It was comfortable with 2 sitting rooms and our bedroom was fine, though up two flights of stairs, with no lift

We didn’t like the stuffed animals in the dining room

Bath room was a little small

Location and having the cottage was better for us than hotel rooms.

kitchen facilities were very basic. Would have expected some tea and coffee basics like you would get in a hotel room, especially as we were only there for two nights. Extractor not working in downstairs toilet. Generally the cottage is a bit down on its potential and could do with a refresh.

The room was clean and comfortable and the evening meal was good, served with a helpful member of staff.

The service at breakfast was slow which required a reminder to the one staff member serving at the time.

Hotel was fine but run like a pub…..it was not sure what custom it was catering for

One member of staff spoiled the whole experience…..bar maid /receptionist….caustic……zero people skills. We arrived only to find that catering was in the bar only…..no provision for guests….asked for a table….but the bar was full….not good. The other staff eventually sorted out a shared table….. The whole experience was appalling……best room…worst service…..

Echt schots hotel en leuk en gezellig dorp in de buurt. Fantastisch ingericht met foto's en tekeningen aan de muur. Ook leuke opgezette dieren aanwezig.

Lovely hotel with traditional decor, but well maintained and filled with character and charm. Very friendly and helpful staff. Just outside the center of Pitlochry. Very tasty breakfast.

Stressed, cold welcome at check in. We were clearly 1 of many. Mole in shower.. (room 4). Many directions in room.

We both had cooked breakfast which were excellent. The location was ideal for visiting Pitlochry, the floral display at the entrance was welcoming and impressive.

First time I have been to the Moulin hotel. Loved it - new area of Pitlochry for me - what a buzzing wee community - the hotel was busy with all ages and all nationalities. We were there for a theatre trip and thoroughly enjoyed the 20 minute was down into Pitlochry- the weather was lovely so we also walked back. Staff were lovely - breakfast delicious and room clean with comfy four-poster bed . Enjoyed a nightcap in the cozy wee bar. Will definitely be back.

Rooms are very dated, beds not really that comfortable, same comments from the other 4 guests I travelled with.

On the outside it looked lovely with hanging baskets Downstairs seemed fine. Nice lounge & dining room which served an excellent breakfast. Staff pleasant.

The bedroom was in dire need of updating. Everything old & the shower did’nt work.

Liked the pub next door so we could just walk there for dinner.

Short staffed, check in very rushed as poor guy was doing everything. Same at breakfast, had to wait a long time to order. I messaged hotel (and have a copy of message) to confirm twin beds in one room but was told I booked doubles in both. They made it right with a bit of a push.

We travel with our cocker spaniel and we ate dinner in the bar with him. However there was no provision for dogs at breakfast so we had to eat separately

Our room was quit dated , maybe needing an update . Also it had really loose squeaky floor boards.

Loved the staff, the character of the building & location. The breakfast was lovely & again great staff. The room was well equipped & clean.

There was a bit of a fousty smell in our part of the hotel, as a result we kept the windows open all night. Not sure what it was. The mattresses were a bit thin too.

We stayed in lilac cottage which had its own driveway and was right next to the hotel. Great rooms, lots of space and gardens. Was very pleasantly surprised

Away from the hustle and bustle of Pitlochry town centre. Inn and hotel in a lovely location with beautiful garden and plenty of tables for sitting out for drinks and food. Inside the inn was very quaint and well laid out with plenty of tables for eating and a lovely little bar. Hotel was lovely. Room very big and well equipped for our stay Very comfortable king size bed

Nous avons passé notre dernière nuit en ecosse au Moulin Hôtel, et ne pouvions rêver mieux. Nous avons rarement vu un hôtel aussi pittoresque et authentiquement écossais.

There are no lifts, we were on the second floor. Ok for me but not for my 80 year old travel buddy.

an den Zimmern müssten sie etwas tun ( es gibt auch wohl bessere Zimmer) wir hatten ein superior Zimmer, die Matratzen waren echt durchgelegen und das Bad eher 70-er Jahre Auch hier wieder die Parkplätze…. zu wenig und die Leute parken alle viel zu weit auseinander

Rooms might need a little make over

Me and my husband had a lovely anniversary celebration! Huge thank to everyone who looked after us. Food was fantastic, specially breakfasts. Never had such a lovely breakfasts, I would highly recommend. Definitely we are going to come back.

A lovely Inn in a village on the outskirts of Pitlochry. Comfortable room, which was very clean. Excellent dinner and breakfast. We will definitely stay again!

It is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the centre but.its just so beautiful

Eten bij het hotel is wel top, lekker en gezellig.

Sliepen in het cottage huisje vlakbij het hotel. Een donker huisje. 2 douches. Krap maar het werkt. Keuken service niet compleet voor 4 personen, pannen niet echt schoon en beschadigd. We verbleven er 2 nachten en toen gingen we gelukkig weer verder.

Couldn't fault anything, but potential guests need to be aware that the hotel is situated away from the main actives of Pitlochry, which wasn't a problem for us, but may not suit everyone.

Very big beds, excellent breakfast that catered for food allergies really well. Great peaceful spaces to relax. Great location for walk into town.

There is war memorial in front of the property. Seeing graves from the bedroom room was not expected.

We did not stay at the hotel itself but at two cottages close by. Both of these are the typically quaint British cottages, comfy, clean and compact

It was a bit further away from the train station that we would have liked - the walk to it is uphill all the way. Shower was a bit fiddly.

Location was great, about a mile from the centre of Pitlochry. The staff were all very pleasat, friendly and knowledgeable. The room was clean and comfortable. Double and a single bed in our room, again, very comfortable. The food at both dinner and breakfast was very good. Large choice on both menus. I would definitely return and would not hesitate in recommending.

I wasn't too keen on all the stuffed animals everywhere, especially in the breakfast dining room. Decor in bedroom a bit dated, however, overall ,it did not stop us enjoying our stay

Food in the restaurant was lovely and breakfast was ok. Staff all very friendly.

Rooms are a bit dated and while the beds were ok they were very squeaky. Also the water pressure in the shower was shocking and it was placed in such a position I couldn’t even stand underneath it.

Breakfast was pretty good, without being great. Staff were friendly. Good location for dog walks. Dog friendly on the whole (not in restaurant)

Black pudding & haggis looked as though been sitting around for a bit. Got evening meal order wrong. Overall okay though with staff doing their best. Lovely local walk. Long way to cart bags from car park then up various stairs/corridors.

We were very impressed with this place. It has a beautiful historical appearance. The pub section has lots of character, and the food was good. The pub produces its own cask beer (4 varieties at the time of my visit). The rooms were larger and better furnished than we expected at the price point we paid in quite an expensive area. Lovely coffee and tea tray in rooms. Beautiful pictures in the rooms and around the hotel. Extremely clean. The breakfast menue had several tempting choices, and I was very happy with my full Scottish breakfast. Car parking was very easy. This will be my first choice on my next visiit to Pitlochry. Well done, and keep it up !

Great staff and bar within the hotel, great beer garden. Breakfast was quick and casual in a nice setting.

We arrived late and stayed one night and left after breakfast. First impression of hotel was good.

The breakfast service was bad. I agree with other reviews about the guy who is out of his depth during breakfast and has no idea how to run a breakfast service at a hotel.

An absolutely wonderful little hotel a bit outside of the Pitlochry centre. The overall vibe was old-school in the best way possible, with the hotel co-located with a pub and a brewery. The staff was wonderful and really made you feel like home.
