L'hotel è un'oasi di pace vicinissimo sia alla Medina che alla Ville Nouvelle. Può sembrare un hotel un po' datato ma penso che quello sia il suo fascino. Molto bella la piscina. La colazione a buffet offre un'ampia scelta di cibi dolci e salati. Molto bella la terrazza del ristorante principale. Il personale è molto professionale.

J’ai passé un séjour extraordinaire. J’ai eu l’impression d’être une princesse, ça vaut vraiment la peine. Leur jacuzzi chauffé et leur sauna étaient très relaxants, j’ai dormi comme un bébé après. Je le recommande vivement !

Het ontbijt was geweldig, ook goed personeel! Eten in restaurants ook geweldig goed. Fijn zwembad ,fijn bed Geweldige locatie bij de medina. Fijne sfeer in het hotel.klasieke inrichting We hadden 3 dagen geboekt en hebben nog een keer 3 dagen bijgeboekt Aanrader

Een paar verbeter punten zijn: Personeel in de rooftop bar niet attent en allert genoeg. Douche kop in de douche bleef niet zitten. En ik zou bij de Pool menukaarten neerleggen. Je kunt bestellen maar is niet duidelijk voor de gasten.

Es un edificio bellísimo con historia, las habitaciones grandes, con una decoración muy especial, totalmente reformado, es como si estuvieras pisando la historia de Tánger. La ubicación es inmejorable en pleno centro, un poco antes de la entrada de la Medina. Puedes aparcar el coche dentro para mayor seguridad. El desayuno muy bueno y variado tipo buffet. Para cenar fantástico. Y bien de precio, incluso tuvimos hasta un espectáculo de música y danza muy bonito. La relación calidad precio es buena y la habitación no es del todo barata, pero todo se lo merece y está bien empleado. Soy viajero habitual por el mundo desde hace 25 años por trabajo y por amor a los viajes, mis críticas intento sean lo más objetivas posibles. Este Hotel después de venir el año pasado hemos vuelto a repetir y es la manera de tener una estancia en Tángercon broche mágico.

le personnel est souriant, accueillant et très chaleureux. Le petit-déjeuner est excellent, la propreté irréprochable et les chambres sont très agréables. La vue est magnifique et le cadre particulièrement calme et apaisant. Tout est réuni pour passer un très bon séjour.

Prachtig mooi "boetiek hotel" Schoon en gezellig Goed personeel en heerlijk eten! Top ontbijt! Mooi zwembad,gezellig barretje om zalig een drankje te doen Prachtig terras om te dineren met live muziek. Kortom een aanrader!we hebben zelfs 3 dagen bijgeboekt. En 2 minuten lopen naar de medina.

Un posto meraviglioso, con un'atmosfera d'altri tempi. Ottima la tajine mangiata al ristorante sulla splendida terrazza. Colazione varia. Ho letto alcune recensioni sui bagni "datati", io invece trovo che fossero assolutamente in linea con lo stile dell'hotel. Posizione ottima per esplorare Tangeri.

This is a lovely hotel with old school charm to it. The staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive. The room we booked was large, clean and pleasant. The bed was comfortable — the pillows however tend to be either too thin or too thick but eventually found a couple that were just right. The room gets cleaned every day. The towels and bath ropes were great quality and changed daily. There was daily supply of free mineral water, and although this isn't mentioned in the description, our rooms had kettle, tea and coffee. There's also a mini fridge which was handy. Location is great, very central, close to the Medina and Casba, and about 20min walk from the beach. There are also plenty of taxis outside the hotel. it's a bustling area but the hotel feels like a very calm getaway. The manager also arranged a lovely, knowledgable, english speaking driver — Ahmed – to take us on excursions outside Tangier at a reasonable price. Breakfast is wonderful, with a variety of fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese and cold meats, pancake and omelette stations and cooked dishes, with staff always at hand and were lovely and helping us and the kids during breakfast. There's also a good bar menu with food served at the bar or poolside, and they serve a small selection of tasty Moroccan beers and wine at reasonable prices. We didn't try the restaurant because it doesn't really cater to vegetarians and children, and one of us is veggie. The pool is gorgeous and clean with plenty of seating around it – finding available sun loungers was never an issue.

