Reviewed Aug 23, 2026Breakfast is a lovely variety. Location is excellent. Staff are friendly. Porters are helpful. There is a ramp for mobility impaired people, which I needed. Enjoyed the couch and room space and comfy bed.
Short staffed in restaurant. Dinner for 6 of us was delivered at different times, with some finishing their meal before others had received their meal. Sat at 6:30pm for dinner and food arrived at 8/8:30pm a few times over the 5 nights. Room service is not offered and would be welcome, especially if arriving late/working late. Shower gel and shampoo would be welcome, especially when staying for a long time.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026Late arrivals never a problem, friendly staff at all hours, secure parking and most times, night parking security have the best sense of humor!
The note in the bathroom encourages water wise behavior but getting warm water takes almost a full minute of the 2 minutes indicated one should limit their time in the shower.. The rubber seal on the shower door was broken and loose. I needed to reattach it it else the floor would have been soaked.

Reviewed Jun 16, 2026The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the bed was comfortable.
Value for money is the biggest issue. It is not our first stay in the hotel as we travel to Comrades each year. Our hotel in Durban has a higher star rating, provides a buffet meal and has a fridge in every room, and the cost per day is virtually identical, hence a major issue with value for money. The safe in our room would not operate due to a low battery level, and when we walked into our room, we were greeted with a view from our window of a near vertical roof 1 meter away. Very disappointed.
