreckige Badezimmer…ausserdem in einer Etage nur 2 Toiletten und 2 Duschen für Frauen. In den Bereich konnte auch jeder reingehen, das ein oder andere Mal kamen Männer aus dem Bereich raus-das sollte eigentlich nicht sein, wenn man extra ein Frauenzimmer bucht. Das 4er Zimmer war mega klein, so 6-8qm und ausser einem 50cm breiten Gang zwischen den Stockbetten war gar kein Platz. Das Waschbecken stand so in der Ecke hinter dem Bett, dass man es quasi nicht benutzen konnte. Die Matratzen sind schrecklich!

Sauberkeit in Ordnung (Zimmer und Bad).

Preis in Wirklichkeit höher, da für ca. 6,50€ ein Handtuch ausgeliehen werden kann (beim Wechsel fallen die Gebühren erneut an). Weitere Extras wie Duschgel, Ohrstöpsel etc. jeweils zwei Gegenstände für ca. 8€. Adapter werden nicht gestellt, stattdessen müssen USB-B Ladekabel gekauft werden. Trinkwasser gibt es nicht und das Personal weißt stattdessen auf das Leitungswasser hin, was ich nicht empfehlen kann.

Rent cost is low, £5 for breakfast but not much food chose, I prefer pay more and changes the menu.

I sleep on lower bed, I was hitting my head many times, room is hot, fan can't work.

Really good if you need to be at the train station in the morning or are just coming from there. Room also didn’t feel too cramped. Reading lights and plugs for each bed. All things needed for your stay at the front desk for purchase. Even a vending machine. Nice social area in the basement.

Smell and cleanliness weren’t that great. Staff attitude could have been better, but wasn’t the worst I’ve experienced. Wish that showers had a private changing area. Had to keep my clothes on the floor outside my shower and expose myself to get changed.

Très bien située, grand dortoir bien équipés, linge de lit propre, grands casiers. L’auberge est calme et la pièce de vie agréable. Le prix est toujours très intéressant !

Les salles de bain sont vraiment rudimentaires, il n’y a rien pour poser les affaires à proximité des lavabos, la pression de l’eau dans les douches est inexistante et certaines douches n’ont pas d’eau chaude. Certains réceptionnistes sont adorables et d’autres un peu moins…

I booked a 4 room bed but was given a 10 room bed even though I paid more at booking. When asked for a refund the receptionist stated that prices change all the time.

The rooms are smelly, very small, humid, hot only 1 electric fan. Uncomfortable.

The two best features of this hostel are its proximity to King's Cross station and the cheap price. The dormitories are reasonably set up with large stand-alone lockers for each bunk and sinks with a mirror. There is also a well-fitted kitchen and chilling area with fusball, although this can't be used by guests who need to check out very early, ie before 6.30am

The part I really didn't like was how stuffy the dormitory was. There was an overwhelming smell of bodily odour and shoes, which was likely exacerbated by the lack of proper ventilation, as there was only one skylight that opened a fraction. There also wasn't any air conditioning, which should really be a basic utility with the impending climate catastrophe, so the dormitory was extremely hot. Although the staff had been diligent and set up a floor fan, this did very little to alleviate the temperature and smell. I also found the ladder to the top bunk awkward to use, as rather than rungs it had weird, differently-shaped cutouts. Lastly, one of the toilet seats in the male toilets was completely destroyed.

Das Hostel liegt in sehr zentrale Lage

Die Zimmer waren extrem heiß, teils über 5° über der Außentemperatur, weshalb ein ruhiger Schlaf nicht möglich war. Die Zimmer waren sehr schlecht belüftet und die einzige Maßnahme gegen die Hitze war ein kleiner Ventilator, der die heiße Luft bewegt hat.

Das Personal war immer sehr zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war für den Preis echt ausgewogen.

Stay here a lot over many years. Good solid facilities all round and excellent location to get to main sites around London. I stay in the 18 Bed Room - there is more space and bathrooms are adjacent.

Would like the TV lounge to be operational again with comfy furniture and the TV working properly. Need to clean more often under beds (dust).

Unfortunately I was only there for a short amount of time. But if I had to go to King's Cross Station again, I would definitely stay at Clink 261 again.

Everything was perfect! I didn't have the breakfasts, but I have had the breakfasts before and they were quite good and a great value for the money. I love the convivence of the Clink. Having it right at Kings Cross was perfect when I needed to get a commuter train as well as the Tube.

Really nicely priced hostel close to St Pancras and Euston. Was perfect after getting Eurostar late from Amsterdam. The breakfast at 5 pounds was also really good value, nothing cooked but still found the options complete and suitable for vegans.

The room itself (I stayed in a pod style dorm) while quiet and felt private, was extremely stuffy and warm even with the fan on full blast. I wouldn't want to stay more than just one night there.

