All of it!! First time stay and everlasting memory.
Breakfast Unclear if it was included during check in process.
Camera spaziosa, pulita e letti comodi. Vista spettacolare: abbiamo richiesto un piano alto e siamo stati accontentati.
Peccato non ci sia la colazione inclusa.
Fantastisch hotel!
Dat is even wennen.
The view n location
They gave us a handicap shower
The location is perfect. The view from the window is everything! The hotel super clean, comfortable and has a lot to offer, from laundry, pool, hot tub to restaurants and pubs.
All was ok. The upper deck maybe a bit dissapointing, watching the sunset through this really dirty glass is nothing special.
Location, view, value, cleanliness, valet service, room.
Clogged sink in the bathroom despite asking to fix it twice Low quality air dryer No lock in the bathroom in the 4 people room
The property was clean and the staff were friendly.
I didn’t like the way the elevator was set up. Found it to be annoying but I understood the logic.
Aufzüge: Up-and-Down - man muss in den 70.
Presentazione eccellente. Eccezionale sotto ogni aspetto.
Piękny hotel w centrum, z zapierającym dech widokiem z sky lobby na 70 piętrze. Ładny basen i świetnie wyposażona siłownia.
very good
Beautiful view, you get what you paid for.
I paid for valet but had to pay $40 again? Asked front desk and was told because it’s “Different company” which makes no sense when all valet employees work for the hotel. Payed extra $145 and only received $39.43 back when there was absolutely no damages or reason to not get my deposit back. Pool closed so early and never got to enjoy after a dinner, and tv should be updated.
Spacious room, good view, clean, ok amenities, bath tub is nice. Good infrastructure.
Untrained staff that rushed out checkin - just handed us a piece of paper that was supposed to contain all the info we needed. But actually had to ask where’s the breakfast to a random employee we met at the elevator (it was not in the paper). We came as a couple but there was only one pair of slippers and only one robe. There’s complimentary tea in the room but no way to heat water. A lot of items missing from the minibar. Unclear what’s complementary and what’s not. Vallet prices also unclear. Wanted a nicer stay but ended up disappointed for the amount paid.
It feels new, very well located
Hard to find the lobby
Colazione molto abbondante e buonissima! Staff molto attento e disponibile.
Location was great! One of the best places to stay in downtown LA.

The location
The front staff and concierge were very unhelpful and disrespectful.
The size of the room was great and the views were really nice in all directions. The bathroom was pretty good... The bed was comfortable.
Using several lifts up and down to reach your room was a pain and seemed to be a bit of a joke amongst other guests. The streaming on the TV didn't work and the ability to order in room dinig was poor, as was the actual menu for vegetarians. We used Uber Eats instead. The general area was rough, and we had repeated warnings from Uber drivers and others about places to avoid. I wish I'd chosen Santa Monica or similar instead of basing my trip here.

Awful staff

We arrived at 11:30 AM, and our room was not quite ready. We went to the pool bar where Terrell was bartending. He is excellent bartender, friendly, easy to talk to, and is a great representative for your brand.
We've stayed here on two separate occasions. The hotel is new and rooms are beautiful and modern with amazing views of LA. Love the Byredo toiletries and liquid hand soap- can't believe more hotels don't have this. The rooms are little bit of a pain to get to because you need to take separate elevators. We also added club lounge access, which was great for grabbing quick bottles of water and drinks. The breakfast is pretty solid, but other food was nothing special, like your typical banquet buffet food. For food, they offered a solid but small-ish room service menu, which was nice to see as an industry trend has been winding down this service. Besides that, only dining options are either the bar with a small menu of pizzas and burgers or La Boucherie, the French steakhouse, which is a pretty fancy spot with solid, but not spectacular, food. I guess they figure most people would find food in downtown LA or Doordash. We would've dined more on-property if the main restaurant did not imply nicer dress. Breakfast is at La Boucherie, which was amazing on the weekdays, but under-serviced and incredibly crowded on the weekends. Heads up you booked through Amex FHR, you get charged a service fee separately, I think it was $18 or so? The hotel's entrance is a nook off the main street, which is very convenient for Ubers and cars.
