Good location, friendly staff.

For the price we paid, hotel was not exactly in the best condition. Mattress/bedding was uncomfortable.

Room was right across from the beach and it was clean and looked updated. The A/C in the room worked great. The location was convenient to everything. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Beach passes, umbrella and chairs were included. They also offered a golf cart shuttle service to downtown Cape May if you didn't want to move your car. The beach was wonderful, people were respectful and I didn't smell one cigarette the entire day while sitting on the beach.

It was very costly for 2 nights for the type of accommodations. It is referred to as a resort, but reminded me more of a motel with open-air stairwells and open-air walkways to each door. You also have an open, shared balcony with your neighbors. Our mattresses were uncomfortable and very noisy every time you moved to turn over, definitely not what I expected for the price. The pool and parking areas are pretty small for a resort as well. For first timers to Cape May, NJ, you have to pay a fee per-person to enter certain beaches unless your resort provides passes, and some beaches open and close at certain times. New Jersey's gas stations are ALL full service so you may not pump your own gas.

I liked the proximity to the beach and main street along the ocean with restaurants. They also offer beach chairs and umbrella for the pool and there is a good restaurant at the hotel. They also offer a car service but we didnt' use it. There is a pool on site which is decent, but not as luxurious looking as the photos on the site.

I didn't like being nickle and dimed for early arrival (by 2 hours), or the fact that check in not until 4 and then check out is at 11, and we only have use of the beach until 12, and then they basically kick you out of the facilities, and the parking lot. If I arrive at 4, more than half of the day is gone at this point, and leaving by 12, is not a full stay - so if you want to continue to enjoy the beach, you have to pay for the beach, and pay for parking separately on the street. Just didn't appreciate that nickle and dime approach as most hotels/resorts allow you to at least use the amenities after you vacate the room (until at least 4pm check in time would have been ideal, to make it a full 24 hour stay, and still allow enough time to clean the rooms). I also didn't like that while I realized we picked the room without the ocean view, it literally faced the stairwell, and people kept peeking into our room, and if we kept the curtains completely shut, it was very dark in the room.

1-Parking available and allowed if you come in early. 2-Rooms are comfortable and well furnished. In line with what you’d expect for the price.

1- The room was not well vacuumed when we checked, as there was sand in many places, such as over the coffee table and on the floor. 2- The hotel offers beach tags and an umbrella, included in the price. If you arrive early to take advantage of the day at the beach you need to do an "early check-in" that has a $50 additional charge, if you buy the beach tags yourself, the cost $10 ea. Additionally, you need to return the ID bracelets by check-out (11 AM), so it limits the ability to use.

Very frustrating that I arrived at 10 and was told I’d have to pay an extra $50 if I wanted to use the pool or beach passes. This was not the case last year, and it is ridiculous considering beach tags are $10.

Room was clean- liked the easy access to elevators and office building. Pool was nice and clean.

Shower head was at the height of my knees. Awkward and unpleasant to use. Balcony and front door was right next to balcony where staff and restaurant guests hung out/smoked which was awkward. Curtains were wide open when we walked in and was faced with a restaurant full of people who could see us- very uncomfortable.

$50 charge for early check in, too many people coming all at once left no room to park. Long walk to room. Tv did not work, freezer did not work( which caused a mess), outlet away from wall. Ice machine out of order. Room was small. Low table for coffee. No place to put toiletries in bathroom ( had to place bag on floor)front desk very impersonal at checkout.

The room. It was next to an outdoor stairway so the curtains had to be closed the whole time making the room dark.

The proximity to the beach. On-site included parking. Nice size pool. Very clean. Nice to have beach side views but rooms a bit narrow. Did very much like the kitchenette with included dishes, soap, and paper towels.

Beach tags due back by noon the day of checkout. Beds and pillows were pretty cheap and uncomfortable.

The room was huge and beautiful! We loved having a kitchenette. We loved the rooms were separate from the living room and balcony area. The kids could go to bed and the adults could stay up. The location was PERFECT! Right on the beach and restaurants. We could relax without having to drive anywhere. I also loved that beach passes, beach chairs, towels, and an umbrella was provided free with our stay.

