Beds were uncomfy and televisions were oit of date which wasnt helpful on rainy days and we couldnt access apps to sign in for channels

The Views restaurant was great. Good vegan food and friendly staff.

I was so disappointed in Kimi Ora. Hoped for lovely eco resort with sauna and pool. So many rules and notices. Sauna and pool shut at 8pm so couldn’t use them. Arrived at my freezing motel like unit in the dark and parked off the lane next to it. Officious guy came out from unit opposite, shine his bright head torch at me, didn’t introduce himself and told me I couldn’t park there. I questioned as it was out of the way and I was leaving really early next morning. No, I had to go to a park down the road. I unpacked and five minutes later he came out again, and shone the torch directly at me, presumably to check. As a woman staying on my own, I felt quite intimidated. Still no idea who he was but I guessed by now he was staff. Then the unit, despite a heat pump, was really cold. I had to find some more bedding and ho to bed to warm up. I go through Kaiteriteri a lot but won’t stay there again.

Water in indoor spa was soapy from people's sunscreen etc. Could the water be changed more frequently?

Dream locations was so much to do on site and in the area. The glow work path was a real highlight!! The view and sunrise / sunsets on the bay were magical. I would go back if i could!! Breakfast was super tasty too!!

We came in winter so dining options were very limited. But The beached whale located close by did the job.

Breakfast wonderful. Burser Muesli, crossants. Gf breads. Eggs. All choices. Long lushing breakfasts.Hotties. Electric blanket yum. Heat pump. Views. Comfort. Spa. Warmer pool. Sauna. White robes. Toilet close by. LOVE IT. I come often as i can.

Induction cook top....find annoying & not used to how they work. Had to google. Tight beds....have to pull out all sheets so as i can pull them Up to my neck and to be able to get in and out of.

We absolutely love Kimi Ora. It is our Pacific Island holiday/ Hanmer Springs/ Chill retreat. With world class mountain biking on your door step and fantastic beaches within walking distance the environment is second to none. The spa experience is amazing with three different types of Sauna as well as indoor and outside Spas.

Fabulous stay. Kimi Ora is absolute perfection. Grounds are beautiful. Rooms are huge with drop dead gorgeous views of the estuary and the ocean beyond. Staff was super friendly. Breakfast was delish. Oh, and the hot tubs, saunas, and pools were icing on the already perfect cake! Don’t forget to do the Glow Worm track! So fun and cool. We WILL be back! Thank you so very much!

Awesome stay across all fronts. Kimi Ora is just a slice of heaven. The staff are so helpful and friendly. The setting felt like paradise. The facilities offered all we needed to fully relax. The Continental Breakfast had every choice we could want. And my beauty treatment made me melt with pleasure

The steep drive way, hill starts in a manual car is scary.

Beautiful location and views, very comfortable unit, lovely relaxing place to stay and the breakfast was amazing. We also loved the pools and hot tubs, plus a treat of a massage at the spa. Plus a delicious meal in the restaurant one of the nights. Highly recommend.

Had a lovely weekend getaway with with my husband as we celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary. Such a beautiful location and absolutely stunning view. The amenities are great! We loved the steam room! Breakfast was beautiful as always. Came home feeling relaxed and refreshed thank you ☺️

Our second stay at Kimi Ora, and we are looking forward to coming again. The units are well maintained and spotlessly clean, the staff are very welcoming and helpful. The views over Kaiteriteri are fantastic - beautiful sunrises and glorious days while we were there. The included continental breakfast in the Views restaurant is a real treat. Beware that through winter Views restaurant is open only Thursday - Saturday, so we were unable to dine there midweek. The indoor pool is heated for winter swimming, and the gardens and bush surrounds are really beautiful. Pleasant 20 minute walk to the beach (uphill coming back).

Wonderful family girls' night away for my Mum, my sister and myself. Loved the indoor pool, infrared sauna, steam room and spa facilities. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a great location right by the pool and well equipped kitchenette. Beautiful estuary loop walk from our cabin to the beach and back through native bush. Highly recommend. Peaceful, quiet and relaxing. Surrounded by native Bush and birdsong. Delicious continental breakfast with wonderful variety of homemade kai. Ngā mihi nui.

The view was spectacular and the cabin was comfortable. The host was lovely and unfortunately the restaurant was closed but the host was able to give us good information about possible alternatives.

Some tiredness to rooms. Rusty chrome legs on bathroom storage. Kitchenette cabinet fronts showing alot of wear. Single glazed windows with rubbers coming out. Just general maintainence.

Excellent as usual. Great to have the pool well heated during our stay again. We have always enjoyed all our visits over the years. It still has the same atmosphere and ethos. The up grades are carefully introduced and certainly enjoyed by us. John

We had a wonderful stay at Kimi Ora and absolutely loved it. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the views were amazing, and the sauna and steam room were a real highlight. We also booked a spa session, which was perfect. The on-site restaurant serves fantastic food, so there was no need to leave the resort. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped, even with cooking facilities, which made our stay even more comfortable.

Wonderful experience - staff friendly, food very good, attention to detail made the accomodation so welcoming. Recommend having a massage & doing a yoga class as well as enjoying a swim & spa pool. We look forward to returning again next year.

Loved the view we had from our room and we used all the “aqua” choices available ..outdoor spa, Turkish steam bath, and sauna, the facilities all were clean and pristine Generous supply of towels and extended hours (beyond checkout) to keep enjoying the resources. The night glowworm circuit was like a fairyland !

There is so many positives about kimi ora - a beautiful spot for a getaway with an amazing breakfast. However, it is on the pricey side so I would expect it to be up to date - some basic upgrades are definitely overdue. For example, one of the two spas didnt have any jets working and the shower handle in our room fell off.

