room was up graded due to our last trip not going so well,
bed was too hard, no topper or anything added for extra cushioning, had to pay resort fees of $82.00 after all was said and done extra.
Very convenient to downtown. Beautiful lobby and the restaurant is pretty good.
The bed was NOT comfortable and room was very small. Also note that there are additional fees that are not clear such an incidental + resort fees.
its nice, staff is really friendly
room was tiny looks way bigger in pictures
the hotel is so charming
parking price was outrageous
Beautiful building central great staff great food great bar
It was very busy, too crowded, might have been because of the Labor Day weekend. I like places that are not too popular.
Beautiful hotel

Its location is prime, especially as guests that were there for the WNBA game.
The deposit was nearly as much as the room itself. 278 for a room, 200 for the deposit of the room? Egregious as an establishment that points to a history of inclusivity and access.

Why Hotel Figueroa? I like old, classic hotels, the daily rate was reasonable, and it’s across the street from LA Live, where Crypto.com Arena is located. There are nicer options, including the Ritz-Carlton, the JW Marriott adjacent to LA Live but the room rates for those properties were two to three times what I paid. The hotel was constructed in 1925, and you can see that in the layout. There are stairways in the halls to take you from floor to floor. That was faster than waiting for one of the two elevators servicing the building. The layout of the building reminds me of the St. Francis in San Francisco … The building looks like the letter E, with three wings connected at one end. There are a bar and restaurant on the ground level inside the building and there is another bar and the swimming pool at the West end of the building. Someone said there’s a rooftop bar, but I didn’t go and check it out. My room (624) was at the southwest corner of the hotel. You entered a somewhat narrow living room. To the left was a recess for a bar and refrigerator. A glass-paneled door led to the bedroom. Inside the bedroom was a king bed, two chairs and a small table near the windows. At the other end was another glass-paneled door leading to the bathroom. To the right of the door were wooden doors to a very deep closet with a two-drawer bureau. The security safe was mounted on the shelf above the clothes rod. Hah, I couldn’t see inside the safe as it was at eye level for someone much taller than me The bathroom featured two more doors; one on the left led to the toilet; one on the right led to a very large walk-in shower. Between then was a double vanity with storage underneath. The shower featured a rain head and a separate wand. Hot water came quickly and I found the controls intuitive, but there was a placard showing how to use the controls on the right side of the vanity.
What did I miss? No Toto washlet and no lighted makeup mirror (I needed more light for shaving). On my second visit to Cafe Fig, I ordered the Veggie Breakfast. Two eggs, a grilled Portobello mushroom cap, sliced avocado, six grilled cherry tomatoes, sauteed spinach, a piece of sourdough toast, a block of feta, and containers of butter and catsup. With coffee, this cost $39.47, including tax and 20% tip. This breakfast caused me distress … Whether it was too much oil, the butter, or the feta … I was ill for 2 hours afterward. Note to self: Do not order this breakfast again.

Beautiful hotel, nice helpful staff. The reason I am giving this property 2 stars is because I was charged a $620 smoking fee. I am not a smoker. There is apparently some sensor in the room that if something makes it go off you are automatically charged this insane fee. I have contacted the hotel and Hyatt multiple times to get this charge refunded and it has gone nowhere. I have even contacted someone by the last name of Meek who is in management at the hotel multiple times and have not received any response. I am a professional actor now but worked in hotels and hospitality for many years and charging a guest a $620 smoking fee without any communication is frankly a scam and this seems to be a pattern with Hyatt properties as I found an entire Reddit thread about these charges. I would love to stay at this hotel again as it is beautiful but I won’t again simply because of the chance of getting scammed out of $620. I stayed at the Hoxton my last night in town and loved it. It is roughly in the same area of DTLA. Stay there instead.
this beautiful hotel is located right in downtown La. it is convient to the crypto arena and fine dining. the rooms are tastfully appointed and the bathrooms are big. the best part of the Fig is the staff. If you are a globalist Victor on the front desk has you covered. He found us a great room and was warm welcoming and super friendly. On check out Bryan was super helpful, and went over everything patiently. Bryan got us on the road quickly and left us smiling. Finally, Amy in Cafe Fig is a doll. she was super friendly and made sure our food came out perfect. ultimatly any hotel is just a big box of rooms, it is outstanding people like Amy, Bryan and Victor that bring a hotel to life. They convince me of the value of hyatt globalist status.