The bathrooms were quite small and could use refurbishment. The bath plug was broken in all the rooms we had, and it was impossible to stop water from the shower from splashing outside, but on the positive side, the bath and floor were not slippery and the water pressure is good. There was daily live music on the terrace outside of the restaurant that went on until 23:00. We were staying with children and in any case tend to go to sleep earlier so the constant noise was a real nuisance to us — but the hotel manager moved us to rooms facing the pool where the music could not be heard (luckily, two were available. Had the hotel been fully booked, this would've been a major issue for us, but of course less of an issue for people who go to sleep late). The rooms facing to city give a nicer view but even with the double glazed windows, you'll hear some traffic noise so less suitable for light sleepers in my mind, but pool view rooms were very quiet. This is the only minor downside of staying at a central location and not the fault of the hotel.

Le Personnel non professionel

For a hotel that calls itself five-star, this was disgraceful. Management needs to look seriously at how staff are trained, because what I watched wasn’t hospitality — my husband was sorted by the language he speaks.

I was refused service at the hotel bar because I spoke Arabic. The staff were serving alcohol to other guests without question, but once they heard me speak Arabic they decided I shouldn’t be served — despite the fact that I’m a US citizen and a paying guest like everyone else. Being singled out and judged by the language I speak is not something I expected at a property that markets itself as five-star. This is a basic training and hospitality issue, and management should address it.

El edificio, sus terrazas, la cama, el personal y su dispongo para ayudarte,personas como Soraya hacen que te sientas más como en casa, la ubicación perfecta. La limpieza. Las cenas. El desayuno el rghaif ( q todo el mundo llama crepe) y las Harchas.

Pondría enchufes más modernos en las habitaciones, y más luz, u otro tipo de bombillas. En periodo de cancelación gratuita , intenté reducir estancia dos noches, y no conseguí bajar precio de la estancia, tuve que mantener (aunque me fuera antes) porque al reducir noches se encarecía. Y Booking lo intentó gestionar, el hotel achacó el problema a Booking, pero nunca me quedara claro, nunca tuve problemas cuando le planteé algún conflicto a Booking.

The historical hotel where Matisse was staying is perfectly located just on the corner of old city. The building is charming with beautiful view from suite. But it needs some renovation. The suit is enchanted with the historical spirit. The view from the dinner restaurant is amazing and it was accompanied by Arabic traditional musicians. The service during breakfast was excellent and very attentive.

The noise in the room from upstairs was super loud. Also we were disappointed by the slow and inattentive service at the dinner restaurant. Also we expected to stay at piano bar, but it was always closed, although the light was there.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à l’Hôtel Villa de France à Tanger. Tout était parfait, de l’accueil au service, avec une équipe chaleureuse, professionnelle et toujours disponible. Une mention toute particulière à Lhaj à la réception, qui s’est occupé de nos réservations avec beaucoup de gentillesse, de professionnalisme et d’attention. Il a été absolument magnifique et a vraiment contribué à rendre notre séjour encore plus agréable. Merci infiniment pour votre accueil et votre bienveillance ! Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir et recommandons vivement cet hôtel. ❤️

Mauvaise expérience en ce qui concerne une commande de thé, on nous a toujours facturé 40 dirhams la théière puis un jour on a commandé une théière on nous a facturé 120 dirhams, ensuite au dernier jour je suis restée dans l’hôtel je ne suis passée par la réception pour le check out qu’à 20h on avait passé mes consommations dans la chambre de mon amie qui y séjournait également. C’est très choquant comme procédé j’ai aussi réclamé une facture de mon séjour on m’a dit pas possible car la chambre est fermée.. bref déçue du personnel et de l’organisation

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à la Villa de France. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par Mr Mohamed Ben Chekroun. Et le fidèle Asan. Notre grande chambre était magnifique avec une vue sur la mer et la médina, c’était un séjour inoubliable. La femme de chambre était très professionnelle, et nous a réservée une jolie surprise le 1er soir. Quelle émotion d’avoir pu visiter la chambre de Matisse , merci ! Et le petit déjeuner est copieux et de grande qualité Petit bémol : nous avons été déçus de ne pas pouvoir prendre notre petit déjeuner sur la terrasse comme on nous l’avait proposé, le très beau piano bar était fermé ! Et l’happy hour et la qualité des plats à la Paillotte sont un peu décevants et ne sont pas dignes d’un hôtel d’une si grande classe Félicitations au personnel pour son accueil chaleureux et son professionnalisme ! Et à bientôt !

El hotel tiene un encanto especial, la hospitalidad, profesionalidad, amabilidad de los empleados es excepcional. Las instalaciones son increíbles, la ubicación es fantástica.

