The oxtail at dinner was not fresh

Meals, cleanness and always friendly stuff members.

I did not like the single bed, City Lodge is my preffered accommodation in Durban and Gqeberha, I was not comfortable this time around and this was my first feeling in more than 12 nights I have spent in City Lodge

Great location by the mall. Staff were so friendly (Bessy from reception was so lovely). Rooms were so clean and comfortable. They also provided me with a birthday cake! Really enjoyed my stay here!

Breakfast the first morning was nice. The take away the next morning was a waste . Not impressed. The fruit was old and all the left overs. The muffin was 20 years old and the bread sandwich was wet and real bad. Overall not impressed with the take away.

If the stuff was fresh then that was already a major improvement. Put a banana or a apple in not all the old cut up fruit, Why not toast the bread and make a nice toasted sandwich. I get the impression that they just make the breakfast without any love compare to the wonder full breakfast the first morning. We had to leave early because of our flight.

Im sad of the white blanket with cover not clean from Friday night and Saturday night made me flu and cough maybe it was not change to be replaced a king blanket. I was in hospital last Tuesday until today I am discharged.

Excellent, I would like to book my meeting twice a year going forward, and use your boardroom facilities as well. Please supply me with more information regarding how to book and what is offered for my clients attending, snacks, meals and beverages.

It was my first time staying at City Lodge and I would definitely stay there again. I was worried about noise pollution since the hotel is right next to gateway mall and there no noise. I absolutely enjoyed my stay.

The location is excellent, directly across from Gateway Theatre of Shopping, making it very convenient. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were friendly, and overall it was a pleasant stay. I would definitely consider staying here again.

The staff were exceptional, from security at the door, reception and restaurant. Everything, the distance to Gateway mall, walk ways. My daughter who is a fitness fanatic loved the gym (even though on holiday :-).

Great location in a very secure part of Umshlanga. A very warm welcome from Asandf and Luyanda who kindly let me have an early check-in which was really important because I had a business meeting so wanted to freshen up after a very early start. Great restaurant. Lovely star. My room was brand new, modern and well appointed with all the facilities I would expect from a 4-star hotel. I would definitely visit again and I'd love the fact that you can just walk across the road to the gateway shopping centre

Location is wonderful! In the vicinity of the Gateway mall. Safe undercover parking! Staff are friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make the Comrades runners feel welcome! Even made bfast in the early morning hours for the runners.

The traffic at the mall is very busy over the weekend and sometimes you hear the vehicles till late at night, depending on which room you are in.

I love the location, the staff is generally friendly and it is Value for money. Every year I'm staying there for Comrades Marathon and the Comrades Value adds get better.

The restaurant needs to be more accommodating to us around order times especially when we have arrived late from Pietermaritzburg finish.

The corridors had quite a bit of echoes, and so noise from the passageway was easily heard in the rooms

The rooms were beautiful, particularly the bathroom finishes. The hotel seems recently renovated and as the facilities were still new and I love that they have various charging facilities including a USB-C slot on the wall. The breakfast has a lot of variety. The staff were helpful and friendly.

The elevator was not cleaned, the Wi-Fi was slow most days. The bed was generally low and small for my requirements. Having a toilet brush can really assist as you do not have to wait for house-keeping to clean the toilet area.

The location, the hotel look and feel. I loved the olive green theme in the rooms. Loved the capsule wardrobe and the breakfast varieties suited everyone's needs.

It shows that the hotel was recently renovated and some small details were left unattended. For example, the showers seals were not done correctly and as such after a shower, there would be a paddle of water on the bathroom floor. The hotel manager must ensure that all the finishing touches are done perfectly I also didn't like that I asked for two single beds in one of the rooms and instead was given a queen bed with a side sliding bed. The room was for me and my 16 years old son, and the side bed didn't work. He ended up sleeping on the chair which was uncomfortable, luckily we were only there for one night. Next time please do better.

The rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable. The location is the best because it's a walking distance to the Mall.

As a person who eats halaal food its difficult to have ypur meals with ur family together.You can purchase food but u not allowed to eat at the pool area, u hav to eat in the hotel rooms This is uncomfortable as we traveled in a large group an wanted to.eat as a family at the hotel whilst the kids played at the pool This needs to be looked into as all guests should be prioritized I made a booking for 8 rooms for 3 nights This was dissapointing

I was attracted by the colours and design, and was really impressed when we got to the room. The decor is really pretty. The staff was also friendly, especially the ones that help with breakfast serving. I really liked the facilities.

As much as it is a green idea to have purified water by reception, it's quite far for guests to have to fetch water because we are mostly tired when we check-in. We'd left a note that’s like a "do not disturb" sign, can't remember if it had the same words, because the room didn't need cleaning on our first day there, yet we got a letter stating they couldn't clean the room and they tried reaching us, so I'm note sure what the purpose of those notes is.

There was a party, a fight and so much noise in the next unit amd we were up from 3am till around 6am , security was truly useless and even got intimidated by the unruly group of men amd women jm the unit. No one could help amd we were left to stomach all this The words experience ever

I just want to say thank you to the City Lodge Umhlanga Ridge,I had an amazing Christmas ,I can’t fault them,everything was perfect,the beautiful bedroom decor,comfy bed,from the reception staff were amazing,the restaurant staff were very attentive to everything,overall the hotel staff were amazing , I will definitely be coming back soon.
