Reviewed Sep 1, 2026The rooms were very well air-conditioned, and the apartment was centrally located, spotless, and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was delicious and offered a nice variety. Our host, Aldo, was very kind, helpful, and always available, while his assistant, Audrey, was absolutely lovely, warm, and welcoming.
It was a bit difficult to find the place.

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026Les personnes qui gèrent sont au top. Aldo le patron, avec qui nous avons échangé par whatsapp uniquement, a toujours répondu très rapidement à nos questions et a également réservé pour nous le taxi retour vers l'aéroport, nickel. Audrey, qui s'est occupée de nous sur place : petits-déjeuners, chambres etc... est adorable et très professionnelle. Tout était toujours propre, impeccable, et tout était dit et fait avec un large sourire. Vraiment top. Merci à eux. Le petit-déjeuner était parfait : oeufs durs, charcuterie, gâteaux maison, viennoiseries, etc... RIEN ne nous a manqué. Par ailleurs, la climatisation est très très appréciable par 38° à plein temps dehors et fonctionne très bien ! Nous voyagions à 4 (2 adultes et 2 ados) et avions donc réservé 2 chambres. Nos enfants approuvent tout ce qui est décrit ici et ont même écrit un mot à Audrey la veille de notre départ pour la remercier de sa gentillesse (auquel elle a répondu :)). Enfin, le quartier est vivant tout en étant calme. Très agréable. PS : côté parents, on avait même la vue sur le dôme de Saint Pierre en passant la tête par la fenêtre ! (cf. photo)
Nous avons trouvé le matelas de notre lit assez moyen. Mais c'est peut-être spécifique à notre chambre. En fait le matelas était haut au milieu et creusé de chaque côté. Peut-être 2 lits singles qui étaient en fait collés avec un surmatelas ? Mais ça allait. Les enfants ont très bien dormi dans leurs singles. Pas un problème pour nous mais bon à savoir avant : l'ascenseur est très très petit. Pour une personne de forte corpulence ce n'est même pas la peine d'imaginer l'emprunter. Et à 2, il faut être minces et pas claustrophobes. On l'a pris 2 fois (arrivée et départ) à un et avec la plus grosse valise. Donc profils corpulents, et gros bagages, s'abstenir. Sinon c'est 3 étages et demi à pieds matin et soir. Pour nous c'était un challenge entre parents et ados après 15 à 18 km à pieds par jour ! :) A revenir à Rome (ce que nous ferons), nous pourrions y revenir avec grand plaisir.

Есть утюг, чайник, микроволновка на общей кухне, где по утрам подают завтрак. Завтрак хороший. Колбаса, сыр, масло. Различная домашняя выпечка. Кофе варит Одри, прекрасная приветливая девушка. Она же и встречает гостей. Хозяин всегда на связи. Напишу, что не понравилось. Кровати, ну очень маленькие, что в ширину, что в длину. Высокому мужчине совсем не комфортно. Мы бронировали 2 номера. Один трёхместный. Но почему-то был двухместный с двумя маленькими кроватями. Оценку снижать не буду, так как отель хороший.

Reviewed Jun 23, 2026Wonderful and friendly staff, from Aldo's messages pre-arrival and on the eve of arrival, to Christian's kind manner and cappuccino-making skills in the mornings, and then to Audrey's friendliness on our final morning. The staff are exceptional! Our room was nice and spacious, spotlessly clean, and it was great to have a little table to sit and place to hang up our clothes as we stayed for 4 nights. The location is in a nice and safe area and with easy bus access (#87 to Colosseo, for example) around the corner, and the Lepanto metro just 5 minutes walk away. Vatican is a lovely 15 minute walk. Felt like a little home away from home.
No complaints, except we would have preferred to stay longer!!

Reviewed Jun 19, 2026Ein richtig schöner Ort, um in Rom ein paar Tage zu sein. Wir haben uns SEHR wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank an Audrey und Aldo für euren schönen Platz und die gute Frühstücksversorgung. Es gab jeden Tag eine frisch aufgefüllte Flasche Wasser, was bei der Hitze ein Segen ist. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, sogar Cappuccino war möglich. Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen mit einer echt leisen Klimaanlage. Auf dem Zimmer gab es einen kleinen Kühlschrank in dem ein paar Lebensmittel gut überlebt haben. Die Entfernung zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten ist super gut. Wir konnten alles ablaufen. Das Zimmer wurde jeden Tag gereinigt, das Bett gemacht (wir haben uns gewundert und gefreut) und nach 2 Tagen frische Handtücher. Wir würden wieder dort übernachten. Danke!

