The staff were very accommodating. Breakfast was fantastic. Location is excellent, plenty of parking on the road.

The single room was tiny and on the top floor, overpriced for the size of it. If I stayed again I wouldn't want to be any higher than the first floor especially as breakfast is on the lower ground floor.

Sofa bed mattress was not great- but this was expected we had a family room and sofa bed will clearly not be the same as a normal bed.

Fantastic location, lovely clean room, friendly staff, nice to have a welcome glass of wine! Tasty breakfast , would definitely stay here again on future trips to Scarborough.

Beds need updating: better quality mattresses, padded headboard. Better quality TV with better sound quality needed. No lift alternative to stairs (I understand that it's Victorian townhouse design would not allow inclusion of one). Cliff lift out of action (not your fault - out of your control).

Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. Excellent location overlooking the Italian Gardens and the sea. Our room was spotless and spacious. Great facilities and decor. Friendly, helpfull and professional staff... and owners. Superb breakfast and selection. Parking close by and the South Cliff Railway that is an easy way to get to and from the beach. Located in a genteel part of town.

The house is a registered listed building & is beautiful.Sits on top of a hill with an amazing view of the sea front & harbour. Across the road are parks walks wirh loads of seating. When arriving our greeting was promt , extremely inviting & friendly . Was offered a complimentary drink on arrival , which was one of those little touches you'll always remember. As for breakfast......perfect. I'm a coeliac, they had about five different cereals for me to choose from .Also lots of fresh fruit & the breakfast team were clued up when it came to offering my cooked breakfast, which made me extremely comfortable knowing there would be very little change of my food being contaminated .

The room (no14) was fine ,although the shower was extremely small , however there was an adjoining door leading to a small single room , which we had use off , with a larger shower. So we ended up with a dressing room! I would have been very unhappy & uncomfortable if that hadn't been the case. Due to that fact we we're very satisfied with the size of the room.

The room was immaculate, although a little smaller than expected. There's 63 steps up to the room, which was difficult. But the hotel is beautiful. The breakfast was tasty and we even had a table set up in the lounge area, because we had out pup with us. The shower was perfect, lovely touch with the dog bowls and treats. The view was beautiful.

In a lovely part of Scarborough over looking the sea with an easy walk into town. We were welcomed with a glass of wine which was a nice touch. Room was very clean with two showers. The bathroom was tiny and larger people would've struggled! Breakfast was really good and the staff friendly and welcoming.

Room outdated i don't know how come they have five star ,breakfast poor ,cold rooms ,we slept with day clothes on ,you can feel the draft throughout windows and doors, the smell of the old carpets will hit you .Not five stars for sure, totallly disappointed

We were a party of 8 motorcyclists, We were warmly greeted outside on our arrival by the host who assisted in parking our bikes. After parking up we were checked in easily and shown to our rooms and an order taken for a complimentary drink (a really nice touch). Breakfasts were spot on with very good choices of drinks and food, all the staff were very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend a stay here and if we are back in Scarborough it will be our first choice of places to stay.

Only draw back is if you are on a high floor there is no lift, so request a low floor if you can't handle stairs.

Everything was at a very high standard, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, full English breakfast was available which was perfect and hot cannot fault the Mansion House and would definitely return

The staff were very friendly. The Breakfast was great. The room was clean & comfortable. We are staying again next year but with a sea view this time.

The room looked out on to the back yard. There wasn’t anywhere we could see to help ourselves to refills of milk pots or tea.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mansion House. The location was fantastic, the room was very clean had everything we needed, and the whole stay was just perfect. I would also like to note the fantastic breakfasts and thank the whole Mansion House for their frinedliness, attention to detail and making our stay so pleasant.

There was absolutely nothing that we didn't like. Faultless!

The only thing I could say was the bed was not comfortable enough for me. It felt like on a slight slope leaning towards the wall apart from that all spot-on.

Our family room was located at the bottom of the stairs next to entrance and was quite noisy late on with people returning to the hotel. Not a fault of the owners or hotel but did wake a few of us up each time.

Everything! From the five star welcome at the door to the five star breakfast, the five star facilities and the warmth and friendliness from all the staff without exception. I loved every minute of being there. The staff could not do enough for us. And the welcome our two huskies got was the icing on the cake.

The view from our room was exceptional. Breakfast was superb. Staff very friendly and helpful. Relaxed vibe - and dog friendly. Nice lounge with good views with refreshments available. Great walks starting straight opposite.

The room got too hot - this is unlikely to be an issue much of the time! But it would've been good if the top window frame could open.

Our room was great, a nice bathroom, good shower & tastefully funished, it had a high seaview of scarborough harbour in the distance. Lovely walk along easy cliff paths or down the cliff railcar to the front. (15mins) In a nice area, quiet at night it was an ideal stay and parking was easy. The breakfast room is really nice, The service is good. and the sitting room with honesty bar is a bonus. Highly recommended.

Parking was tricky. I had to park rather far away to checkin at the time we chose. I then needed to go back to my car and keep trying to park closer, eventually getting it within 20 meters. However, it was a bank Holiday weekend. P.s check the parking signage, as I was parked on a permit only street at first.

The breakfast lived upto the hype, it was excellent 👌 everything about our stay here was perfect. There were so many little little extras that made it so memorable, they even thought about our dog who recieved a lovely doggy corner in our room with dog bowls, treats and a doggy towel. He even got a breakfast 😍 we couldnt have enjoyed more if we tried and will definitely be returning.

When we arrived and viewed our room we were surprised how small it was despite the sea view which we requested. The management were very helpful and we upgraded to a superior room more spacious suitable for a 3 night stay. The breakfast was excellent and organised.