Struttura pulita e personale gentile, parcheggio auto, piscina pulita e accogliente. Posizione invidiabile.

I had the best experience with the Hotel staff. I had left behind some items in the hotel room and they went above and beyond to instantly locate them …Jackie from security and Nicole at the front desk are amazing!
Absolutely beautiful and very clean. I wish we had more time just to spend at the hotel. Very very refreshing to come back to after being in dtla all day. The room was so clean and comfortable.
We had a great stay at this hotel! Everything was very comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We especially want to thank John, who was so kind and helpful throughout our stay. He made us feel very welcome and was always willing to help us with anything we needed. Thank you, John, for making our stay even better!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The place has been beautifully renovated. The rooms are nicely (but not lavishly) appointed and the public spaces including the pool area, are beautiful. Our room was quiet (it faced the back of the building overlooking the pool area). It's in a convenient part of SW downtown near the convention center and arena, convent to the 110 and 10. There is a small Target and s Von's grocery store nearby.
Huber and the whole staff at Hotel Figueroa are fantastic. Every detail was very much appreciated. I will definitely be back for another solo getaway.
The bed felt like a queen when they said it was king.
Beautiful space, fit our needs, price was right.
Unique. Artistically designed. Very LA.
This was our 3rd stay and each time it gets better and better. The staff and the services are beyond what you may expect at a hotel. The Hotel Figueroa has a great history and is in a part of LA that is under redeveloped and to have such and anchor hotel is amazing.
Bit dark but clean room. Location is very convenient valley parking staff very quick. Breakfast is amazing great quality lot of choices.
The bathroom was a good size
I wish free breakfast was included in the room had a ceiling light. Also, the shower was difficult to work.
We understand that a fee was charged because we failed to check out on time. The real issue, however, is that we were only informed by the reception staff at a very late stage and were not granted any flexibility or goodwill. Having to pay a penalty for a delay of just one hour is disappointing and, considering the prices charged by the hotel, not acceptable in our view.
The hotel, just a short distance from the convention center, offers a convenient location. Its rich history and beautiful interior and exterior design make it a must-see. Well-preserved, it attracts many visitors. The staff are excellent, and they clean rooms daily, providing two free bottles of water. As a century-old establishment, it also has many fascinating spooky stories.
Cool little hotel that had a great bar and a very nice pool. I wish I had more time to spend reading the books they had in their bar
I cannot say enough about the Hotel Figueroa! When exploring hotel options close to the Convention Center, I was charmed by the Figueroa's history as one of the first women built, owned and operated hotels for women travelers. When I arrived, I experienced how beautifully the hotel honors its history with absolutely extraordinary staff, chic and intelligent design, art and gorgeous bar and restaurant options.
We stayed at the Hotel Figueroa for a convention in Aug 2026. Everything about the hotel is fabulous but I wanted to take a moment the recognize the amazing Flash Valet staff who was so fast & friendly with keeping us and our vehicle safe. The 1st 2 days I didn't have cash on hand to tip and they still handled my vehicle coming in and out with a smile. I finally got to an ATM later in the weekend to ensure we took care of the guys. I particularly want to recognize Eric, the overnight valet and Ronald John Liz who went above and beyond. As a single mom traveling with her daughter, they offered the utmost safety to us even in the wee hours of the morning. They even offered restaurant suggestions as they know the area. Thank you!