An excellent location. Great price. Staff were friendly. The ‘pod’ was comfortable, had lights, power, and the curtain kept it dark and private. The locker was good. There was space to chill out at the reception.

It was too hot in the ‘pod’ and room. I was sweating when trying to get to sleep. There’s a massive fan in the room, which didn’t help much in the pod - and it was loud, so bring earplugs. However, i did sleep well once I was out. The toilets and showers were all very small and claustrophobic.

Espacios muy reducidos y masificados (habitaciones, baños, pasillos y áreas comunes). Cobran 5 £ por bulto por guardar el equipaje y el trato al cliente fue distante y poco hospitalario. En comparación con alojamientos de la misma categoría en otras ciudades, la experiencia se queda muy corta. Valdría la pena elevar el estándar del servicio aunque implique un ajuste en el precio general.

Room on top floor with all men. Tiny room too hot in room even after a very large van on floor blocking exit out of room. men sleeping half naked due to this making it feel very uncomfortable to stay. No tiolets for women on top two floors. No other women in room. Decided to not stay due to this and my daughter only being 18 years old it upset her. Very disappointed as stayed in hostels before but never felt so unsafe as this.

They did not make the bed, it was very hot. You need AC in the rooms. So hard to sleep with the noise of the fans that provided no air circulation

Stayed before. Easy, quick check-in, even though it was after midnight. Dorm rooms have character, wooden beds, some singles, some doubles, some bed near the ground, others up wooden steps. Hostel has nice calm, relaxed atmosphere. London can be reached on underground in 10 minutes. good breakfast for £7 in basement. Stairs and lift/elevator to ground, upper and basement floors. Good, fast speed, free WiFi. Bedding and pillow included. Plug socket and light beside bed. Bathroom is small, but clean, hand soap by sinks, paper towels, paper in toilet. bathrooms and rooms cleaned daily. Would definitely stay again. Reasonable price for London. Friendly, helpful staff.

No proper handrails on steps to upper beds. Too many doors in building and all doors very heavy. Bathrooms could be bigger? :).

L'emplacement est génial, vraiment à 5 min à pied de King's Cross St. Pancras, ça fait que les déplacements soient faciles, et rapides ainsi que l'arrivée et le départ.

Staff were helpful, friendly, attentive, and took guests safety seriously. Responded calmly and immediately when an inebriated man was wandering the halls trying to find his room. Double power sockets and USBs above the beds - all working!! The bathrooms were IMMACULATE, better than any hostel and a lot of hotels.

Cependant, dans les pods, il fait vraiment chaud une fois le rideau fermé. Malgré la présence d’un ventilateur, cela ne suffit pas à refroidir l’espace personnel.

The room was smelly, like a sweat scent that had soaked into the (polyurethane?) floor. The rest of the building had a funny smell too. There was trash around my bed. There was no women's bathroom on my floor, and no indication to the nearest. There was no atmosphere in common areas. Staff was not particularly friendly, they didn't explain anything or give personal attention. Luggage storage is 5GBP per bag...

Gepflegtes Hostel, dafür angenehm ruhig, gemeinschaftlich nutzbare Räume und Küche vorhanden, günstiges Frühstück zubuchbar, gute Lage insbesondere, wenn man mit Eurostar reist.

This is a hostel, and a decent one which is OK for a few hours sleep. Earplugs and an eye mask are essential.

La posizione è ottima, vicino alla stazione di King’s Cross, collegata benissimo. Il personale molto gentile

L’assenza delle tendine nei letti, zero privacy Faceva molto caldo dentro la struttura, rispetto all’esterno (ho soggiornato a inizio luglio) E soprattutto le docce: la stanza delle docce si trova vicino alle scale, si entra senza carta e non si può chiudere perché ci sono tre docce stile spogliatoio. La doccia è molto piccola, quindi devi uscire nuda e lasciare l’accappatoio subito fuori se no si bagna completamente. E in tutto ciò chiunque potrebbe entrare in questa stanza, da qualsiasi piano. Non mi sono sentita a mio agio.

La ubicación era buena y el desayuno era variado y con opciones sin gluten. La chica del mostrador en recepción fue muy amable.

