The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were nice. We stayed here because we had an event on at the convention center. It was nice and close just a short walk to the convention center.

The breakfast was not great. Ther were a lot of homeless around. This was in no fault of the hotel and in fact, I thought the hotel dealt with this issue well, locking the doors so you needed to swipe in just to enter the property. The only issue there is when you arrive, we couldn't get in, and it took the staff quite a while to realise and let us in the front doors.

BEDBUGS. When I walked into the hotel, I was clean and pretty. When I walked out of the hotel, my neck and arm were swollen with bites from the bedbugs. I have complained to the hotel a couple of times about that. So far, no one has contacted me yet.

Dangerous area, so we ubered often despite being close to the convention center because many threatening individuals skulking around at night. Hard to get peaceful sleep due to lots of screaming in the streets throughout day and night, thin walls. Day 1 after checkin I looked outside the window to see a man pooping on the sidewalk, wipe himself with tissue paper, then leave. Room was decently clean, can’t say anything about valet since we didn’t use it. Free breakfast always a plus. Just seems expensive for having to spend a premium being close to the convention center but feeling so unsafe walking around at night. Oh and charged me $25 more for the security deposit which I had to contact my credit card company about :)

I want start off saying the staff was very helpful and very kind. My low review is based off of everything else. The only thing comfortable about my room was the bed. The phones in my room did not work so every time I needed something I had tk walk to the lobby to ask for it. Also, the heater was broken so that was really fun. To end things on a worse note the cockroaches at the breakfast was pretty gross.

The staff was very nice. Loved the idea that they had valet in front to let you know when your car arrived especially because of the homeless population in front of the hotel. On 4th of July they kept the rooftop open late for fireworks.

When I reserved the hotel online it stated that there was a fridge in the room. Upon checking into the room we realized the small room they put us in did not have a fridge. We needed the fridge to store my husband’s insulin. They informed us that we would have to pay almost $75 more for a room with a fridge.

Sorunu çözmek için arada aleyhimize fiyat farkı olduğunu smylediğimizde booking müşterilerine, geri ödeme yapamayacakları ifade ettiler, tatilin ilk günü bu olayla gergin ve sevimsiz başladı, aynı gün bizim ısrarımızla çift yataklı bir oda verdiler odanın penceresi tamamen bir duvara bakıyordu, buzdolabı bozuk, banyo kapısını bozuk, hiç kullanmadık ancak kasa kilidini kırık vardı, daha sonra buzdolabı ve banyo kapısını onardılar. Daha önce Newyork ta bu yıl 2 kez Hampton otelde kaldım çok memnuniyetim üzerine sanfracisco da Hampton tercih ettim ama ilk günkü deneyimim ve bana verilen odayı beğenmem beklenilemez. Sonuç olarak 25 temmuz günü resepsiyon da otel sorumluluğunu yerine getirmeyen bir ekip bulunduğunu bilmelisiniz.

We were there for World Cup USA game. It's a decent enough location and we are Diamond Members. We've stayed at a number of Hamptons. This one was so, so. It was outdated and carpet seemed dirty but probably just old. Room was small, although bed was comfortable. Breakfast was the usual, but they had the same sausage two days in a row, not customary, but they did have bacon on the third morning. The front desk people were very nonchalant, and the worst was the valet. They would just disappear with the keys and we would have to hunt them down. The last morning, we ordered the car, waited a bit, then went on down. They had lost the ticket but didn't let us know. David told them what car, and it took forever to get it. If they had let us know instead of waiting 15 to 20 minutes before we finally went down, then they could have found it sooner. We were headed for Sacramento and Mt. Shasta. It caused us to get there later than we wanted and again, valet was a problem the entire time. It was the worst Hampton we've stayed at.

If it were possible to give the Hampton Inn in San Francisco a 6+ star rating, I certainly would. The room accommodations were better than I expected. Very clean, spacious bathroom, nice shower. The breakfast was delicious—a different variety of breakfast items everyday. The hotel is close to many attractions in San Francisco on foot or by cable car. Now let’s talk about why they really deserve a 6 plus rating. When I returned home after my trip and unpacked my luggage, I discovered I left a brand new designer leather backpack my husband purchased for me in the room—it still had the tags on it. The next morning, I called the front desk to see if perhaps someone in housekeeping had found the bag and turned it in. Less than two hours later, I received a call—my backpack was located and turned into the hotel’s lost and found. My first thought was: There is still good in the world😇. The bag was shipped to my home address and arrived a few days later. Deepak, you are the man!!!👍🏽 Thank you for providing such excellent customer service…you went the extra mile, did what you promised you would do, and saved my marriage.. LOL. Hope to see you in 2027 with family and friends😇.

