The location was great, the room was large, the buffet breakfast and dinner had a large variety of food, and we liked the water refilling station.

I recommend getting a tatami mat room if possible.

Location near Lake Shikotsu was beautiful. I loved the trees in the grounds and the birds they attracted. Deer grazing in the evening. Looking out at the trees and bird feeders at breakfast. The quiet. Lovely helpful staff.

Volgens de site van Booking hadden alle kamers een eigen badkamer. Wij hadden 3 kamers gereserveerd, maar deze hadden allemaal geen eigen badkamer. Wel een wc. Je moest douchen bij de Onsen.

Incredible location short walk from the lake Friendly staff Quality onsen

My Japanese was not good, but the staff were always friendly and found a way to communicate. The room in Japanese style was cozy, and the smell of tatami was one of my unforgettable memories there. Their onsen was spacious and clean, and there was a sauna. The whole place was very quiet, and the guests were mostly Japanese families and elderies (so please inform yourself about Japanese culture, try to fit in and be respectful). One of my favorite things about this ryokan is that they offer daily activities for their guests in the evening. It’s only 30 minutes, but their staff show the guests the nature and beauty of Lake Shikotsu (it was only in Japanese though). Me and my kid had a wonderful experience. The breakfast and dinner buffet were fresh and delicious. I miss the ryokan already.

They offer shuttle buses, but the guests have to make a reservation first. It wasn’t clearly communicated, and the email communication wasn’t efficient. However, when I call them on the phone, they offered me immediate assistance.

The view to the forest, location is very good! Service was exellent, food also great!

There was no private bath in the room

夜間のため、イーバイクで休暇村支笏湖の看板に従って進行したが、100メートル程行ってもわからず元来た道に引き返し、結局そこで車を強引に止め、親切な札幌№のワゴンで車体ごと休暇村支笏湖に入場した。 　後でわかったことだが、ほんの二三十ｍ先に進行していれば矢印で判明したのだが。 せめて、看板に「150ｍ先を矢印に従い進行」と付記していればと思う。

静かでロケーションが最高でした。野鳥好きにはたまらないですね。料理も豪華ではないけど工夫がされていて良かったです。お風呂も混雑していない。

冷暖房が集中制御？で、7月でも寒い日は個別に暖房に切り替え出来ない。ジュースの自販機が現金のみ。

環境幽靜，入住退房有接駁車到公車站。

餐廳內因為有現場煎煮料理，室內通風不好，會充滿油煙味，衣服也是吸附油煙味。

Loved everything about our stay here, the ryokan might be on the older side but everything was clean and well maintained. The staff were kind, breakfast and dinner provided were really good as well. The surroundings were quiet and peaceful and a short walk down to the lake side. Recommended if you love a quiet time away surrounded by nature.

It was an absolute perfect getaway for a peaceful rest. Staffs are very kind and the food was good.

The location was wonderful, in a forest on top of a hill. We could see and hear lots of wild birds. At night, ezo deer often come near the hotel. The meals were good, not exceptional but tasty and allowed us to try local cuisine.

I wish there was an open air bath.

Ottima posizione, personale come sempre in Giappone molto piacevole.

La qualità del cibo, sia a cena che a pranzo, decisamente insufficiente. Assurdo poi che per andare in bagno la notte si accenda automaticamente un vero e proprio faro: spiacevole e totalmente inutile. Basta con queste luci automatiche per il bagno, e così luminose poi!

食事でミニカップなどに刺身等の盛り合わせが、有ったが。 　欲張らないで取れるのでいいと思った。

離れの3階が、宿泊部屋だったので、階段の上り下りがちょっときつかった。 せっかくロケーションが良いのだから、露天風呂がほしかった。

Dinner and breakfast was really good. We love every dish offered for both meals. The room was nice and spacious. Overall we would recommend this hotel if anyone would like to stay at Shikotsuko for the night.

Lovely staff - always smiley and helpful. There weren't many guests so they served is an amazing omakase dinner and breakfast. The onsen was lovely to wind down from the cold weather.

Excellent location with views of Lake Shikotsu and we were there during fall foilage. They have bird feeders outside the dining area with binoculars so you can wait for the chance to see the famed Shimaenaga, we were unfortunately not so lucky. The staff was very helpful, friendly and courteous, and most spoke English well. Rooms were clean, spacious and the bath left my skin silky smooth. They had salt scrubs and different shampoo brands, and had after bath lotions, toners and serums. The food and meals were great, shabu for dinner and the best croissants for bf. Lots of variety for the meals, so you won't get too bored after a few nights stay. Note, rooms only have toilets / sink, no shower and bath. You have to use their bath, but I went a few times and it was empty.

The Shimaenaga did not grace us with their presence...

It is a beautiful, quiet, location in a national park. The facilities are clean, basic and a little rustic.

Some people might worry that there is only a shower in the shared onsen and not in the room.

希望shuttle bus的預約服務可以開放網路預約，因為先前飯店較少回覆booking 訊息，差一點沒預約到。

全体てきに清潔感がありました。 フロントの方の受け答えも丁寧でよかったです。 夜ご飯のデザートを部屋まで持って行けるのが楽しかったです！ 朝の散歩ツアー？みたいなのも一つ一つ丁寧に説明していただけてとても楽しかったです！
