Lovely modern rooms with great amenities- loved the complimentary mini bar soft drinks and snacks. Great to have robes as well. All in all, a very comfortable stay.

Die Lage war ausgesprochen gut. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch konnte beim Parkhaus Hilfe geboten werden. Das Frühstück war frisch und ansprechend. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir haben es sehr geschätzt, dass alles sehr sauber und vor allem auch gut unterhalten ist. Das ist leider nicht überall so. Alles zu unserer vollen Zufriedenheit. Auf unserer 10-tägigen Rundreise bisher das Beste mit gutem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

The hotel is a very impressive building and was in a perfect location. We were greeted by Sam & Steven on reception and they were amazing! Rooms were impeccably clean and decorated and maintained to a high standard. Thanks all at Aloft

Location and style

The room was in the basement even though we booked months ago. There was a train running underneath which kept us awake. When mentioned we were told we could have a different room when we stopped again

Pillows were all rather large and not that comfortable to sleep on. Impossible to use shower without water running out onto bathroom floor. Heavy foot traffic could be heard from floor above.

Large room, great location, breakfast was ok.

We checked in early, great start, but quickly went downhill....had to change room as the sliding toilet door to the bathroom was broken and stuck wide open! We were given another room 411 , which turned out to be a disabled room which we didn't need! It smelled musty and damp, (we later found out why when it started raining around 1am and we could hear water dripping onto the skirting and soaked the carpet). We complained in the morning and the duty manager said they were aware of the issue with the damp!!! We were offered a 30% refund which is still outstanding. We will not be using Aloft again due to this very poor experience. Poppy who was on reception was really nice and clearly learning the ropes, so not her fault that it took her 20mins to make a very poor long island iced tea.

Since the Marriott takeover the staff seemed distracted, and the welcome was certainly not as friendly as on previous visits. It was difficult to even get eye contact from reception staff.

Good clean, modern hotel in a good location

Breakfast wasn’t the best and beds weren’t overly comfy. Parking information unclear and we went to the wrong carpark which meant we didn’t receive discounted car parking. We only discovered this when checking out. Feel like reception could maybe check with guests when they check in and ask where they have parked to avoid confusion?

There was a broken doorframe in the room with a conjoining door and also a broken toilet roll holder. However, the maintenance staff came and fixed this quickly.

Great location to centre of liverpool, shops pubs food all within minutes. Tesco Express literally round the corner, pub over the road. Also a nice bar/restaurant in the hotel though we didn't eat there. Lovely staff, welcoming and friendly. Checked in by Stephen who was very lovely. Checked out by a lady I didn't catch her name but she was happy to help as we needed luggage holding until a few hours later when we got our train. This is a brilliant feature as it allowed us to spend the day unencumbered and only have to carry the heavy bag 10 mins to lime street! We are local and came for 1 night to celebrate a birthday. 1st stay here but will not be the last, very comfy gorgeous shower in the king room. Included a mini fridge allowing us to get drink and keep it cool. Great value for money. 5*

Central location, but quiet. 10 min walk from train station. Clean, polite, friendly staff especially Chelsea! Had problem with shower came straight away and sorted it for us. Comfy beds. Fridge in rooms, all you need kettle and coffee/tea, bottled water. Could not ask for anything more of this hotel. Beautiful decoration all through the hotel. Food is lovely and plenty of selection for everyone.

Location is brilliant. Rooms spacious and comfortable . Staff friendly and always amazing and definitely went above and beyond as there were problems with the key cards . But the staff were so attentive and actually took you to your rooms every time. With no moaning and completely smiled and chatted all the time. They definitely deserve more payment with how the staff helped with this problem!!!

Obviously there was trouble with the key cards and water went off for an hour on the Thursday morning as having maintenance work done on lower floors.only other thing is there was a slight smell in the rooms when first entering the room, maybe slightly damp smell.

Our room was directly opposite the lift which created a lot of noise when other guests were waiting for or exiting it.