It’s a nice hotel, located in a slightly less nice area. Hot and tasty breakfast is included in the price. It’s very close to a few convenient stores, bars, restaurants, and 2-3 metro stations.

It’s not their fault but there are a lot of homeless people in this part of the city.

The man at the front desk with the low fade was such a welcome. The safety he provided and informing instructions was excellent. He definitely has what it takes to keep a business running smoothly and copacetic. Thank you for having this blessing on board.

For 700$+ this was a low level experience and quality hotel. The front desk staff are very rude and hold a tone/attitude with every conversation. We asked for basic necessities like an extra towel, a trash bag, or even a plunger and every response was “NO, we can’t do that” without any follow up. Because our room did not receive any cleaning service the whole stay (3 night) we asked for more towels and the ability to get rid of our trash + new liner… the response was “no we don’t do room service today.” This makes senses as people were beginning to pile trash bags with rotten food in the stair wells. Like I said, low quality hotel, no accommodations, and you better not ask for anything at front desk if you don’t want them to ruin your day on top of it.

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Love the free breakfast. Will definitely stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel, and let me tell you, it was a horror show from start to finish. The place was grimy, the service was a joke, and not the funny kind. I left medicine in the fridge after checkout—no biggie, right? I called right away, said I’d send a shipping label and to keep it cold. Simple? Not here. They ignored the label, let my $300 medicine rot, and when I asked the GM what happened, he basically shrugged and said, “Tough luck!” Zero accountability. Zero care

I was skeptical due to other negative reviews however we found this Hampton to be as good as other Hampton Inns and we use them alot. Deepak at the front desk took great care of us, checking us in early and helping to store our bags for the day when we checked out. Our room was very clean. Yes, the area had a homeless population and it bothered me to see this, however these people did not bother us at all. It was just sad.

I was assigned to Room 606 and found visible brown stains on the mattress when the bedding was pulled back. I’m attaching a photo. I called the front desk to request help and was told there wasn’t anything they could do. I explained I would not sleep on a bed in that condition. The staff member said they would call me back, but after about 15 minutes I received no call. When I called again, I was told there were no rooms available. After I restated that I was not sleeping on that mattress, a different room suddenly became available. When my friend went with the staff member to open the new room, the interaction felt unprofessional and made her feel unsafe. The staff member asked personal questions and repeatedly insisted on giving his personal phone number, telling her to call him because that was the best way to reach him. Separately, he also had her leave a shoe to hold a door open, which resulted in her walking shoeless back to our original room while we were trying to resolve the room situation. I only contacted staff through the hotel phone. This is not what I expect from a Hampton Inn. The combination of a stained mattress and staff conduct left us exhausted and uncomfortable.

Who wants a brick wall for a window...? Well, if you want, go for this one. What a disastrous, dingy, depressing place. We asked for a paid upgrade. The lady at the lobby (a brown) pushed my wife (a brown) aside...to let a couple of white guests to get out of turn service! My wife was so angry... How do we define a Brown doing this to another Brown - to 'serve' a few Whites? Can't even call it Racism, can I? Overall, just not worth anyone's happiness, time, money and respect.

If you are a woman traveling alone or with a group of women, do NOT stay here. The location feels very unsafe, and the hotel was not helpful at all. This has honestly been the worst place I’ve ever stayed. I felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe the entire time. The hotel was not clean, and the rooms were not nice at all. At night, you can hear people yelling outside, and the area is full of homeless individuals. Overall, it was a very stressful and unpleasant experience.

Hilton Diamond member here. I’ve stayed in hundreds of Hamptons and this property is by far the worst I’ve seen. Aside from the staff and management’s unrelenting attempts to scam us, the property was dirty, poorly maintained, and unsafe. You can expect broken elevators, trash littering the hallways, rooms haphazardly cleaned, and crazy people screaming outside 24 hours a day. Make sure you check your Hilton points at the end of your stay because they tried to upload a $12 convenience store receipt rather than the $4,700 one which would have cost me 82k points if I hadn’t caught it.

Friendly & Great Customer Service. Secure place. Felt safe staying at the hotel especially with the druggies and a lot of homeless out on the street . You had to use your key to access the hotel. Uber & Waymo was very accessible and within walking distance to areas I had to visit. I wish they had a shuttle to the airport. The bedrooms where a little small but Overall, quiet atmosphere, comfortable beds.

Arrived at 12 noon with a shot of getting into my room just a tad bit early. Front desk says there are plenty of rooms available and can get me in. They then proceed to to tell me that there is an early check in fee. Even though they have my reservation and plenty of rooms available, no early check in ever without a fee. Not the best location for SF, not the worst. I would never stay here EVER if it wasn’t for work and someone was covering the initial costs. There are better hotels for the price in this city. Rooms are tiny as well and kinda beat up.