From the moment we arrived, at the concierge “Marvin” made our trip so much better. Marvin went above and beyond to help us, always taking the time to understand what we were looking for and recommending places that perfectly matched our family. Every restaurant, attraction, and suggestion he gave us turned out to be excellent. He even arranged restaurant reservations for us not only in Los Angeles, but also in San Diego, making everything seamless and stress-free. What impressed us most was that he genuinely cared. His recommendations didn’t feel like standard tourist suggestions—they came from someone who truly wanted us to have the best possible experience. I’m confident that if we had asked him about any other city, he would have been just as knowledgeable and eager to help. Mr. Marvin’s passion, kindness, and dedication are exceptional. He guides guests with all his heart, and it’s rare to meet someone so committed to making others’ trips memorable. Thank you for making our family vacation so special. You are a true asset to the InterContinental, and we will always remember your outstanding hospitality.
We returned to the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown for a family birthday during a sold-out summer weekend. As a returning Ambassador, I appreciated how effectively the hotel used information provided in advance to organize a fairly fluid visit. Maria and Guest Relations prepared from prior correspondence, while Amy and Michelle managed arrival smoothly and kept the group comfortable in Club InterContinental as the suite was completed. The high-floor corner suite was quiet, spacious, and well suited to family arriving at different times. It included a separate living area, dual-aspect views, a large primary bathroom, and a separate powder room. Guest Services maintained periodic contact by text, Housekeeping completed a thorough refresh while we were out, and amenities were delivered without repeated follow-up. La Boucherie handled a planned dinner in the Starlight Booth well. Xochit anchored the service with direct recommendations and practical decisions, while the chef and culinary team handled a dietary sensitivity thoughtfully. When plans changed, Marvin at Concierge arranged a Spire 73 table for five on short notice, and Jesse maintained the evening with attentive recommendations. Club InterContinental remained a useful gathering point, No Dive Bar and the pool supported the afternoon, and the valet team managed heavy guest flow proactively. Ambassador recognition was consistent from pre-arrival through late checkout. What stood out most was the property’s depth and the continuity across its teams. Even under heavy demand, the hotel maintained several workable options and kept the stay cohesive as plans changed.
Wees voorbereid! Je voelt je hier "Like a stranger in Moscow!"
Very nice elegant hotel. Nice location. Room was clean and breakfast was complimentary. Parking is expensive but I find that’s the case with many IHG properties. Would go back.
Konumu ve temizliği
Depozitomuzu hala geri iade etmedi 600$
The hotel was lovely and the pillows were extra soft.
The fact you have to ride the elevator twice to get to your room. This isnt as bad if you are staying on a higher floor though.

Everything was good 😊
Superbe hôtel, belle chambre. Vue magnifique. Belle piscine
Petit déjeuner à la carte. Dommage et assez cher.