Habitaciones, con muy poca iluminación, muy oscuras, no tiene puerta en el retrete ni en el baño, cero intimidad. Además, las ventanas no aíslan bien y se mucho el ruido de la calle al igual que los portazos de las habitaciones colindantes, no pudimos descansar en los cuatro días.

Literally couldn’t find fault with anything. Marriott needs to know what a cracker of a hotel they have plus a great set of professional employees.

Great location and lovely staff from the friendly, helpful girls on the front desk to Aaron, the lovely guy in the restaurant, who went to the kitchen to make me a stronger coffee as the machine coffee was too weak for me. Room seemingly recently refurbished and fresh looking. Large bottles of shampoo and shower gel provided. Plenty of towels. Large comfortable bed with good quality bed linen and good powerful shower. Full length mirror. Couldn't fault the room or the staff.

Dirty plate left by my room door when I arrived though the room had been cleaned. Wifi didn't work, so internet TV didn't work either. Phone didn't work so had to go down to reception each time there was an issue. No conditioner the whole time I was there even though the room was serviced during my stay. There was dust/white powder/fluff on the TV stand. Breakfast wasn't great. Huge selection but hard hash browns and bacon.

Fantastic location for siteseeing as 5 mins walk from Albert docks and ferry. Railway station around the corner. No atmosphere. The room was lovely and bright and comfy but only had one chair and there were 2 of us. We were disappointed that there was no where to relax after a very busy day. Glad we stayed there but wouldn't go back.

Had a 5 day stay with an organised tour, lovely hotel, clean & decent choice at meal times the towels were changed daily. All the staff were friendly & helpful with a special mention to Steve who was very helpful he always made time for a friendly chat, he even came to see us off on our coach, will definitely stay again if we visit Liverpool

Staff were excellent. Friendly, approachable and knowledgeable of the buildings history and location. Room was perfect. Had a twin room, beds were slightly larger than expected. Bathroom was spacious. Room had lots of storage and shelfs to put your gear on. Aircon was a god send with the uk summer in full swing. Upon check in was given a third card key to leave in the slot in the room so the aircon remained on. Little details like that was ingenious.

Att dörren till toaletten fastnade så att jag inte kunde ta mig ut själv, min partner fick hjälpa mig. Dagen efter kom en reparatör men inte ens hon kunde fixa det. Frukosten var inte särskilt bra.

Stayed in 2 hotels before in Liverpool before until here and this was the best! It's quiet considering you're in the heart of the city and 5 minutes walk from The Cavern quarter. As it's a busy hotel some decorations are a little tired but it's not the Savoy!! It's clean and the staff are excellent, friendly and personable. It's the type of place you meet them but leave as friends. A special mention for Stephen, Kelly and Jacqueline who are more like family now! Well worth staying here whether it's a night or a week to explore this amazing city. Will be back here sooner rather than later!

On arrival despite being at the front of the check-in queue I was told to move aside as there was a group arriving imminently and they’d be with me soon. I sat down just to the side of check-in and waited 30mins.

Location, cleanliness, decor, food was good, staff very friendly. Beds were so comfy. Loved it.

The sliding door in bathroom was really heavy & stiff. That was the only niggle.

No covers on fruit, cold meat and pastries at breakfast there was a fly buzzing all over them!

Stayed here few times few times location is great for Matthew street, friendly staff and highly recommend.

My friend and I were on a coach tour holiday with outings included. The location of this hotel was second to none, very central and within easy walking distance of The Cavern Club, Liverpool One and the docks. The accommodation was comfortable, with air-conditioning in the room, which was simple to control. There was a sliding door between the shower area and the dressing room area which was very heavy and difficult to close properly. Everything else in the room was good and we even had a small fridge and a safe if we needed it. No evening entertainment, which was a little disappointing, as with other trips this is included. Although, this was a third party hotel and not one owned by our tour company. Breakfast and evening meals were included and consisted of buffet style, help yourself arrangement. The food, for the most part was very nice, but towards the end of our stay the choices became limited. The staff were very friendly and helpful and created a nice atmosphere.