The Hampton Inn on Mission proved to be a convenient location- close to theaters and some great restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even at 5am! Our room had a beautiful view of the city, and provided all of the comforts we needed.

I had an excellent stay at the Hampton Inn San Francisco Downtown. The room was beautiful, much nicer in person than the pictures online suggest. I had a fridge and a great view of downtown. All the staff were incredibly friendly, but Cindy especially made the stay top-notch. She was extremely kind and helpful throughout my stay. Hilton/Hampton Inn should feel proud to have Cindy as a representation of their company.

Our stay was extremely pleasant. Everything from checking in to breakfast and checking out was smooth and easy! This is not a luxury hotel, but it is SAFE CLEAN WORRY FREE! I would definitely recommend staying here. The staff is very attentive!

I enjoyed how clean and cozy the room was, especially the view we had of the city from our window. I also enjoyed the rooftop terrace over looking the area. It made me feel safe to know that they don't allow everyone in the lobby and that it's operated either with a room key or manually by the front desk, especially being in an area that isn't the best. They kept it pretty secure. I also enjoyed how the front desk answered every call immediately without wait time and they were very professional and friendly.

I didn't like the environment outside of the hotel but obviously they can't control that. I also didn't like how parking wasn't included in the price of the room, but that's literally every hotel in SF.

12/31/25-1/1/26- Property was right in mission district aka tenderloin. I had a homeless guy try to open my car door while waiting for valet to get my car (luckily the door was locked). Only 2 staff members at the desk during the beginning of check in time (3:20pm) and service was slow. There was an extremely long line and not enough space to get past guests who were waiting to be checked in.

Besonders positiv fand ich, dass das Bad sehr geräumig war und man auch im Zimmer selbst genügend Platz hatte. 2. Das Frühstück Das Frühstück hat mir ausgesprochen gut gefallen. Es gab eine große Auswahl an herzhaften und süßen Speisen – ideal, vor allem wenn man aus Europa kommt und eine gewisse Vielfalt gewohnt ist. Es gab auch immer frisches Obst. 3. Die Lobby-Getränke In der Lobby konnte man sich jederzeit Kaffee oder Tee holen – unbegrenzt. Das fand ich wirklich klasse, da es sehr komfortabel ist und man sich jederzeit bedienen kann. 4. Kostenloses Wasser bei der Ankunft Besonders nett fand ich, dass man zu Beginn zwei Flaschen Wasser erhalten hat. Ein kleiner, aber sehr hilfreicher Service.

Im Großen und Ganzen gibt es nichts, was mir negativ aufgefallen wäre. Ich war sehr zufrieden mit meinem Aufenthalt. Bei dem Frühstück wäre es schön, wenn die Eigerichte (Omletts etc) vegetarisch sein könnten. Oft war Fleisch mit drin, das fand ich schade.

The location of the property is terrible. Staff tried to mislead me about the safety of my car. I was charged for valet service that was blocks away from the hotel. In an area that is unsupervised unlocked homeless encampment. I ended up leaving that night. The whole experience was terrible and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Das Hotel liegt zentral um ein Wochenende in San Francisco zu starten. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. Das Frühstück war für amerikanische Verhältnisse sehr gut. In 10 Minute ist man an der Cable Car oder aber an der Bahn F. Beide fahren zum Hafen. Zu Fuß ist man auch schnell zu den anderen Attraktionen, wie Chinatown oder Grace Cathedrale. Die Anstiege sind aber teilweise anstrengend. Rund um das Hotel befinden sich zwar viele Obdachlose, man wird aber in Ruhe gelassen. Insgesamt ist das Hotel zu empfehlen.

Preislich gesehen hätte ich das Hotel unter 200 € pro Nacht eingeordnet.

Clean, down town, breakfast was excellent.

The room was so small you barely had room for your suitcase. There was a homeless man between the lobby door and the outside door sleeping and quivering. Front desk guy came out and tried to move him and he couldn’t wake. I’m not sure what happened there because our car came and we were gone all day.

Staff. Caucasian lady who works front desk at night is very rude I noticed them talking about us and laughing in the room when the other employee went back to tell her we need our car. She is very impatient and make us feel uncomfortable. We felt discriminated against because we did not have our parking ticket. We don’t know why her approach and attitude seemed irritated. Also the valet parking attendant ruined a tire and scraped our back tire which wasn’t like that before. Careless with handling vehicle. I have an image Other staff was nice.

I was there with my dog and we both enjoyed our stay. The bed was super comfy and we both felt very safe in your room.

The room was fairly clean, although the bedsheets had some stains. The rooms are pretty dated in this hotel. Definitely could use some updating. The free breakfast was good, however.

My room was not throughly clean upon arrival. I had to request housekeeping come to my room. We were two guest and only two towels were available in my room. We had to request more.