Location
Old Old beds Not a value for money for us
I was on a trip for Union Business. The bed was very comfortable and I slept great every night. Due to a change of time zones I was up very early every day. Coffee before 5:00 AM would not be an unwelcome idea. Beautiful place!
Our stay at the Figueroa was an amazing time. It is such a unique property with it's long history and you can tell how much effort has been put into modernizing the hotel. The staff were all so friendly and the pool area was an absolute oasis. Highly recommended get away.

Good location near my work place, easy walking distance, very good globalist benefits (breakfast, internet). Great service including breakfast, front desk and valet (John/Jorge). Valet is efficient although pricey. I'll definitely be back.
Checking service was amazing, we had a very cute suite, with NO hot water on the shower, noise like someone was flushing a toilet the whole time, really loud sound that we report and the guy said he’ll call maintenance and never came back the good thing we just stayed one night because it was impossible to sleep.we order something on guest services and they never brought it. BAD SERVICE, good location if you go to Crypton theater
Our check-in time was delayed by 3 hours. Supposed to check in at 4 pm but could not check in until 7 pm. After arriving in the room, we found hair on the bed. Room was small and not comfortable. Do not recommend.
Location was great with a walking distance to metro station. Love the artwork in this hotel.
Rooms are bit smaller than I had expected.
Nothing
We left the hotel we didn’t even stay in the room we went up to room and immediately turned around
It is a cute hotel with a nice lobby. We had a big room and lovely bathroom.
AM coffee was almost empty and no one really wanted to bother gettting more. Restaurant service was mediocre and the food prices are astronomical at breakfast. My bowl of oatmeal had a several dollar surcharge for milk. Horrible.
Graet will be back as soon as I can. The service was nice; the staff were pleasant. I don't know when. But I shall be back. asap
So much character in this historic hotel. Excellent pool, great location, and a friendly staff makes it a great place for couples or families. From Nicole at the front desk to belmen Manny and Angel, to Jorge the valet, everyone treated us with kindness and courtesy. To not hesitate to book a stay here. The Figueroa Suite is the best!
Jonathan Anthony was a very kind valet and the staff was warm and addressed and anticipated needs. Thank you!
I'm very familiar with LA and I would not stay at this hotel again. I stayed here for a professional development conference and was blindsided to discover, weeks later while completing my expense report, that more than $500 had been charged to my corporate credit card as a smoking/vaping fee. I understand these charges are often assessed after checkout, but there was no communication explaining the charge or giving me an opportunity to address it before it appeared on my card. I did not smoke or vape in my room. When I called the hotel, the first employee I spoke with mentioned that the detectors are very sensitive, but she was unable to assist and transferred me to management. I left a detailed voicemail explaining the situation and never received a return call. Looking back, I suspect the charge may have been triggered when I used my personal clothes steamer. The room was very small and did not have a desk. The closet had a conveniently located electrical outlet, which made it practical to set up the hotel's ironing board just outside the closet to steam and hang my clothing. I remember noticing a smoke detector nearby with a blinking light. I shared these details in my voicemail, but no one followed up. Beyond the disputed charge, I was disappointed with the overall experience. The room was extremely small, I didn't get to enjoy the pool after getting back from the convention because it closes at 7:00 PM (May in Los Angeles), and it had no food/drink service (outside restaurant is only open for paid events). Also, the room amenities did not match what I would expect from an four-star hotel at this price point. I was also underwhelmed by the location. While the hotel is close to the convention center, I found myself doing a significant amount of walking through and around LA Live just to get to and from my room. In addition, there were often men loitering outside the hotel and throughout the surrounding area, which made the walk less comfortable than I expected, especially in the evenings. I had only been in the area after major events and this was not as apparent until the crowed is gone. If you're considering this hotel for more than a night stay, primarily because of its proximity to the convention center, I would recommend looking at other options nearby. In hindsight, I would have preferred staying at a nicer hotel in a location where I felt more comfortable and simply taking a short Uber ride to be dropped off directly at the convention center. Ultimately, my biggest concern was the hotel's handling of a significant charge that I believe was applied in error. The lack of communication and failure to respond to my concerns left me feeling ignored. For that reason, I cannot recommend Hotel Figueroa and will choose a different hotel for future business travel.
