It was a cold night. No heater was available nor extra blankets. No drinking water was provided in the room, though a kettle and a few things for a cup of tea/coffee were there, there was no water and the kettle was not in working condition. There was no phone available in the room to call to request for any of these things.

My shower drain was clogged as water didn’t drain quickly, we had to shower in our own puddle. The chef responsible for the breakfast wasn’t great, he served me an extremely under cooked omelet with runny eggs. My TV remote wasn’t working, which forced us to watch on phones.

Reviewed Jun 26, 2026I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with you. I needed overnight accommodation on short notice, and it was ideal. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious. It is also ideally situated between the airport—where I frequently need to travel—and Limpopo province, where I live. The free takeaway filter coffee on my way out was a bonus and made me feel spoilt.

When we arrive for breakfast the was not food and we had to wait for our food. The was no one at the food station to assist. The was no extra blanket in the room and there is no aircon. The receptionist was waiting for someone to come open where blankets are kept. we ended up sleeping without blankets. There were some guests who came to breakfast in PJ's, which is unacceptable.

Reviewed May 30, 2026Wenn Pretoria, dann hier. Haben uns sehr sicher gefühlt. Sehr gut geführtes Geschäftshotel mit schöner Poolanlage. Zimmer nach hinten raus sehr ruhig. Nach vorne viel befahrene mehrspurige Hauptverkehrsstrasse. Parkplatz sicher und direkt vor dem Hotel. Grosse Einkaufsmal in der Nähe. Abendessen hat uns gut gefallen. Frühstück war nahezu perfekt (mit das beste was wir auf unserer Reise hatten)! Alles in allem klare Empfehlung.

Reviewed Apr 29, 2026It is the second time I book at Town Lodge Menlo Park. The service is excellent, the rooms are spotlessly clean and it is close to Menlyn Mall and Sunbet Arena. I will sleep here everytime I am in Pretoria.
The linen is clean and white, it just makes noise, I think it is the starch.

Parts not cleaned properly- one of the rooms had stained pillowcases as if it had not been changed from the previous visitor. Walkway carpets were soaked from an unknown source and we had to walk in these - not sure what the plan was as a few towels on the carpet did not help. An incident with the night duty person at reception was rather unsavoury.
