Working outside the property from builders, very early, customers banging the corridor doors, beds were very uncomfortable

The rooms don't have kettles - understandable at the price but you need to remember to take your own, otherwise the hot water is in the lobby and they are charging for it.

Toilet was dirty asked for it to be cleaned it was not the door had a big gap at the bottom every time someone walked-passed the door it banged n ok sleep all night

The location was good.

There are no windows in the room. It was hot and stuffy despite the air conditioning. The hotel also seems to double as a place where people recovering from difficulties stay. There were people hanging around the front door drunk and drinking when I checked in and out. No issue for me as a single adult traveller, but I wouldn't have wanted to stay there with my kids when they were younger.

This hotel has great potential with a good location. The reception staff are polite and helpful. Towels nice and fluffy

Google maps doesn't know where it is. Ended up trailing round Newcastle searching for it in the dark. Seems to be getting a facelift, but our room hadn't been done. Lots of problems in the room. Shower door broken, key card holder/AC control hanging off wall, broken window, broken safe, wires coming out wall, dirty windows.... It did for one night, but was glad to move on.

Good location for the price point

When I arrived in the room, I noticed a very unpleasant scent.. it wasn’t until I arrived back from a night out with friends to have found stains on the inside of my bed I believe to have been human faeces. Having to go down to reception early hours, had nothing be done about it aside from a different sheet handed to me is despicable to be honest. To top it off, I then had to stay in this room which meant I didn’t sleep as great as I had liked to and was woken up very abruptly and greeted rudely by staff demanding i get out. Whilst I understand I had slept past check out slightly, the least that could’ve been done is to communicate with other staff and explain the situation and possibly have some leeway as my sleep was severely disrupted by soiled sheets :(

Very clean, bright, modern room in a hotel in the heart of Newcastle, 5 minutes walk from the Central Station and adjacent to the Quayside. My room had a large window which helped enormously and the bathroom was nice and bright too. The room was very quiet and I slept well, despite the hotel being apparently fully booked. The staff were very friendly and efficient too.

A slight annoyance was having to fill out a questionnaire on arrival (name, address etc) when all of that was provided at the time of booking.

Didn’t realise it was so basic not even a chair in room . You get what is. Needed a bed , 1x pillow and a cover (no top sheet on bed) , toilet, shower in room

Stayed here a few times now, mainly because it's great value for money. But the location suits my needs close to the station and I find the staff friendly and efficient and the hotel basic but comfortable.

The view from my room was into small courtyard There was at times an unpleasant smell coming from there, there was constant noise from an ac unit outside I had to change rooms on arrival because the lights in the first weren't working at all, not a big problem but unnecessary The key for my room stopped working after a day

The shower gel dispenser in the shower was empty. Fortunately, I always carry some when I travel but very nearly didn't this time as I've stayed before and knew it was provided. Not a big problem and I could have asked at reception but didn't bother.

Our room smelt of sick when we arrived. We spoke to staff at reception and they said they were fully booked so we couldn’t move rooms. We were given room spray and an extra key card so we couldn’t move rooms keep the air conditioning on to try and get rid of the smell. They said they would give us late check out for free but they still haven’t refunded us. It was such a shame because the location is brilliant but we couldn’t stand the room because of the smell

Ik ben gebeten door bedwantsen en werd veel te vroeg in de ochtend wakker door jeuk. Ik heb er nu al teee dagen last van. Via de receptionist en via een online klacht heb ik melding gedaan en nog niets vernomen.

Usual monthly stay.. Accessible, good value..secure, clean & comfortable ensuite double.. Easy to book.. Close to River &Town Centre.. Avails easy Train Station access for early set offs.. All good..

The room we stayed in wad too small for quad. The beds were too close. Not enoough room to manourver. Size of toom more suitable for a double room. The other issue is the tv channels were not all showing

Rooms are little run down and basic but its a cheap stay and just somewhere to rest head so not bothered!

Location of the room was good, and the room was generally very clean had a small problem with the key cards not working but nothing that couldn't be fixed and the staff were very nice

The room layout was very odd there were mirrors everywhere but none of them were in a good place to use and the was no chair in the room. Also the only plug sockets that werent by the bed was on the middle of a wall that was near nothing. Just generally had an odd layout

Been here before, again, a basic comfortable place to get cleaned up and sleep. Right in the centre of town, all just what we look for, a basecamp for visiting somewhere. Late night reception helpful and courteous especially to a none customer who was struggling to find a room somewhere late at night while we were waiting. This room we were in had a sloping ceiling and it was small so gave a claustrophobic feel when standing on the confined side of the bed, but okay once in bed. No room for a table or desk. I don't think it had a nightstand either. But, perfectly satisfactory as we paid very little. I have to say, there wasn't anything to complain about. I'm just adding this little comment as I'm prompted to by this review format. All was good and added to our enjoyable stay in Newcastle upon Tyne.

La chambre est très très mal insonorisée. On entend toute la rue, les voitures, les oiseaux, les gens, les bars, les restaurants, etc. Impossible de s’endormir ! Je me suis endormis vers 3h ou 4h du matin, seulement une fois que le bruit avait cessé dans la rue. L’hôtel devrait sérieusement songer à changer ses fenêtres pour mettre quelque chose de totalement insonorisé.

Room was clean and simple. Everything you could want. Absolutely lovely staff, over the afternoon, evening and morning I met 3 different ones and each were just super nice and welcoming. Nice coffe in reception. Vending machine. So many shops, pubs, bars and clubs nearby. Lots of fast food also. I like the security of the hotel you need your key to access each part.

Ideal location for anyone exploring the city centre. Although our room was mostly clean, the corridors were very much the opposite. A few minor things such as not having bin liners in the bin or even having a bin in the main room itself we’re a bit odd. Overall, this hotel is fine if you need somewhere to stay for a good location in the city centre.

Found out from friends I was meeting their hotel (200yds away. Well known chain) was £30 cheaper. Homeless gather 5yds from hotel entrance in small groups. (Be aware if you are a solo traveller)
