Room was very clean, there was absolutely everything that you needed and at a very reasonable price. It is a lovely house that has been well thought out and done and had a lovely calm feeling to it. The breakfast was also really lovely and plenty of choice. So glad we found this place & will definitely be coming back again in the future.

A couple of small areas in the room where the paint needs a little touch up, but that definitely did not disturb our stay.

The room was perfect for a solo traveller. It was peaceful no unnecessary noise encountered during my stay. Plenty of choice for breakfast.

We had a very pleasant stay at Grosvenor Lodge and would definitely recommend it. The house is very well maintained, beautifully presented and conveniently located, with the beach only a few minutes away by car. There are plenty of parking spaces available as well. On arrival, a welcome bag with useful information had been left for us in the entrance area, which was a nice touch. Any questions I had before our stay were answered promptly and very kindly. The owners were very friendly and rather quiet in their manner, both on arrival and during breakfast. The entrance area, hallways and our room were all extremely clean, tidy and very well maintained. The whole house also smelled fresh and clean and was very pleasantly decorated. We stayed in a family room with three proper, comfortable and good-quality beds. The room offered plenty of space for the three of us and had everything we needed, including a TV, bathrobes in the wardrobe and even air conditioning. This was the only B&B during our trip that had air conditioning, which was especially welcome as the weather was very hot. The private bathroom was also very clean, comfortable and well equipped, with shower gel and other toiletries provided. Breakfast is self-service and could best be described as an extended continental breakfast. You can boil your own eggs and make your own toast, and there is a fridge with a good selection of cold meats, smoked salmon and cheese. There were also yoghurts, cereals, croissants and other pastries. The croissants tasted particularly fresh and were delicious. There was plenty to choose from, and everyone could simply help themselves to whatever they wanted. Overall, we all felt very comfortable here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was exceptionally clean, well organised and welcoming. The comfortable family room, good parking, air conditioning and generous breakfast selection made Grosvenor Lodge one of the nicest B&Bs we stayed in during our trip.

Although plenty of choice at breakfast it would be nice to have fresh bread and pastries. I appreciate that may lead to waste as guests are unpredictable in their choices so can understand why you stick to sliced bread and long life products.

Parking was very tight - was worried I had blocked other guests in - had to park almost in a hedge - just 4 spaces . Didn’t really get to meet the owner so can’t comment on friendliness. Whilst the room was advertised as small it was too small for a couple as getting out of the bed without walking into a wardrobe was a challenge ! Probably should have been a single room .

Perfect place to stay if you are visiting the area. We stayed for one night & our room was at the top. It was very clean and we enjoyed the little shortbread that was left for us. Bathroom was spotless with a decent shower. The room was decorated really nice & had shutters, the beds were really comfortable. We all had a really good night’s sleep. The only problem we had was we couldn’t get the tv controls to work but we didn’t contact the host to ask her to sort the problem as we was only staying the one night & we was tired from a busy day. I would definitely recommend this guest house. It’s close to everything & good value for money. We also enjoyed breakfast.

The size of the room was too small. The beach was not as close to the guest house is indicated online.

Air con in the room

No hot water, size of the room was extremely small and bathroom had a broken shower door. Poor breakfast - i wouldnt call it a breakfast - it was a small selection of random things. Windows couldnt be opened so we had to sleep with air con on because without it the heat was just insane. The size of a bathroom - if you step out of the shower you could land in the toilet if you take a proper step. The 3 bed in the room with a mattres that had spring which made my back hurt like hell in the morning. I dont know how 3 people can fit there. We were party of 2 and with our bags we could barely reach the bathroom without breaking anything.

I was pleasantly surprised by the self-serve breakfast, which was both delicious and filling. The room for four was very spacious with the exception of the bathroom. If you’re a tall person, you may have some problems there.

The room for two persons was pretty cramp and if you’re traveling internationally and happen to have large suitcases, that particular room might not be adequate for you.