Gorgeous hotel and def bougie with beautiful views of the city. Check in is on the 70th floor and features sweeping views of LA which is really cool to see. Pros: -Samy, the front desk Supervisor was amazing. She was kind, friendly, and understanding and applied our leftover credits to our bill. She apologized for the lack of dining options after-hours and for lunch but more than made up for it by her excellent customer service. You can tell she genuinely wants to ensure you leave having had a great stay and maximizing your benefits -Really snazzy grounds, smells great upon entry, well-maintained and great attention to detail and styling with the design from the common bathrooms, the pool area, and the lobby. The rooms are beautiful and they upgraded us to a really nice premium city views room -Provided a Birthday cake and Aqua Panna since we were celebrating a birthday -Checked in at noon and offered a choice of 600 IHG points, $20 beverage credit at the bar, or breakfast for two (Diamond Elite Member). We weren’t able to take advantage of the beverage credit and Samy, the front desk supervisor, easily switched over to the 600 IHG points so I didn’t lose out. We already got free breakfast each day for booking through Chase The Edit -Long shoe horn in the room -Byredo products in the room -Byredo welcome gift with facial mist, hand cream, lip balm, and eye cream -Super friendly front desk (especially Samy) LaBoucherie staff, and anyone delivering requests to the room, bellmen, to the valet -Soaking tub and shower -Loved their Intercontinental Breakfast, especially the potatoes with crème fraiche, cheese and chives. Chicken sausage was a little salty but the bacon was good. Really enjoyed their half pulp OJ and the Iced Coffee was great also, and was able to sub a croissant instead of toast -Massive gym with a steam room, dry sauna, lots of locker space, and showers -Stocked Mini Bar but empty fridge available upon request -Poke Bowl at the pool was pretty good, decent pineapple margarita and they had Voodoo Ranger IPA’s Cons: -A lot of people complain about the elevators and while it does take some getting used to, one of the employees offered a hack: tap on the bottom center of the touch pad from any floor, enter 31, and hop on the other elevator to whatever floor you’re headed to. Bypasses the lobby completely from ground floor -Pillows were stained on first entry so had them swap them out -Valet parking: $72 per night, in and out privileges. Convenient but def expensive -My biggest gripe is the lack of dining availability. They partner with Chase and offer a $100 food and beverage credit and not offer all day dining or even lunch. Their onsite restaurant, La Boucherie is open for breakfast and dinner only, the lobby bar opens at 4pm (after our 4pm check-out), the Dive Bar was closed on Monday. The in-room dining ends at 1030/1130 MF/SS, and resumed at 5pm. And no late-night in-room dining (ends at 10pm) -They charge a $39 + tax daily facility fee and offer $25 food and beverage credit but for dinner only. Unfortunately we were in town for an event that went from 3pm to later in the evening both nights so def unable to use that, and this was prepaid through Chase The Edit -Also did not enjoy their kimchi risotto, needs a heartier protein We read reviews about this place but wanted to give them a chance, and while it’s a beautiful grounds with bougie touches and high-end amenities, the lack of dining availability and the difficulty in using the Chase Edit credits is a little annoying. All in all a good experience, but Samy really made up for it to ensure we were getting the most from our stay so she def left a positive impression. Very upscale but any credits are only applied to subtotals (not tip and gratuity which they apply an automatic 18% for everything, including drinks at the bar).
Beautiful property and wonderful staff. Brianna at front desk was amazing and very professional.
All good,
Very pricey and was out of the way but thats my fault not the hotel
Lage, Ausstattung,
Bent was incredibly kind and professional throughout our experience. He carried both my boyfriend’s and my luggage to our car, carefully loaded everything for us, and even brought our car around, which made the whole process so much easier. He was respectful, courteous, and had such a positive attitude the entire time. His excellent customer service and attention to detail really stood out, and it’s clear he takes pride in doing his job well. We truly appreciated his help and would gladly recommend him!
The location and the comfortable beds and good food etc
The one my drawback is no restaurant is open until 5p and I would like to eat in the afternoon snacks burger etc
Danny U was very courteous, kind, and helpful with our troubles. His patience and kindness were very appreciated, as well as his efficiency and professionalism :) - Gina
We checked in at 4:00 PM and specifically confirmed with the front desk that our room would have a good view. After taking care of our plans and finally coming back to the hotel, we discovered that our room faces another building instead. It honestly feels like this was done on purpose. We booked this hotel for the July 4th fireworks, and the poor view completely ruined our plans and the experience. This was extremely disappointing, especially after we were assured that the view would be good. I expected much better communication and honesty from the hotel.
Manny was absolutely outstanding. He greeted us the very moment we were walking into the lobby. He took us up to the 70th floor to checkin He then showed us all of the elevators and helped us board the elevator . For the rest of the weekend he was around and was always kind and helpful. He remembered our names ! We had a fantastic trip to the Intercontinental Los Angeles Downtown. Manny was one of the reasons. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

I really enjoyed my stay. Alberto and Angel were excellent front desk hosts. Their hospitality felt genuine and I was warmly welcomed. They were professional and made sure I was informed of the amenities and answered all of my questions. Sergio was the bellman who assisted with my luggage and car service. He was professional and very personable. The hotel was immaculate. I enjoyed breakfast, the lounge bar and rooftop dining. The tuna tostados were fabulous. The hotel is beautiful with great views of the city. I recommend the 1BR suite. It was clean, comfortable and spacious. The gym was amazing. The pool was well kept with plenty of seating. I was on my own while my son was in town for business. My room felt safe and I had no worries moving about the hotel. I look forward to my next stay.
