Die Suite war sehr groß und gemütlich. Dank Booking.com Upgrade hatte ich die Deluxe Suite mit 2 Schlafzimmern bekommen, wobei das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis extrem gut ist. Das Zimmer wurde jeden Tag aufgeräumt und 3 Flaschen Wasser nachgefüllt (außerdem gibt es einen Wasserspender im Hotel-Restaurant). Kleiner Pool auf dem Rooftop, außerdem ein kostenlos nutzbares Gym. Das Frühstücksbuffet war in Ordnung. Salat, Cornflakes, Toast mit Marmelade und Erdnussbutter, Obst, Kuchen und einige warme Speisen. Mittags und manchmal Abends gibt es ebenfalls ein Buffet für 30-40 RM. Insgesamt empfehlenswert. Wenn die Sauberkeit und das Frühstück besser wäre, würde ich fast volle Punktzahl geben.

Die Sauberkeit ist schlecht. Bei Ankunft waren viele Krümel von Essensresten im Zimmer. Zudem viele Haare und generell staubige Zimmerecken und Schränke. Das wurde auch die tägliche "Reinigung" nicht besser. Das ist aber ein generelles Problem in Südostasien, dass Sauberkeit einfach anders gesehen wird als im Westen. Die Lage des Hotels ist suboptimal. Zu Fuß kommt man schlecht weg, da man lange entlang der vielbefahrenen Hauptstraße gehen muss, um zur Waterfront oder in andere Stadtteile zu gelangen. Das überqueren der Hauptstraße ist kaum möglich. Ich hab es nach dem ersten Tag aufgegeben und nur noch Grab benutzt. Airport-Transfer kostet 75 RM one-way, also lieber Grab nehmen (ca. 10 RM). Später Checkout kostet 100 RM - also lieber das Gepäck abstellen und 2h zur Massage im Warisan Square gehen, das kostet genauso viel.

My room was completely outdated and needed urgent renovation. Furniture was chipped and damaged. The window was broken and couldn't be closed at all. There was significant water damage on the wall in the bedroom underneath the aircon and the floor. The kitchen stated it was fully equipped but the utensils were sparse, dirty and there were no plates or bowls. There was mould in the bathroom and the doors are water damaged as well. They gave the room a quick wipe but it wasn't clean. I booked it as it was close to the airport and I wanted to use the pool. The pool was closed due to an event. I specifically asked the reception staff twice but they insisted I can use the pool but as soon as I arrived at the pool area the staff over there sent me away. The pool looked way smaller than in the photos anyway and not clean. After I confronted the staff at reception again and asked for at least a free meal at the restaurant they insisted I can use the pool later, or tomorrow and they will take to the manager and will get back to me. They simply sent me to my room and asked me to wait for their call as they are busy with other guests checking in. I felt like a child that did something wrong. The issue was not resolved and I had a terrible experience. It was definitely not worth the money I paid for the stay.

Sky Hotel, Kota Kinabalu After researching accommodation in Kota Kinabalu, I came across this hotel. We were travelling around Sabah for 26 days and needed a comfortable base with a pool and breakfast included. We stayed here for 4 nights on arrival, returned for 1 night mid-trip, and finished with another 2 nights before flying home. It worked perfectly as a base throughout our journey. The location is very convenient — close to the airport and within easy reach of the waterfront, making it simple to get around. The hotel mainly caters to Malaysian guests, which we really appreciated as we weren’t looking for a typical Western tourist spot. It gave the stay a more local, authentic feel. Pricing was very good for what you get. Rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Breakfast exceeded expectations with a good variety each morning, and the rooftop pool was a highlight — offering great views over the city and towards the airport, especially at sunset. Overall, it was exactly what we needed: a comfortable, well-located, good-value hotel that worked perfectly as a base while travelling around Sabah.

