Amazing location in the heart of Oaxaca. Room was huge and very comfortable and the staff was very nice.

Really well located hotel, lovely staff, the rooms were clean and the pool area was nice. Breakfast was very nice too, à la carte style. Large open foyer area/central courtyard with lots of seating for casual chats.

The pool is very good, but coulb be better a section only for adults.

Beautiful and very clean right in the middle of the Centro Historico de Oaxaca. The service was outstanding and the breakfasts were incredible.

Localización perfecta, en pleno centro histórico de Oaxaca; el personal excelente; y los desayunos buenisimos. Además, en la azotea hay una alberca para refrescarse del calor de la ciudad.

La unica pega, que la habitación no tenia ventana al exterior. No obstante, no por ello dejaba de ser lu.inosa.

The breakfast was excellent. The location was excellent. The staff was polite and helpful. The hotel was clean, though ultra modern and a bit sterile. The lobby & decor could have been more colorful and contained more plants, but it was really cool how they opened the roof in the lobby every morning. The small pool on the roof was a very nice amenity and we used it a few times. We enjoyed out stay.

I would have liked to see more Mexican color and plants in the lobby and hallways. Pictures, carvings, textiles, or other local artisan works would have made this feel more special.

Localização fantástica, na rua principal. Pátio interior bonito e típico. Para quem valoriza uma localização conveniente, é uma boa escolha.

Instalações básicas e algo degradadas. Exaustor da casa de banho tão barulhento que é impossível não acordar a outra pessoa durante a noite. O mesmo quanto ao ar condicionado. Pequeno almoço inclui um prato quente (ovos), um prato de fruta, um sumo, café, e um prato pequeno de pão doce/bolos para partilhar. Para quem espera um pequeno almoço diverso e substancial, não é uma boa opçao. É igualmente estranho não incluir pão simples, e a expectativa parece ser a de que duas pessoas partilhem um pan au chocolat, um pão doce, e 2/3 mini pãezinhos doces.

Die Lage

Die Einrichtung ist sehr kalt; es gibt nichts weiter als das Allernötigste. Keine Pantoffeln ( für diesen Preis, hätte man sie erwarten können). Beim Frühstück sind Gipfeli und Capuccino oder Kaffee (kein American Coffee) Extras. Kein Lift. Für uns keon Problem; man sollte es aber erwähnen.

We stayed three nights. The first room was noisy, second night they moved us to a smaller room which was a little more quiet. But the bed was smaller and the room was small. Third night it was definitely more quiet, but it reflected on the charges. We paid more for that room.

Superb location;, close to everywhere two blocks from Sto Domingo and walking distance to the Cathedral. Extremely friendly and efficient staff. Great breakfast!! Excellent service for the price. It has a nice touch or modern construction combined with an an old building. Super clean. Family oriented.

No amenities in the pool area, such as TV, bar, etc. Swimming pool does not have easy access for handicapped people or elders.

They had warned us but the rooftop and pool were closed for maintenance. There was no noise from the workers though, which was great.

We had a wonderful and quiet stay at Parador de Alcalá. The room and bathroom were modern, the beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. Portions were generous, fresh, and delicious. Note: We had to request smaller portions after day 2. We requested a quiet room before arrival and were assigned an interior room without windows, which was perfect after long days of sightseeing. Keep in mind that rooms facing the street may experience some traffic noise, so I recommend requesting an interior room if you’re a light sleeper.

Rooms do not have refrigerators. Air Conditioner vent blows air directly on you while in bed. Interior rooms lack sunlight and outdoor air. Shower floor needs rubber mat to prevent slipping—very dangerous.

The location, the pool area, and the breakfast were all excellent. But above all was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.

This gorgeous hotel is housed in a beautiful historic building located in central Oaxaca City, Mexico on the Acala, a car free street within walking distance of great shops, street markets, cultural attractions and restaurants. Of particular note is the staff who are welcoming, warm and helpful individuals from the front desk, Margarita and the concierge group, Marisol and the wait staff to Amalia overseeing the amazing rooftop pool area, always greeting with a fantastic smile and great service. The accommodations are first rate and wonderful and beautifully maintained. The breakfasts, served in a gorgeous courtyard are delicious. This was a memorable stay; we were treated like royalty.

The hotel is located right on the city historic centre, on the pedestrian street that leads to all the major attractions. You can see from the hotel the folkloric parades that pass by almost daily. Everything is a short distance walk. We had a superior room with two beds, the room was very large with very high ceilings which I very much liked, the bathroom was also big with a walk-in shower and a separate sink. We requested a crib for our baby, and we got a beautiful wooden crib with very comfortable bedding. Besides the location, when I booked the hotel, I read that it had superb breakfast, and it did not disappoint! The breakfast menu is widely varied, with some mexican options as well as continental type breakfast, the quality was over the top, which was evident as I noticed that some locals (non-guests) came to the restaurant just to have breakfast. The courtyard where the breakfast is served is very pleasant and the staff are always gentle and polite. We ordered food from the restaurant also for dinner and lunch, and it was very good, even better than some of the restaurants nearby. It was nice to have a pool at the hotel to enjoy in the afternoons. I highly recommend! Would love to go back anytime

Our room was a little noisy, especially on the weekend, as it was located right on the street with two large windows that may need some sound proofing.