I dont like that my room selection always changes when I arrive. I take my time picking the room type I want so it feels like a waste of time.
Immaculate rooms and facilities. Visibly present security throughout the entire hotel. Very secure system to keep guest rooms separate from people coming in and out of the hotel for other reasons. Beautiful pool and fire pit area. Huge gym, very clean. Friendly staff, very helpful. While the neighborhood is not great on foot, there are many great restaurants within walking distance that cater to gluten free and organic diets! Use food delivery services ( door dash or whatever) if you are unsure of walking through the neighborhood.
While the tub was awesome, the shower had poor pressure. I wish it had a small refrigerator for my own snacks, instead of a stocked minibar. The neighborhood directly outside the hotel is undesirable. Constant sirens and police activity day and night. So many severely mentally ill unhoused people as well as drugs everywhere. The streets reek of urine. I'm from nyc , so while it's off-putting, I didn't feel unsafe. I could see that as a problem for people without big city experience. Having said that, the hotel does an excellent job of providing a safe, relaxing environment that's like an oasis in the midst of the bustle of the city. If you come by car, you can bypass all of the craziness and not be affected by it at all. There is absolutely no vagrancy anywhere on the grounds.
Good
My family and I had a wonderful stay at Intercontinental DTLA. From Marvin, at the front desk taking care of our needs, to Conrad at concierge team. We feel blessed. Jackie, Carlos and Kyle made us the best drinks in the lobby bar, as we watched the FIFA World Cup in the spacious 70th floor lobby. The views were exceptional. Amy and Shemar were also kind. I am very impressed with the customer service here. The warm smiles made it all the more pleasant. Thank you All.
My wife and I booked the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown for a staycation because we wanted one quiet night away together. Unfortunately, it ended up being the opposite of relaxing. The staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful, and the room itself was nice, but almost everything about the experience felt poorly managed and unnecessarily difficult. First, parking was outrageous. Valet was the only real option, with no self-parking available, and it came to $71.50 after tax for each car. The posted valet rate was already high at $65, and then tax was added on top of that. For a local staycation, having both my wife and me pay that much just to park felt excessive. The hotel was also hard to find and confusing to navigate. Getting to and from our room required taking multiple elevators — three elevators each time — which made every trip in or out feel like a chore. That might sound minor, but when you are trying to relax, it becomes frustrating quickly. The pool area was also disappointing and concerning. There were rusty, deteriorating roof elements, missing grout, and areas that looked like they could be safety issues. It did not feel like the clean, luxury pool experience you would expect from a hotel at this level. Food and service operations were also not good. My burger in the lounge was bad and nearly burnt. At breakfast, the elevator to the restaurant was broken or under construction, so we had to take the stairs. Then we had to wait in line just to get into the restaurant at 7 a.m. Even after the waiter wrote down our order, both omelettes came out with the wrong ingredients, and they forgot my toast and bacon. The room was nice visually, but it was freezing cold when we arrived. We basically had to hide under the covers until the heater finally warmed the room up. Overall, this was not a restful or enjoyable stay. The staff seemed kind, but the hotel itself feels badly managed, poorly conceived, and not maintained to the level it should be. For a staycation in Los Angeles, I would absolutely not recommend it. Instead of feeling refreshed, we left feeling frustrated. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had in L.A.
Jordan b Very friendly She is the best is service and reception Feel like home

Excellent
The team at the LA InterContinental is great. From the valets that take vehicles upon arrival. We saw Jerrod P many times and always with a great smile and welcome back greeting. The front desk team that checked us in, Michelle and the person who helped with my bill, susie. The lounge staff is always fantastic and it feels so great when they remember us. The person managing the elevator up to Spire 73 was great when we mentioned we just wanted a cocktail. She directed us where to sit to be comfortable and have a drink. She was right, what a beautiful night. And we love the lights of the top if the hotel.