I just want to share my experience with Fatima with Hotel Figueroa in LA, CA. She went above and beyond helping with my reservation modification. I really appreciate her outstanding service.
The service at the front desk was very good and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Overall, I loved the stylish vibe of the hotel. The service at the restaurant wasn’t as good, but maybe that was just the time of day that we went. I would stay here again.
Location was great! The ambiance and staff made you feel like stepping into “Old Hollywood” We came for a concert, everything we wanted to do was within walking distance or a ride share away. The food was good, the restaurants in hotel were quaint and comfortable after exploring. We loved all the artwork and ambiance. Our junior suite worked out perfectly for 3 of us. Clean and housekeeping was very punctual but friendly when asked to return at a later time. Overall we enjoyed our time with you and will return some day!
Chic vibe
The room was terrible considering the price. Being on the second floor, there was no view at all from the veranda and I was bombarded with the sounds of rushing traffic and the noxious smells from the street below. There was no point sitting out there let alone leaving the door open even in summer. The room otherwise had little natural light and was difficult to work in. There was no desk. No chair to work from. Given what I paid for the room (an average of $700 per night not including taxes and fees), I feel robbed. It's worth noting that a stay over the same two days right around the corner at the Ritz Carlton in a large corner room with a city view would have cost roughly the same, though would have also included a $100 hotel credit or breakfast for two per day. A stay over the same time at the JW Marriott (also right around the corner) in one of their studio suites would have cost even less ($526 per night). I also have to complain that all of the hotel's main facilities seemed overrun with a conference, which no one bothered to inform me about at the time of booking. On the first night, the pool appeared to be off limits and the restaurant/bar was packed to the brim. There seemed to be no available staff to speak to in person while the conference was going on. I reported my concerns to the hotel during my stay and they did nothing to accommodate me. I'll also note that on my last morning there, I overheard some staff very loudly discussing some problem with a security alarm that made me doubt both the training of your staff and the safety of the premises. I am very displeased with my experience and won't hesitate to share it with Hyatt.
Such a nice location and a wonderful staff from the bar, restaurant and room services. The property is so cool and pool area is gorgeous. I do need to make special mention to both Anthony and Liz working the valet. I travel a lot for business and experience many different valets but Anthony and Liz are a cut above the rest. They were so courteous, friendly and helpful that I had to write a review. They helped me get unloaded and situated and went out of their way to make sure I knew where I was going when leaving the hotel. Outstanding job!!!
I think the property is lovely both design and functionality. The staff is friendly, the food was tasty, the bed was comfortable, and overall we enjoyed our stay. We booked on an external travel site & agreed to put a credit card on file for taxes, added fees, and incidentals. However they also charged us a second room reservation fee, so just watch the charges before you leave there.
Had a great stay at Hotel Figueroa! The hotel came highly recommended for its prime location in DTLA and proximity to USC. Hotel Figueroa exceeded every expectation. Short walk to Crypto.com Center and lots of dining options. We stayed in a Jr. Suite with a living room area. Although the room was not big, it did not feel small. The room also came with a small fridge, Espresso single coffee maker, and a closet with a safe. We enjoyed our breakfast at Cafe Fig and cocktails and appetizers at Florence by the Water. From the warm, welcoming staff to the exceptional dining experience and stunning ambiance, every detail made our stay memorable. We especially enjoyed the live jazz music on Wednesday night. Hotel Figueroa has definitely earned a spot at the top of our list whenever we return to Los Angeles!