Booked no. 17 chalet, 4 b/r for family reunion. Very well equipped and comfortable - 2 bathrooms however 1 shower was very small, not designed for bigger guests. Resort is on the side of a bush-covered hill with great views of the estuary and beach, quite steep access to the pools/restaurant etc from some rooms including ours which proved difficult for people with mobility issues, there are lots of bush tracks leading in all directions which are very nice. The heated pool and spas were great and many treatment services available including a free yoga session. Overall a great experience, of course quite expensive, however an amazing breakfast is included in the rate.

An absolute magical experience for a special birthday treat. It felt like we were on a tropical island. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Good standard of cleanliness and the bed making was superb, with added extras of Origami, chocolates and a birthday card. Breakfast was beautifully laid out and delicious. Love the pool, spa and sauna. A resort with attention to details.

Although not a long distance from town, it is up a big hill - was difficult to get luggage there without transport. Quite walkable, once our belongings were there.

Lovely views, great pools and relaxation areas. We booked different rooms (all that was available) and the staff were great moving our luggage and offering an early check back in. Good breakfast and very comfortable rooms.

Only suggestion would be storage for outdoor furniture cushions as following heavy rain the cushions were soaked.

It is a tad remote (was fine for us, but good to know for others).

we could not reach the hotel by car as planed because the surrounding streets as well as the street directly to the hotel have been changed into rivers - we have informed the hotel by email that we are cancelling the room by this reason at around 3 oclock in the afternoon - some hours later the hotel replyed that now the streets are open again and other guests are arriving - so the didn´t accept the cancelling and charged the full amount.....

Die Lage und der Ausblick ist einfach genial. Das Frühstück war super lecker und das Appartment war einfach klasse. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Jederzeit wieder! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Wellnessbereich ist zwar schon in die Jahre gekommen, aber trotzdem schön. Als kleiner Vebesserungsvorschlag fällt mir lediglich ein, dass Moskitonetze an den Fenstern von Vorteil wären.

The whole complex was excellent value for money including the yummy breakfasts each morning and the serviced apartments!

The blind in my bedroom by my head was quite marked and could do with replacing. The indoor pool area glass could do with cleaning

A really splendid location being in the bush yet looking out over the estuary and the beach rooms beautifully presented gorgeous linen and towels just an atmosphere of privacy and quiet for our bunch of friends who had ridden over from Nelson On the Great Taste trail

Fantastic place! We loved our short stay and wish we could have spent more time here. A little complicated to get to without a car but we figured out how using buses and taxi. The location is beautiful with a nice view and walking trails. The beach with the park shuttle boats is walking distance downhill. The included breakfast was delicious and we also had two delicious dinners at the vegetarian restaurant. The staff were very nice! Would love to come back!

This was our second visit as a couple to Kimi Ora. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay on both occasions. The facilities and service are fantastic, on this visit we dined at the vegetarian restuarant which offered excetional food and a great wine list. I have no reservations in recommending Kimi Ora to anyone of any age group. If you want to chill this is the place. Steve Lawson

Great stay...we stayed on a Sunday & Monday night which meant the dinning room was closed for dinner but the breakfast and staff made up for missed evening meal.. Beds were comfortable and the resident "owl" was a hoot after dark. Easy walk to beachfront

Spacious & comfortable cabin/room with great view over bay. Facilities with indoor/outdoor pools & jacuzzis etc together with more super views. Friendly staff with decent selection of breakfast.

Only vegetarian selection meals (which was ok as only there 2 nights & one evening closed) & misses a trick in not serving alcohol around pools.

Beautiful position overlooking the beach at Kaiteriteri. Nice wooden lodges with balconies, with well fitted, spacious interiors.

It’s on quite a steep slope, you need to be reasonably fit if you get one of the higher rooms like we did room 20. They are not at all insulated for sound. You can hear every word your neighbours are saying.

Lovely, clean property with views of the bay. We were able to walk down to the little town for dinners. Hiking into Able Tasman was fun and easy. Enjoyed our stay!

We loved the peaceful environment and the pool facilities were great. Very handy with the maps provided to all the walks and to see the glow worms. We definitely recommend the place

The only downside with the property was the poor drain system in the shower. It was a disability access room so it had an open shower and with it not draining quickly it meant you had to stand in water that was washing up next to the toilet which wasn’t the greatest. Had to have very quick showers as it felt like the bathroom would flood into the lounge

Stayed in a studio room. The good: lovely staff, location 15 min walk from the beach, clean rooms and lovely balcony. Breakfast was fresh but unfortunately restaurant is closed both nights of our stay so can’t comment. Not so good: rustic timber cabins are basic creaking constantly and don’t keep the noise from the cabin next door. Our neighbours in cabin 4 both seem to have had a good time in the late evening finishing their activities together 😳 . We also shared their conversation on their success and the Apple Watch alarms at 7am. Amenities in the room are basic. Facilities around the pool need a refresh.

We had an amazing stay at Kimi Ora. We had a beautiful bungalow with the view on the shore, a jacuzzi and a very very confortable bed. Breakfast was delicious, everything else was perfect !

Fabulous location in accommodation that lives up to its name. We enjoyed 2 nights at this wonderful venue, enjoying the stunning views from our balcony. We went on walks near the accommodation and watch a Tui feeding in front of us and watched as Pūkeko wandered by. We enjoyed the pool and spa facilities and were lucky enough to join a complementary yoga session .

Further from the beach than I thought. 15 min walk, down a steep hill. (A challenge in flip flops coming back up from the beach) No microwave.

A lovely overnight stay in this lovely town. The resort was amazing. Our chalet was clean and very comfortable. Staff v friendly. The continental breakfast was v welcome. Swimming in the sea was fab.