Steve at the front desk was phenomenal! Exceptional service and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and hotel amenities. Room is very clean with great views of the city.
Upon entry, Sergio & Emerson were super kind & helpful. Sergio was extremely polite & friendly, and made me feel welcome immediately! Emerson checked me in and made sure I was set to having the best experience at the hotel. Really appreciate the staff here!
One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at on the West Coast. I’ve stayed at several hotels in the LA area: Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Irvine. The room was impressive and had a great view. The only complaint I have for my entire stay was the bathroom sink drained slowly. I heard some drilling in the hotel on my second day and I was hoping it was from cleaning the pipes. I’m certain that if I complained, the drain would’ve been fixed right away, given how impressive service was at all other areas of the hotel. Breakfast at La Bucherie is a wonderful experience, which seems to be ensured by the breakfast manager who is everywhere and great staff. I was very happy with the food and the view doesn’t fail to impress. The manager was also very impressive: I saw her all over the restaurant ensuring everything was perfect and her staff were well-supported by her. Nothing seems to escape her attention and while I was one of many people arriving without a reservation and waiting for a table, which was on a holiday weekend and took around 30 minutes to get, she apologized for the wait when my hostess and I walked by her on the way to my table. But there was no need – it seems the manager simply goes above and beyond in all aspects. The wait was comfortable, I asked for a menu, and I had a great view to pass the time. I made a reservation the next day and the waiting area still had every seat occupied and my table wasn’t ready at the reserved time but my wait was only around 2-5 minutes. In addition to the food, the servers and the manager were very nice as well. As the breakfast manager was attending to all of the tables, I had the pleasure of speaking with her briefly when I asked about the beautiful, Austrian pin that she wears for her mother. I was also impressed by one of the bartenders at the lobby bar, Christopher. It felt like I was drinking across from the New York Stock Exchange when he served me. He was smart and quick as a whip on a very busy night. I had a few questions and he had all of the answers, and his answers were precise and researched when necessary. I would’ve been happy with a guess. The property includes an automatic 18% gratuity at all of its bars and restaurants and the service was always worth it. The dinner manager at La Bucherie was also a pleasure to meet while I waited for my chocolate souffle to be prepared. Johnathan C. provided an exceptional check-in experience. Fast, thorough, pleasant, and welcoming. Normally the check-in is one of the annoying aspects of my hotel stays but Johnathan C. made it an experience that I would look forward to having again. I very much appreciated the free 20 minutes of valet parking during check-in. Check your watch if you take advantage of this, because although check-in took only around 5 minutes, there was a long line as it was the start of a holiday weekend.
Steve was excellent - friendly, helpful and articulate. Made me feel very welcome and at home when checking in at the front desk.
Todo
Steve at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown made our stay exceptional from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us with a warm smile and genuinely welcoming attitude that immediately made us feel valued as guests. He went above and beyond by taking the time to explain how my rewards program worked and clearly outlined all of the benefits available during our stay. His knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to help ensured we got the most out of our visit. Outstanding customer service like Steve’s makes a lasting impression. We truly appreciated his attention to detail, kindness, and dedication to providing a great guest experience. Highly recommended, and we look forward to staying here again thanks in large part to Steve’s excellent hospitality!
From Steve at the front desk upon entering the hotel for the first time, to Daniel, helping with my business pelican and luggage, to Mark, the Bellman and Gerardo, the doorman you can rest, assured that your stay will be a breath of fresh air! These incredible folks secured my return! Top notch service from check in - to checkout!!!
