Gorrion Hotel Istanbul

Very good Breakfast. Alot of options. Soups were my favorite. Very clean room i was staying at room 1224.the issue i had was that you can hear someone that you can hear someone snoring in the other room. Gorrion hotel need to make rooms sound proof.

The ambience

I would have given them a 5 star if their heating system was not controlled by the hotel. Its odd that you cannot lower the temperature of.the AC

There was no air conditioning from the hotel as they turned it off for all the guests after October 1st - while temperature was quite hot in 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

As always the staff is very friendly and kind. The rooms are clean and AC is so quite.

The hotel was in the middle of nowhere. Luckily, there was a constant flow of taxis. Breakfast was very basic and the signs were not clear of what contained what. Definitely not a Turkish breakfast experience like other 5-star hotels in Istanbul. When I asked about a type of cheese, staff were unclear and not sure. The hostess shrugged her shoulders and turned around when I said there are no empty tables to sit at. A lot of hair around the room. Sleeping was very difficult, as the minibar makes a loud like resetting noise every 15 minutes continuously. There is no hair conditioner. One bottle does all at the shower for hair, body and conditioner!! Not good. Hair dryer is a button you have to hold down and weak. Seriously, a three star hotel at best. The only comfortable thing was the bed but note a double bed is two single beds pushed together.

Excellent breakfast, towels in room are quite old.

The room phone was not working the WiFi was very weak the front desk staff some are not friendly and didn’t speak well English

The hotel is very clean and very well maintained. Facilities and amenities in excellent condition. The front desk receptionist is amazing and made easy to check in. I definitely recommend this hotel

Facilities are poorly managed. Could not even buy a good a coffee! Swimming pool and the spa are managed by people with zero knowledge and experience

Staff are friendly and professional, the room was dirty and not upto standard, airconditioning was no good , the shower doesn't have a door so water goes everywhere, the kettle was dirty , the complimentary slippers in the room had hair on it which was disgusting , room was dusty , the carpet had stains , the bed covers had stiches on it.

Noisy neighbours “drunk” loud voice all night. Hotel looked old with average furniture condition. Breakfast below average. One receptionist was means in the way of dealing with us.

Nice hotel but over priced, Room service is too late you have to call 4 times to repeat (2 hours). Very normal breakfast.

We stayed 4 nights as a family. Everything was perfect. Staff was very professional and kind. We surely wish to stay another time there.

Over all was a pleasant stay, I have stayed there before.

The hotel have serious management and staff issues. No one seems to care and moral of staff and management were very low and in some cases very disappointing.

had to make reservation for pool & buy swim cap for pool. Breakfast not worth the money nor were the drinks

The hotel seems to have difficulty to hire enough trained staff! Absence of structure, ineffective communication and attitude towards work! The hotel staff were polite but suffers from a lack of structural input from the management and this undermines their working environment. Some teams require more supervision than others to maintain high productivity levels. In my opinion this hotel is not suitable for tourist at all.

Room size was great. Rooms were quiet, comfortable and had high end amenities. Breakfast buffet had a lot of varieties and everything tasted good.

Out in nowhere.

The hotel looks good and quite spacious but the wifi did not work all through my stay and I complained but nothing was done. The staff have problems comprehending what I said in English. They need someone who really understands English. You place an order for something and another thing is brought to you. Too many people coming to knock on your door.

Instayed in a very cold nigjt and the room was mot warm enough. I called the reception to fix the the problem and after long time the technician said we cant do much about it. They couldn't provide another solution amd i had to stay in non well heated room. The tv remote was not working and it took again a lot of time to get amother technician to get get it fixed. At the end it was fixed bit took a lot of time and i jad to vall reception few times.

Terrible! I paid breakfast included. Waiter didn't allow me to take it to my room. He told me "if you want to take it to the room, you need to pay extra. you need to eat it here." Come on!! it is not a room service! It is safe for everyone I take it to room! AND! I found a pack of cigarettes with 3 cigarettes and a lighter IN THE BATHROBE POCKET !!! IMAGINE IT! WORST HOTEL I'VE EVER STAYED IN 10 YEARS!