Un hôtel historique rénové qui a gardé son charme d'antan, avec un personnel prévenant et une chambre très confortable. Parking et grande piscine, diner sur la terrasse qui surplombe la ville, un séjour exceptionnel qui nous a ramené au temps où Matisse peignait depuis une des fenêtres.

Après mon passage à la Villa de France, j’ai trouvé tous mes autres séjours fades ! Ma petite famille et moi avons passé un merveilleux séjour ! L’hôtel a gardé l’authenticité d’un accueil et d’une hospitalité à la Marocaine. Le personnel et surtout les « anciens » étaient chaleureux, nous étions accueilli comme de la famille (je dirais mieux même !). L’attention portée pour notre fille nous a beaucoup ému tellement cela respirait la sincérité. On sent que le personnel aime leur travail et est engagé dans un service de qualité. Même le Monsieur du parking j’ai failli lui faire la bise en partant tellement il était gentil et nous a même fait des Duhaa (les anciens les meilleurs !!!) Alors les petits déjeuners…. Je n’ai pas osé dire à ma mère que leurs Msemens étaient meilleurs que les leurs car oui je suis une connaisseuse de la gastronomie Marocaine. Même les déjeuners et encas à la piscine étaient délicieux

Die Unterkunft war sehr komfortabel. Besonders gut gefallen haben uns der freundliche Service, der Pool und die Lage unseres Duplex direkt am Pool. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Wir waren zwei Nächte dort und hatten erwartet, dass das Zimmer am nächsten Tag kurz gereinigt und die Handtücher gewechselt werden. Leider wurde dies nicht gemacht. Außerdem sollten auch die Terrassen kontrolliert und gereinigt werden. Auf unserer Terrasse stand noch ein Glas mit Zigarettenresten vom vorherigen Gast, was besonders mit Kindern nicht angenehm war.

Super aardige personeel. Na te lang bij de doane te hebben gestaan mocht ik toch nog uitslapen tot 3 uur aangezien ik om 6 uur ochtend pas aankwam Eigen parkeer gelegeheid om eigen terrein beveiligd wat heel prettig is.

De buurt is een beetje een achterstandswijk waar je avond als toerist liever niet loopt. Maar ze hebben een afgesloten terrein. Kamers zien er op foto groter uit dan werkelijkheid

The hotel is in a really good location. There were all the amenities we needed to have an enjoyable overnight stay. The staff were friendly and helpful and we received really good service all round.

El día que nos alojamos había una fiesta en la piscina con música muy fuerte que no paró hasta las diez de la noche, algo bastante molesto si necesitas descansar.

It was a very romantic and elegant hotel with a nostalgic feel. The personnel were excellent, polite and welcoming. The room very comfortable and breakfast was varied and delicious.

Only the music by the pool one afternoon which was very loud.

Top Lage , sehr freundliches Personal und super Frühstück in arabischem Ambiente. Jederzeit gerne wieder

Les parasols en nombre insuffisant autour de la piscine et des pieds. Pas assez lourd pour supporter le vent fort agréable en été. Il pourrait être bon et utile de réfléchir à la pose de paravent autour de la piscine, ce qui augmentera la zone d’ombre et résistera au vent, mais pour le reste tout est parfait

Magnifique hôtel , très bien placé , proche de la médina , en hauteur , au calme . Belle terrasse surplombant une partie de la vieille ville , avec une superbe vue . Restaurant , piano-bar , piscine . Personnel impeccable.

Very old hotel, dorty rooms, mosquitoes didn't let me sleep all night, facilities are very outdated and not even worth a 3 stars

Practical location in centre of town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very nice buffet breakfast. Good selection - however you had to pay 30dhms for an expresso…Beautiful terrace looking out over the sea in the distance.

Very shabby and old fixtures and fittings in rooms and communal areas. Old shower fitted over a bath with black mould round the side and a cockroach in my daughter’s bathroom. Pool area cramped and no lounger cushions. Our room had a “private” terrace leading out onto the pool area but other guests freely sat on our terrace. No sugar for coffee machine in room. Coffee machine faulty. Dirty empty mini bar.

Des clients pseudo-wokistes-artistes français venus le même week-end que nous et qui venaient pieds nus dans la salle des petits-déjeuners. Quel manque de respect vis-à-vis des Marocains Ils m'ont fait honte.