Reviewed May 31, 2026Das Relais hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Unser Zimmer war sehr großzügig, extrem sauber (!) und mit Lage zum Innenhof. Dadurch war es extrem ruhig und wir haben gut geschlafen. Wir hatten sogar ein Bad mit Fenster. Wir hatten je zwei verschiedene Kissen zur Auswahl. Die Lage ist top. Hervorzuheben ist der Service. Aldo und sein Team sind sehr bemüht, kümmern sich um alles, was man benötigt und sind wahnsinnig freundlich. Da steckt viel Herzblut drin. An der Ausstattung haben wir uns sehr über die Klimaanlage und den Kühlschrank (immer mit frischer Wasserflasche) gefreut. Alles in allem, können wir die Unterkunft bedenkenlos weiter empfehlen.

Reviewed May 31, 2026I stayed at this little boutique hotel woth my two kids for 3 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. Aldo, the owner went out of his way to make sure we knew how to get to the hotel. The room we had was spacious, clean and comfortable. The aircon was ace considering the local temp of +32C. The breakfast was brilliant with traditional home made cakes and the staff was incredibly polite and welcoming. Huge shout out to Audrey who looked after us so well at breakfast, she is wonderful. The location is also very good, within walking distance from the Vatican and other attractions.
The bathroom was small but...hey who sleeps in the bathroom?

Reviewed May 28, 2026My stay at Relais Cola Di Rienzo was excellent! The furnishings are quite elegant, everything was spotless, and all the amenities were thoughtfully provided. It’s close to Metro and bus stops. The host and staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They provided homemade cakes for breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Rome. If I come back to Rome, I’ll absolutely stay here again!

Reviewed May 26, 2026aldo and his staff (audrey and christian) were amazing. Audrey was always greeting us every morning with a smile. Aldo was always available to answer our questions. Christian assisted us to our room and helped us with one of our luggage (we were very grateful) Also, utilize their taxi as well, was less stressful for us to go to the airport. I just informed Aldo and he set up everything for us. Would definitely stay here again.

The owner was exceptionally quick in responding to our messages so top marks to him. Audrey was absolutely fantastic, friendly , informative, helpful such a lovely person, she couldn’t do enough for us to make our stay memorable . All in all 5 stars from us

Reviewed May 15, 2026Room was very clean and had everything you need (there is enough space to put your things, mini fridge, towels in the bathroom). Location is really great, we didn't use metro, we were just walking every day and could see vatican and all attractions, but if you want, metro station is close and also station for shuttle bus to the airport is close. Lady that is working on the breakfast and cleaning the room is super nice and helpful for all tourist information. Overall, if I ever come back to Rome, I will check if this accommodation is available!

Reviewed Apr 14, 2026Die Zimmer waren sehr groß und Picco Bello. Das Frühstück war für italienische Verhältnisse sehr gut. Die Angestellte, die einen rundum versorgt hat, war sehr, sehr nett und fleissig. Die Lage war für uns hervorragend, vor allem, wenn man mit dem Sit Bus vom Flughafen kommt, und dorthin zurückfährt. Man ist auch zu Fuß überall recht schnell ( bis mitten in die Altstadt, zum Beispiel Piazza Navona) ca. 20 Minuten zu Fuß. Unsere Zimmer, 5 und 6 waren sehr ruhig, da sie zum Innenhof liegen. Aldo, der Chef war sehr hilfsbereit, als wir Probleme aufgrund eines Flugstreiks hatten. Sollten wir nochmal nach Rom reisen, werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder dort übernachten. Danke für alles!

Reviewed Apr 7, 2026A szállás gyakorlatilag egy emeletes lakóház egy átalakított lakása néhány szobával, saját fürdőszobával, viszont közös étkezővel. A szállás biztonságos - az ajtaja belülről egy alcatrazi cellaajtó benyomását kelti. A szállás egy forgalmas kereszteződés közelében, motorparkoló, esti terasz és hulladékgyűjtő konténerállomás fölött található, mindezek ellenére meglepően csendes hely. Ha jól emlékszem, a harmadik emeleten található, de van lift is, ami kulcsra működik. A házigazda (...a mi esetünkben hölgy) nagyon kedves és előzékeny volt. Kaptunk túristatérképet a városról, bejelölve a legfontosabb látványosságokat javaslattal, hogy milyen sorrendben látogassuk meg azokat. Sok hasznos tanáccsal látott el minket. A reggeli elfogadható volt, ...aki szereti ez édes reggeliket, annak ez egy szuper választás. A közelben van egy "mindenes bolt" és a metró sincs messze. Nagy pozitívumnak számított, hogy a kijelentkezés napján még estig ott hagyhattuk a poggyászainkat, azután ott átöltözhettünk és használhattuk a mosdót.
A liftet csak a nem túlsúlyosoknak és a nem klausztrofóbiásoknak ajánlom, ugyanis a mérete kb 0,5 x 1 m! Egy, max két fő (csomagok nélkül) fér el benne. Az el nem túlzott méretezés a zuhanyozósarokra is érvényes - túlsúlyosaknak és 2 m körüli magasaknak már elég komoly problémákat okozhat. A reggelinél felvágottakból, sajtokból szerény volt a kínálat, de éhen nem lehetett halni.

