Delta Hotels by Marriott Waterloo

The location of the hotel is downtown Waterloo and in walking distance to good restaurants, a food store, and both Waterloo and Laurier universities. The hotel is very clean and cozy. The hotel's hosts were friendly , professional and efficient. I will definitely stay here again.

They charge you extra for overnight parking

Wow. Wow. Wow. My fiancé and I came here for his work trip and we will be back for leisure. That is how great the staff, hotel, and area was!!! I have never encountered a kinder and more informative front desk staff than here. Thank you Pankaj, Haldik, and Vidhi for making this trip amazing with all of your recommendations. You guys made our first trip to Canada an experience we will never forget! We will be back! Monica + Andrew

Hotel lobby, halls and rooms are very clean!

Bar closed too early.

Close/convenient to wedding and reception venues

Underground/covered parking very tight

Great location in Uptown Waterloo. Pool was fantastic! Staff were very friendly.

A bit pricey for Waterloo.

La localisation et le hall d’entrée

Les oreillers trop gonflés

Location, big bathroom, responsive staff

The pliiwos were too big, not confortable.

Central, easy access , close to family I was visiting. Room was excellent , spacious clean , well laid out , good facilities.

My only complaint was with housekeeping over a couple of days. For the first 5 days of my stay everything was very good however I returned one day and the cups and glasses used had not been replaced with clean ones. The next day , I returned in the afternoon to prepare for an evening event and no housekeeping had been undertaken. I enquired at the front desk if there was a problem and was assured there was not and it would be taken care of asap. It was, however, the room attendant was less than pleasant. The next day housekeeping returned to previous high standard.

Did inquire: Most hotels have better lighting in the bathroom and offer large makeup mirrors. Lighting was really bad and had to go to the outdoor window to see. Odd that there is only one chair to sit in by the window and one desk chair - seems limited for the pricy fees charged at this location?? Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner, rugs need a good steam clean. Fine to not change out bedding over 3 nights but adding more glasses would be nice or changing out along with soap etc etc and towels were few for 2 people.

pool, sauna

breakfast is very basic

Staff truly thoughtful and kind.

Leaving!

Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff were friendly and accommodating, pool was a little cool but the kids still had run, the dry sauna and hot tub in the pool area were nice, the gym is a little small but is well maintained. Location is great and close to lots of restaurants.

Pool could be warmer and the air conditioning was a little loud.

Did not have Breakfast

Nothing if was perfect

Friendly helpful staff nice pool

found the room and hotel too cool

I really like staying at the Marriott and I am a club member but felt when I booked I didn’t really get any “upgrades” with being a member. We ordering dinner the first night and my fish was so badly cooked you couldn’t chew it. Other than that I do like the hotel, just felt that $289 per night was very expensive.

Our food we ordered in from the restaurant….my fish was so over cooked you couldn’t eat it. Rubbery and hard.

Nice hotel with nice pool and sauna

Location is good

No problem about the property

You gave me a room with a bad view. We saw the top of the roof. I thought you could have given us a better view. That room felt cramped because of that view

Over priced for what it offers

Overall good not best

Great mid-range hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good value but for coffee lovers there are great places nearby (like Pilot). I used the swimming pool and jacuzzi which are well maintained and a good place to relax after work.

Had a wonderful stay. The rooms were clean, staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Room was clean. The whole facility was clean. Restaurant was very good.

EV charging: If you are going to have EV chargers please have more than 2 for a hotel that size. And make sure they all are working. Had I known there were only 2 and 1 didn't work, I would have booked elsewhere. EV's are a common thing.

Staff was helpful, room worked well for us and our golden doodle George, and it was quiet.

The restaurant located in the lobby canceled our take out dinner order an hour into the order and couldn’t tell us where we might find some good food. Their reasoning was that they got busy after we ordered. It was already 8:00pm. Thankfully we were able to order a delicious meal at Sole. Proof did refund our money.

Place was nice and clean

Na

Met general expectations of a fine mid-tier hotel.

Nothing bad or to complain about. Maybe just not the newest.

Friendly greeting when I came in. Staff were all very friendly, every space was very clean.

Nothing

Always a great experience. Service of the team is superior. The rooms are new, clean and well appointed. Great breakfast options. If you are a Marriott member, it's an excellent choice.

Good location.

Lack of daily housekeeping attention to our room. Had to request towels, toilet paper.

Great place, run well with good people!

Perfect

Large comfortable room, helpful staff, free parking, excellent dinner in the restaurant

Disappointed in the quality of room service breakfast, but when we mentioned this at checkout they took it off our bill, so can’t really complain .

We stayed here because it was in walking distance of the place we were going for a family get together. The hotel was very nice. We had a few drinks at the bar in the evening and breakfast in the morning which was good. I would stay there again.

we were close to uptown and were able to experience the lumen festival

late night arrival well done

restaurant not helpful

Clean

Great pool. Lots of dining options in walking distance. Clean and pleasant rooms.

Snobe expectations

on 29/8/2025 night I asked the two front desk staffs for where I could get a can of coke, they gave me one from the mini-bar next to the reception, and said it would be on hotel's credit and no need to charge me. This "little" gift shows the friendliness of the hotel staffs.

Clean and friendly. Gym is so-so. Very reliable hotel.

Stay was good, breakfast potatoes were under cooked

Great staff. Convenient. Very nice rooms.

Cómoda habitación para 3 adultos en una muy buena ubicación, cerca de comercio y restaurantes

It was just one night but the room was great

The hotel was recommended by friends in the area. The facilities and staff were very good and the hotel was centrally located.

We went to get the complimentary coffee at the lobby, but was a few minutes late. The receptionist at the front desk went beyond his duty to provide us with a cup of coffee.

Would like to have free parking

Staff was exceptionally nice and went out of their way to be helpful when I arrived at 2am with a ton of luggage. they opened the gym so I could stretch my poor back, offered me fresh cookies, found ways to help me move and store my luggage, and much more.

Very nice hotel. There was nothing we disliked.

The hotel staff and accommodations were exceptional. Unfortunately, the restaurant had many fruit flies around us. The staff during our dinner dining experience, as well as our room service for breakfast seemed annoyed having to deal with customers. That in itself has lowered my rating. Very unfortunate.

Friendly staff, clean, large rooms. Good amenities, and very walkable

Clean and good customer service

Price was higher than other hotels in the area

This hotel was great! Yummy food at the restaurant, friendly staff, and a nice location.

Walking distance to uptown waterloo

no issues