Very clean comfortable room

This place is a small paradise! We were upgraded to Room 4 which is a delight. The tea-coffee-freshmilk-fridge corner was the cherry on the top. Breakfast was delicious, high quality and a lot of variety, much more than we expected. We also want to highlight the amazing housekeeper, Regina, she runs the place so beautifully and she is pure joy. Thanks a lot!

Easy parking and lovely quiet room. Well appointed and perfectly clean. Host goes out of her way to provide a great experience. Self service continental breakfast with a wide choice suitable for every taste.

We found it a little difficult upon arrival to understand how to access the key. It is in a lock box down the side alley on the left of the house NOT in the porch at the front which belongs to the neighbour.

The warm welcome of the owner of the place and her staff. She was very helpful for us to park the car there before the required checking time.

A lovely warm welcome. Location fantastic. Beautifully quiet and peaceful. Lovely breakfast, tea tray in room replenished daily. Only a 10 minute walk to the quay. Having free Parking at the guest house was super helpful.

Very comfortable and convenient location ( 20 min walk to the Quay for a celebration birthday) . Great Superking bed and sheets/ great shower. GOOD TV for watching the tennis semi final! Super bathroom ( room 4) and nice touches ( bathrobes/ teapot/ wine glasses/ milk in fridge for tea) The complimentary continental breakfast was exceptional with smoked salmon, ham, cereals, toast yoghurt fruit and boiled eggs. Staff we saw were very helpful. Very clean everywhere. Would definitely recommend and stay again if in the area.

There was a wide selection of food for a continental breakfast. The rooms are stylish and exceptionally clean. It is 5 mins walk from the train station and there is a bus stop right outside the front door for buses to the town centre and beyond.

The small double room would seem cramped for 2 people. For one person it was OK.

We were in the quad room with air conditioning which was much needed in the extreme heat. The beds were comfy, the linen clean and good quality. The self check-in was fab, as was the self serve breakfast.

Gutes Frühstück in angenehmem, englischem Ambiente. Wir haben vor dem Haus einen von vier Parkplätzen bekommen, prima. Unser Zimmer im Dachgeschoss hatte eine Klimaanlage, was bei diesen hochsommerlichen Temperaturen sehr gut war.

Clean and freshly decorated. Easy check in with a little goodie bag. We had 4 separate rooms and drew lots for them. We were all very satisfied, but especially Christine, because she got room 4! Which was fabulous, and set apart from the main building with a beautiful spacious bathroom. Easy walk into town and parking at the front of the property. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. 😁

The property was immaculate and the room was really well equipped with everything we could need. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was really nice. Breakfast was really enjoyable. A very pleasant stay and one we will be repeating. Nice and close to the train station and town centre. Very helpful when our train was delayed and our arrival quite late.

We absolutely loved our stay and couldn't have asked for more. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Yas and Regina were exceptional hosts and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed - nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and very well equipped, including a coffee machine. The mattress was incredibly comfortable, and the room had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was delicious. Although continental, there was a fantastic selection to choose from, including smoked salmon and boiled eggs, with plenty of options for everyone. The location is also excellent, especially if you're travelling by public transport like us. The open-top Breezer bus, which our daughter really loved, stops on the same street as the lodge, and it provides easy access to local beaches such as Sobo and Avon. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended!

I like that the baby travel cot that I requested for my infant was already assembled. The air conditioning was great considering how hot it was during our stay. I liked how clean the room and bathroom were. It was well located and had good parking. I would stay here again

Lots of steep stairs so had to leave the buggy in the car, which was fine. The plug sockets in the room should be upgraded to feature usb and usb-c. Can't really fault anything though, it was like a mini hotel

Had a room for 3 adults, small but adequate. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. Help yourself, with eggs to boil, fruit, yoghurts, fresh juice, salmon, croissants, everything you could want from a continental breakfast.