En las fotografías daba la impresión de ser un sitio moderno, pero nada más lejos de la realidad y siempre con iluminación y ambiente lúgubre. Fuimos dos en una habitación privada con dos camas, por lo que entiendo el precio más elevado sobre todo siendo Londres. El baño era compartido con toda la planta. Tanto el de hombre como el de mujer eran diminutos y estaban sucios, pero lo peor fue la habitación. La cama hacía un ruido horrible y estaba más dura que un ladrillo, las sábanas y la colcha que nos dieron estaban SUCIAS con MANCHAS y con PELO. Tuvimos que dormir sobre las toallas que dejaron, que por lo menos estaban limpias. Luego, la cantidad de suciedad y polvo que había era inaceptable: rincones polvorientos que no han visto una escoba en su vida, un mar de pelusas y piezas óxidadas. En la repisa de la ventana habia una lamparita de mesa oxidada y cutre y un ventilador con polvo. Al menos podrían haber dejado un poco de gel/jabón en el lavabo que había en la habitación, pero ni eso. Las paredes tenían al menos 5 capas de pintura y las puertas no se podían cerrar sin dar golpes, y se oía todo. Es un sitio para ir máximo una noche por un precio normalillo y no volver más, merece la pena irse más lejos y más caro. Si al menos la cama hubiera estado aceptable para dormir, hubiera sido todo un poco más agradable, pero ni eso. El local deberia dejar de responder a las reseñas que mejorarán y "que lo tendrán en cuenta", y empezar a mejorar de verdad.

Location was ok. Got a bottom bunk as requested. Bedding was clean. Not much else i liked. Didnt have breakfazt there.

Room was too small for 2 bunk beds in the room. The space between the sink at the end of my bed was very narrow and no space to move. Problematic for a larger person to fit in. Even i struggled being a size 8- 10. Hostel charged for checking in early and for baggage storage. As i was on a budget i paid for a hostel instead of a hotel or bnb so wasnt going to pay more. Lugged my backpack and bags around for a few hours. Also considering people have to check out early by 10am but check in at 4pm which is late. Most histrls check in for 3pm and some check in early. Reception staff wasnt very helpful, welcoming or warm and friendly. Aldo tiny dink on the shower room. I couldnt wait to leave. Key card wasnt to get back in the room after my shower so had to get the lift down in my pjs to get it reset.

La chaleur, le manque de ventilation malgré le ventilateur extra-bruyant, l'odeur de pieds mélangée au désodorisant, et le manque de propreté dans les chambres. Le fait que la lumière glauque dans les chambres "pods" ne s'éteigne pas, ça fonctionne si le rideau est tiré mais vu la chaleur c'est impossible. Et encore, ce n'était plus la canicule, j'ose pas imaginer à quel point ce devait etre horrible.

Lo que más me gustó es la ubicación que está perfecta, sobre todo si después necesitas tomar un tren en St Pancras como fue mi caso. Me gustó mucho la zona y está muy bien conectada con el metro/bus hacia todos los puntos turísticos de la ciudad. También me gustó mucho la cocina y todo lo que podías usar ahí, incluso podías cocinarte tu comida.

La habitación en la que dormí era de 4 camas (femenina) y lo único que no me gustó es que era muy pequeña. Muy incómodo para mover y sacar las valijas de los cajones de abajo de las camas porque no tenés espacio.

Estuve del 28 al 31 de julio y me pareció muy buena la ubicación, cerca a la estación de St Pancras - King´s Cross (la cual facilita las conexiones desde ahí). Si bien el hostel estaba algo alejado del centro turístico y algunos lugares de interés, para mí era más importante tener cerca supermercados, restaurantes, casas de cambio, el metro, el Tesco (meal deals), servicios y lugares que realmente vas a utilizar. Me hubiera encantado estar más días para explorar Piccadilly, Covent Garden y otros lugares cercanos pero debía priorizar el tiempo y preferí conocer otros lugares. El sistema de transporte de buses en Londres puede ser algo confuso (en 2 oportunidades intenté llegar a Piccadilly de noche y no llegué). Recomiendo ir a Shoreditch que me encantó :) y aprovechar la cocina del hostel para ahorrar :D. No tuve problema para llegar de Madrid a Luton, y de Luton a Clink261, ni de movilizarme del hostel a Stansted.

Por poner algo: Un poco más de ventilación en la habitación, aunque si estás tan cansada/o como yo ... dormirás como una roca :)

The Name Clink was what caught my attention... It is a very cozy atmosphere... so you have your bunk your locker and foot room The kitchen seating area roomy Location great walk walk walk or catch a ride ride a bike ... The staff friendly enough they are very stoic...There is an iron. Every one was quiet and polite it seemed almost forced silence The Lubowski movie was on is there a European Version? I laughed ..

It was a bit warm but we had a fan its summer better warm than rainy and cold.

Ease of check in . I was able to complete this prior to our arrival. The staff I met were all OK. The bunk bed in my room was comfortable enough . The plug in fan was welcome. The Wi - fi. Worked in our room . The place seemed secure . I enjoyed the breakfast. There was plenty of choice . Don’t expect a cooked breakfast but the cold buffet was ample with a good choice of juice , tea and coffee.

No real complaints or issues . The lift is quite small but I had no issue using the stairs.