My wife Cecilia and I travel to Los Angeles at least once a year and there is nowhere else that we would rather stay than the InterContinental Los Angeles downtown. This is hands-down one of our favorite hotels in the world. Each stay at this property gets better than the last and much of the credit for that is clearly due to the tireless efforts of Front Office Manager Maria S. Cecilia and I had a lovely conversation with Maria at the beginning of our stay and while she was clearly in the middle of attending to several tasks, she generously took the time to have a nice chat with us and asked how our stay was going and if we needed anything. That unparalleled level of attention to the overall guest experience started even before we arrived for check-in as Kelly and Ariel from the Club Lounge Guest Relations team reached out to see what time would expected to arrive, whether we had any special requests and our preferred Diamond Royal Ambassador welcome amenity. That pre-check in outreach truly made us feel like valued guests. The entire Club Lounge Guest Relations staff is an All-Star team - in addition to Kelly, Ariel and Amy, we received first class attention from Michelle A, who remembered us from our last stay in November 2025. The Club Lounge is one of the finest that we’ve ever been to - in addition to the next level guest services, you really can’t top the 70th floor panoramic view of the city and the amazing daily F&B offerings. The Club Lounge attendants were also so friendly and efficient - special mention to Nursulu, Ling, Mara, Ira, Fabiola and Maylene. The property boasts a first class array of amenities that includes a huge fitness center (complete with steam room and sauna), spacious outdoor pool area and excellent restaurants. Our one bedroom was to die for - amazing city views, spacious bedroom and living area and spa-like bathroom. Every aspect of our stay was absolute perfection and the only downside was that we had to check-out. We cannot wait to return during our next trip to the City of Angels!
I had a Delta companion airfare that I wanted to use so after looking at many US destinations, I chose Los Angeles. I coordinated the best use of the Delta voucher (we were able fly 1st class from Orlando to LA roundtrip for just over $600 each!) I booked our arrival evening at an airport IHG hotel and then 3 nights at this hotel. As an IHG Diamond Ambassador, I receive a room upgrade and complimentary breakfast as one of my amenity choices. They also gave me welcome points, which can be an issue of confusion at IHG. Some locations read the Diamond amenity options as 1 choice of points, breakfast, or welcome drink where as others (correctly) say welcome points plus breakfast or drink. I booked a great rate and then when rebooking had my browser set on euro as I was also looking at hotels in Europe for future trips and cancelled my good rate and then realized the new booking was in euro and was $100 more when converted to US$ (my bad). I sent a letter to the hotel about 10 days before our arrival and announced myself as IHG Diamond Ambassador with Club Lounge access due my 40+ IHG nights the prior year. I explained our planned early arrival after transferring from the HIE to downtown around noon and noted that we could wait in the Club Lounge if our room were not yet available. I received a prompt response from Maria S. She welcomed me and explained the Club Lounge hours and offerings as I had requested, the process for early check-in, the breakfast limitation-my voucher was good for 2 adults per day, including all charges (i.e. tips), but they exclude Steak & Eggs and the Benedict dish from the complimentary list. It turned out that we could have ordered those 2 dishes and paid the upcharge (amount above $34). I could have applied $25 per day F&B credit from the $39 daily Facility fee plus the $20 per stay credit I receive as an Ambassador to these 2 dishes but didn’t on this stay (next time I will)! I received a system generated email about an upgrade and responded that I should have already received an upgrade at booking (again, an Ambassador perk as is 4 p.m. check-out time); I received another prompt response, this time from Kelly C., with news of our upgrade to a Junior Suite and other information. Maria S. also responded a few days later upon return to work. Arrival: We arrived by Lyft just after noon on Saturday 23 May and took the elevator to the 70th floor lobby. We could have checked in more quickly at another line, but I decided to wait in the one with a sign for IHG Reward members. I’m glad I did since Maris S. was there. She remembered me and explained that our room was not quite yet available and walked us to the Club Lounge, also on the 70th floor. In casual conversation along the way, I mentioned our last visit to the IC Paris Le Grand. The director of that lounge had been in LA last November when we were in Paris (a long story), but it gave Maria and me a shared thread. Kelly also remembered him although I don’t think I ever met her, but she and I did text during our stay. I showed Maria and texted same to Kelly of