The property was beautiful! We wished the pool was a little bigger and not as warm but the stay was great, room was cozy and staff were amazing!

The pool was a little small and too warm and the bathroom was a little small and needs work. Tiles were broken and shower head wasn’t great!

We came here to Cape May with my son and (now) fiancee for a wonderful weekend! It was billed as a birthday weekend for me, but it was really for my son to propose to his girlfriend on Sunset Beach on Saturday night (she said YES!) The hotel front desk was very accommodating and informative. There was no parking on site upon our arrival at 4pm, but there was free street parking right behind the hotel which was super easy. The rooms! OMG! You walk in and are just struck with a beach feel. White, bright, and gorgeous. We had a wonderful view of the ocean off our balcony. The bed was THE most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. As a matter of fact, I’m on a hunt to now find the same mattress at home. Soft linens with fluffy pillows. I never sleep late, but this bed was the epitome of comfortable. The bathroom was HUGE and actually had a shower stall rather than a bathtub/shower combo! My hubby and I both loved that, and the shower head had great pressure too. The Keurig machine in the room was confusing and a bit of a hot mess. The coffee pods provided gave us very watery coffee. Either they are terrible pods, or we were just doing it wrong. BUT…there is coffee in the lobby. We used the shuttle service to go into town and it was super convenient and we had virtually no wait. John, our shuttle driver, was fantastic and he became a wonderful tour guide during our short trips to and from town. This is a man who clearly loves his job and loves Cape May, and it was a pleasure having him as our driver. I don’t think I will ever want to stay anywhere else other than Icona on our future Cape May trips (and we WILL be back!). It was a magical weekend! This hotel is 1000% worth the price. When coming to Cape May, splurge a bit and stay here. You won’t be sorry!

Excellent place to stay. Very clean and comfortable accommodations. The premium King suite is perfect for a couple with a balcony and side view of the ocean.Jo Jo was absolutely fantastic with my check in and check out she’s an absolute star!!!! Thank you Jo Jo for making me feel special.

Sorry to say, this property was a rip-off.l for a summer weekend at the NJ shore. Although we recognized lodging prices would be inflated at peak vacation season, for $800+ nightly we expected accommodations with a working bathroom outlet, television, and adequate on-site parking. If budget-priced, one might tolerate those inconveniences for a night or two, but at this price tier there’s surely better value to be found, even if a short drive up the GS Parkway.

This hotel is excellent! Rooms are great, including a kitchenette. Rooms with a balcony. The shuttle service is a HUGE plus. John was amazing and went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of and got where we needed to go in a timely manner. The location is great- walking distance to many bars and restaurants, and right across from the beach. The ladies in room service were very kind- Ana was so nice and very accommodating. Highly recommended!

The two ladies that worked at the front desk were rude, and the housekeepers didn’t speak English and didn’t understand English, and the bathroom was dirty with hair everywhere including my towels and in the shower, toilet and sink

I thought the facility was very good, clean and well located. I would stay again. It was across the street from the Grand Hotel which we have stayed multiple times. It's location makes it easy to get to beach and if you have to travel it's easier getting in and out of town. It's not far from Washington Mall and restaurants.

Parking parking parking. We ended up having to park at a meter due to limited parking. If you are ok with using shuttle to get around it may not be an issue at all. This has been an issue at most of the hotels we stayed at in Cape May. But was a little more of an issue here.

All very polite, knowledgeable, friendly. And the cleanliness is beyond belief. Have stayed at many fine hotels but this is just perfect!

First time here and I’m sure we will be back! Hotel is very clean and well kept. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We loved having the beach chair and umbrella service. Location can’t be beat! Highly recommend the Icona Cape May!

Really great choice for our stay! Very friendly staff. Key points: Walk directly across the street for beach access, Shuttle service in town (no charge), we went to the grocery store to pick up some items and it was very convenient to be picked up by the shuttle! Very clean rooms! Seems every room has a balcony (side view to the ocean or oceanfront suites), Comfortable beds, plush towels and wash cloths, nice smelling toiletries-even makeup wipes! All in all, great place to stay, would return again! Thank you ICONA!

Only thing I would change is should offer beach lounge chairs instead of beach chairs. It’s nice to be able to lay down.

The location, room, natural lighting,…everything was absolutely perfect.

I thought the suite would be two beds, it’s a bed and a pull out bed which was not as comfortable. Also, the parking is not very convenient.

