it was very close to the Excel convention center.

Room (aka Cabin) was fantastic. Staff, Service, Food & Beverages were outstanding.

We had a fabulous overnight stay to celebrate my husband's birthday. The room was spotless, food delicious, and the staff were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay

Everything staff and accommodation was excellent . The breakfast wasn’t very hot and the service inputs was faffy and noisy for other guests . The other guests agreed a hot plate would have been much better than ceramic clinking pots with lids that everyone kept banging throughout breakfast . Other than that it was as brilliant. The staff were so friendly from check-in to cleaners to vet staff and waiters . One waitress was a bit dizzy and left a tray on our table whilst we were getting an update on our coffee and didn’t clean the table next to us very well . I am a caterer and have high waitressing standards but she did do her job with a smile on a Saturday morning .

Common areas are lovely, rooms are great apart from the temperature. We had the fan going all night and the room got no colder. It was 27° in the room. We had to resort to opening the door, which was quite loud being on the City airport flight path

Only issue was accessing lift to and from reception. 1 lift out of service and only way of exiting hotel was by lift which was very busy at times.

The Sunborn was not only value for money with the breakfast being included in the price but the venue was really beautiful. The view from the restaurant was spectacular as we watched the sun set over the city scape which then turned into the night time lights. The manager treated us so well and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The roast dinner was delicious and they treated us to special anniversary chocolates. The venue is near the cable car which is then ten minutes from the O2 where we went shopping quickly in the morning before checkout! All in all a fantastic experience.

Not the best

From start to finish the experience at the Sunborn was nothing but sublime. A stunning yacht, gorgeous room with all the stylish interior. It was a celebration for my partners 50th, so paid for the Birthday package where he walked into Balloons everywhere, including big 50th Balloons, plus champers and very tasty chocolate cake. Food on board was top class and service second to none. Naturally it’s on the pricier side, but had saved up so that we could just enjoy it for what it was. Overall a gorgeous memory made!

Staff were excellent

Very comfy room, compact bathroom, only one lift working which seemed a lottery where it stopped. The main bar had been given over to a private party, the upstairs bar felt like a cross channel ferry’s “posh” lounge, and a bit saga holiday. Good location and convenient for transport to London.

A completely different hotel to what we normally book. Very impressive from the outside and very well appointed. We had a 2 night stay with dinner on the second evening which was very pleasant. Very conveniently placed with easy access to the transport routes. Only comments to add was the slow booking in process which resulted in a cue and also that the Wi-Fi dropped out occasionally.

Such a beautiful hotel my only complaint would be the coffee tray in the cupboard is in the wrong place for ease of use esp if your elderly or have struggles bending Other that I’d definitely book again

Great location for LCY and Excel. Right on the DLR and Elizabeth line. Overnight business stay felt like a mini break.

Staff were superb with clear customer focus and more importantly people who cared what your experience was like, Only word of advice was the beds are the only part of the experience where it felted you skipped the quality, not good when Premier Inn beds are more comfy and luxurious

Amazing unique hotel. Great location. Great restaurant and bar food. Views from river view room were amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Smelly toilet, which housekeeping sorted that evening, however the smell returned. We think the shower was blocked as water drained away really slowly. If you’re not eating breakfast in the nice side of the restaurant, it’s like being in a School canteen, breakfast was mostly cold also!

A very different type of hotel. Very comfortable and roomy. We had a great stay and staff were very friendly and helpful. Sitting on deck in the sun was lovely. One small criticism would be when we wanted a night cap at around 11.30pm after a night out. They would only sell a bottle of wine ( around £36 +) or bottles of beer. It was disappointing that we couldn’t get spirits or smaller quantities of wine! Apart from that we would thoroughly recommend The Sunbourn.

Our second visit here, conveniently situated for exhibition centre and Canary Wharf. Staff are lovely and can't do enough to help you.

Spotlessly clean, fantastic breakfast and top service. Manager on duty over the weekend looked after us so well and was charming and lovely. We will be back!

Our stay at the Sunborn Hotel in London was nothing short of spectacular! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was brilliant—every member of staff made us feel truly cared for. We stayed here to celebrate our anniversary, and the hotel went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. Walking into our room, we were surprised with a heart-shaped balloon, a sweet postcard, and delicious chocolates. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made us feel so special. The entire experience is one I will never forget, and I cannot recommend the Sunborn Hotel highly enough. If you want a magical stay in London, this is the place to be!

Gteat hotel but breakfast needs to be hotter

An amazing place to stay, conveniently located to DLR and Elizabeth Line. Helpful and friendly staff and comfortable room. Coffee machine in room and nice sized breakfast room. Table service in bar and excellent outside area at rear of boat if it’s warm enough outside with view of Canart Wharf. Excellent stay and will definitely stay there again.

Alex on reception was great. Bar staff good. Buffet breakfast, good selection but had better cooked breakfasts tbh. Room clean. Good access for transport

Lovely hotel just needs a pool and spa

The Hotel was ok rooms are dated, there was no air conditioning which made the stay uncomfortable. Staff in the bar were great and so was room service. However the only bad thing I would say is at reception there was a white lady dark hair, on the 13th August 2025 who never smiled and always looked down at customers. I think she needs further training or needs to find another job as hospitality isn’t her thing. The lovely big black lady on reception I’m sorry I forget her name was amazing always polite and happy. A real gem for the hotel. The fridge in the room was not cold. But was o lovely stay location was great. Amenities were all close by.

Couldn't have been better. The staff appreciated my wife's mobility issues, They arranged parking, an accessible room and were very helpful. The room was superb , much larger than the norm and beautifully appointed. A large Queen size comfortable bed.