Very clean and cozy.

We asked for the room closer to the elevator because my husband does not walk without his walker, painful and slow walk. Unfortunately, the room 303 is very-very far from elevator. For my husband it was extremely difficult to get to the room.

The location and the staff was nice.

The room we had was horrible. Ceiling tiles with water stains. The tv was cracked, the balcony door net was ripped, the bathroom was dirty and had hair in it, the ironing board was broken, the pullout couch was SO uncomfortable. Definitely a lot better options that are cheaper. Definitely not a 500 dollar room.

staff was extremely unfriendly. woman at the front desk who worked in morning and afternoon on Sunday May 31 told guests that she didn't want to have to repeat herself and that they need to pay attention when she speaks. she also had no explanation on why late check out was not possible when on check in the night before the guaranteed another hour.

The Montreal is located across from the beach! The views from our balcony were awesome. Our room was spacious, clean and the kitchenette worked well! Everything you need is walkable.The pool, staff and shuttle were amazing!

We had the no frills room. But when opening the curtains we could see the ocean from our third floor room. The room was clean and we were across the street from the beach. Beach Ave.

This room was to small for two queen beds and two chairs in the room. You only could watch TV from sitting on the bed. The two chairs were against the wall facing one of the beds. No room to move it. Also the room was on a corner and we had to keep curtain shut because people were walking by night and day. This room should have one bed and two chairs in it only.

No Access from the lobby to our room directly, but, fortunately, we were glad for a first floor room where we could park near our door to see pack.

Well, we booked four nights in early April, a time that is usually quiet in Cape May. Most of the restaurants and hotels are closed. The hotel was okay for our needs, but because of the craziness at airports due to the government TSA shutdown, people decided not to fly at spring break and drove down the shore instead, so the hotel was pretty full and somewhat noisy. I'll write the pros and cons from our viewpoint: PROS The hotel is right across from the beach, and we had a good view. It's right in the middle of all the action. Our room seemed to be recently renovated, was clean and had a kitchen with microwave, dishes, utensils, a wine pull and everything we needed. If you are looking for a cruise-ship like experience for a family, this hotel will be for you: it has a restaurant and rooftop bar, pool, bikes and the front desk is very friendly. CONS: Our deluxe room on the third floor was right over the outdoor rooftop bar. Keep in mind that if you ask for a room not over the rooftop bar, further south, it will be over the pool. So it's not a place to seek peace and quiet. We were there the first night the restaurant/bar was open and there was loud music being played on the rooftop bar although it was raining and nobody was there. It was playing until after 10pm. The bedroom in our suite was in the back, next to the hall, and so you could hear everyone going to and from the elevator all night.

Loved the huge balcony, even though it was a little too cold to sit out there.

The walls are very thin and we could hear the people in the room next to us having a conversation.

I left a day early and nobody noticed. I hated the cleaning. The floor wasn't clean, there were two days when they didn't clean or take out the trash. They sent text messages asking if I wanted cleaning and I replied "yes" and nothing was done. Very bad. I don't recommend it to anyone.

Although the weather was miserable, we enjoyed the bar/restaurant for the evening.

The parking lot was very tight with little room between car but there was ample guest parking.

We had to pay fifty dollars additional to move one floor up for a better oceanview, even though the hotel was empty and off season. The bed was quite uncomfortable very worn. There was absolutely nowhere to get ice only from the office on the first floor which was quite a hike.They said nothing was really set up because the season had just begun.It was quite inconvenient.

My room unbeknownst to me connected to a very noisy group of ppl. I was also overlooking the su deck very undesirable. Gym was a joke. Front desk clerk was rude. Would never stay again!!!

room dividing door very difficult to open and close. Rip in seam of shower curtain. TVs and microwave not showing the correct time. I was able to correct the microwave clock. Need LG remotes to crrect TVs. Also, 1 TV's viewing aspect ratio is off. It is cutting off the picture around all sides. Main door closes hard and to quick.