Three friends and I went to Icona Cape May June 1st for two beautiful nights to celebrate our two friends 70th birthdays. Parking was good and as soon as we got up to reception, we were greeted warmly and our rooms were side by side which was great. I wanted to take the bed home with me as it was like sleeping on a cloud! Everything was super clean and smelled super fresh. It was easy access into Cape May including the van which took us everywhere we wanted to go, and then picked up at Washington Mall across from the church. John, our driver was a real character. He was very knowledgeable, cracked jokes and made us feel at home. We had a lot of laughs with him, and he was a true gentleman helping us on and off the van. You could actually walk to Washington Mall which is only about 1 mile if you are a good walker. I went to look at the pool, which is small, but I didn't really use it and my friends just sat around it for a little bit to get some air. We didn't go to the beach, but I heard reception calling ahead and if you want it, you could get an umbrella with two lovely lounge chairs so you didn't have to carry anything across the street with you. All in all, our stay at Icona was fabulous, and we look forward to returning again!

This hotel is quaint, yet modern. Possibly the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in. It is beautiful, each room beautifully decorated. All staff members we were acquainted with were so friendly and helpful. Two outstanding services are the shuttle and beach convenience. This was a girls’weekend, and having the beach chairs & umbrellas taken over & set up was a blessing. And, John, our shuttle driver was terrific!! Won’t stay anywhere else. Pamela Verdi.

A nice aesthetic, style, white, bright, very clean. Very comfortable, room, bathroom, beds. Easy free parking & quiet. While it is not located near the center of town it is a 15 minute walk. The price is less than center so that’s nice. & it’s easy to drive & find parking in town in April & I understand there is a shuttle in season. Right on the ocean with a porch & chairs to sip wine & take in the ocean views and sweet air. Friendly helpful staff.

I’d prefer to have breakfast availability on site tho there are nearby places & a lil kitchenette in the room

Stayed here with my wife and our kid and it hit that sweet spot of being nice without feeling stiff. Everything felt dialed in — super clean, modern rooms, and the kind of setup where you can actually relax instead of dealing with random issues. Location is strong. Right by the beach, easy in and out, and not chaotic. Perfect if you want Cape May vibes without being stuck in crowds all day. The pool area and beach setup were clutch. Chairs ready, space to spread out, and it never felt like a fight to enjoy it. Staff was on point too — not overbearing, just handled things fast when needed. Rooms had that upgraded feel — good lighting, solid AC, comfortable beds. You can tell they invest in keeping it sharp. If you’re doing a family trip and want something that feels a step up but still easy, this place delivers. Would come back.

Friendly staff. Spacious, clean, well-maintained rooms. Comfortable bed and well appointed bathroom. Shuttle bus with friendly driver took us to dinner and picked us up afterwards. This was a great perk!

Thermostat was tricky. If adjusting temperature up more than 1°, the heat would come on automatically. If adjusting thermostat down more than 1°, air conditioning would come on.

Our stay at Icona Cape May exceeded our expectations. Very clean, quiet and extremely comfortable bedding, are the requirements that we look for, and what we found during our visit.

From beginning to end everything was perfect. Friendly front desk staff, room was super clean and well appointed, location was perfect and it was just such a lovely stay. Located in walking/ quick driving distance to all the must-do sites to see and places to eat. Will definitely return again!

The hotel is immaculately clean. The location is away from the downtown area with a covered parking area. Front desk personnel were friendly and offered good recommendations. The Icona is worthy of your patronage on all levels.

My wife and I have been coming to Icona for over 5 years. We try to get down several times each year and it never disappoints. All the staff is so friendly and makes us feel like we’re at home. The rooms are always so nice, modern feel, and very clean. Walking distance from everything! Thank you for consistently providing us an amazing experience!!!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Icona Cape May. When we arrived, JoJo greeted us by name. A fantastic way to start our stay! Check-in was quick and simple. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. We had a wonderful time and couldn’t be happier with our time away. We would definitely come back and plan to again sometime soon.

Had a wonderful time at Cape May Icona! We visit each year for Valentine’s Day weekend! Trish, JoJo, Rali, John and Al not to mention the housekeeping staff are all amazing! The hotel is beautifully decorated and the rooms are super clean! We’ll be back for Memorial Day!

We originally booked the Icona Diamond Beach. However, the water main burst and the fire sprinklers in hotel were inoperable. We were informed to compensate us, we'd been booked at Icona Cape May in the exclusive oceanfront suite! What a wonderful treat for my husband and I! Such a gorgeous view and first class suite. The resort staff is at the top of their game making us feel welcomed and valued. We stay at Icona DB and Icona CM often over the years since their existence. And have always enjoyed our accommodations and the friendliness of the resorts' staff.

Oceanfront suite was large and exactly what we needed. Beautiful view of the ocean. Bathrooms were clean, beds were comfortable, ample space for clothing.

Water pressure in the showers was a little lacking. And could have used a bit more counter space in the bathrooms as well.

Clips were missing on murphy bed so worried it would flop open during the day.