Didn’t like the way they charged us for an extra blanket, thought this should have been complimentary. Had to complain about a dirty sink, towel and hairs on the toilet in our 3rd return. No problem, I complained and it was seen to immediately

Dit mag absoluut geen 4-sterren hotel genoemd worden. Dw slechtste hotel ooit! Tijdens inchecken kregen wij kamers die we niet hadden geboekt. Toen ik dat aangaf zeiden ze dat we een upgrade hebben gekregen met betere kamers, wat niet waar was. Town ik ze ermee confronteerde, kregen we te horen dat de kamers die we hadden geboekt niet meer bechikbaar was. Omdat ze die waarschijnlijk aan andere hadden gegeven en volgeboekt was. Onderhoud is zo slecht. Kapote onderdelen, gordijnen gescheurd etc. Schoonmaak slecht, overal vies en schimmels. Op de lakens van de bedden waren allemaal vieze plekken. Heel oudbollig. Het was zo erg dat we een andere hotel hebben geboekt en zijn weggegaan. Dit was echt nodig voor je eigen veiligheid en gezondheid. En hier ging het niet om 1 kamer. We waren met 3 gezinnen, dus 3 kamers. Allemaal hezelfde. Ik zou dit hotel aan niemand aanbevelen.

Alte und verbrauchte Einrichtung. Dreckig. Besonders die Klimaanlage wurden seit Jahren nicht gereinigt. Geruch von ranziger Butter im Zimmer. Das Zimmer wurde während unseres Aufenthalts nicht gereinigt. Das Frühstücksbüffet war schon eine Stunde vor Ende der Frühstückszeit zum Teil leer und wurde nicht aufgefüllt. Die Qualität und Auswahl war mangelhaft.

feeling disappointed bcs some of the accommodations rusted like the dustbin, cooking appliances. i think the room is not soundproof😅 bcs i can hear people talking from the other room. also the staff need to explain to the guest regarding the free parking need to be exit within 15min. if not the parking ticket will expired eventually the guest cant exit the hotel. then need go to the receptionist to renew the parking ticket.

Staffs are friendly and accommodating. It’s value for money. You pay what you get . Free parking, big room w kitchennete and breakfast. What else I could ask

It’s an old building, situated beside a dirty river. So don’t expect much but it’s clean and big enough for a family. It’s just that some of the staff when they make up the room, I can still see hair everywhere. If they refurbished it and send their staff to cleaning class maybe they can do more

The rooms were spacious. However, our stay was disappointing because of several issues. The air conditioning in 2 of our rooms was not working properly and was leaking. We informed the staff several times before someone came to check. We requested to change rooms, but were told the hotel was fully booked and that we could change the next day. Unfortunately, no one followed up or updated us about the room change, and the worst thing was we need to sleep in the living room due to aircon issue! We booked 2 Premier Suites for our family, but basic amenities like towels and toothbrushes were not provided completely. When we requested extra towels, we were asked to pay RM10 per towel, even though the rooms were not fully stocked in the first place. Overall, we were disappointed with the service. Our group of 6 families will not be booking this hotel again, and we do not recommend it.

应该是餐厅食物有代改善吧，大众化一些，比较适合不同人的口味。

Room is clean and spacious. Got a bed room and a living room for a decent price. Good TV, we spent some of out time sitting on the sofa and watch Netflix

"During the High Tea on the 23rd, the main menu needs improvement. It was very unsatisfying since there were only fried chicken, satay, and fried fish. The food replenishment was also slow. It was completely different from what they advertised on social media."

Zostaliśmy na lunch w hotelowej restauracji, ale niestety większość dań z karty była niedostępna. Do tego obsługa w restauracji słabo rozmawiała po angielsku.

Helen the manager, seemed to be the only member of staff to get anything done. She was great and a saving grace for such a poor hotel with inattentive staff members (although they were friendly, they were inept).

WIFI - advert says free in all areas. It only worked in reception and barely the corridors. Had to log in each time you moved into these areas. Not available in most of restaurant or appartment areas. Breakfast relatively low choices, compared to other 4* hotels we stayed in during our Malaysian travels. The pool shows loungers in all publicity photos (website and Booking.com) There were no loungers & no bar area. Had to request a clean room, toilet rolls, bottled water, clean towels (The shower leaked, so towels were soaked each time it was used!) and for the room to be 'made up'.
