Location a little too far for walks.

The breakfast was awesome ! I could get use to it . Location was great and the staff went above and beyond . I could not find my cell phone , and when the staff called my cell using their personal phone , I ended up finding it in our company van ,stuck underneath the dashboard . I think the two lady staff that were on that Thursday August 20 night went above and beyond for me. Very much appreciated !

Was working nights and sleeping during the day. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the rooms were nice and quiet during my day sleep.

Being able to select a preferred floor would have been nice however, I did not request any preference and thats fine.

The rooms were exceptionally clean.

I didn’t have any negative thoughts about the room nor the location.

Ok technically it is Harbourfront (but it’s not very picturesque). Walking distance to the beginning of the one-mile long harbor walkway, marina and a few restaurants. Room was very clean.

The property is a little tired. Breakfast is typical uninspired Days Inn fare. But mostly charging an extra $30 for a “water view”stung a bit because what little view there was was obscured by a few derelict ships moored along the quay. The water view room is larger and has a kitchenette so you do get something for your money but don’t call it water view. Also it’s advertised as “soundproofed” but it’s not.

Excellent location by waterfront and walking distance to parks and waterfront restaurants. Attentive staff.King sized room was updated and had view of water. Excellent breakfast. Overall great value!

Check in at 3. I did NOT get to check in u til after 4:30 and was told “we’ll check in is anytime after 3” I asked for her to show me where it says after and she couldn’t because it says at 3

I did not expect it to be nice ! I was so wrong it was clean and comfortable the staff was great! Breakfast was really good! The staff in the breakfast room was also great. I would say a 10 out of 10!

Room not very clean and very dark - not enough towels and soft soap dispenser empty - rained one evening and when we returned to the room there was a leak and puddles in the room from the room next door - I was given towels to mop it up - ran out of milk for breakfast one morning. A disappointing experience - we will not be returning

It was not very clean …. Our room was extremely smelly and I asked for deodoriser which didn’t do anything!

It's a bit dated. The fitness room was a little too basic and some of the equipment was dated or needed maintenance. The rooms have been refreshed and now the rest of the hotel is also due.

J’aurais aimé qu’ils soient plus stricts en surveillant le bruit dans le corridor. Les visiteurs qui arrivaient tard nous ont réveillé à plusieurs reprises.

The mattress was horrible . Woke up both mornings with a sore back . The mattress in room 201 had permanent significant grooves from overuse over the years . We go to Sarnia every year and have stayed at this hotel every time Doubt we will ever return to this hotel .

It was great for our one night stay, had everything we needed to be comfortable.

Breakfast offerings were basic. We tend to prefer vegetarian, so we found selection limited and on lower end.

Request for first floor a month ago and not being accommodated. We also had a dirty towel left in our room.

Location is great

The property is outdated, the carpets were very dirty, in desperate need of a deep clean. The bathroom was so small you had no space for toiletries and the water pressure was the worst. The breakfast reminded me of someone going to a grocery store and picking up cheap quick snacks, we opted out of eating, other than grabing a banana.

The property was very tired. The ceiling in our room looked water damaged, the stairwell looked pretty bad. There was no lightover the sink in our bathroom and although it looked like the room had been painted, they missed the bathroom door. It was pretty dirty looking. Quite a few of the exterior doors appeared to be peeling, the landscaping was pretty dead. It was advertised as beachfront, but that was certainly a stretch

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The room was in very poor condition. Paint was bubbling and peeling, which is a good indicator that they painted over mold. There was visible mildew/mold in the shower. The room flooded while I was there. The sheets did not even fit the bed and we're scratchy. This hotel boasted a 3 star rating but it's more like 1-2.

The breakfast was not very good. During our stay chicken was offered and folded eggs. The only other options were oatmeal, bagel, muffin. The yogurt was not very cold.

Price and location

Garbages in room were never emptied. Had I known we would be on the second floor with no elevator I would have requested the first floor as some of our party had a hard time with that.

Great value for money. Room was clean, comfortable and well priced. Excellent location close to waterfront.

Room was in poor repair although looked recently renovated. Not as clean as it should be. Water pressure in shower was so low I could not wash my hair. Breakfast was poor quality and selection, and was full -- very small for the number of rooms.

The breakfast offered a variety and was delicious. The location was beautiful next to the marina and park. The walking paths were long and offered different directions.

Bottled water for the rooms would have been nice.

This Days Inn, like all of this brand, shows its age. But it’s clean, breakfast was nice, staff were exemplary, parking was convenient, and there’s a nice Irish pub just across the parking lot. Easy walking access to a nice harbor walkway.

Great location right along the harbor, and adjacent to a good Irish pub. Breakfast was good, HVAC good, wifi good.

A bit dated and the splits in the lobby and breakfast room made a terrible noise. A thorough deep cleaning, wiping the bathroom walls, washing the curtains, would be nice.

The staff were grateful and pleasant. Always there when you need them. With a smile on their face

The close proximity to the parking and a second door to the parking spot made this the best place I may have ever stayed overnight anywhere. Keep up this arrangement, please. Just perfect for visitors like me.

Every staff member went above and beyond to make us comfortable, from the chef and the front desk staff, to the cleaning and maintenance staff. The breakfast buffet was excellent! The park in the back of the building and across the street were great. The exercise room and guest washer and dryer were a nice perk.

There are some seedy people that stay there from time to time that tend to make people uncomfortable. The staff allowed us to move rooms twice because of issues we faced from unsavory guests there were staying in rooms next to us.

Great area to stay. Beautiful walk around the harbour. Breakfast was good. Hot breakfast served was a nice surprise compared to other places. Breakfast hostess was absolutely wonderful! I wish I got her name so I could add it in this review. Dined at Paddy Flaherty's across the parking lot. Enjoyed that as well. Both reception staff members were very pleasant and accommodating. Lots of hot water, but a bit of mold around base of shower. We will definitely stay at this location again.

A very cozy hotel in a walking distance from the town centre. Friendly staff, clean rooms, tasty breakfast. Coffee was super good!

More options for vegetarians could be offered for breakfast (vegetables). It would be a good idea to keep the entrance door to the hotel locked for entrance during the night and in the morning for extra security. Or so that it could be opened with the room keys only during the dark hours.

Quiet area

Breakfast was disappointing. Usually it’s decent but the coffee cream curdled. I brought it up to the staff in the breakfast area, they took my coffee away and dumped it. They didn’t deal with the situation. The cream packers should be on ice or refrigerated. I also wasn’t offered another coffee or a solution. The sausages looked awful as they appeared grey in color. The croissants were stale, bread was mediocre. Usually the breakfast at this hotel is decent. Not sure was most of it was below normal standards. In addition , the air vent unit in the breakfast room is very loud and needs to be serviced. And tv was not on to watch the news. After we checked out, we went to a restaurant for breakfast. I will need to rethink going to this hotel again. Perhaps it’s time to switch.
