Full payment for all bookings will be charged at the time of booking. All major credit & debit cards are accepted excluding American Express.
All bookings will include a temporary membership fee per person per night. (Full, existing members of Hosteling Scotland and HI using these channels are not entitled to a membership refund).
Individual reservations (Up to 9 people) - can cancel free of charge until 3 days before the arrival date. If canceled within the 3 days before the arrival 100 percent of the total price will be charged.
Groups reservations (more than 9 people) - different policies and additional supplements will apply. More than 8 weeks (57 days or more) 20% of total cost. 8 – 4 weeks (56- 29 days) 55% of total cost. 4 – 0 weeks (28 - 0 day) 100% of total cost.
No stag or hen parties are permitted at any youth hostel.
Should guests be entitled to a refund or part refund please note that these are processed by Hosteling Scotland National Office, Stirling. It may take 7 to 10 working days from the date of cancelation request for the refund to be processed back onto the original card used.
From the age of 12 to 15 years, young people must be accompanied by a parent or guardian of the same gender when booking a bed within shared accommodations. Parties with young children (under 12 years) will only be accommodated in private rooms, where available
Hosteling Scotland advise that additional notice be given to the destination youth hostel when traveling with children, to ensure that suitable accommodations is available. There is no capacity for extra beds or cots.
Check-in from 16:30 until 21:00 and check-out from 07:30 until 10:00.
The hostel is closed during the day for cleaning, it may be possible in some instances to drop luggage off but this must be arranged in advance with the hostel. The front door locks at 21:00 so late arrival and access outside opening hours is by pre-arrangement only.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Staff is very friendly and explained everything very well and you are able to store your belongings before check in

Reviewed Sep 13, 2026Die Lage war super. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Positiv waren die bequemen Betten und wie gesagt die tolle Lage. Wir waren schnell in dem hübschen Ortskern.
Das Haus ist zwar alt, könnte aber besser in Ordnung gehalten werden. Es wirkt alles vergammelt. Die Vorhänge im Zimmer hingen teilweise herab, das Fenster hatte irgendwelche Klebestreifen und das Bad war nicht besonders sauber. Das Frühstück war sehr spartanisch und die Gläser und Tassen fast dreckig.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2026Las vistas desde el hotel. WOW!!! En la entrada terraza hay dos mesas para comer con unas vistas espectaculares a todo Pitlochry, era magico salir por la mañana y volver por la noche en ese entorno.
Las habitaciones son hipersencillas, a mi me da igual porque solo quiero cama y ducha, pero para gente repipi no lo recomiendo.

Places de parking limités. Il n'y avait plus de places quand nous sommes arrivés. Heureusement que nous avons pu nous garer un peu plus bas sur la route gratuitement.

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026De locatie is heel mooi. De kamer was schoon en de badkamer nieuw. De gemeenschappelijke ruimtes zijn fijn en de lounges gezellig ingericht. Er is gratis koffie/thee en warme chocomelk. Eén van de vrouwen die daar werkte was heel vriendelijk, ook toen ik wat moeilijk keek bij de mededeling over van 10 to 16 gesloten zijn.
De matrassen hebben een plastic hoes, dat slaapt niet fijn (het glijdt en het zweet). De kussens zijn heel dik en hard, hebben gevraagd om een wissel (had op andere lamers dunnere gezien). Dat was geen optie: alle kussens zouden in gebruik zijn. Lijkt mij onwaarschijnlijk voor zo'n groot hostel, dat er geen reserve zijn. Belangrijkste was echter dat er helemaal geen moeite werd gedaan. Chagrijnig antwoord alsof je te veel bent. Je moet van 10 tot 16 ergens anders verblijven (tenzij je zoals wij gelukkig een privé kamer hebt). Dit betekent dat je niet bij je eten kunt en voor 10 uur ontbeten moet hebben. Onze kamer had 2 stapelbedden. Niet fijn om te relaxen, daarom ook gekozen voor iets met gemeenschappelijke ruimtes. De WiFi lag er de hele tijd uit.... Met name één vrouw die er werkt was echt onvriendelijk. Ze blaft bevelen ipv iets vragen of zeggen. De prijs is maar iets lager dan een gewoon hotel. Dat is het echt niet waard vind ik.

Non hanno gli asciugacapelli per gli ospiti e le stanze se pur pulite non erano proprio profumate! I cuscini da cambiare.

Il manque quelques places de parking autour du youth hôtel.

El baño de la habitación estaba recién remodelado y las griferías funcionaban muy bien. Las habitaciones eran cómodas y amplias.
El panelado de madera de las paredes estaba un poco envejecido, al igual que la cama lo que hacía que chirriase. Aún así, ha sido una estancia genial y volvería mañana mismo. Muy recomendable.

Reviewed Aug 5, 2026Ottima posizione, a pochi minuti a piedi dal centro. Le camere erano pulite e spaziose anche se minimali. Noi avevamo una matrimoniale con bagno interno. Quasi tutto lo staff era gentile. La colazione abbastanza fornita nonostante sia un hostello per la gioventù. Ci ritornerei.
Unica persona scorbutica, una ragazza che alle 9,05 (fine colazione alle 9) ci ha fatto interrompere bruscamente la colazione.

Reviewed Aug 4, 2026Susan the manager was lovely and very accomodating. And a towel was included with the stay which was amazing!
It did not feel like a youth hostel there were people of all ages checking in. Which is not the worst thing but when you book a youth hostel i would expext it to mostly be young people. It is a small town so they do need the bussiness which is understandable and the people were very nice.
