Staybridge Suites Carlsbad/San Diego by IHG

Overall it was good for extended stay

The breakfast was same thing every single day, The breakfast was until 9:30 AM but by 9:15,they stop restocking items that were finished. Hotel needs to put in place a rule for young children getting food unsupervised.

The continental breakfast was just right !!! We enjoyed starting the day off w/the free breakfast. The rooms are updated, quiet, and exactly as depicted. We love the walk-ability of going to dinner on foot across the street to the Eureka, as well as Del Lusso Pizza which were both FANTASTIC !!!! The pool area at Staybridges is very nice, and the staff was friendly !!! We truly loved our stay at the StayBridges, and we will be back in the future !!! We loved the free solar-covered parking that provided shade for our new vehicle !!! All together, it was an awesome stay !!!

There is an "ant" problem at this time of year in Carlsbad, so we understood not to freak out over them,,,,, but there were quite a few in our room (which didn't turn out to be a problem). We appreciated the staff and the signs in the elevator informing us of this problem. One of the two elevators was out for the entire four day stay at Staybridges, and on Sunday, the 2nd one also went out. We were on the 3rd floor so it made it a pain to run up to the room over and over,,,,, this didn't matter to us, but we saw a lady on a cane that was complaining that she wasn't going to be able to take the stairs over and over. The one elevator was repaired by the end of the day, so everyone appreciated having access to it again !!!

Front desk is friendly

Elevator is not working, having to use the stairs, was not fun at all. I’m handicapped and so is my daughter, bathroom toilet not working properly?

Nothing

A lot of everything

We were visiting legoland so I loved how close it was to the park and other places in Carlsbad!

Honestly everything was amazing , I would come back!

Everything was great!

The staff was friendly, everyday

One of the room they assigned was so dirty and smelled so bad . The manager gave another room which was better and clean.

We requested to have one room ready earlier than four but they were not able To accommodate us

Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Clean, spacious pool area. Recreational activities. Large lobby with TV’s and tables.

Vagrants aloud to roam freely.

The room was great! Having the separated bedroom, kitchenette, and living room was exactly what we needed. The kids enjoyed having space to move around. The coffee maker and refrigerator functioned perfectly without being noisy. Carpets were clean enough to walk barefoot.

Staff was nice and friendly

The smoking part

The Kitchen Flooded 3x & The Reason I Chise That Hotel Is Because Of The Kitchen Therefore I Can Cook

They Did Nothing To Fix The Issues

Very nice facility. Light, bright and clean. All of the employees are extremely nice and accommodating. Breakfast was good every morning.

The noise from the room above me. I did end up calling the front desk one night to complain and she took care of it immediately.

Room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was very very good and we were very happy with staff service who were serving Breakfast

Everything was good but only Location wasn't close to anything to see, like beach or other attractions, may be on the entrance may be telling guest about close attractions

It was quite, clean and friendly and accommodating staff.

The shower was clean beds were soft

Rude clerk lady kind of younger darker skin tone charged me again on a car so now I’m fighting with the banks

The facility was clean and close to theme parks

The room was missing dishes and pots, door handles were broken and refrigerator was missing parts although once I informed them they took care of it, it still was an inconvenience to myself and family.

Great location once you found it Nice spacious rooms. Kitchen amenities good. Loved the pool and spa. Happy hour was a treat.

No windows that could be opened so no fresh air in the rooms. No towel racks.

Nice facilities

Breakfast was just ok!

I enjoyed the basketball court, fire, and breakfast.

That I forgot to play the giant Tetris game! But that’s on me not you.

The property was welcoming and quiet! The amenities such as complimentary laundry room and swimming pool were nice. My kids enjoyed the outside grassy area. We also really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.

Some of the furniture seemed a little outdated in the rooms. Front desk staff seemed a little unorganized as they issued a room to a guest that was already occupied by another guest. Then they also messaged me stating that I hadn’t checked in on day 1 of my stay.

Very clean, comfortable beds, amazing breakfast, loved the complimentary 24/7 laundry option.

We liked everything.

The property was nice

It was hard to find at first but other than that it was nice me and my family enjoyed our stay would stay again

Easy to find

Parking is tight, but that’s CA in general.

Location

Clean and close to everything

Nothing wrong i can find maybe just a little bit pricey Or maybe just no pancake 😭🤪😂

Amenities were great.

Breakfast served too late

La propreté et le personnel très accueillant

Rien à signaler

Staff and the comfort of the room

Nothing

the staff and how clean the property was

The breakfast was good. The location felt secure.

The couches should be cleaned

Everything about there

Everything about there wos good

clean, family friendly, activities for family to do in courtyard area,

I choose to stay at Staybridge almost every time I travel to Carlsbad because of its comfortable rooms with sofa, desk, and basic kitchen. If you want to cook, there's a Sprouts and Trader Joe's within walking distance, and if you don't: many restaurants as well. The breakfast is very good and the staff always friendly.