The staff are so friendly, and the space is beautiful. The room was slightly small, but it was modern and clean. The rooftop pool is really relaxing, and the breakfast is fantastic. The location is perfect for a trip into Oaxaca City, everything is within walking distance.

My family of 4 stayed here from 12/27 to 1/2. The hotel is very nicely located as you can easily walk to all the points of interest in central Oaxaca. The hotel is very clean, the staff very attentive and the breakfast is good. Most of the rooms surround the spacious courtyard so it can get a little loud, but noise was not a major issue. We really enjoyed our stay here.

This hotel was one of our favorite parts of visiting Oaxaca. It’s in a fantastic central location close to the zócalo, mercados, and more. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the service is great. The hotel is very clean, and the women who maintain it work very hard every day. Your stay comes with free breakfast in the restaurant/patio on the first floor. The breakfast is phenomenal, and honestly, on some days it was our only meal because of how filling it is. It’s also a great value for your money. The only negatives are that the bathroom design leads to a very wet floor, and since there is only tile, you need to be careful. Our door was also a bit difficult to unlock with the key card and only seemed to work after several tries. Lastly, as someone else mentioned, as in many places in Mexico, there is no elevator. We were on the third floor, so that was fun. However, their wonderful staff is happy to help with luggage when you arrive and when you leave. Overall, I will definitely stay here again on my future trips to this wonderful city.

This hotel is a little gem in central Baha Kaka. Private rooms are available. There is central courtyard and it is beautifully appointed.Free breakfast was included and there is a small inviting pool on the rooftop with long chairs and a shaded area with plants and a pool bar to enjoy the rooftop. The used from the rooftop are stunning.Util staff are extremely polite and service oriented and do not hesitate to help with anything we need. Plenty of drinking water is available. Our room had a great coffee machine, Nespresso.There are stairs, so the hotel is not accessible unless you stay in the rooms on the first floor. Not all rooms have windows, but all are large and comfortable. I would look forward to staying at this wonderful hotel again.Professional artwork and interesting artifacts adorn the interior of hotel and are very eye-catching.

Le prix est très élevé. Il faut avoir des bouchons car c’est vraiment très bruyant. L’hôtel est situé sur un des coins de rues les plus achalandés de Oaxaca

This hotel is in a central location On a central block that is closed to traffic. Nearby and within walking distance are the Cultural Museum, art galleries, jewelry stores, restaurants, and more! The staff truly goes out of their way to assist guests. The cleanliness is superior, and maintenance of this architecturally interesting property is impressive. Pool patio at top floor has shaded copies and lounging chairs, and provide amazing views of the churches and city. Not too far from the hotel are the amazing ancient Zapotec city of Monte Alban.

Not all guest rooms have windows, although ours did. If you can't climb stairs, ask for a first floor room. Pool is not heated so water is very cold. If you are sensitive to noise, ask for a quiet room as they have those too. Pool highly recommend this hotel.

Love everything about this hotel, location, cleanliness and comfort. Rooms are spacious and beds/bedding are very comfortable and luxurious. The location cannot be any better as the front door opens to the pedestrian only street in the historic center. Breakfast was also included and the choices are vast from chilaquiles to pancakes and French toast. Coffee or tea and juice, fruit and sweet breads are also provided. And not just cafe Americano, but espresso drinks as well. Such a nice way to vacation in Oaxaca City.

There is no elevator, but the staff gladly helps with your luggage.

My family was coming to Oaxaca and they insisted on returning to Parador de Alcala. They were guests there when it opened a couple of years ago. It's first class, located in the heart of Oaxaca, and has an outstanding staff. The rooms are very spacious with all the amenities possible including air conditioning. They rave about the great included breakfasts. There's a rooftop pool, sun deck and gym. It's located on the pedestrian street Alcala, just two blocks from the Zocalo, heart of the city. The walls are thick and the balcony doors too so street noise is not a problem. A plus for them in a junior suite was having a small refrigerator. One consideration, however, is that there isn't an elevator; few Oaxaca hotels have them.

It was an amazing stay. The property is located 5 minute walk from the Zocalo and 2 min walk from Iglesia de Santo Domingo and surrounded by amazing restaurants and beautiful buildings. The staff was extremely kind, friendly and supportive whenever needed. Good breakfast was included. Totally recommended.

I don’t ever leave reviews normally . But this particular place the staff was very attentive and courteous. The last day there I got hurt the staff all tended to me as if I were family . They showed true compassion. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely go back.

Very clean facility in a fantastic location right on the walking street. Great morning breakfast. Everything was clean and relatively new and in good repair and the staff was friendly. The hotel is set up with an atrium in the center with windows opening into the building and closed off from the outside, which also was very nice and enabled a very quiet environment while whatever was happening on the outside went on.

It’s picky, but the air conditioning was a little too powerful for the size of the room that we had. It always felt like you were being blown on.

Great breakfast and great staff all-around. One of a handful of places downtown that has a treadmill and bike … but remember to leave the door open, or you’ll get some heat training in along with the altitude!

The lotion, shampoo and conditioner dried us out. The staff wasn’t as warm as other places we have stayed at in Mexico but they weren’t not nice either just mild mannered.