Spent one night here in August in a riverside room. The ship is lovely, titanic vibes. Our room was huge and had a balcony which was a nice surprise. The staff were friendly and polite. Great location for Excel. Breakfast was good too.

The bars were shut at 11pm at night. Breakfast is very busy, a good selection of food. A good spot for the Excel centre and cable car.

Large room with good quality fixtures and fittings. Great breakfast. Only downside was that the bar shut at 11pm, which I would not expect in a hotel.

Breakfast was good, need to put tea and coffee somewhere else area was too small, bed wasn't that comfy, nice surprise for my husband from outside cuz he was staying on the Yacht but once inside the only wow thing was the stair case rooms where standard just like a normal hotel bit pricey for what it was but expect pricey cuz in london lol, nice area close to restaurants, tube, cable cars and excel centre

What a fantastic experience to stay on a yacht! Absolutely beautiful, staff fantastic, room and balcony incredible!

M only complaint would be when we tried to book dinner for 7pm we were told it was fully booked . We booked 6.30 instead . As we sat there eating we noticed that at 7 nobody else arrived and only 1 other couple after 7 . So to say fully booked was in fact not true

GREAT EVERYTHING.

Most areas of the boat are inaccessible. e.g. Restricted access to top deck. Lots of roped off areas. Confined to the rear of a single deck most of the time. The staff are friendly, but could not provide a coffee on the back deck before 11am - poor service.

Cannot fault this hotel, it was perfect for what i wanted, exceeded expectations, the staff was welcoming and very professional,,cleanliness spot on ,food was good and reasonably priced, breakfast perfect everything you could expect and want, would definitely recommend this hotel.

The yacht/hotel is now looking dated. It is not a patch on its sister in Gibraltar Breakfast is a total bun fight with the whole ship expected to queue for their food situated on a small serving area with staff trying to get thru them to the kitchen and people trying to eat their food with people stood next ton them queuing. It’s dreadful

Booked a night on the Sunbourne to celebrate my upcoming birthday..was a lovely clean boat hotel ..staff were very efficient..especially when coffee nachine malfunctioned..brought another one..The room was lovely..clean and spaceous..the bar staff and stsff at reception were so nice and made my birthday special by giving complimentary drinks.. I LOVED THE CHANDELIER AND RECEPTION STEPS!!

Excellent from start to finish

First visit. Generally very good. Didn’t know about the lift to get to reception as wife suffers from claustrophobia. But staff helped her get stairs. Excellent quality dinner in lands end restaurant We got a free upgrade to the wheelhouse suite. Spectacular I would here again though it is pricey.

The sunborn yacht is a beautiful stunning hotel, the rooms are lovely and the breakfast is delicious.. have stayed many times and always return.

Such a good experience to stay on such a stunning yacht and although the decor is a little dated, it is beautiful and in-keeping with the maritime feel of the boat.

A great place to stay - fantastically presented and great location. Just need to up the game on GF for breakfast - lazy cheffing as GF sausages and hash browns easy to do ; keep saying this over years but they do not learn However - still a great place to stay.

Lovely hotel in a great location near the cable cars. Peaceful location and very clean and spacious rooms with good breakfast. Highly recommend.

We were upgraded by a very nice gentleman to a junior suite, our original booked room had problems with the air conditioning being too hot. The dinner was superb with tender beef and the breakfast also very good. The only problem we encountered was my partner had lost his expensive sunglasses. We returned to reception after checking out and they allowed us to look back in the 2nd room, no luck and no one had handed them in. After looking at the photos we took the previous night, we realised they must have been left in our original room 1030. The lady on reception would not let us go back in to look, she said the room had already been cleaned and occupied. We left disappointed, and then my partner went back to look, it was my birthday yesterday and this had ruined our experience. She managed to ask the cleaner, who could not speak English but luckily an extremely lovely chap walked past called Soefam Da Silva in maintenance, he said he had seen the sunglasses on a table in the room. The head cleaner came along, she still would not give admittance until reception approved. So my partner had to return for the 4th time to reception and luckily the original receptionist was on her break, and a nicer chap phoned the cleaners who then went in the room and returned with the sunglasses. So very annoying the original receptionist did not bother to see things through and check with the cleaners for our access. If it was not for the maintenance chap, we would have lost them.

Amazing two nights celebrating my birthday 🎂 with Hubby and Sons lovely location nice and spacious rooms will use hotel again well recommended.

Had a quick one night stay. Chose this hotel due to its location near the O2 and the London City Airport. Final decision to choose this hotel was its uniqueness. Happy with the choice as it was clean, spacious and all staff I interacted with were polite and knowledgeable. Would stay again should the opportunity arise.

I had a few days here with my grandson. Both of us loved everything about it. Food, particularly the three course meal with prosecco, was wonderful. The rooms were enormous and bed so comfortable. We will be back

Fabulous stay as always great staff clean rooms fab breakfast and upgrade to balcony room was really appreciated. Only one downside which is that the air con is not great.

Can honestly say we really enjoyed our stay. We had an executive room river view and it was fab. Lovely big room comfy bed, tea/coffee, balcony where we sat with a cuppa overlooking the water. The staff were really friendly, breakfast was superb with a fantastic choice. Bar prices as expected in London nothing over the top. All in all we loved it and would recommend.

Fantastic experience. Loved the quirkiness of being on a yacht. Great location and close to restaurants and Custom House tube stop. Room was so spacious and comfortable with tea and coffee. Breakfast choice was great and wonderful to take our coffees and sit outside. The decor was perfect and enhanced the experience. Staff were very friendly. Looking forward to being there again some day.