A very pleasant stay and I will definitely stay again. My only complaint is your coffee cups. Paper cups? Not a sign of quality and great service. But in all other points, Gorrion scores high.

The staff was very helpful in all aspects. The concierge was especially helpful in resolving an issue with a taxi driver. I would highly recommend this hotel to others.

Hotel position near exibition and airport and sea not do far. Clean and quiet. Difficult to take shower without having water everywhere as shower door is not in place, strange design.

This property had the option of balcony rooms and rooms with bath tubs, which of your having surgery on the facial area is very useful, this area is popular for surgical procedures so is a perfect hotel for that

We were very disappointed because the reason I selected this hotel was because it supposed to be closed to the airport, but a new airport was built and the hotel is very far away from the new airport.

Far away from airport asked for a three beded rooms they have one double bed and then provide extra foldable bed which was not comfortable

Good value of money, easy parking, cooperative staff

There was dried ear wax, stains and hairs from body parts I'd rather not mention on the exposed mattress when we lifted the pillows off of the bed. No fitted bed sheet on top of mattress

All great with spacious room, great breakfast and free car parking. The only miss is that they declined accommodating me in my room choice which is double bed and it's clearly stated in my reservation. It took long time for them to offer me what I booked.

We were travelling back to Istanbul from Ankara and wanted a place close to the airport to spend the night. There are a lot of hotels in the area but this one stood out for its moderate price and well appointed rooms. Unfortunately, the area around the hotel and all kinds of construction going on, which made our GPS useless. We did eventually get to the hotel and drove into the underground parking lot and took our bags up to check-in. The staff were helpful but we were taken to the wrong room. I had reserved an Executive corner room with a bathtub but the room we were given didn't have a bathtub. I pointed this out and we were immediately taken to a different room up on the 9th floor, this one had the bathtub. The room was very modern and nicely appointed but there was quite a bit of noise from the roof of the factory outside. We napped and then headed down to the restaurant on the main floor for a wonderful meal. The bathtub has the taps at the wrong end meaning its very easy to hurt yourself if the water is too hot as you can't reach the taps from the open end - very poorly designed - they need to fix that before someone gets injured and sues them. I had read a lot about the wonderful breakfast and we were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, when we went down for breakfast it was packed with noisy people who were attending some kind of conference. Check-out was hard due to the crowds as well. Nice hotel, great restaurant and good location. Recommended.

i was there just few hours. It was very comfortable situation.

Some of the hotel staff were very rude however other staff were attentive (Mirna) and tried to apologize for the mishaps of her colleagues. However before you book at this hotel you need to know Cons and the Pros of the hotel Cons are: 1- During winter cool AC is turned off and its only a heater that can work (surprisingly they turn it on when they clean the room so you arrive to your room to find it at 30 degrees Celsius) 2- It wasn't cold and what the room really needed was a cooling AC since the blankets trap heat well. 3- I had to open the window to cool off the room and guess what? the hotel is right next to the airport so prepare to get disturbed by every plane in case you opened your window. 4- On one of the days I found that they replaced my bed sheet with a one with stains so I requested to change it immediately and they did. 5- There was a room with a balcony right under my window and its guests wanted to sit on the balcony at 23:30 and played music on a high volume, however they were Turkish and polite and respectful and turned of the music when I asked them to play it on lower volume. With that being said lets talk about the pros: 1- Rooms are well equipped and relatively new. 2- Facing the hotel there's a small mini market were you can find all necessities at a v good price. 3- Breakfast was really good and even better than that of other way more expensive hotels.

At first reception were refusing to give me the double room I had booked and said I had booked a twin.. even when I showed my booking confirmation.. after 15 mins or so they gave me the room. Generally 4 star standard.. large mould patches in shower spoiled the look and the corridors smelled more of a nursing home or hospital. Some staff friendly and hospitable but others definitely not. Great location.

Very nice hotel. Staff was courteous, helpful & professional. Arrived early in the morning, 6am. They did not have any rooms available for c/I. But that is their fault.