The bed was comfortable, the shower has good pressure, the internet was fast, the staff was helpful and friendly, the location was excellent, just a bummer the valet parking at $70
The high price on the valet parking
The hotel is comfortable and clean. Parking is easy with side parking and valet. The front desk clerks are all nice though check in and check out seems overly complicated. The room is comfortable and clean with good though standard amenities. Room service is attentive, efficient, and thoughtful - they follow up if you have a do not disturb sign on your door. The restaurants and bar are ok. It’s the service there that can be challenging. While the drinks were good, my food never arrived. The wait staff seems to be in a rush and forgot my entire order and disappeared for 45 minutes. By that time, it was too late to eat. They dropped off a check, brought no one, and after asking for a one, they never brought one to sign the check. It was pretty annoying and recurring. I’ll try it again. It’s a convenient location for downtown.
It’s got old Hollywood vibes with a modern twist. Great location for walking to Crypto Arena, Convention Center and Peacock Theater and LA LIVE attractions. Staff are all friendly and the restaurants are excellent. Pool is beautiful too.
Our queen bed room was a bit tight. No room for even a sitting chair.
John from the valet took great care of us throughout our stay. Very attentive and helpful whenever we needed to get our car in and out all day and night. The hotel restaurant and bars were great. The staff in the hotel were great to deal with. Had a fantastic experience and would come back to stay in the future.
Huber & Liz were wonderful! Huber was very attentive and made sure my son was safe when he ran across the parking lot.
Love that you are so close to Crypto for our concert! Good vibes at hotel and we can walk to restaurants/bars then to Crypto.
The morning outside/street noise from our rooms woke us up.
Our stay was so great! All the staff was amazing. Jorge and Liz in valet were so kind and helpful!
This hotel is old, very small reception, but location is good. We booked a queen size room, however the style looks different than the booking page, specifically, the shade cannot be pulled down, meaning we cannot have nature light, either stay with the bright sun, or stay in the dark... The room smelled moldy and the comforter felt humid. We reported to the front desk. the staffs are nice and helped to switch the room. We can either change to another queen size room with the shade that can be used, or upgrade to a king size room with additional $20 per night. We chose the latter. The new room was good but with unexpected extra cost in our journey. The second day we did not receive a room service despite we have requested upon check-in, seems like the room service only available in the early morning, we got up a bit late. On the same day we were trapped in the elevator due to the malfucntion. Fortunately it did not cause serious problems...We chose to use the stairs instead for the rest of the stay...
This hotel is awesome, the whole staff are so attentive, it's in a prime area right next to downtown. The pool area is like its own little oasis in the complete messy turd that is downtown los angeles. What a godsend. Thank you so much to all the front desk folks (V and Michael especially for putting up with all my crap all the time), security and package staff is super accommodating (I had daily packages across my 8 day stay and no one ever complained!! super proactive about notification of packages too, and helped me track them down when my senders forgot to put the correct name), and Amy and gang at Cafe Fig for always being on top of breakfast. The rooms are killer, super fun mix between modern industrial and boho chiq - and the hotel has a lot of great fun history to read about as you move through the space. A+, would hotel fig again.
Staffs were nice, everyone smile at you. Decoration is nice.
Old carpet (yuck), broken coffee machine, broken toilet (water leaks & so noisy I woke up), broken phone, parking is Valet only (expensive). There is open public parking next but its not hotel parking (not gated) and its until 10am next day. There were no explanation of this at the reception when i checked in. Bathroom door is barn door.. which means you can hear everything. No privacy.
Such a wonderful hotel! My mother and I had our flight cancelled and we liked the hotel so much we chose to stay here for another night until we could fly out the next day. Absolutely wonderful staff-friendly and attentive. Easily was able to remove an error for a valet charge that was a mistake. Rooms were quiet, comfortable and well appointed. Little touches like the instructions for how to use the shower were appreciated. Excellent coffee bar provided as part of destination fee, pool area and lobby bar/dining area. Public transportation and walking very accessible.