Everything. The pod room was unbearably hot, with no AC and only a very loud fan running all night. There was also a strong sort of vinegary smell, and at one point, someone even brought a receptionist into the room and they… sprayed perfume to try to cover it. They already had the perfume in hand, it sounded like it was a common complaint. I’ve stayed in plenty of hostels, including mixed dorms, and this was the first time I have ever felt this uncomfortable in one.I did not feel safe or comfortable there. I booked a mixed pod room, so I wasn’t expecting a women-only environment. However, I did expect the pod to provide a certain level of privacy, but because the room was so hot, I had to leave my curtain slightly open to allow some fresh air in. Keeping it completely closed made the pod feel suffocating. This unfortunately meant that older men in the room would peek into my pod (why would they stand in front of it and not be in their pod like everyone else…?). I was supposed to stay for two nights, but I ended up booking somewhere else instead, meaning I lost money on my original booking (booked non refundable rate and didnt even ask for a refund), I decided that my safety and comfort were more important than the money I’m sure the staff may have been willing to help had I raised the issue, but I didn’t want to make a fuss, particularly as I already knew there was no air conditioning and because i was exhausted from my trip (also didn’t see myself getting up in a middle of a room full of men to reception and complain, because three of them were awake -including the one who peeked multiple times into my pod, and talking loudly during quiet hours around midnight). It’s the combination of the heat, smell, noise and lack of privacy that made the experience extremely unpleasant.

Lit capsule très bien. Chambre calme. Locker dans la chambre, prévoir un cadenas. Prise USB dans la capsule. Laisser les sacs avant le check-in ou après le check-out coûte 5£. Une cuisine au sous sol. Emplacement top, on a tout fait à pied, beaucoup marché. On peut aller à Camden en longeant le canal. Sinon bus pour le centre devant l'hôtel et métro au coin de la rue ainsi que train. Plusieurs restos et pubs à côté.

Chaleur intense dans la chambre. Mini ventilateur intégré dans la capsule. Ils ont rajouté un gros ventilateur au sol lors du séjour mais dans la capsule ça ne changeait rien.

It's still a sweat box in the heat the UK's had. I was also in the one pod where the curtain isn't fitted properly for privacy (there's a gap at the top that the others don't have). This was particularly an issue in the heat where you want to wear the absolute minimum.

Close to St Pancras station and cheap. I wanted it to be a a pod hotel but it is just a hostel with quirky bed layout.

Il faisait extrêmement chaud dans les chambres notamment dû au fait qu'il n'étais pas possible d'aérer en ouvrant grand les fenêtres. La pièce était moite. La propreté était très moyenne, particulièrement dans les chambres ou rien n'étais vraiment nettoyer. Les odeurs étaient couverte pas une espèce de deodorant puissant très écoeurant. La chambre sentait constamment le plastique brûlé. Les espaces communs comme salle de bain/toilettes étaient relativement propre chez les femmes mais extrêmement sale chez les hommes.

It's easily accessible, about a 3 -minute walk from King's Cross Train Station. The buffet breakfast is totally worth the money.

It was very hot and poorly ventilated, so the smell was bad. There was a giant window on the room of my dorm so light streamed in. The place is not that cheap when you realize it’s every little thing costs money: a towel was five pounds, I paid 10 pounds to store two tiny bags for a day, there locker is tiny and could only hold a backpack or very small suitcase. There is no real common area. Bad vibes all around.

Great location and friendly staff. In the hotter days you could borrow ice packs to help you sleep. Staff helped resolved an issue with a rude roommate. I could book more days easily and get the lower bunk. You can pay 5 pounds to store a luggage piece for a day. 5-10 min walk from Train station, 5 min walk to Tube lines like Picadilly and Victoria. Small conventient store in the street for drinks and snacks.

Small rooms, bed was clean but room not. I placed my suitcase underneath the bed since there was no room to store it. And it came out with massive dust. Bathrooms and shower are limited to the amount of rooms. The common room has no daylight. Not a lot of hanging out or sociolizing is done, while Clink71 in London is much bigger and did more for a sociolizing climate.

Excellent location and the Podbeds are brilliant for comfort, especially in hot weather. Can't really go wrong with Clink as a company, you know what you are getting and they deliever.

Could just be because it was late, but found the staff on the Saturday night I checked in on rather grumpy and were just giving short answers. Also, bathrooms are rather small and not much of a social area. (Hopefully Clink78 will be back up and running soon)

das Zimmer war etwas heiss und stickig, sie haben aber einen Ventilator aufgestellt, was es etwas besser gemacht hat

about 2 am a man come to woman's shower room for taking a shower.

De locatie is top!

De kamer was heel erg klein. De douches waren erg benauwd. Je moest voor alles extra betalen,zoals voor bagage tijdelijk stallen. Er was slechts 1 klein wasbakje op de badkamer op de eerste verdieping