I didn’t like anything about the property when I arrived the parking lot was being worked on so we had to enter through holiday inn, Also the room was very dirty and had roaches I immediately packed all our things and left in the middle of the night

The staff, the young lady who worked overnight there couldn’t accommodate me in any way since we had a roach in our room. She just told me reach out to the management team.

The beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly and the facilities were clean

I didn't like that the bathroom light would stay on even when I flipped the switch to off, that was kinda weird and it was a little noisy because there were kids running up and down the hallway

Very nice and clean

N/A

Breaskfast and room cleanliness was the best part

We loved the healthy breakfast options and the coffee was really good!

in the beginining it was the wifi connection but they quickly fixed

There were small cockroaches in our bathroom and on the bed. I notified tbe hotel staff.

Great place

Good breakfast and room very comfortable and clean

Our room air conditioner did not cool down the room we were in but our attached room did.

I liked the pool area my Room wasn’t the Room in the photo that I picked but I traveled from Alaska so I just accepted it the Room I chose at the Rate I was charged was supposed to be a 2 room suite that’s shat it said on the web site but will I stay there again not for the price and the room I was put in but it was an enjoyable stay

The room could have been the one I chose on the website

The hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff is very helpful.

The breakfast space is tight and noisy.

Clean and great

Great property for families with kids. The rooms are large enough to spread out a little and they have good breakfast.

Lots of space for families, we liked having a full kitchen with everything we need to enjoy our vacation. Clean and good amenities

The HVAC system was locked on and went down to 59 degrees.Everyone was cold inthe room.

Their suites fit our family of 8 perfect!! The beds were VERY comfortable and that’s exactly what I look for in a hotel! Free parking and breakfast is a major plus! Will definitely stay again if we’re in the area again.

Great stay!

We liked our quiet room, clean and near our family.

The breakfast was minimal. We made it work, but if the quality of the food could be better that would be good. Specifically: the hot water was never hot enough to make tea, the eggs were overcooked and the premade omelets were not good, the oatmeal was runny, and the plain yogurt was sometimes vanilla flavored. We need plain yogurt.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel was welcoming and clean, but in need of some repairs/furniture replacement. I did have a silverfish crawl across my leg, so wasn’t thrilled about that. Pool area was decent, but hot tub was pretty cloudy. Overall a good stay and we would consider staying there again in the future for the discounted price we paid.

The hot tub was cold and the swimming pool unheated. They kept sayng they fixed it but they hadnt. I checked out and got a refund

Pool is well kept, super friendly helpful staff, very clean and very well sized kitchen in the rooms . The building does need some up keep as some furniture was visibly dated peeling leather, paint chipping or bathroom tiles broken .

Everything. The staff were friendly and the pool was fun for the kids.

Mattresses and pillows were very comfortable and breakfast was a plus.

The suite was completely equipped with everything we needed. The patio and recreation areas are large and shared with the adjoining Holiday Inn. The area is quiet in spite of the nearby business airport.

The size of the King suite is on the small side. It includes a lot, but there is not a lot of open space. There were a lot of choices for breakfast, but I was disappointed in the quality, the "fresh baked" goods were hard and dry.

The property is nice. But weekend breakfast starts at 7:30 am. And we have to send our kid to test before 7:00. We booked the hotel because the website said breakfast start at 6:30 daily. And our kid wants to have nice breakfast before his big test. He is quite disappointed. Please specify the time correctly.

Excellent property and excellent staff. Great pool and games area. Nice hospitality nights on Tuesday and Wednesday.

This hotel shares it's outdoor space with another hotel (Hilton, sister property) and it's easy to confuse the hotel entrances (Staybridge is on the backside when enter parking lot); staff at both locations were friendly and helpful! At Staybridge, rooms were spacious, clean and kitchen was stocked with basics. Of note, rooms are cleaned regularly M-Th; must request cleaning/new towels etc. on the weekend. Breakfast had a lot of option, including 2 waffle machines and attentive staff. Great stay and close to Legoland- we'd use again!

Pool, room and food

The place was great only one thing my kids found a pair of underwear in the room under the bed

Everything was great

For some reason the temp in the hallways was like 76 degrees and i didn’t understand that at all

Overall, we had a very good stay. The people above us sounded like they were having a stomp contest, but after we asked the front desk to ask them to quiet down, it stopped. Another thing I would suggest is to clean the tile around the inside of the pool. It had a lot of scum which makes the pool look dirty. Other than that, everything was great. The complimentary breakfast was tasty and they even had a couple nights during the week where they offered wine, beer and tacos/salad.

Great stay!

Loved it

Very nice and clean. Family friendly and lots activities for the kids. Complimentary breakfast was good. Will definitely stay here again.

Perfect accommodations for family. Kitchen appropriately equipped with full fridge. No issues with noise of any kind and room and property kept nice and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

What an amazing hotel. This place was definitely meant for families. The games in the courtyard, the wonderful rooms with kitchen, even socials in the evening for a small bite and drink was great!