Reviewed Apr 3, 2026Sehr saubere und geräumige Zimmer, bequeme Betten und mit allem ausgestattet was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht. Tolle Lage, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß in 15- 20 Minuten erreichbar und die nächste Metro Station war 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, Käse, Salami, Schinken, Müsli, Joghurt, frisches Obst, Eier, selbst gemachter Kuchen, leckere Croissants und Kaffee in allen Variationen… Ganz besonders Lob an Audrey die uns herzlich empfangen hat und immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit war, auch an Christian den zweiten Mitarbeiter der uns am letzten Tag betreut hat. Aldo der Besitzer war immer erreichbar und hat, wie das ganze Team dafür gesorgt das wir uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt haben.

Co bolo trocha rušivé, dlho do noci bolo počuť ruch z ulice. Nebude platiť pre izby z výhľadom do dvora.

Reviewed Mar 11, 2026So many wonderful things to say about our stay! Aldo the manager is constantly in touch via what’s app to make sure everything is good. He is very responsive to all your needs. The room is simple but everything is high end. The bed and pillows are super comfortable. The TV is a smart TV and you can log into all your accounts. The Internet is excellent. The room is HUGE! It is the biggest room available in Rome/Europe. The bathroom is also big! Everything updated, very clean and has the necessary toiletries. The water pressure is excellent. The air conditioning works perfectly. The area is safe and close to many points of interest. The room is also very safe. There is a key to enter the main building, a code to enter the lobby/check in area and then a key for your room. The breakfast manager is Audrey. She is super sweet and kind and enjoyable to speak with. The breakfast has a wide variety of pastries and cheeses. They also leave jugs of drinking water for use when you come back in the evening which was a great detail. There is also water in your room. This was one of my favorite stays in all of Europe. You will not be disappointed!

Reviewed Jan 25, 2026Tutto fantastico, colazione stupefacente con torte fatte in casa deliziose ed ogni prelibatezza, compreso anche un po' di salato. Camere pulite e spaziose, ben arredate. Palazzo elegante nel cuore di Via Cola di Rienzo, da cui il centro storico è raggiungibile a piedi con belle passeggiate. Sistema di self check in preciso ed esaustivo. Un ringraziamento particolare alla dolcissima Audrey! Torneremo!

Reviewed Jan 20, 2026Tolle Lage, gut zu erreichen, Kommunikation mit dem Host über Whatsapp war problemlos. Das Zimmer war sehr groß. Der Host hat uns eine Liste mit seinen Restaurantempfehlungen geschickt - die Liste ist gold wert!!
Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig, wir hatten das Fenster straßenseitig, und nachdem das eine stark befahrene Straße ist und darunter einige Cafes sind, war es nachts wirklich sehr laut. Es war nicht sonderlich sauber, und im Badezimmer hat es nach Kanalisation gerochen (vermutlich aufgrund der Infrastruktur des sehr alten Gebäudes). Frühstück war auch sehr überschaubar, keine große Auswahl, Qualität war aber gut, Kaffee ebenfalls gut. Frühstückszeit erst ab 8h, recht spät.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Wspaniałe miejsce. Byliśmy tam niestety tylko 3 noce, ale na pewno wrócimy. Przemiły personel, Pani robiąca świeżutką kawę do śniadania zawsze uśmiechnięta, bardzo pomocna. Każdego dnia podpowiadała nam jak najdogodniej dostać się do miejsc, które chcieliśmy zwiedzić. Cisza, spokój, czułam się bardzo bezpiecznie i komfortowo pomimo że za oknem samo centrum Rzymu. Z okna widać kopułę Bazyliki Św. Piotra, także wszędzie było blisko. Śniadania były świeże, może nie jakiś wielki wybór, ale jak na Włochy gdzie śniadania są raczej na słodko, tutaj można było zjeść też coś bardziej treściwego (jaja, szynki, warzywa, pieczywo itp.). Miejsce ma swój urok i fajny charakter - taki wyjątkowy klimacik. Polecam!

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026La ubicación es excelente, el barrio precioso y muy tranquilo. El edificio muy bonito. Hay una parada de autobús que conecta con el aeropuerto muy cerquita y eso se agradece. La habitación muy grande y espaciosa. Hay restaurantes cerca, parada de metro, el Vaticano relativamente al lado y todo lo demás de muy fácil acceso. La verdad que hemos estado muy a gusto!
Seguro q siempre hay cosas que se pueden mejorar pero hemos estado tan a gusto, que ahora mismo, no las encuentro;)

Apenas não utilizámos o elevador por ser muito pequeno, tendo optado pelas escadas para aceder ao terceiro andar.