I stood at Hotel Figueroa for four nights, my room was on the 11th floor and it was very comfortable. The hotel has a whole was fairly quiet, not a lot of noise anywhere save for the lobby where the Cafe was. The Cafe itself was very comfortable, service was quick and the food provided was very good. The Hotel was also located near many restaurants and other places to spend time at, I tried various places thanks to the convenient location of the hotel. The housekeepers were quick to come by anytime I left my room, they cleaned everything up and took out the trash, I always came back to a refreshed room. The hotel staff assisted me when I misplaced my room key, which was very appreciated and the overall cost of the 4 nights was well worth it.
The vibe
Value added costs not described when booking
I stay due to the Hyatt affiliation. Combined with the status benefits of Hyatt, the beautiful building and decor, top-notch F&B, and great service, the Hotel Figueroa is a true gem. Sometimes issues or mistakes do occur, but this hotel is quick to acknowledge and fix any problems, I really value that.
The bed was a full sized matress in a queen bed frame. The matresss had an apparent dip in the middle which made it uncomfortable. When i messaged the hotel lobby through booking they assured me there were no full sized beds in the hotel despite that one clearly being one. I told them i had a queen bed at home and they said residental queen sized matresses were different??
Convenient in proximity
How small the rooms were and they didn’t have a fridge. I had go throw away a lot of perishable food bc i was expecting one
I loved the hotel itself exceptional service from staff and quality and comfort was outstanding
They accidentally took 1500 from my card (they said system glitch) but I couldn’t get the money returned yet and it’s still pending but this was our spending money and I had pre paid so didn’t expect this and it ruined the holiday for us also no pool drink service I think this would be good
The staff were friendly and helpful. The location, parking, and pool were great!
The beds were hard. Both me and my partner woke up with a sore back. The chicken sandwich at The Fig was the worst chicken sandwich I've ever had. The chicken itself was thin, dry and tasteless. They tried to make it better with the bread and slaw in the sandwich, but it didn't work. Please fix that chicken, it's awful.
Vintage look and feel loved my suite the pool was awesome the concierge weee so kind and took everything to my room it was a perfect weekend before hip replacement surgery you all made me feel so special I can’t wait to return
Everything especially the staff very sweet very attentive to my needs and wants because I wanted everything the food was delicious the room was beautiful and spacious
-clean -amazing price for suite over 5 days -good downtown location
-valet is a bit pricey
I was a jerk and that's why the staff at this hotel is awesome. I was "that guy!" Father's Day didn't go how I wanted and I arrived at this front desk an angry jerk mid-tantrum looking to vent and pretend I'm important. I was that bad. And, the service was so good, so forgiving, I went back to the desk later to apologize it's true. The service here is tha t amazing...even when we're not.
Very convenient
Can’t think of anything
Great
Good sized room, good view from the room. Staff were friendly and helpful
The room and facilities were worn and could be updated - coffee and tea in room didn't meet expectations. Loud appliances in room
I need a refund
I need a refund
The staff was friendly.
The bathroom faucet extremely difficult to work even with the detailed instructions. The vallet parking $68. They require a deposit double than what the room costs. The room and hotel looks nothing like the photos.
Everything!
nothing
no breakfast
location
In the front desk the guy with the glasses who claims to be a manager was extremely arrogant and rude. Customer satisfaction is not their priority. Low quality customer service, I would never stay there again.
Location and quick service from staffs.
No breakfast buffet option.
It was a cute hotel only downside about it is that there was no fridge
There was no fridge and the room was really small for the pricing. There was like no space between the bathroom and the bed. It was just very close together and when we got there at the carpet was very wet for some reason.
The location is accessible and the facility is superb! Super clean and neat!
Expensive parking fee from the hotel valet
Everything
Room Is quite small and service is poor at the bar
Clean and fantastic staff
Parking fee
It was very elegant but still welcoming , all staff members were nice and accommodating. Overall great experience and will come back to stay again !
For the pool area hopefully for next time there is someone to help us order drinks and food by the pool area. The QR code menu wasn’t available us to order a bite online.
