This was a charming residence, comfortable, and a great location.

I would have appreciated a small safe in the room.

Such a comfortable, clean hotel, loved the quirky boutique / art deco feel; the big bed and big walk-in shower. Staff remembered us, and we're warm and friendly. Nothing too much trouble and allowed us to check in early after a long trip. We'll be back!

Outside of the hotel's control, but it was a humid night so we had the windows open and there was a bit street noise at closing time (and it was a Saturday night, to be fair), but it didn't spoil the night overall.

Brilliant host and was the perfect stop in the family room with our toddler for the night.

The room looked exactly like the photos which is a refreshing change.Location was perfect for walking to the Pier and city centre

Excellent quiet location, parking, comfy bed, very clean room, tea making facilities, mini fridge and biscuits.

The room had a bath with no standing shower facility. There was a shower head and hose fitment on the bath but no wall attachment or shower curtain. Quite an outdated set up. The decor, whilst clean, is in serious need of redecorating. Paint peeling or removed in many areas on walls and woodwork in the room as well as corridors.

Very close to the triangle and a few restaurants.

Bed was on the small side also the sink was not in the bathroom and the tap had been fixed the wrong way for hot and cold water .

Staff were kind and very helpful. The location was very good, aprox 15 min walk from the pier and beach. The room was very clean and every day it was vacuumed, new towels provided etc. Cod bed was provided for the baby, perhaps just a small suggestion, to include a mattress for the cot and move it in the big room (of the family suite), but it had also toys and books for children, so overall great stay. Thank you!

We had a lovely stay, thanks to the warm welcome from the friendly and helpful staff. They were very kind throughout our stay and made us feel very welcome. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel had such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The location was also perfect, with pubs, supermarkets, and the beach all within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay here again!

Great location and the hotel and staff were very accommodating. Room was very clean and spacious and provided everything we needed. We managed to have our room before check in as it was ready which meant we could unpack and start our break away. Having the parking space was an added bonus as it was a short walk to beach, bars and restaurants.

It would of been nice to have the option of a continental breakfast but understood why they didn’t.

Great location for visiting Bournemouth and it was clean.

The shower in room 23 only dispensed scolding, hot water. No matter how much you adjusted the temperature dial it remained scolding hot. I had to bathe myself in the sink.

It was close to the beach, the family room was spacious and comfy.

The problem was the heat, as the room is upstairs you can feel the heat even more. They did put 3 fans that helped us which we are grateful for but having no air conditioning is honestly hard to cope with on a heatwave.

It's a lovely little family run hotel. I've stayed here a few times in the past and I'd recommend it to anyone. The staff are always friendly (this time I even sat and chatted with the owner for an hour before leaving), the rooms are always clean and tidy, it has free parking and the decor is so homely and inviting. The location is pretty good too - short walk into town one way, a short walk to the cliff tops/beach the other way. I'll be returning whenever I may need to stay in Bournemouth again.

We had a fantastic stay at Washington House Hotel. We booked the King Room with the Jacuzzi, and it completely exceeded our expectations. The room was spotless, spacious and beautifully presented, and the Jacuzzi was the perfect way to relax after a day exploring Bournemouth. The staff were welcoming and friendly, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The hotel is in a great location, within easy walking distance of the seafront and local restaurants. We’ve stayed in many well-known hotels, including the Hilton, and this stay genuinely felt even better. We wouldn’t hesitate to book here again.

There was very little to fault. If anything, we only wish we could have stayed longer. Everything else met or exceeded our expectations.

Everything was great. If I had to find some kind of feedback I would say installing aircon would be good idea as the summers are getting hotter every year and it was a bit hot. It was difficult to rinse my hands in the sink , must be a very power water softener!!!! Thank you for everything!

Plenty of parking available, quiet and convenient location to seaside and friendly reception. The room was nice and comfortable and the ensuite bathroom clean and in good condition.

Although not the fault of the hotel, we were hoping for a good nights sleep but unfortunately the people in the room above us arrived back to their room around 1am and were excessively noisy (walking and talking) for over an hour.

The location was good. Parking at the premises was good. Check-in was good. The hotel is attractive. The tea/coffee facilities in the room were good. The towels and toiletries were good. No tissues though. The room was attractive with good quality furnishings and accessories.

The room was a small double - it was however very cramped and the double bed was crammed at the end of the room with one side up against the wall and the foot of the bed virtually against the next wall. It was awful having to climb over my sleeping husband to get to the loo during the night. I think the room should only have a single bed with room each side to move and less furniture - it was too crowded. We had to negotiate our way around the furniture. Further, the room was stiflingly hot with double aspect windows which only opened a few inches. It was unbearable, even with the fan full on. Very uncomfortable, I could never have stayed another night in the room.

The Washington House was very comfortable, quiet and clean. It had tea and coffee facilities which were plentiful. Shower was good and there was nice soft white towels. The parking was also a bonus.

There was nothing I didnt like

Had a single room but it was very clean and tidy. Provided ample tea and coffee facilities. Very close to town centre so easily accessible for key facilities.

Unfortunately the room was right next to the main entrance so there was continual banging from the front door which woke me up on several occasions. I’m sure other rooms would have been better.

Surprisingly I liked everything and I’m hard to please. There’s a cute seating area also which was nice. Perfectly laid out twin room that had lovely extra touches like toiletries, water bottles and biscuits

Can’t think of anything I disliked

My son and I stayed at Washington House Hotel after another hotel let us down. I can honestly say that everything during our stay was the best. The place is 10 out of 10. It has an excellent atmosphere, beautiful, clean rooms, a safe environment, and the best location only 8 minutes to the beach. The owners were the most incredible, kind, and warm hearted people. We had an amazing experience overall, and I highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back. Thank you. 🙏

The place is lovely and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made a big difference after a long and stressful journey.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to enjoy the stay as much as I hoped. Due to an accident on the way, I only managed to arrive at 1am, and I still had to leave the room at 10am. On top of that, the shower water was extremely hot and I couldn’t adjust the temperature, so I wasn’t able to take a proper relaxing shower after travelling.