Parking for 5 or 6 cars on the driveway, but because of inconsiderate guests taking up too much space we sometimes had to park behind other cars. This meant an early morning call to move the car. I think white lines / bays might encourage people to park considerately

Really pleased we stayed here. We were texted and told that my parent's room had been upgraded to the mink suite which worked out perfectly as my dad didn't need to climb any stairs (he isn't very mobile). The rooms were extremely comfortable and the decor was really good. We really liked the breakfast, which was self service. The guest house was in a good location, just 2 mins drive from the retail park and just 5 mins drive from Hengistbury head, where we spent the morning at the beach. Definitely recommend!

Sadly the parking was an issue as a large Luton van was taking up two spaces. Don’t make the mistake I did parking on the property to the left, I thought it was the same guest house. Room was a bit small for three adults but it made the best of a small space. Ideal for a single parent family.

This is the 4th or 5th time I have stayed in The Grosvenor Lodge. The rooms are excellent and always very clean. The bed was exceptionally comfy. It's a buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. The housekeeper is kind and helpful. Very short walk from the Train station and Town centre so excellent base for this area. I am a senior women traveling on my own to visit family in the area.

Unfortunately the room was a bit cold, the weather wasn’t the nicest and it did get a bit chilly throughout the night and the morning. A couple of towels had make up stains on it.

Very well organised hosts. Room was very clean and comfortable. It was only a short walk to the high street, restaurants, the priory, the river, etc. Decent breakfast. The staff were very helpful. My husband left a shirt behind and they very kindly posted it to us, asking only that we make a donation to a charity. All communications were prompt and helpful. We were very happy with our stay.

Our room did face a busy-ish road and, though there were good blinds on the windows, it still a bit bright in the morning. However, we had our ear plugs and sleep masks with us, so it wasn't a problem at all. Just remember to pack them yourself.

We had been ‘upgraded’ to a mini suite at no extra cost - however, the room was cold - there was a thermostat for underfloor heating which didn’t work - the heating was off when we came home from our night out (about 11ish) - we had no control over the temperature

Communication was great on how to check-in, the room was really clean and in a great location. The chocolate chip cookies were a lovely touch!

Fabulous one night stay at The Grosvenor Lodge. Staff were fantastic, very friendly, personable and welcoming. The breakfast (included) was a great continental selection. We were in the quad room at the very top. It was a very quiet place to stay and our family of four were comfortable enough. The bathroom was small and slightly awkward (being a loft room) and the shower could've been larger / more powerful. All in all a great stay and will definitely visit again.

Looks nice, white and shiny and clean. It was clean, they upgraded my room from single to double for free.

Cold marble floor and cold glass furniture in room. One cold bagel and half a glass of orange juice left in breakfast room at 9am. No milk for cereal. Mattress is not fit for purpose.. No access to mains water. Hot water takes very long to arrive in shower. Breakfast (cold bagel) not available during times stated. Milk left in fridge for tea was rotten. Shower is too small to move in safely, mind your head and your elbows. Room was large but filled with many locked wardrobes so no actual floor space. Kitchen /breakfast room has no taps for mains water or sink for hand washing. No one on site to ask. Sent texts and left voicemail messages. Guests left to self care.

The apartment we stayed in was an annex which had a gigantic bed a dressing room and a big lovely bathroom with walk in shower and separate bath everything was good inside . Breakfast was continental in the dining room of the main house

Beautiful establishment. Extremely clean. The decor was very modern and minimalist. The beds are extremely comfortable and high quality bedding. Ample towels bathrobes and bathroom products. Lovely area to get dressed. Fantastic in room coffee machine and tea tray. Breakfast was continental super fresh ingredients from meats and salmon high quality tea coffee and fresh orange juice to choose from with warm pastries and preserves. Entry to the property was super easy (just follow the simple instructions) We all slept very well both nights and the lovely lady was around should we needed anything. Very impressed with Yaz and their communication before during and after our stay. Would 100% stay again and recommend to others. Such excellent value for money than staying in a mainstream hotel the little touches are just fantastic. A lot of care and attention to detail is simply amazing.