Monsieur Saint-Laurent in the Paris lounge on one of our many visits. In telling about that Paris stay, I mentioned how we took a smaller room than we had received as an upgrade because it had a separate bathtub (and mainly didn’t smell mucky as so many rooms do in that historical Paris landmark); Maria then changed our room to one with a separate tub so that made our stay even better and maybe our wait 15 minutes or so longer but worth it! The room: We were assigned Room #4318. Everything was great about this room except a few issues with the bathroom design. I had a recent knee replacement so a safety bar to get in/out of deep tub would have made things easier-I didn’t slip or anything, but? Also, I don’t understand why many American Intercontinental locations don’t have a handheld spray nozzle for rinsing in the shower. Only other room issue was bathroom lighting, which lit up entire room when turned on in the middle of the night because of frosted glass divide. A separate control for the toilet room light would have been better and not disturbed the other person’s darkness! Other than these minor issues, the room was great. The city views were fantastic, the TV was good with ample channels, the bed was very comfortable, there was enough storage area, including a safe, a table with good chairs, and most importantly, everything was clean! Breakfast: We ate at La Boucherie on the 71st floor each morning. Since I will do a separate review on TripAdvisor, I will not make any more comments than I’ve already made in my introduction except to say that Ray (on 2nd morning) and Steven (on 3rd morning) went above and beyond! Club Lounge: We spent much time in the Club Lounge, which is open from 6:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. We would stop by on the way to breakfast for coffee plus some bottled water. They have a buffet breakfast for those who prefer this option so I would also have my favorite breakfast meat, bacon, so I could choose another side later in the restaurant. 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. was the “Cocktail and hors d’oeuvres” time. Sweets were available all day, but each evening, some other tasty morsels, both warm and chilled, would be added. Over the 3 evenings plus for us, there were large shrimp, empanadas, charcuterie offerings, and much more with changing dishes each evening. A full bar was available with mixers, but there were only 2 wine choices, both California, one red and one white. They also let us stay there a few hours after we checked out the last day since we had a late flight home. The 3 full nights, we received great attention from Nursulu, originally from Kazakhstan. She did a great job and kept everything running smoothly (restocking, cleaning, etc.) so we gave her a little “pourboire” (tip) as they say in Paris once we found out she wouldn’t be there the very last night. We would eat a big lunch in DTLA and then have enough choices each evening to avoid eating dinner elsewhere. In conclusion, the staff was professional, the food was mostly tasty, the drinks were good (but more wine, perhaps some French choices, and diet tonic for my G&T would have been a nice addition), the hours were sufficient (some close as early as 8 p.m.), the views were spectacular, the one unisex bathroom was kept clean, etc. etc. In conclusion, this was a fantastic stay and one I hope to do again often in the future. Because of the spire on top of the hotel, this is billed as the tallest structure on the US west coast, but not the tallest building. The uniqueness of checking in on the 70th floor and then descending to the hotel room was quirky. Access via the Metro rail was easy as we had to leave our Sunday LA tour, which was running long due to holiday weekend traffic, early in Santa Monica in order to make it back for cocktails. We were able to get back just after 6 without changing trains in just under an hour. The fare was cheap (35 cents for seniors), but we had to purchase a $10 reusable card. It was safe so getting around LA is manageable. There were several decent restaurants within easy walking distance. The Club Lounge was our favorite US Intercontinental lounge. It was close to the high standards of those in Paris, London, and Sydney. We will definitely return, and I will work with Kelly (or others) about the breakfast upgrades. Thanks for letting me write my TripAdvisor memory about such a wonderful place with so many top notch people!
We had a great stay here! Clean, modern, great views and food! We had breakfast at their onsite restaurant and dinner at their rooftop restaurant Spire and had great meals! My daughter loved the pool! It was a short drive to universal studios in the morning (12 mins to be exact). Afternoon, due to traffic, took us like 30 mins. We plan on coming back to LA in Nov and definitely considering staying here again.
Great stay
It was brilliant
Metro is just across the street from the hotel . Very welcoming and helpful staff. Highest building in LA, modern and safe.
Alberto was a great help everyone was friendly and very helpful would recommend to come again !
