Great breakfast spread, clean rooms, friendly staff, responsive customer service, well-priced.

The outdoor courtyard was fantastic! A lit of families enjoying and using this space. Our hostess at counter Liliana was wonderful, friendly and engaging! Very refreshing!

We stayed here instead of staying on the properties at legoland and couldn't have been more happier. It was only 10 minutes away for the park, had free parking and fun things to do for the kids. Our seven year old loved the pool and outdoor games. The staff was very welcoming and the rooms were quiet and clean. Would definitely stay again.

Sparkling clean, big open spaces, plenty of room for family gatherings inside and out

I was traveling with my daughter for a soccer tournament. When we arrived to our room, it came with just one king-bed. We immediately went to the lobby and requested for 2 queen-beds. Staff did not hesitate and gave us a different room. Very grateful for their understanding.

Das Zimmer war geräumig und sauber. Neben dem Bett gab es eine schöne Sitzeinheit mit Couch und Sessel. Das Bad war groß und der Duschkopf abnehmbar. Der Pool mit Hot Tub war sehr schön.

Free Breakfast and staff were very good; clean property and amenities, only Holiday Inn Express I've been to with a small basketball court, a unique dart board in the middle of the courtyard was also cool.

The location was great, the front desk staff was very friendly and the hotel and our room was very clean.

We dined at the on site restaurant for dinner our first night, the bartender that was serving the restaurant was very rude and overwhelmed. It looked like she was the only one serving the tables so she was very busy so i tried to be patient and understanding but every encounter with her she was very rude, at the end of our meal i ordered desert to take back to my room, she looked irritated but ran off to get it without asking anyone else at the table if they needed anything else. so when she came back with our desert my friend stopped her before she ran off again and ordered hers and she made a nasty comment "you know i have to make that" and stormed away again. it was very uncomfortable. i was excited about the convenience of having an on site restaurant after our long day at the beach and we were extremely disappointed and uncomfortable.

Room was very clean and spacious. The only issue was that the toilet could've been cleaner, but outside of that, the entire room seemed like it was clean and no issues. Location is good with two good places (Eureka and Carlsbad Brewing Co) to eat and drink right across the way. Also, Trader Joe's and Sprouts are very close too.

Restroom could've used more closer attention to cleaning.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of this Holiday Inn. The breakfast was also very good with plenty of choices.

Most of the staff were genuinely welcoming and always smiling, which made the experience even better. The kids’ entertainment options were great and kept them happy throughout the stay. The whole property felt fresh, clean, and well-maintained.

The rooms would be more convenient with an electric kettle. Also, if you’re planning to visit popular San Diego spots like the zoo, the hotel is a bit far — about a 45-minute drive each way but that is not their fault just heads up.

I love how everyone was super nice. We asked for more towels out in the pool and they came right away and took care of us. Everything was nice and clean . Big shout out to the housekeeping crew they do a amazing job , thank u!

I loved everything.

Parking was plentiful and easy to park close to the entrance. I had a spacious and well-appointed room with a nice king size bed (4 pillows), nightstands on both sides of the bed, a chest of drawers (3 drawers), a comfortable couch that converts into a bed, a desk, a couple of chairs, lots of well-placed light fixtures and a refrigerator. The closet was enormous and came with 8 normal clothes hangers. I enjoyed walking around the very large common courtyard area with lots of options to play outdoor games with friends and children. They had basketball courts, putting green, cornhole toss, archery with safe, soft Velcro arrows, and swimming to name a few. The dining area overlooked the courtyard and offered outdoor dining options. I prepaid for my breakfast, and it was delicious and plentiful. I was offered eggs over easy but declined. Plenty to do and see here in Carlsbad to keep you entertained and active.

The hotel was currently being renovated, and was not as inviting with painting and construction, but it was quiet. My room was nice, but I found the floor to be slightly dirty, after noticing my bare feet were dirty when I walked into the shower and found the dirt to be coming off once the feet were rinsed. I would have preferred a shower/tub combo in the bathroom. A printed channel guide for the TV networks would have been nice instead of relying on the onscreen guide from the cable provider. My bed was comfortable but found it hard to fall asleep when away from home.

The bed was comfortable. The room had sufficient accommodations. The blackout curtains really are blackout curtains. It’s walking distance to stores and restaurants. GREAT staff.

This is a popular destination for soccer teams as there are many soccer tournaments near here. There was a kid playing soccer in the room above us for hours- Saturday night until 1:00 am, and starting again at 7:30 am Sunday morning. We complained, but it continued. Soccer teams should not be in rooms near other guests. Also, there was a bunch of long black hair in the shower when we arrived. It didn’t appear to have been cleaned. And the bathroom floor was dirty.

Really nice hotel in a great area, everything was clean and spacious and the staff were super friendly and helpful! Loved our stay here. Breakfast was good too!

Spacious Room, Great Water Pressure, Comfortable Bed, Clean Room, Complementary Coffee in the Lobby, Friendly Staff, USB Ports readily available in the Room. Did not use any of the other amenities because we were out and about most of the time.

A/C made noise all night but kept room cool. The plug in the bathroom didnt work, so I had to dry my hair in the room without a mirror. The shower whistled while on (but we liked the pressure, so this is a small thing). Kids very, very noisy in the lobby and they would run up and down the hallway of the third floor where our room was located. Must have been a pre-teen convention going on somewhere.

Great facilities (gym, heated pool, laundry, other stuff), nice room, good shower. We arrived 3 hours early and got a room which was an unexpected bonus. Within 5-10 min walk of restaurants, Trader Joes etc. Handy to Legoland (10 min car ride). Handy to the suites next next door where we had family staying.

Breakfast was fine but not great for the price. We would have preferred a full self-service set up.

Staff at this place is comparable to a four seasons. Everyone is so upbeat and helpful. What a delight!

That there was a parking lot refinishing going on but it was just a minor inconvenience and I don’t care about that. They had signs that helped get to the lobby. Some kids were playing loud at the pool but they all stopped once the pool closing hours. Very minor inconvenience. Still had a peaceful stay.

I liked how close it was to good restaurants.

The room was infested with ants we had to ask for another room.

It was quiet on the weekend as it looks to be in a business park area .

Not walking distance to things like a bagel shop or other type of restaurants . But still ok. We had a toilet issue and just before we had to leave for a function we were told we needed to change rooms . The staff was very friendly and nice tho and moved our stuff for us after we repacked as we had to leave before we could move it and they found a room close to the one we originally had .

All the staff was super nice! It’s a great location, near to everything you need. Breakfast was very good! The food in general was great. Great bed and pillows. Very clean and comfortable.
